3.5* fly high STARS!!
Almost half of the survivors finished "courage race". They still need to face the next game. It's team vs team, no matter how many people has left in the team. The winner is the team who managed to knock the opposing team's pole within two minutes. The lose team will be wiped out.
Oh man... this round turns out to be savage battlefield. Everyone became brutal in a second. No one wants to die, right? I really didn't predict Shun's plan in the end. Too optimistic. Hmph. Anyway, I'm intrigued with the otaku POV even more. He's with the eccentric old man who seems to know about Kamimaru. Well, can't wait to read season II. Sayonara!

El concepto es super interesante, lo admito, me encantan las historias que tienen como tema principal la sobrevivencia porque sin duda me causa admiración a la gente que lucha con tantas ganas por vivir, yo me hubiese hecho bolita en el segundo uno.
En el inicio el manga me recordó de forma superficial Battle Royale, una batalla a muerte que se desarrolla en clases, colegios, distritos y diferentes lugares, solo un guiño que luego cambia, en este caso los personajes se enfrentan a juegos letales cuyo propósito final no saben, y mi tema es que hasta este quinto tomo no tenemos ni la más mínima idea de qué está sucediendo.
¿Entonces qué es esto? ¿Una precuela, una base, qué? Luego vienen 21 tomos que supongo que funcionan como segundo arco, pero no creo ser capaz de seguir leyendo porque me perturba demasiado ver tan gráficamente la cosificación de menores de edad. Son guiños, a lo mejor el autor y su público lo consideran bromas morbosas y ya, pero sin ser del todo explícitas o gráficas me incomodan y no me permiten disfrutar del resto, y sin duda no me inducen ganas de querer embarcarme en la lectura de veintitantos tomos extras para saber que está sucediendo.
Así que fue divertido, algo así, pero hasta aquí llegué con esta historia.

I saw that there was a "sequel" called As the Gods Will 2 but those reading should take note it's more like the rest of the story, this concludes the opening act of it but will not give you any answers. Last chapter sets up a lot of outrageous cliffhangers for the rest of the story and has me hooked to jump on the sequel.

These past two volumes honestly just read like (really) bad fanfiction, it should have ended on the third volume, I really can’t even describe how messy and awful the writing and plot were.
The great thing about horror and similar genres is that you don’t have to have an explanation for everything, not having one actually improves the experience and overall ambience of the story, and it’s much better than having a nonsensical villain who doesn’t add anything to the overall story. Half the plot lines don’t lead anywhere and while the first volumes had children’s games inspired challenges, these two have an unrelated footrace and pole (?) that drag on, are very repetitive and quite boring. There are way too many characters (or background people) so it just gets crowded and we don’t even see what happens to most of them, so they may as well not have been included.
All of these issues could have been fixed, hear me out, let’s say that after the luck game the survivors were divided into two teams (let’s say more people survived the tug of war). After this, we skip straight to the pole game (maybe change it to something similar to capture the flag to keep the theme of the challenges consistent) and here is where the organizer of the games is revealed. This is where, shun in order to try and save everyone, and Amaya wanting to beat a god, throw the explosives at him. Then the story ends as it did in volume 3, maybe leaving questions as to whether or not it’s really over. This would resolve the plot in a more consistent way, rather than starting a half made arc that feels like filler and ends the story in the middle.
In conclusion, don’t read it, just save your time and mental well-being.

Ich weiß nicht so recht, was ich vom Ende halten soll. Muss ich ehrlich zugeben. Die Reihe bringt mich allgemein etwas ins Grübeln. Der Start war so toll und genial und hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war einfach alles dabei. Spannung, Drama, Action und verrückte Spiele, die ein wenig an “Alice in Borderland” erinnerten. Doch dann lies es immer mehr nach und obwohl mir der letzte Band von den Charakteren und der Story ansich wieder mehr zugesagt hat, war es doch etwas eigen. Es bleiben einige Fragen offen und für mich erschließt sich am Ende eigentlich nicht wirklich der Sinn des ganzen Konstrukts.
Aber vielleicht geht es dem ein oder anderen besser damit, ich muss sagen, dass “As a god will” wirklich toll gestartet hat, wenn nicht sogar mega gestartet hat und aber je weiter die Geschichte geschritten ist, desto weniger konnte sie mich überzeugen. Einzig Shun war durchwegs mein Highlight. Er hat mich von Anfang bis Ende überzeugt! Der Rest eher weniger….

Bueno, la serie se lee rapido, no es complicada de entender, las pruebas que tienen que enfrentar los personajes son relativamente fáciles (aunque mortales), pero que carajos fue este final? O sea, si, entiendo que hay continuación y tal, pero mira, Tokyo Ghoul tuvo mejor final de la primera parte que esto, hasta el final de la primera parte de Chainsaw man es mejor. Deja muchísimas cosas abiertas y sin respuesta, lo cual es demasiado frustrante, la verdad. Pasamos por 5 tomos y no entiendo el por qué de todo lo que pasó, bacano ver gente muriéndose en cada tomo, me reí, estuvo entretenido, pero de verdad que no entendí el propósito de nada. Leeré la secuela a ver si responde cosas, pero esta primera parte es un tanto decepcionante.

La fin d'une partie des jeux. A part les courses qui continuent on change de jeu et enfin le héros peut essayer de briser les règles et essayer de tuer un Dieu. Pendant ce temps deux hommes enquêtent sur l'origine de ce dieu. Ca reste très simple au niveau de l'histoire et ça puise dans tous les travers, pulsions et bassesses de l'humanité. Je vais m'arrêter là pour cette histoire qui a un second cycle avec beaucoup plus de bouquins.

Historia en general (5 tomos): 4⭐
Me re gustó, hace mucho no encontraba un manga que me atrapara. Terminó muy abierto, eso una pena, pero hay una segunda serie, así que imagino que varias cosas se deben cerrar ahí.
Lo que me gustó es que el objetivo del juego no es eliminarse entre ellos, sino pasar las pruebas en las que muchos mueren. Pero que ellos no sean los perpetradores hace que puedas tenerles empatía. Hay algo más grande que ellos que les caga la vida.

La corsa verso la salvezza si rivela tutt'altro che semplice. Misteri che avrebbero potuto essere svelati in parte probabilmente verranno rivelati nella seconda serie. Tutti contro tutti per un finale esplosivo.

Vaya conclusión... He quedado completamente en shock con ese final.
¡Me encanta! Pero... ¡MORIRÉ A LA ESPERA DE LA CONTINUACIÓN! porque sí, lo que pasó en este tomo es el inicio de una próxima historia más interesante y que no tiene nada que ver con los juegos. Me encantó mucho.

Demasiados temas que intenta tratar, ninguno termina por cerrar, quiere ser profundo pero termina siendo un charco. Aquí hay tripas y monas chinas y pensamientos disque profundos, pero la verdad parece historia de niño edgy.

Acaba justo en lo mejor. Esto es una primera parte de la historia y no se resuelve nada. Seguimos sin saber quién es Kamimaro ni tampoco por qué se ha dado todos esos juegos macabros. El final te deja con la miel en los labios. Eso sí, esperaba mucho más de la serie y del tercer tomo a este la trama, en mi opinión, flojea y se mete demasiada paja para mantener el misterio que seguimos sin resolver. Toca esperar para leer la continuación.

The final volume of this series sees Shun and the rest of the survivors battling it out in a new series of trials. All the survivors are put into teams according to their grade level. As the #'s are dwindling down, Shun and the other 1st years are finally, yet again, put to the test.
This last game seems to have put Shun and his team in quite the predicament. Thinking they have found a loophole in the game, both Shun and Takeru seize an opportunity to kill the gamemaker. Unfortunately for them, their plot fails and they are both labeled as cheaters, and promptly disqualified.
This volume ends with three major cliffhangers. 1: Upon being disqualified, Shun And Takeru are tossed out of the cube barely holding onto life. Are they alive? Dead? This is not answered. 2: What happened to the rest of the survivors that survived the game of this volume? And 3: It is discovered that the god of these games obtained his powers somehow (but it isn't revealed how).
One can only assume that the second series answers all of these questions. I'm not the biggest fan of when a series ends on a major cliffhanger like this, so that knocks it a point for me. 4/5.

Cuando comencé a leer esta historia la verdad es que me atrapó desde el principio, tristemente conforme fue avanzando se notaba que el autor realmente no tiene idea de cómo continuar su historia y todo se convirtió en un total absurdo, y lo que más me molesta, ni siquiera tiene un final coherente. Se supone que hay una segunda parte, no se si la editorial Distrito Manga vaya a publicarla y no estoy segura de si seguiría leyéndola.
