I did enjoy the plot. Unfortunately the book is over written with description, internal monolog, and a couple of times stops the flow to speak directly to the reader. The main character is supposed to be naive but it comes out as being stupid, then somehow turns brilliant at the end when others give up on her. 10 books in this series, I just can't imagine reading drawn out scenes again.
What a great and exciting read… I can’t wait to read the next book… The strength of friendship and self worth a highlighted along with lots of action with any mistakes made along the way… From ignorance to enlightenment is one heck of an adventure… A really great read…
At first there didn't seem to be any connection between the books description to what was happening in the book that I almost stopped reading. Finally once the second vampire made an appearance the story flowed better.
What a brilliant read, I enjoyed it! The characters were well written Odette, I think it shows us how afraid we humans really are. We surprise ourselves how strong we actually are!
patchy writing, In parts super annoying and don't get me started on Lillian!! but the story was action packed, if not very repetitive in the action scenes.
I love delving into new magical worlds. This is a strong start. Vampires werewolves and witches. A mysterious boss who is protective yet distant.. count me in
I loved the pace of this story. It moves quickly and is solid. The characters are great with their interactions. Do yourself a favor and follow this author.
