In this colorful fully-illustrated beginner reader, Anakin is supposed to wait for Qui-Gon outside the Jedi Temple. But Anakin ihates /iwaiting! And when he and Jar Jar find a lost little boy, Anakin knows he must help him. He wants to be brave and good, just like a Jedi Knight!br
This was a fun little misadventure for Anakin and Jar Jar. Anakin's impatience while waiting for Qui-Gon is spot-on for the kid. Who could blame Anakin for missing his mother? Going off alone on a strange planet was not the smartest thing Anakin could have done. It's a good thing that Jar Jar was looking out for him and followed him. But who left Jar Jar alone? Of course, they get lost. But it was sweet of them to help the little boy Finn. I wonder what caused the nanny droid to glitch. I'm sure that Finn's mother was grateful, and I'm glad that she helped them get transport back to the Temple. Qui-Gon was very lenient with both of them, even if Anakin did the right thing by helping Finn get home to his mother and fixing his nanny droid. It's honestly no wonder that Anakin's thoughts were on his mother by the time he was being tested by the Jedi Council.
I can't believe I had such a taste for reading Star Wars at such a young age. It's written very VERY simply and has the same motherly longing that the Terry Bison Boba Fett book has. The illustrations are extremely nostalgic too.

At last a little more originality rather than simply rehashing The Phantom Menace storyline as so many others have done. The story is spot on and appropriate for its chosen readers and has some pretty vivid artwork as well.
