A very well written but very short story by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. He does an incredible job making the characters fleshed out and the scene feel palatable and real, though in a story as short as this at a page count that can be counted on one hand, that feels almost detrimental. A couple more pages could have fixed the feeling of dissatisfaction I felt when the story was finished when I felt it had just started. Thankfully Aaron Dembski-Bowden is quite the prolific writer for Warhammer 40,000 and his writing gets to shine more in those longer books.

Super duper short, but sweet glimpse of how the Black Legion treat Loyalist survivors.

Almost roo short to even be a story, but it's a Black Library Advent Calendar offering, so it is what it is.

Now I only have The Black Legion left.

Please write the thrift book ABaDon!

If there is anyone who could create 4 discernable characters and tell us what the Black Legion is about in only a couple of pages, it is Aaron Dembski-Bowden. A great introduction for his new book.
