What a rollercoaster ride! No spoiler review 😊
This was the series that rekindled my interest in YA, which I had thought long over! I love this author’s writing and storytelling and am happy that there’s now a boxset of this fab series 😁
Sasha has plenty of trials and heartbreak to face in this series - not least at the very beginning, transitioning from an ‘ordinary’ mafia lifestyle to a paranormal reality! - within herself as much as externally and as a result she eventually grows more not just in maturity, but also in emotional intelligence/maturity.
There are life wisdoms interwoven throughout the series, a reminder that we can feel settled, comfortable and in control, but then something can happen to pull the rug out from under us and leave us vulnerable, fearful and unsure again; or that holding on to past traumas stops ourselves from moving forward. All of which and more, Sasha has to overcome. Yet at all times along the way, there’s the reciprocated loyalty and love of her nagual family that warmed my heart. And then there’s the warmth of another kind (or should I say scalding heat!) Sasha’s growing relationship/bond with her mate Balastar🔥🥵
A unique take on the paranormal genre; spirituality combined with a clever twist of the zodiac and astrology, superb world and character building that just kept growing and expanding, plenty of action, heartbreaking moments along with heartwarming ones, this series has it all! I’ve enjoyed every moment along the way on Sasha’s journey of self discovery, growth, justice seeking and, above all, love ♥️
The stars most definitely aligned, but R. C. Luna wrote the path for a great series! I highly recommend reading this boxset. Very much looking forward to whatever comes next from this talented author 😁

Romantasy Done Right!

If you love paranormal romance with magic, destiny, and fierce heroines, the Warrior Shifter series by R.C. Luna deserves a spot on your shelf.
This series blends zodiac mythology, shapeshifters, and high stakes romance into a story that keeps expanding with every book. What starts with mystery and prophecy in Zodiac Shadows quickly grows into a much bigger journey filled with danger, loyalty, betrayal, and characters learning how powerful they truly are.
One of the things I loved most is the atmosphere. The zodiac elements woven through the story give the world a mystical, cosmic feel that makes the magic stand out from typical shifter stories. It feels written in the stars but still grounded in the emotional struggles of the characters.
The heroine’s journey is especially satisfying to follow. Watching her step into her strength while navigating romance, enemies, and destiny adds so much tension and heart to the series. The relationships, both romantic and platonic, make the stakes feel real.
It is also refreshing to see a Latine author contributing to the paranormal and fantasy romance space. Voices like R.C. Luna bring new perspective and creativity to the genre, and this series is a great example of how diverse storytelling enriches fantasy worlds.
If you enjoy zodiac lore, shifters, magical destinies, and strong character driven fantasy romance, the Warrior Shifter series is absolutely worth checking out.

Warrior Shifter #0.5
Zodiac Shadows
This is the prequel. Superbly well written. You get some background information into the FMC. I am hooked and cannot wait to get my hands on, not only book one but on, the entire series.

Warrior Shifter #1
Zodiac Fate
This book is fantastically written. I feel in love with Sasha. This is a powerful love story and I can't wait to see where Luna takes us next.

Warrior Shifter #2
Zodiac Chaos
This book picks up straight after the events in book one. The story has magic and mystery with a massive betrayal. This story has everything I look for in a paranormal series

Warrior Shifter #3
Zodiac Prison
Told from two points of view, there is no shortage of action in this story. Will Sasha find a way to change the future? It's a roller coaster ride of emotions. I am in love with this series! Recommend for those who enjoy dark fantasy.

Warrior Shifter #4
Zodiac Throne
This book was the best of them all and I am so sad to say goodbye to Sasha. The worlds R.C Luna creates are magical. What a fantastic ending to a fantastic series.

4 1/2 stars - This box set collection was an enjoyable read by a new author to me. I found the characters introduce in this serial likable and interesting. This serial starts with Sasha's 18th birthday reflecting Tia Lily telling her about a vision of meeting her shaman and that she had a special path to follow then years later divorced from a Mafia King, fighting Shadows, enlisting in the service, meeting her shaman, and then going to the Aries Academy and more. It has dark undertones since the worldbuilding is set with a mix of mythology in a paranormal romance. The storyline was entertaining as Sasha Moreno life journey evolves. Then she meets UnZol King Balastar Ramon del Castillo her mate in the underworld. This serial is filled with drama, lots of action and romance. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.

I gotta say it was a fun read. It was charming, funny, and witty. The book had plot, it had spice, it had cherishing moments. The secret formula for a good romantasy book. I love knowing it was written by a Latina author, brownie points! We definitely need more representation in the book community. The chapters were short and fast paced, it can quickly get addicting. Overall, I’d give it a 4.5 stars, only because certain words used (like apex, folds, and mound) when the characters were doing the boombaya weren’t my cup of tea (I’m sorry, please don’t hate me, I’m just very selective with certain terms). Despite that, I really loved the book. Dame más! I’m excited to see what else Señorita R.C Luna has in store. 🩷

Wow, just wow!

Ms. Luna has written a truly stunning series that kept me engrossed from the first page to the last. This is a dark, enemies to lovers, action-packed, and steamy thrill ride with shapeshifters, living gods, and fantastic characters out of myth and legends. The characters are all riveting, complex, and kept me engaged to the point that I couldn't put this book down. The world reflects our own, but with a twist that left me amazed to the point that I hated to see this book and series end. Each book in the series was a buildup to a satisfying conclusion. I will happily recommend this book to other readers but also add that there are potential triggers for some readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this series provided by Hidden Gems.

I devoured this series! I highly recommend it if you like:

- a magical fantasy world, written down in a way you can see it rising up, the more you continue reading
- intriguing creatures, brought to live in such a detailed way
- sparkling emotions and so nicely worked to a climax in the last book ( which was the best in my opinion)

The story felt almost real, even though it’s high fantasy but once in, this series keeps you going.

Wow and wow 🤩!.

Everything you could ask for! With a FMC who rises to the throne and finds herself, her strength , through trials and heartache. Only to rise up! Freeing her kind and finding her forever love - the stars write the path! 🇵🇷

A Very Good Read

The way the storyline of the prequel unfolded, I wasn't sure what this series was supposed to be about. The next book started to really get into what I understood the series to be about. Each book was fairly well written, but there were some romantic twists that didn't feel like they fit the storyline. The conclusion felt like it was rushed, with too much left unexplained.

I absolutely loved the Warrior Shifter Series by R.C. Luna. The Latin representation is so well done and adds real depth to the story, the zodiac-based magic is fascinating, and the world-building pulled me in fast. Add in fierce characters, high stakes, and some truly chef’s kiss spicy scenes, and I was completely hooked. If you love shifters, astrology, and dark fantasy romance, this series is a must-read. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"The standout feature of the Warrior Shifter series is the unique blend of Mayan Nagual lore and Western Zodiac mythology. It creates a complex, high-stakes system of magic that feels fresh in a crowded genre. Seeing Sasha evolve from a mafia 'cleaner' into a powerhouse protector of the Zodiac gates is a wild ride. It’s an ambitious series that manages to balance brutal combat with deep emotional growth."

Please check all CW and TW before reading this one. I love a story where the FMC has growing opportunities. Sasha’s life has so many points at which it’s put on its head but when she learns what she is it was so jaw dropping. I love the back story we get of this world Sasha is thrust into. I could not put this one down.

I think I made it to half of the third book (including prequel). I stopped reading. I wanted to try but it's not for me. But it was interesting and I finished two so... It was just a bit too much. There's no spice at all really, but I appreciate the author regardless and I think she's magnificent. It's not really my genre but I finished 2.5 of the books. And I also bought it all when it was on sale though I was done reading.

I'm leaving individual reviews on each book I read, but I will update it here as well.

Prequel (Zodiac shadows): I liked it. It was slow to start. It was emotional, and I got very into it. I relate a lot to Sasha. I like the choice of words. Some minor errors. A little rushed, but it was a good background to the story itself. It was interesting. This is not my typical genre, but I'm determined to finish it all.
