It's amazing that looking on Amazon this book "rates" so high. And yet on Goodreads, thank heaven (no pun intended)we have a more critical assessment.
This story is so full of holes and the boy's matching of his father's belief it isn't even funny. Rather than reinvent the wheel, read any of the 400 one star ratings on Amazon ... those are interesting and detailed. And really, I just don't get the hype with this terrible piece of writing unless you want to consider it interesting fiction.

Like George Burns said, "Everybody wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die."

I do believe in God and in heaven, with that being said I have a hard time reading or hearing about people who claim they have died and gone to heaven. I would've given it only one star but it is an easy read and I think the author is a good man with good intentions to get people to believe. Like I said before I am skeptical and this book didn't make me the opposite. If anything it made me more skeptical of people who claimed to have died or almost die and then miraculously are alive.

This book was okay, something short to read quickly. The whole time it felt fake and I personally didn't like it.

Heaven is for Real...on the Road to New Life

I enjoyed/learning more about repentance. This book is very educational, however, I had problems following it. I will definitely have to go back and reread. The way it was written was somewhat difficult to grasp what was being said
