Spike is ready for the responsibility of being a pet-owner! However, he might be getting more than he bargained for when a delivery of Sea Beasts ('just add water!') arrives at his door. Spike's unusual training methods will result in some surprises for everyone's favorite baby dragon!
This one was cute. The storyline was original, and the artwork was much better than previous editions (excluding the gorgeous artwork in the CMC micro comic). There is really nothing wrong with the storyline, characterization, or artwork. The reason I gave it such a low rating is simple: this comic simply wasn't my cup of tea. It's cute, just not worthy of staying in my bookcase. If I don't love a book, I don't keep that book. I don't love this one, so I'll be giving it a new, better home with the rest of the comics I dislike.
Poor Spike, the writers in the show don't give him enough of a good storyline and every time he does make character growth its non existent in another episode. The story was kinda boring and ho hum. It reminded me of the episode with Pee Wee when he took Pee Wee and raised him. It left nothing new. So sad
This comic reminded me of the Phineas and Ferb episode where they make gigantic sea monkeys.
Spike gets a bunch of "sea beasts" and uses a magic growth formula on them. A side effect of this potion is that they being to multiply and get smarter, causing some problems for Spike.
