3 OnLine Dating, Craig's List Searching Stars * * *

If you have been single during the last 20 years or so... you have probably experienced online dating. For some... it has been an adventure with happy outcomes... for others... not so much.

This book by Audrey Harte uses this as well as the city of Los Angeles as the backdrop for the first in her series. We are introduced to Annie... a regular 20 something gal who seemed to have horrible experiences with men. Her first real boyfriend was a wanna be actor... who moved in and lived off her for a while. He used her sweetness, taking advantage and not really being into her. After a terrible time with him, Anne focuses on work. She finally get's her head together to start to think about dating again. All of her friends encourage her to try the online thing and we get to experience it all with her.

Annie as a character is sweet enough and sexually liberated... she just seems to be a little naive and trusting in the romance department. We see how she is so wanting to love and be loved... she may become a little confused about how to go about finding a partner who is actually real.

This is a first book and it does have a cliffy... the good news is the next part is out to satisfy inquiring minds...

I have had the pleasure of reading Love in All the Wrong Places from the very beginning. Audrey is such a talented writer and if I didn't know any better, I would think she has been writing for years. But nope, this is her debut novel and it is awesome.

Love in All the Wrong Places centers around a young girl that is unlucky in love. Like most of us, we have met people in bars, at parties, etc. and it hardly ever works out. Now in this day and age, there are dating websites. Annie (the heroine) tries her luck with online dating but is that really the way to meet your soul mate?

Read Love in All the Wrong Places and take the journey with Annie. I can't wait for book two!

Love In All The Wrong Places by Audrey Harte is a story about a girl who is looking for love. She definitely goes about it in a crazy way and tries to find a guy through Craigslist (hahaha...yeah wasn’t too sure about that). Unfortunately sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find Mr. Right, and Annie has definitely kissed a ton of frogs. Wanting to put herself out there after being off the market for a while, Annie writes an add and gets some hits!! Meeting a couple awesome guys along the way Annie quickly gets swept off her feet by a deliciously hunky man. It turns into a hot romance with a couple bumps that she doesn’t see coming.

I thought this was a cute story. Definitely not something I’ve read before. Audrey came up with a really good concept. I mean online dating is pretty big and I’ve never read a book where the female lead has actually posted ads for a man on Craigslist. I loved that Annie was actively trying to find Mr. Right, although I must say, I was nervous with the place she decided to post her ads. I liked the way the story played out. I was definitely intrigued and wanted to keep turning that page to find out what was going to happen next.

Annie is a sweet girl. She definitely made me smile and I wanted to see her happy. She made me laugh and I shed a tear or two. She just wanted to be loved and have someone to come home to at night and I got that. What girl doesn’t want to be loved? And although I liked her there were a couple things that made me cringe and didn’t sit right with me. Her need to be loved was so strong that I felt like she made stupid choices. She gave the men too much power over her and allowed herself to be put into vulnerable situations. I wanted her to be more careful and a little more guarded with her heart. She moved on from one guy to the next far too quickly for my tastes, causing me to have a hard time really connecting with any of the male characters.

This was written in 3rd person POV which I loved. I liked Audrey's transitions and her writing. I wished that the ending was a little more. I felt a little disappointed by it. It felt really unresolved and abrupt. I kept thinking, “WHERE IS THE NEXT PAGE!!!!” ....lol. It definitely made me want to read the sequel though so I guess Audrey did it for a reason. Overall I’d give this 3 stars. I thought it was a great debut and I’m definitely into seeing where this goes. I liked the characters and the writing! It left me wanting more and that is always a good thing!

I really enjoyed this book!

This is the 1st book I have read from Audrey Harte.

I love her style of writing.

This story captured my heart.  I felt for Annie & I could relate to some of her dating dilemmas from dating and living in Los Angeles.   It's a tough town.  I lived there for 8 years so this book was relateable to me.

Finding romance is not easy & we get to experience it with Annie in her journey to find that one love we all want.

Good characters, story line flowed well, and I was not expecting that ending.  Yes you are left with a cliffy!

I just purchased the next book in the series because I need to know what Annie will do next.

So, it has taken me 2 days to really think about how I am going to write my review for this CRAZY MESSED UP dating journey that Annie, the main character, takes us on. Why did it take me 2 days?Well......this book was absolutely flipping CRAZY MESSED UP but in a VERY GOOD WAY. For me, the book started off a little slow and at times monotonous. I would say about 35% through the book is when all the CRAZY MESSED UP journey begins. CRAZY MESSED UP are my words that describes this journey of trying to find love online. Annie has a history of bad relationships so she turns to online dating and of all places, CRAZY MESSED UP Craigslist. Who goes there for dating???? Crazy right? I guess Annie went there because it is free! Yikes!! So, this is where the CRAZY MESSED UP story picks right up for me. She meets several men who she falls hard and fast for, but things also go wrong very fast. Poor Annie, so unlucky in love........It is hard trying to find "Mr. RIGHT".

This story really portrayed what it is like to be in the dating scene and trying to find the "RIGHT ONE". I am torn because I felt the author rushed through parts of the story just when things got juicy.....and then the book just freaking ENDS!!!!! OMG!!! CRAZY MESSED UP Cliff Hanger!!! I was really starting to enjoy the book and it just ends.....

Now, I will have to patiently wait for the release of the next book and I'm not a very patient girl..........I need to know where this story ends up immediately LOL and can't wait to read the sequel....

Congrats on your release Audrey Harte and thanks for allowing S&S to kick off your blog tour!!!

Annie is desperate to find love. She's tried the normal routes of dating but after being used and abused she gives online dating a try. She feels skeptical about paying for an online dating service so she decides to post her profile on Craigslist.
She gets multiple emails back but is hesitant and selective. Her first serious date is with Gabe. Theirs was a very sexually oriented relationship. Sizzling, swoon worthy! Hot! But it wasn't only about that, he was attentive and romantic , went out of his way to make her feel special and just when you thought that he truly was "the one"... he drops a bomb on her. As expected she's hurt and upset, heartbroken but this doesn't deter her from trying again. This time she puts herself in the Casual Encounters category of CL.

ea54f67169310a77357e5165e56a3de1

This is where we meet Nate, from the get go their emails back and forth are sexually charged. At first she imagined that this was really just a "friends with benefits" type deal. After all the online foreplay, Annie can't seem to get him in bed fast enough. Surprisingly Nate is hesitant and prefers them becoming friends first. He even goes as far as meeting her gay BFF slash neighbor - Alex. He too is attentive like Gabe, outgoing, sweet and friendly which she really didn't quite expect since she met him in the Casual Encounters. Just when she thought that this relationship was going somewhere... he just disappears out of her life right after a raunchy tryst in a public restroom. No explanation, no farewell, no goodbye kiss. Nothing. She didn't even get off. What a jerk, right?

KaraokeSingerPhoto17

Of course this is another slap in the face. What is it about her where she can't find a good guy? She's attractive and beautiful, has a job and is emotionally stable, why can't she find a man for her? Visually upset and sitting in her car on her lunch break after that episode an expected face shows up through her car window. She ends up going coffee with this guy - Casey. She decides she likes him enough to share all of her failed relationships with and just like that , they hit it off. They decide that maybe this friendship could evolve into something else but bad timing strikes. Casey has to leave town for awhile because of his job. As soon as he leaves...Nate unexpectedly reappears. Now what? Does she give him the time of day? Or does she ignore him and see where her and Casey's relationship could go?

My thoughts:

I loved the concept of this story. I thought it was raw and gritty. In this day and age, I agree that online dating has its appeal in finding your perfect someone but it has its many drawbacks as well . The anonymity is just too scary you will never know what dangerous things this could lead to.

I loved that Annie that confident and a go getter. The way she put herself out there was admirable. Never in a million years would I do such a thing. Although, I also thought that Annie was a bit shallow. She was more into the looks and chemistry part of a relationship more than anything. How could you decide by just one picture that a person isn't for you? She was definitely looking in the wrong place.

79193032024d5ffa8bbb76f3abda7d8f

And Craigslist really? After reading all that horrible stories about CL why would you even want to meet people over CL. To me, paying a website that is known to have good results in match making shows that you are much more serious in finding your someone. CL to me just screams "hook-up". So I don't know why she expected so much more than casual sex.

Besides that I thought for a first novel Ms. Harte did a wonderful job. The story ran smoothly and I thought was well written, the passion between Annie and Gabe was electrifying, I also loved that Annie was half Asian. In all the Indie books you've read have you ever read one about an Asian heroine? Never! I also loved the relationship she had with Alex and her besties.

The only thing unsatisfying about this book was the cliffhanger. Most of the series books have major cliffhangers this one I would rate as above average cliffy. I really don't think that this story was meant to be written that way. In my opinion, the author just had too much good material to fit into one book. Normally this would upset me and I would go on a tireless rant but I think I'm almost desensitized because I'm not as upset as I would be compared to my previous reviews. I also think it will be worth the wait in the end. A good thing is we don't have to wait too long for the next installment. I say, this is a must read. If you have serious doubts about the cliffhanger, I would suggest waiting to read this one until right before the 2nd installment drops.

AWESOME!!! Loved this debut book and it really was hard to believe it was her first book. Audrey is so talented and a natural at writing. The main character Annie is one of those that you want to slap one minute and then hug the next. I literally found myself yelling at my kindle "oh you are not going to..." and saying “aww he’s so sweet”. It was hot and steamy but just enough to be believable and that it could all happen to anyone and I really liked that. I can’t wait to see what happened next. Congratulations on a fantastic debut book.

Oh, Annie!

I cracked up at her text messages and emails to these guys on Craigslist, of all places. Haha. I truly loved this book and all its spunk, steam, and emotion. I could totally feel for Annie. She's a girl looking to be loved and the poor thing can't catch a break. And when she does, that darn Audrey Harte leaves us hanging ... in a good way of course. But, dang it, Audrey! I'm one impatient person and I want that sequel, like yesterday!

If you're looking for a young and flirty book wrapped up in humor and hotness, this is the book for you!

Congrats on a great debut novel. :D

Wow! Loved this story! Audrey Harte writes as this story as if you are sitting right next to one of your best girlfriends hearing what is new in her life. You feel this connection to the main character as if you have known her forever. I can't wait to start the sequel....right now!

To say that Annie Chang is unlucky in finding the right guy is a gross understatement. In fact she seems to attract all the wrong men like a magnet. After several failed relationships she attempts to seek out companionship on the internet. She doesn't really have much luck with this either... There are several attempts with men that fail quite miserably yet again and Annie is left wondering if she will ever find a man who appreciates and loves her and isn't a complete jerk!

When she isn't looking a guy sort of appears out of nowhere... Could he be the one? Well you'll need to read along to find out...

While reading this book I had to feel really badly for Annie. She really does have some bad relationships. Just when you think she is getting somewhere there is a slap in the face moment and it all blows up in her face. This poor girl... I really felt for her because I personally wouldn't want to be out there in the dating world in this day and age, there are so many creepy people. I did feel like Annie was trying to be someone she isn't in order to find a guy. She's a beautiful girl and a has a BIG heart. She just needs to look in the right places, what they are I have no idea but it appears that that internet for her doesn't work so well... There was a bit of a surprise at the ending and of course I cannot tell you what that is because it would totally ruin the story... But I can say that there is a second book and this kind of left us hanging not knowing what was going to happen with Annie... Did her mystery guy turn into everything she hoped for? Your guess is as good as mine on that one, because we have to wait till the next book to find out where this story goes...

It was a good read. It took me a bit to get into the characters but by the end I did really like Annie and truly felt bad for her and her path she had taken and her now confused state over what to do next... This story is fairly unique. I haven't come across anything sisimilar out there which is hard to do. The market has been saturated with a lot of stories that are similar so when you find a unique one it is truly refreshing!

Audrey is a great writer. The story was very well written and very clean. A lot of first time novels come out and aren't always cleanly edited, so BIG KUDOS to Audrey for putting out a great book for her first time... I'm interested to see what happens next. I felt the beginning of the book was a little slow moving, but once it gets going it moved pretty quickly. It could have used a little more angst and a little more depth to some of the scenes but overall it is a really nice quick read.

I give this one 4 stars and I am excited to read the next book to see where Annie's search leads her because I need answers...

After many different tries at dating and reinventing herself, Annie finally decides to post an ad in the personals section of Craigslist Los Angeles. She cannot believe that she is actually trying online dating. Annie receives many responses from a smorgasbord of men. Many of them are obscene and ridiculous in their responses and suggestions. Annie finally finds one that she agrees to meet at a bar for drinks. Could this be the man that she is looking for? Annie cannot believe her eyes, it is lust at first sight. She cannot wait to get Gabe home and in a vertical position.

Gabe is everything a girl could want; ten inch cock with piercings and lots of feel good fun. He really pulls out all the stops to wine, dine and woo her. Only he is not everything this girl needs and wants, he has an ex-girlfriend in the wings. Gabe was not only too good to be true; he really was just an illusion. Annie really had never expected to be thrown over by Gabe because his ex-girlfriend had come up pregnant and he decided to do the right thing. She just needed time to grieve and get her head back on straight.

Annie decides to get back out there on the internet dating scene. She meets Nate and decides to give him a chance. When he disappears on her she is once again left feeling empty and alone. Do you see a pattern yet in the dating game? Annie is looking for love and acceptance but is she really looking for it in the right places? What can you say when you put your personal ad in a place called Casual Encounters?

Hero –Mark, Gabe, Nate, Casey: 3.5 stars
Heroine –Annie Chang: 3.5 stars
Steam: 3.5 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes! If you have ever asked the question is internet dating a good option to find happily ever after this book is for you! It really shows all the ups and downs of that kind of dating and how confusing dating can be.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! This author writes about everyday situations with a refreshing new twist.

Annie is definitely my type of girl. She’s smart, multi-talented, athletic, independent, witty, and beautiful. She gives her all, especially to those she cares about. However, there is one major dilemma. Annie has a huge problem when it comes to finding love in all the wrong places. Hence the title... Hehe!

After several failed relationships, Annie decides to place an ad on Craigslist in hopes of finding Mr. Right. I do not want to spoil the story by saying who she meets, what happens, if she finds love, etc. because that’s basically what the novel is about. But if I were to choose a song to best describe Annie and the whole online dating situation, I would pick.... Clumsy by Fergie.

I wanted to say that I didn’t like Annie overall when I was done reading. Thoughts going through my head after finishing included: Who does that with a guy she just met online? Is she really going to take him back? And seriously, why did she forgive him? But honestly, I couldn't. I feel that she is realistic as anyone in everyday life. She is young. She is looking for a good time. She wants to be loved, and so she takes action herself in hopes of finding the one. Although she doesn't make the wisest decisions, I have to forgive her. After all, at some point in life we all do stupid things for the sake of love, right? So yeah… I like Annie! It was a delight watching her live, love, and learn.

Overall, I definitely would recommend this book to those looking for a nice short read. This is Aubrey Harte’s debut novel, and I must say I am highly impressed. The story doesn’t have the drama, angst, or smut that I usually crave for. And there were some parts in the novel that I thought were dull. But nonetheless, I enjoyed it. It was entertaining enough to make me not let go of my Kindle. I look forward to reading Ms. Harte’s All The Right Things as well as all her future work.

Annie is a 25 year old single woman living in LA. After experiencing bad relationship after bad relationship, she decides to try her hand at online dating. Not just any online dating though.....she doesn't want to pay for it, so she uses Craigslist.

I won't give the story away by describing what happens, but Love in all the Wrong Places walks us through Annie's experiences with Craigslist dating.

I find online dating fascinating, so the premise was very interesting to me. We saw the ads that were places, emails and text messages, which I enjoyed.

Annie has a tough time at love, but she really wants to be loved. At 19, she was used by her boyfriend for free rent, food, etc. Whenever Annie tried to have sex with him, he would turn her down and say things to make her feel bad about herself. It seemed like she was kind of overcompensating for feeling so sexually unattractive for so long. At the same time, she was easy to like. I mentally compared her to some of my single friends that I'm always urging to just enjoy your 20's and not worry about finding Mr. Right.

It was easy to feel Annie's pain as she went on her various dates. I couldn't help myself thinking 'Maybe this guy will be the one' as she got to know them better.

A bonus was Alex, Annie's gay BFF that always called her on her shit. He's always there for her and cheers her up when she needs it. I love Alex and want a real life Alex in my life.

Oh.....I should also admit the icing in the cake. Annie got to live one of my fantasies in the story.....being with a pierced guy. Yep, you heard me. Now, I don't think you really need any further enticing to read this, do you?!?!!

Annie, oh, Annie. She is a young woman desperate to love and be loved. So desperate that she decides to try dating online. And chooses to use Craigslist to find love. You know that can’t lead to anything good! Annie has spunk and a fun attitude. I was a little turned off by her use of marijuana…it didn’t add to the story for me all that much. Annie has had a rough go of it with men though and seems to truly want to find ‘the one’. I loved the use of emails and text messages between her and the men she met. They were fun and sexy and seemed spot on with what you might expect from meeting someone online. Audrey Harte added some steamy without being over the top.

One of the first things I noticed that was definitely different for me with Love in All the Wrong Places was to have the story told from a third person point of view. So often lately, the books I’ve read are all in first person, oftentimes in with multiple POVs. Even though that was different, I felt like I was still able to get caught up in the story as if I was in Annie’s head and hearing her POV. I was a bit frustrated with the ending as it seemed to just leave me hanging without knowing if there was going to be a sequel. It felt a bit unfinished and unresolved.

Update: After posting our review, we learned that All The Right Things, a sequel, to Love In All the Wrong Places, is coming later in 2013.

Love in All the Wrong Places
By Audrey Harte

Rating:
Four and a half Stars

Summary:
Annie Chang is in her mid 20's and has lived in LA all her life. After a series of failed relationships, she's beginning to feel like she will never meet Mr. Right. But seeing one of her longtime BFF's find love on the Internet, she decides to give online dating a try.
After finally finding an amazing guy who sweeps her off her feet, will he prove to be everything she could have wished for and more or is he to good to be true..

My Thoughts:
This book was very good. A really fun quick read. I think it was so easy to relate to because it was so "real". It gave you truth. Sometimes life and love aren't all roses and happily ever afters. It takes you through Annie's journey to find love. Unfortunately so far she is looking in all the wrong places...or is she?
Annie was fun and easy to like. She has quick wit and good looks, but not a "I think I'm bett than you" attitude. You would think the men would be lining up for her, but she hasn't had my luck with men. So she decides to try some online dating. She finally comes across a few guys that seem like they could be ok. You are taken through her ups and downs easily and always wanting more. The ending of the book has me begging for the second book. I have a few ideas about what might come next for Annie. Over all this was very good.

I absolutely loved the debut novel from Audrey Harte. This book is a book about all the bad things that can and do go wrong in the world of online dating. It’s an easy light hearted read that I seriously enjoyed. The story revolves around Annie and her quest to find love. The story starts out with her in an actual relationship that starts like most but quickly learns that it was not meant to be. She wants to find happiness and love but she looks in the wrong places. She decides to try online dating as a friend has had success with it but she doesn’t want to pay for online services so she hits up the next best thing, Craig’s List! The author really takes us through the ins and outs of the online dating and its good times and it’s inevitable horrors and it’s at times quite comical! If anyone is unlucky in love it would be poor Annie! I think if she didn’t have bad luck she would have no luck at all! She is a young up and coming professional in a law office and has a great support system of friends. Her neighbor Alex is a colorful and adds even more humor to the story and is always there for her to lean on. I was rooting for Annie to find someone so she would have her happily ever after! I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a light hearted romance! I cannot wait to see what else the author has in store for us!

Annie has had terrible luck in the love department, from the high school boyfriend who dumped her when he left for college to the non-working actor boyfriend who cheated on her. All the horrible past experience's had Annie wondering if she would ever find the right person. So Annie decided to follow the advice of her friend and give online dating a chance.

She made several profiles on craiglist, and waited for the responses to start pouring in. After combing through all the creepers and weirdos, Annie thinks she may have finally found Mr. Right. Does Annie end up finding true love? Or does she continue to be unlucky in love?

Audrey Harte did a great job at balancing comedy and romance in her debut novel. This book had me laughing out loud, screaming at my kindle and falling in love with all the characters.

I loved how Audrey Harte explored the positive and negatives of online dating. Annie was very relatable because we all have either tried online dating or have known someone who has, and have heard the horror stories that go along with it. This book has just enough spice to get your blood flowing and just enough adventure to keep you intrigued until the very end.

This book ends with a cliffhanger, and I am eagerly waiting to find out what happens to Annie. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun, fast read.

Annie was very relatable because we all have either tried online dating or have known someone who has, and have heard the horror stories that go along with it. It provides just enough spice to get your blood flowing and to keep you intrigued until the very end. This book ends with a cliffhanger, and I am eagerly waiting to find out what happens to Annie.

Annie just wants to find someone who will love her. She's had some really bad experiences dating. When we first meet Annie I just wanted to dive in and pull her aside. She gives so much of herself in a relationship, but the guys she had been dating didn't give her anything in return. I could relate to her and her struggles to find a decent guy.

Annie is smart, loves to cook and sing, athletic, and does some modeling. She can be impulsive and makes some bad decisions regarding the men she dates. She finally decides to try online dating. She writes a few different ads on Craigslist in an attempt to find someone who was genuinely interested in dating and wasn't creepy.

She meets Gabe, Nate, and Casey. Gabe seems like a great match. He's sexy, tall, and tattooed. They have great chemistry together, but is he too good to be true? Nate seems like a gentleman and they have some interests in common. Annie and Nate get along really well, but is he really looking for the same thing she is? Casey is charming, a great listener, and a dancer. He's different from Gabe and Nate and takes a very different approach.

I loved Alex!! Alex is her neighbor and BFF. He supports, encourages, and at times cautions her.

Annie has highs and lows throughout this online dating process. I'm looking forward to the next book to see if Annie does find love.

Honestly, I just couldn’t get into this book. I guess it wasn’t for me. The main character, Annie seemed to me to lack any depth. She was a 20-something year old young woman working at a ho-hum job while looking for someone to share her life with. Now, that’s not all that uncommon for real life these days.

I tried, but I didn’t find anything special or unique about her. Annie was sweet and giving, almost too giving to a fault. To me, she came off as rather desperate. I couldn’t connect with her in any way. And the men, well, they marched in and out of her life rather quickly. And well, hey, she gave it up rather quickly if you know what I mean.

I wasn’t a fan of the writing style either. It was mostly narrative. It presented as a story in almost textbook-like fashion that I would later be quizzed on to test my comprehension. When I think about many of the other books I’ve read recently, for me, the writing just couldn’t compare. I wasn’t moved by the story, couldn’t connect with the characters, and honestly, I couldn’t wait to be finished so I could move on. If you’re looking for a book to read about a young woman’s sexual escapades, then it might work for you. It didn’t work for me.

This was a very enjoyable read and I would recommend this to a few of my friends.

From the first moment I stepped into the book I instantly could compare Annie (leading lady) with a friend of mine--looking for love in all the wrong places. She gives a 150 percent of herself to the guys she’s been with only to end up broken hearted when they don’t return it. So we meet her desperately longing for a great guy.

Within the first few pages I was grinning because everything the author, Audrey Harte, wrote and described with Annie in her online dating search is completely true-the crazy pictures and statues people put up.

Within the first couple of chapters I was determined to tell the main character, Annie, with my mind, what I thought she needed to do, but she didn’t listen to me and continued to write up ads on Craigslist. Good thing too, it isn’t long before she has some strong candidates. Gabe, Nate, Casey, and I’m throwing in Alex into the mix. Alex is a friend of hers and her neighbor.

Each man is different from the last, but all are promising candidates to say the least. Does Annie find true love and happiness? Or will online dating be another disappointment?

Great job Audrey! You’re first book was such a hit to me! I look forward to your next one.

Annie has been single over a year, and she finally decides to try to date again. So she looks at the personal's on Craigslist. after not finding anything she liked to respond to. Annie does her own add. Gets responses right off.
Annie Meets Gabe at a party and they have instant chemistry. Gabe has tons of bad boy hotness with tattoos and Even being in Realtor's investments he still finds time to look good and now try to date again.
The night they meet they drink a bunch dance their hearts out with each other. And then End up in bed. And Talk about wow. You could feel the Steam come off the page. Then Something changes and Gabe all the sudden Goes back to his ex. Then she meets Nate and he seems almost too good to be true. They get all steamy and date a couple times then they then all the sudden he disappears with out a word.
This book had Annie feeling all torn up,. What girl doesn't have trouble dating. Getting off on the right foot. The book offers fun, casual, and witty conversation. I am not a big cliff hanger person it ended Me wondering if She will be with Casey the Guy that works by her or Nate that ditched her but wants to explain!! What will she do... Give Casey a Chance? Or go back to guy that ditched her and left her unfulfilled!!

Audrey Harte's debut book was....AWESOME! All you long-time single ladies are so gonna relate to Annie.

Ever been swindled by bludger who totally mooched off your kind heartedness? Well Annie did. Ever hit the point in life where you are so over family and friends telling you you need to meet a nice guy and settle down? Annie did. Ever take a chance on internet dating? Annie did.

L.I.A.T.W.P is the journey of Annie, single gal hoping to meet a nice guy and have a good solid relationship. After being totally used by Mark, Annie's friends encourage her to give online dating a chance. Taking a leap of faith Annie puts herself out there - in cyberspace - and quickly connects with potential love interests.

I totally related to a lot of Annie's angst and hesitations. I also found myself connecting with her impulsive decisions and felt her humiliation and heartbreak. A story that many will relate to...my only frustration is Ms Harte didn't end the story and now I have to wait for the next book to find out what happens to Annie next!

Wow, what a cliff hanger! :) So I really enjoyed this cute story A LOT. It's not typical, which I liked. Most of the love stories I read, the girl claims to be "awkward, unattractive, anti-social, etc." Annie has guy issues, but overall, she is confident, knows she's beautiful, knows she's fit, knows how to flirt and be sexy, has her own apartment, etc. She's very mature, and that was a breath of fresh air. It was really nice getting a different perspective, and a lot of what happened in the book was entirely realistic and true to life for girls that age, which was also refreshing.

Also, the book was extremely well written!

The only thing I didn't like (and I can't even say it's anything the author could have changed/more so a personal preference), but I really don't like reading books in third person. I like it coming directly from the perspective of the main character because I feel more attached to the character. For being in third person, I still felt like I got to know Annie and understood her, but I would have liked to feel a little more attached to her.

Overall, it was great, and I can't wait for the sequel!!! :)

I really enjoyed reading this story of a young girl trying to find someone to reciprocate the love and affection she gives. Failed relationship after failed relationship, Annie looks to the internet in hopes of finding love. Of course she turns to Craigslist wanting to check it out and see what it's all about. After a few failed attempts and one heart shattering experience, Annie is lost. Will she find she is looking for or is she destined to be alone?

Audrey Harte hit this one out of the park! Written like she's been doing this for years, Audrey transported me to the valley, where Annie's story unfolds. Being able to visualize Santa Monica Pier and hear the music in Vanguard, I got sucked into the reality of being Annie's constant shadow. Online dating can be a good thing or a bad thing and I am so happy that someone has written about it and made it entertaining.

Looking in All the Wrong Places is a reality in it's own and I was left hanging to see what happens next to Annie. So I was ecstatic when I saw that there will be a book 2 released later this year.

Very good book! Audrey Harte as a lovely, smooth writing style that flows and reads easily. Her main character, Annie, feels real and typical of her age. Annie is smart and capable, but not quite sure where she is headed yet. She does know she is lonely and hoping to find Mr. Right. Her experiences with dating and online dating will probably ring true for a great many of us readers to some extent. Although we may not have had all of the experiences she did, I bet many of us have had at least one of them. The story is cute and funny at times while being more on the hot and steamy side at other times. It is a great mix and a wonderful way to remember some of the silly dating things we have each experienced-especially if we were dating in the last 20 or so years. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see a few more twists and turns in the story, but I have a feeling a bit more of that is to come in the rest of the series now that we have all of the background set in place.

I just finished reading Love in all the wrong places #1 by Audrey Harte. It is about Annie Chang a twenty something who is trying to get back in the dating pool. She decides to go online to see what is out there. In this day and age really where else are you supposed to go to find dates? So Annie go on Craig's List. She ends up meeting a few guys there. She has a great friend/neighbor named Alex who is her sounding board. Annie seems to want to find a guy. Sometimes for a boyfriend, sometimes she thinks she just wants to "have fun". I think this is a great book. You feel for Annie. I thought it was just a regular romance novel. Boy was I wrong. There is spice to this book. Annie might work at a law firm during the day, but she has a wild side to her. I finished this book wanting MORE! I can't wait until the sequel comes out in Fall 2013. Audrey Harte is a funny, smart, writer. I laughed, I yelled at Annie, I wanted to be her best friend. I give this book Five Stars!!!

Audrey Harte hit it out of the park on her debut novel !!! I loved this book because I have never read a story line quite like it a 20's something year old female in California looking for love on the internet lol I absoulutely loved it . As if looking for love in LA isnt hard enough lets look for love on the internet and find even more shenanigans to deal with. I am not at all against online dating because I have done it myself. However you just feel for poor little Annie just when you think she has got it right theres always something going on with these guys. Because I was born and raised in culver city I could sympathize with what Annie encounters while dating a bunch of Tom Foolery. Definitely pick up this book and give it a try you have never really read a story line quite like this!!
