I was really surprised by this book. I thought it was going to be a few shorts pulled together. This usually means a lot of repeating the prior book and little character development, but that wasn't the case at all. This had the flow of a signal book and I thought these were two personality-rich characters.
Luke and Harriott were a joy to read about and nicely developed throughout the book. Maybe this was my first Stag and Vixen story, but I was surprised at how intuned they were to one another. I loved the way this couple was so evenly matched. There was no power imbalance. At points, I thought maybe she was going to push him too far, but that never really happened. She seemed to have a good sense of when to tease and when to show affection. This created a balance that allowed each other to play off each other's sexual energy. There was a lot of sexual energy in this book.
We have all read those books where sex is minimized at the end because it just becomes reducant. Not the case in this series. It felt fresh and somewhat plausible (it is fiction after all) to the end. I also loved some of the minor points the author wrote about. Like the difference between a bull and guys that have sex with other people's wives. Or that painfully quiet period after the bull and wive finish. The stag (in this case) is just stuck waiting for them to regain some form of consciousness to remember that you are still in the room.
There were a couple of issues that didn't seem to be explained, like most importantly why now? Or why was it so easy for Harriott to jump in with both feet? Was there anything that Luke couldn't handle, wasn't he worried as she upped the stake each time she played? I didn't find everything acceptable like picking up the twin's husbands for a play date, but these minor issues weren't enough to hold back a rare 5-star ranking from me.

This book provides the full story arc for Luke and Harriet including A Hotwife’s Christmas Stocking, A Hotwife’s 2 For 1 Weekend, The Hotwife Key Party: Harriet and a new addition A Hotwife Takes It … Easy. This book does not include a fifth book, Harriet’s First Threesome, but the fundamentals of that book are covered off in this book - One Hot Year: One Hot Wife.
This 275+ page book shows the evolution of Luke and Harriet’s relationship and the development of Harriet as a hotwife. Takes It … Easy is a fun romp between Harriet and a volleyball team at a tournament in San Diego. Harriet is a great booster for the team, both the full court and the beach volleyball players.
This book is very well written and edited, and we see more from the MCs. I prefer to see a story beyond the sex story, and in this case there is a pretty good travel log as they drive from LA to San Diego. I know that gets in the way for many readers, but I’ve taken a star off because I’m looking for more to the story.
4 Strong Stars, many readers will think it’s a full 5. Enjoy!

It’s hard to think of this as a combination of several independent novels. Mr Swallows doesn’t do flashbacks or recaps with each successive book. It reads as one continuous novel.
This story is about a married couple who are extremely close, with a great sex life. Luke and Harriet. Harriet’s childhood friend and her two kids have been abandoned by her husband. Harriet accompanies her friend Massie bar hopping and dancing to help her recover her self esteem.
Luke gets turned on fantasizing about what they do, since Harriet comes home wet and insatiable. He encourages her to accompany Massie as she goes full slut.
Luke and Harriet both become addicted to how Luke ‘reclaims’ her when she comes home wet and horny after flirting and masturbating strangers on these outings.
Harriet and Luke go on holiday and entice a second man to take her while Luke watches. The reclamation sex is addictive to both of them.
Shortly after this, Massie brings home a man and Harriet finds herself at Massies with them. Luke is out of the country and Harriet is eagerly part of a threesome with them. She sends Luke a picture of the activity and he has no problem with the lack of fidelity.
To me, her change of dynamic from sharing, to selfishness is unconscionable. She should have gotten ‘permission’ prior to playing. She converted him from stag to cuckold without any kind of warning. He submits to it with no comment.
Since he enjoyed the viewing of her sluttiness, she assumed it was agreeable due to his acquiescence .
The next holiday play, she set up a MMF play with Luke watching. She did not bother to consult him before inviting the other men. Luke gave her a Hotwife anklet and encourages her to wear it whenever the potential for meeting other men is possible.
All of this activity prompts Luke to become very aggressive with his reclamation. BUT he never indicates his concerns.
This gives the writer that ‘Poor Communication Angst’ that teases the reader.
The dangerous part of this dynamic, Luke and Harriet are business partners in addition to spouses. Massie enticed Harriet to participate in the same activity that tore her own marriage apart. She pushed her into infidelity without knowing anything about Harriet and Luke’s arrangement. Not a good thing for a ‘life long friend’.
Lukes major concern, it nags him often,... Were Harriet and Massie active among themselves or just servicing Noah. Harriets self controlled infidelity wasn’t an issue,.. Was she willing to be bi as well? He fantasizes about Himself being in the middle of a FFM encounter, but he fails to communicate that.
That is titillating, but unrealistic. Lukes primary interest is his ‘fantasies’. When they discuss boosting Massie’s moral, instead of planning a threesome with Luke involved, they discuss getting a bull to provide the male component. Luke says nothing. Even when she proposes to deny him sex until after the bull.
None of this behavior is consistent with Mr Swallows attitudes. It’s pure porn writing. He is a strong advocate to Stag-Vixen and he’s writing a character who is being gradually pushed into cuckoldry.
While Luke starts out as a Stag who accompanies her. She branches out solo in the beginning. She quickly adopts the policy of clearing her play with him. He seldom gives her constraints. As she gets more and more licentious, she's adamant about him being in attendance.
The Key Party is the most erotic.
Harriet becomes more likable as this develops.
The early sections were a bit off putting, but she develops a preference for Luke being with her and their relationship shines.

This is the second hot wife series I have read from this author. This story has a lot similar with the other hot wife story I read, but the names and circumstances are slightly different.
I do like how the husband is the one that arranges most of her dates with the bulls and enjoys watching his wife get screwed and come - a lot. Getting pounded by multiple men, and a little lesbianism on the side turns her husband on. Watching his wife take up to 6 cocks in a row he enjoys being #7.
There is not quite a gang bang, anal sex, lesbian sex, lesbian anal sex with a strap on, MFM, DP, and a whole lot of cum shot into and onto the hot wife. I dislike how safe sex was something that was occasionally and not very well practiced.

WHAT A FABULOUS READ, from a slow start to super slut, through a series of hook ups and adventures she emerges throughout as a loving attentive wife. It took me a few days to read this series of books and it was difficult to put down each day lol
