Mia Bishop lives in the high desert of Southwestern Colorado in an area steeped in myths and superstitions. She spends her days with her husband and two children, along with their four rescue cats. Abel and Esme were mates and meant to be together but by some cruel twist of fate, Esme released him from being her mate and too late he realises his mistake. When he finds out she is to be married to the Warlord Remus he is terrified for her. As Remus is a cruel wolf who usually ends up killing his mate. But he was also power hungry and he wanted Esme's clan. But Esme's father has other plans up his sleeve and sends for Abel to be her escort prior to her wedding. Things do not go smoothly and Esme is also hiding a secret from Abel. I loved this book for me it has all the elements for a great story. The evil villain, the lover who realises his mistakes and the woman in the middle torn between love and duty, and a few twists and unexpected surprises.

Abel is being tongue whipped by his brother and father for losing their best bartender. They tell him to go get her and give him a note letting him know where she is. It's speed dating night and he meets up with her. ESME is at the speed dating event under duress. When Abel turns up she lets him know that she broke the mate connection so that she could marry a Warlord who is known for his violent tendencies. Now he is invited to the wedding to act as protection for her. Will they be able to get past their pride and reunite? Or will she marry a man who may end her?
Another fantastic story in this series.

Highly enjoyable second chance story that is about Abel from the bible and Esme daughter of King Lycaon who was cursed into a wolf by Zeus. This is full of heartache as their wolves who are mated are torn apart by the decisions of their human half and that of being from enemy packs. It's an engaging story that grabbed me and another wonderful story in this series. Abel was sent by Adam the owner of The Chalice (An Underworld bar) to get his best mixologist back. Abel ends up at the speed dating event where Esme is participating. What occurs is a story full of likable characters, engaging drama, and steamy romantic encounters that was entertaining to read this copy I'd received and volunteer to review.

This is a fast paced read, with so much going on but it is written so well that once I started it I could not stop reading it. Abel and Esme are wolf shifters and true mates but Abel has denied Esme for centuries. Esme is now marrying one of the worst shifters in the underworld and Abel has to stop the wedding. I loved this story. I don't want to give away spoilers so just know it's an excellent read, well written, great characters with a bit of steam. Fast paced and once you get into it you can't stop reading it. Once of the best Denizens of the Underworld! Loved it!.

Abel and Esme are fated mates, but Abel holds a grudge against Esme and her father and he rejects their bond. He may be angry, but he won't let her sacrifice herself. As a result of the broken bond, she has pledged to marry a violent warlord who would have no problem killing her. When Abel's wolf is anxious to find his mate, he goes in search of her, and ends up speed dating with the denizens of the underworld. When he speaks with a psychic, she tells him that his wolf is angry and she makes him understand that he can rectify his mistake. It's a sweet story about two souls who have spent too much time apart. This is a marvelous series and Abel is delightful, in many ways!

As I always say, I'm a huge fan of Speed Dating with the Denizens of the Underworld,
Abel, book #33 by Mia Bishop was a nice surprise. A bit different, probably darker that the majority of the other books in the series.
Abel, THE Abel, Adam's son and Cain's brother, is alive, back from the dead thanks to love, as a werewolf.
The story of Abel and Esme's love is cursed to fail, too many secrets are bound to condemn them to live forever unhappy.... will true love be enough to save them both?
I loved it.

Abel and Esme are fated mates, but that doesn't mean an easy courtship, even at a speed dating event. Abel held a grudge against Esme and her father for centuries. When Esme rejected him and their bond severed, Abel knew he made a terrible mistake. He sets out to make things right and win his mate back before she marrys a sadist tyrant that could kill her on her wedding night. Couldn't put this book down. I got caught up in the story.

Another great read to this universe. I loved how in this one that the speed dating was right away and that the story followed afterwards. Abel has a lot of ground to cover to get Esme to forgive his past transgressions before she marries the wrong guy. The question is can Abel change her mind before that date?.

I have to say I am not sure the king that is Esme’s father was that out of it but this story will have you laughing at these two and the push and pull they go through to get their happily ever after together. I have to say the way Abel takes what is his will have you cheering him on too.

Abel and Esmes story is a fantastic one and a great addition to this incredible series. Fated to be together but Abel messed things up by holding a grudge and now Esme wants to save her kingdom from war so makes the most difficult decision to let Abel go! That’s when things really start to heat up as Abel realises what he has lost and we also see Esme is hiding something! ! Exciting and highly addictive as we watch this couple’s journey.

This is a somewhat different offering to others in the series which I think is great. Abel and Esme are fated mated but because they are doesn't mean that their lives are happy. Their inner wolves revell in the mating but their human sides much less so, and sooner rather than later it affects their relationship. They are both as guilty as each other and neither one seems willing to see the possibilities until maybe it is too late, but how late is it? Can they be healed?

Abel is a man who is prideful and spiteful. They things this man denies is astounding but when push come to shove we’ll see how alpha he really is. Esme is just done so a deal is a deal no matter how broken her own heart is. She is loyal to a fault and sometimes that’s not good depending on the situation.

This was another great story in the line up for Speed Dating with the Denizens of the Underworld. It is a fast read but there is so much going on that will keep you reading and the quips between the King and Abel will have you seriously amused. Love wins the war.
Two souls destined to be together except for hard headed attitudes and a grudge. Both Abel and Esme are mates and yes they both agree but both had some adjusting and growing up to do. The end is a beautiful wedding and a very romantic ending to a new beginning.

Another amazing story in this series with Abel and Esme who are mates but Abel keeps denying Esme so she breaks their bond and now she is marrying a cruel warlord so does Abel stand by and let it happen or will he do something about it?. I loved this story, the characters and the chuckle worthy moments and I highly recommend this book.

When Abel finds out that his mate (yes, his sorry behind did reject her but so what), Esme, is set to wed a murderous wolf, he works to produce a solution. Esme tries to push Abel away but he's having none of that. This story has some action and romance, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

This was an awesome story. Abel may have messed up by rejecting Esme. But he is not willing to watch her sacrifice herself. He has to save her from herself. This series is addictive. Multiple authors with different writing styles and points of view on the paranormal. Highly entertaining read.
