Assignment: Royal Rescue is the third book in the Fangs Vampire Spy series and is another fast-paced, entertaining read for kids. It's also my favourite Fangs book so far! Fangs Enigma, Puppy Brown and all my favourite characters are back, accompanied by a few new faces set on causing the most trouble they can. Nothing is ever easy for Fangs!

This time the case has a bit of a royal theme: Fangs and Puppy are assigned to protect Princess Tiara, on orders of the Queen of England, and also stop the Jade Panther, an elusive jewel thief. Their case takes them all over the world as usual, and gets them into many scrapes and close shaves. Of course, with the help of Cube (head of MP1's technical division), things aren't quite as bad as they could have been!

This series is great fun for all the family, whatever the age. It's gloriously illustrated by Cartoon Saloon (the people responsible for illustrating the Scream Street series), and is a cracking adventure series that is heavily influenced by the one and only James Bond. I have book 4, Target: Nobody, to read, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what new danger is afoot!
