Humorous story of animals dressing up and attending a ball. The various animals seem to portray their personalities - for example the monkeys are laughing and seem to be having fun, and the bull is angry and taking it out on another animal. It is fun to see the different type of clothing the animals wear. This German picture book would be good for younger children preschool to early elementary. When reading the overview, this is a rhyming book. Knowing this maybe children who do not know German can use the pictures to create their own rhymes that go with the animals and the pictures. This could be a great way for young children to use their imaginations.
