The story expands in Omnibus Two, growing both in complexity and depth, while becoming ever darker. The original party is shattered by treachery, and the survivors take separate paths toward their desperate goals. More is revealed about the nature of the Dark, how the Boogeyman controls it, and how he converted the lost and broken toys to be his minions, but much mystery remains. The boy searches for a way home, but is toyed with by Boogeyman. New characters are introduced who are neither true allies of our heroes nor full minions of the Boogeyman. The world of the Dark grows ever more fascinating by the page a sort of dark Oz for mature tastes.

Huge fan of this series! Magnificently illustrated, completely unpredictable, and pretty damn dark. The Jester is my new character crush!

Is this really the end? Are there more volumes to this beautiful series? And why the authors are busy creating a board game for The Stuff of Legend instead of drawing on? I was reading and reading and suddenly there was no more story but tons of images... I hate that: your hand feels pages but in the end they're just bonus content!
So, Jester's has a brother and the Dark has a whistle that can revive broken toys. Jester's brother has been revived but he's not the same person.
There are dolls, trains, tin soldiers and stuffed animals. All of them are making up the world in which this graphic novel is set. It's kind of scary to think about one's discarded toy. I mean, what would all my stuffed animals do to me, if I had ended up in the Dark? Would Bimbo protect me, seeing he still is my favorite doll?
Note to all non-Italian speakers: Bimbo means "little boy".
The art is fantastic and the sepia colors are one of the best thing I've ever seen.
I wish they would write more.

It keeps going, pulling you further into the realm of broke toys, darkness and new friends. Had me at the edge of my seat, really looking forward to the next one..cannot wait to see what unfolds.

I love this series! The characters are dynamic and complex. The storyline is suspenseful and unpredictable. I can't wait for the next installment!!

Quite a follow up into this messed up land of broken toys. Lots of creepy moments and turn abouts for characters I thought likely to disappoint. Really enjoyed the twist in the plot in this second volume.

The adventures of a group of toys who enter into the Dark to save their Boy who was kidnapped by the Boogeyman continue in this book. The group has splintered. Max the bear is the leader of the animal tribe hiding in the jungle from the Boogeyman's army. The Jester is chasing after the Indian Princess, whom he loves and who was captured by Indians. Percy the pig is leading the rest of the group back out of the Dark since they have admitted defeat.
Max decides he still wants to find the Boy and defeat the Boogeyman. Old legends tell of a light that shines at all times (the Night Light), which would be an invaluable aid in fighting the Boogeyman. At the top of the mountain where the light is hidden is Story Land, where characters from the child's books (mostly fairy tales) live.
The Jester is mistaken for his twin, the Laughing Ghost. The Boy received two identical jack-in-the-boxes once but one was broken almost immediately and hidden in the closet, where he passed over into the Dark and became a marauding thorn in the side of the Boogeyman. The twins eventually meet but it isn't a happy family reunion.
The Boy, meanwhile, has escaped from his jail with the aid of another boy. They flee to the Indian Nation hoping that the Indian wise man will be able to tell them how to escape. Percy the pig also heads to the Indian Nation for just such information. Naturally, the Jester winds up there too hoping to recover his lost love.
The book does a great job expanding the story begun in the first volume. New, interesting places and characters are introduced and the plot develops nicely. The writing is great and the art is stellar. I can't wait for more.

Boogeyman vei pojan kadonneiden ja unohdettujen lelujen valtakuntaan ja pojan lelut lähtivät perään pelastamaan poikaa. Tarina jatkuu tässä tuplaniteessä. Narri tapaa katkeran kaksoisveljensä, Boogeyman punoo juoniaan ja hahmot kääntävät takkejaan. Uusia paikkoja ja uusia hahmoja tulee mukaan ja tarinan juonenkäänteet jaksavat yllättää samoin kuin kaunis seepianvärinen kuvitus. Jostain syystä narri on kasvanut mielestäni tämän sarjakuvaromaanisarjan suvereeniksi supersankariksi, hyvät tavat osaava, romanttinen narri muuttuu silmänräpäyksessä kirveitä heiluttavaksi tappelukoneeksi, jota on lähes mahdoton nujertaa. Mutta mitä tapahtui yhteisniteen lopussa? Järkytyin suuresti, kun tarina ei loppunutkaan tähän ja jatkoa ei ole edes vielä julkaistu! Arrrgh! Neljä tähteä huonosta yllätyksestä.

This fantastic series continues. Its beautiful sepia toned art perfectly conveys the hope and despair of the tale. As surprising and shocking at times as Martin's Game of the Thrones, this tale of broken toys, will have you feel truly invested in these complex characters. The real tragedy, we'll have to wait another year or two for the next chapter.

I really enjoyed the swashbuckling Jester and the poignant moments in the toy collectors story. This continues the journey of all the toys in search of their boy (and the story of what is happening with the boy) in the magical land. I'm disappointed to realize it will be some time before the next book will be available.

Even darker and more complicated than the original. I'm a little disappointed the story hasn't wrapped up yet - I thought this was the last volume. Can't wait for the conclusion.

I gave this book (Omnibus Two) the same rating as the first one, but I enjoyed this one a bit more. Can't wait for Three!
