About the author

Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!

I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.

Ten Things to know about me:

1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)

2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.

3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.

4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.

5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.

6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.

7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.

8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)

9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.

10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

Change My Heart reveals Devin and Rebecca’s childhood love story as they work out their current feelings since both have changed from when they were teens. Rebecca tries to change Devin’s mind about his vendetta plan for the town. They continue to face grave danger and with help from friends Click, Jordan, Nick, and Luke they try to discover who really killed the high school football star in the unsolved murder case.
You can read each story in the Hearts of Clover series as a stand alone, but reading the entire series is a must to really get to know all the characters in depth. You won't want to stop after just one.

Change My Heart by Danielle Stewart is a really good read. I hate that it is cliffy, but I expected it knowing there are two more books in the series. These characters are well developed and invested in the plot. I love the addition of Click and will definitely read more.

Half My Heart is by Danielle Stewart. It is two novellas, Half My heart and Change My Heart and can come in one book Hearts of Clover. It is part of the Clover series. It is a really good book.
Devin Sutton was in the middle of selling his company when he decided to make a trip to Clover, North Carolina to finish some business. His partner, Luke, is beside himself but agrees to put the negotiations off until after Christmas. Devin drives himself from New York City to Clover and remembers his past and why he didn’t want to ever come back to Clover and why he wants to destroy it.
At the start of his senior year in high school, his father was moved to an army base near Clover. They thought it would be a nice little town to finish growing up in. However, they basically ignored Devin when any decisions were made. He wanted to stay and finish high school in his previous town. Instead he finds himself in a difficult situation. He could have had it worse, the students could have noticed him but they overlooked him. That is, all but Rebecca Farrus. She was a cheerleader and everyone associated her with ignorance; but she was smart. She was dating the football star, Brent Hoyte, son of the sheriff. She was his trophy. Rebecca and Devin are partnered in science class and they got to know each other a little. She actually took him home to see her paintings. She showed no one her work. Brent came over while he was there and to save Rebecca some anguish, he snuck out. However, Brent found his boots and came after him. That night, as Rebecca and Devin were leaving town, Brent found them at Devin’s house and provoked a fight in which Devin’s arm was broken. The sheriff who came upon this, almost killed Devin and may have except a doctor intervened. The doctor saw Rebecca home and Devin went to bed in an empty house, his parents were gone again. He was awakened by police officers who arrested him for the murder of Brent Hoyte. He was rushed through trial and sentenced to life in prison. At nineteen, he was in prison for life. He stayed sane in prison partly due to Rebecca’s letters which at the time he didn’t know they were all lies- life as she wanted it to be. A group looked into his case and he was proven innocent and released after ten years. He went on to make his way in the world without Clover and Rebecca.
Now he has returned with an offer to the town that they can’t refuse. The sheriff doesn’t want it to go through because he would lose his job and his house because Devin told him he would work around his house but not buy it. He has run into Rebecca and found out her letters were a lie; but his feelings for her and hers for him were still there. She is against him putting in a dump here because it would ruin the town she loves. What will Devin do? Will he still be the hardnosed businessman or what? Will he stay alive with Hoyle after him? Will he lose Rebecca?

Danielle takes right into the story where Book 1 stops. We have Devin the man with Revenge on his mind and his lost love on his heart. Then there is Rebecca, a woman who has been verbally abused by her father , physically abused by her drug addict husband and in love with her ex-lover Devin. We move on to Click, the marine who is total package when it comes to a Marine and has suddenly found himself wanting a woman he just met. And there is Jordan, the snob and no nonsense business executive that finds out that there are people who will do anything to save their beloved town of Clover. We meet Nick the Marshall who is a fine upstanding citizen and then there is Sheriff Hoyle, who really is the strong hand of the law. You take these characters and st them in the quiet little town of Clover where everyone knows you and the sheriff does what he wants even if it is outside the law and you have the makings for an great book. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading Book 3, "All My Heart" coming in 2014. So grab a copy for yourself and gift one to a friend because you will not be disappointed .

Change My Heart is book #2 in Danielle Stewart’s Clover series and picks up where Book #1, Half My Heart ends. I was really worried that I would have a hard time moving on from the author’s Piper Anderson Series but I have to admit that I’ve not only fallen for a whole new set of characters but also a whole darn town.

I loved how the author made Clover, the town where the story takes place, come to life and take on a role as a character. I found myself caring about what happens to it and wanting a happily ever after for the town just as much as the characters.

Change My Heart gives us a deeper look into the past. We find out more about Devin and Rebecca’s history and how he ended up in prison. We discover how the people in Clover have suffered because of the Sheriff and we get to learn more about Click and several other characters that appear in the story. Rebecca wonders, “How long is too long to wait for a man?” Devin is deciding if he should “seek the revenge he has been planning for years or hang on to the girl?” The Sheriff is willing to do whatever is necessary to remain in power and the town is willing to risk it all in order to change.

This is a story with several blooming romances, mystery, suspense, and character growth. Everything is on the brink of change and there is a fine line between the future and the past in this fantastic story from Danielle Stewart. I am really looking forward to Book #3! Can’t wait to find out what is going to happen with all these fantastic characters and the town of Clover.

This book is INCREDIBLE and AMAZING! A continuation from "Half My Heart" in the Hot, Sexy & Bad: A Holiday Novella Collection.

Can 2 damaged/tainted souls, each carrying their own burdens from their past in Clover, NC, fight through what they each believe is right in order to have a future together?

Will the evil small town sheriff and his cronies who've basically kept Clover hostage for years be stopped?

Is the need for revenge so strong that nothing can stop the wheels from turning once set in motion?

Can a woman fighting in a man's world meet what's expected of her?

Will the military man wanting to do right be able to fit back in society after a brutal tour overseas?

To find out, you must read! This was a page turner, can't put me down, riveting book with action, mystery, suspense and romance! There was NO predicting what was going to happen next.

I fell in love once again with Danielle's characters and storyline. This author writes brilliantly and has a way of making you feel like you are actually there and what's unfolding is real.

My gosh I so love Devin, Luke, Rebecca, beautiful little Adeline, Nick, Click and Jordan. I can't wait for book 3 to continue their journey with them!!

There is a line in this story that stays constantly in my mind. Absolutely love it! "As always, you have all my love and half my heart. " MELT MELT MELT!!

Danielle EVERY book you've written I have absolutely loved. You never disappoint this fan and you always deliver an outstanding piece of work!

Loved this new Clover series!
Starts where Half a Heart leaves us at the mountain cabin where they celebrated Christmas and Devin takes off for his town meeting in Clover. Jordan shows up who is the one they have to convince they no longer want a trash dump in Clover but a recycle maybe in its place. Main thing is to get Hoyle the Sheriff stripped of his title and authority. There is allot of stranger danger since Hoyle doesnt goes down quietly. Nick who grew up in Clover is a Marshal and is now in charge of Clover and it's safety until Jordan can get more Security in place. There is so many what if's and how's. Rebecca isn't sure of Devin and how sincere he really is in changing from destroying Clover to saving Clover. She does know that he is trying to keep her and Adeline save however. Adeline worships Debin as she calls him, and he is smitten with the kid as well. It's a real page turner and laugh out loud
as well. You will soon come to love these characters Click, Nick, Jordan, Luke and Jeannie and a few others.

Danielle has a wonderful way of developing strong characters which leads to great books. When reading Change My Heart, one is caught up in a love story, the warmth of a small town, and power hungry individuals. As I read, I experienced every emotion in my being. Danielle Stewart is fun to read because of her ability to draw you into the book quickly. It has been a delight to read her books as soon as they are published and see how her abilities have deepened. She is headed for even greater successes.

What a great book written from all characters point of views. I can't wait for the next book to see how the rest of the storyline plays out. I loved the first book and this one left me even more curious about the towns hidden secrets.. How can two people that are so haunted by their past work through it? How can a whole town get past all the years of a corrupt local police and ruining many of their lives for failure to comply with their demands. You'll need to read the first book to really understand this one but it's worth.

man did not do my research on this series, I got sucked in by a Christmas collection and went straight to book two not realizing it has more to come and the abrupt endings are not fun. I am all for series but can I have e some semblance of an ending. even fifty shades the ending sucks but you know it's and ending. it leaves you in a place where you know there is more but if there isn't then the book has an ending.

Great dramatic and suspense filled romance novella. I like Devin because he is real and he completely owns his imperfections. He actually has good reason to feel the way he does and do the things that he does. Being wrongly accused of murder and imprisoned for almost a decade would have made a lesser man worse.
His undying love for Rebecca is now the test. She is the only thing standing in the way of his revenge on whoever caused his imprisonment.
I can't wait for book 3 to find out more.

I loved Devin and Rebecca in HALF MY HEART and was so excited to continue with their story. Not only did we get to learn more about their past, but I think I fell even more in love with Devin in this book. I also really like Jordan and Click's relationship and can't wait to read more about them as well. I immediately downloaded book 3 and can't wait to read it!
