This is Sloan and Ryder's story. We saw the slow burn of their attraction in the previous 2 books in this series and now we find out more about Ryder's addiction struggles as well as Sloan's inexplicable attraction to him. This book is not full of sex which was nice actually. It was more a case of Ryder getting himself into a position to move forward with Sloan and be the person she deserved. I loved their witty banter and the start of the book an the situation they find themselves in is just brilliant. If I'm honest, it dragged a little at times but never the less I still found it a great read and a great addition to the series.

Okay, so I thought I would really like Sloane and Ryders novel, but in the end it was just okay for me. Sadly. They both had issues to get past and it basically took the whole book to get through them. I was expecting more sexy scenes with the amount of sexual tension between these two in Rorys book.

Overall it was okay. I'm actually kinda glad that there is only 1 more book left in this series since I haven't loved it as much as I wanted to.

Schade....

This book had everthing going for it. Strong characters with interesting pasts and great chemistry between them but it didn't 't live up to my full expectations. Some of the things that annoyed me were taking the cute names that Lucah and Rory called each other like Mr Blythe to R. Blythe for Ryder. It didn't make sense to me. There was no reason for them to have those names like Lucha and Rory who were hiding their relationship. I also never made a connection with Ryder's addiction. There was no lead up to his overdose, it just happened so I couldn't understand why he did it. Then when he came home from rehab, it was like he went away for a holiday not to get help for a addiction. There should have been more of a back story with his struggles with drugs so as to relate to the character. Otherwise I did like Ryder and Sloanes story but it could have been much more than it was.
