Rate this book
A pollinator and a florist: a love that blooms across the galaxy.

Baryx embarks on a journey through the universe to repopulate his kind and save the planet Earth.

When he arrives, he takes on his smaller form, and a human male tries to swat him, almost killing him. Jannessa, a sweet and gentle florist, rescues him and nurtures him back to health. As Baryx spends more time with her, he reveals his true identity, all while discovering new and forbidden emotions.

Torn between duty and desire, Bee, as Jannessa likes to call him, must choose: fulfill his mission or embrace a forbidden love with the woman who showed him the true meaning of passion beyond worlds

The Bee Movie porn parody we never knew we needed (because we don’t need it)

Proceed with caution; this review includes some NSFW quotes and spoilers.

So I read some bee smut. This bee smut concerns Barry Baryx, an alien shapeshifting bee who comes to Earth to find the perfect female human specimen and then, in his own words, "infiltrate the female's uterus [and] harvest the fertilized embryo". (I’m not joking—I would never joke about bee sex.)

Baryx buzzes on over to the Big Apple, where he meets Vanessa Jennessa, a struggling florist in dire need of therapy, and Ken Kent, her low-down no-good cheating-ass boyfriend. Kent tries to kill Baryx. Jenessa rescues the bee, scolds Kent, and takes Baryx home, feeling some happy fuzzies in her belly:
Some odd feeling, almost like arousal, vibrates throughout my body. Maybe it’s because I finally feel like I’m doing something good. Could saving a bee’s life make me horny?

Once in her studio apartment, Jennessa is so abuzz with horny energy that she, um, self-pollinates. In front of the bee. This gets Baryx hot and he does some self-pollinating of his own, if you catch my drift.

"But how does a bee jerk it?" you may ask. Like this:
Before I know what I’m doing, my stinger is in my hand, and I’m stroking myself slowly. Drips of my honey fall from my tip.

"But that’s not how bees work!" you may protest. Well…

Baryx eventually reveals himself to Jennessa as a shapeshifting alien and takes up residence in her apartment. His other, non-bee form is essentially humanoid, but covered in yellow-and-black fuzz with a retractable, um, stinger. But ohohoho, don’t you worry. They still do it while he’s in bee form.

Jennessa is actually delightfully messy.
I plan to get out one fuck and then send him on his way to pollinate the Earth or whatever crap he was talking about. Once he leaves, I’ll be very much alone again, with no friends. Not even a pet. Maybe I should just get a cat and stop being a little bitch. My imaginary therapist would tell me as much. Except I don’t think she’d recommend I bang the alien man. I don’t think anyone would really.

So he gives her his pollen, they listen to some jazz, declare their undying love, and Baryx’s alien friends fix climate change with their magic plant-healing jizz. Jenessa’s life is "better than anything I could have dreamed of, and all because I wanted to fuck a bee."

Beautiful. I would have rated it higher for the bee puns alone (bonus points for one of the minor bee characters meeting his girlfriend on Bumble), but frankly, the writing in this book was low-tier and needed like three more editing passes.

Yo guys! So, I have finally finished this book.

I would love to say that I’ll never read something like this again, but my friends have a way of talking me into the wildest buddy reads.

I wouldn't say much but this was just a pure, unadulterated bee erotica not that I didn't know about it before getting myself into this and high-level cringe. That's all for today. Byeeeeeeee!

pre-read 🐝⟡˚ ݁⋆˖₊.𓂃

Okay, so seems like I have definitely not been peer-pressured into a not-a-cult.

Did I ever think about reading this? Hell NO!
But, alas! I am too loyal to my friends.

I will start off by saying I have not read anything by this author before so I didn't really know what to expect going into this. Even knowing there was an MMC alien who shrinks to a bee-like size, I was expecting an alien romance. Not 150 pages of A Bee Movie p*rn.

It seems like my thoughts and review will be the unpopular opinion. But here it goes:

I can overlook a lot in this book. It's short, and very quickly after beginning this I could tell is was just smut and mostly no plot - which is fine. But there were a number of questionable things in this book that put me off of enjoying this story.

1. The consent issue. The MMC was going to Earth thinking he was going to have to impregnate a female that wouldn't be civilized enough to consent or understand what was going on. I understand that there was the whole thing of him being bred to complete this mission and he made some comments on not really feeling it was ok, but why did this have to be part of the book? Just....no. That immediately made me feel gross and I couldn't enjoy this book with the continuous issue of consent going on.
2. The theme of the human men in these stories being super awful and horrible people. You don't have to try to hard authors. I understand. I'm reading alien/monster books. I know men can never compete. 😆
3. The jokes around mental health in this made me feel icky. The FMC constantly joked about being crazy and the part where she is thinking about her feelings for the MMC and says "A mental institution seems more manageable than having normal men ruined for me for the rest of my life" was........ugh no.
4. The FMC was so annoying in this book. The back and forth she constantly did about doing the alien bee was hard to read. I finally had some respect for her when she made the decision not to have s*x with him because he had different thoughts about what their relationship could be but that was quickly squashed when she changed her mind. Again. No peen is worth pregnancy girl. Even alien or monster peen. And the "Can we just get this over with?" 🤢

Sadly this was a big disappointment. I was looking forward to it from all the good things I heard but it just wasn't for me.

Everything you wanted a not Bee-Movie Bee Movie book to be and more

My followers were absolutely feral for a review of this book after GM Fairy announced it. So many people messaged me I had to ask to be on her “pre-reader” (you know what I mean) team to be ready for release day.

This book is so funny. As with the not-shrek-shrek book this movie is Loosely based on A Bee Movie, except less Jerry Seinfeld and more Jeremy Renner.

(Also thank you GM Fairy for changing his name to Baryx because my Dad’s name is Barry LOL)

⚓️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚓️

Baryx is an alien who is going to pioneer the first mission to earth. His mission? To find a perfect female specimen, secretly “pollinate” her, then extract the embryo and hightail it back to the Colony.

Well, when Baryx lands he discovers humans aren’t the unevolved species they thought. He’s immediately attracted to Janessa.

Janessa owns a failing flowershop and is dating a dumbass named Kent. Like - Kent is unemployed and is about to get scammed into a MLM scheme selling knives.

Anyhoo, I’m gonna speed run the rest of this because so much is going on and I also don’t want to ruin it for you.

- Baryx finds Janessa in his “small form” AKA bee mode
- Kent freaks and whacks him but Janessa saves him and brings him home.
- When Baryx takes his large form, Janessa thinks she’s dreaming. (She keeps saying haha whatever you say dream bee which had me cracking up)
- She wants Baryx to take her to pound town
- Baryx catches Kent banging another woman in Janessa’s bed
- Kent threatens Janessa and Baryx turns on Touch her and Die mode.
- Kent’s jizz is just honey. It can also make plants grow
- His whole body vibrates when he’s aroused, including his eggplant.
- For those of you wondering what that new kink you discovered is when he goes into his bee form to pleasure her - it’s called macrophilia
- After some sex, a kidnapping by the bee aliens, and some human rights debate they end up getting to live happily ever after.

Jump to 5 years later and Janessa has facilitated the intergalactic unity of The Colony and Earth, Married Baryx, is very preggo, and has a whole slew of “magical jizz bee men” (direct quote) growing the earth flowers.

Yes, she does work in the phrase “Do you like Jazz.” Read at your own risk!

Ya like jizz? (This is a play on “Ya like jazz?” from the bee movie but sexier. I know that explaining jokes makes them even funnier so I explained this one).

Tags: F/M, alien MMC, breeding kink (kinda), touch her & d1e, dual POV, bee shifter?

Triggers: Abduction, cheating (not MCs), mentions possible forced pregnancy, mentions of domestic abuse, violence

Shit’s out of pocket fr AS IT SHOULD BE. It’s funny af like it’s a sexy version of the Bee Movie with a slight breeding kink and aliens. CREATIVITY ON FULL THROTTLE. It was also like cutesy?? Like why I kinda want a bee alien man now???? My guy has a vibrating, retractable dick and plant growing honey jizz like hello??? You’re ideal??? (Minus the fact he looks like a giant ass bee with 2 arms and legs and wings and antenna and shit we just gon ignore that).
Just read it cause like we’re here for a good time - not a long time. (Yes I read this book and wrote this review while under the influence) (Not under the influence of honey jizz) (I’ll let you guess what kind of influence)

Lines I didn't expect in this book:
1. Fucking a bee wasn't on my bingo card
2. I'm just a girl
3. Do you like jazz?

Also the happy ending in this story is the girl's business thrives because she gets the male bees to jizz over dying flowers to bring them back to life.

Jerry Seinfeld creating the Bee Movie was all fun and games until that inspired the author to create this pinnacle of smut

I’m obsessed with everything G. M. Fairy writes. So out of pocket but always entertaining. Baryx is actually so sweet and I was surprised that he’s very “touch her and die” but I love that trope.
Got to read this early thanks to ARC but I will be buying a physical copy to go with my G. M. Fairy collection.

This was cute and fun! It definitely buzzed with sweet-as-honey goodness. I will never look at bees the same again. Maybe I’ll treat them to ice cream. And for whatever reason, I’m not so afraid of their stingers anymore. This was my first read by this author and I look forward to reading more.
