Five Weeks in December

Rate this book
Two years ago tragedy took Harry Everett's confidence as a man and as a Dom. And while he's managed to continue to live his life, what he hasn't been able to do is venture back into the lifestyle that used to be as much a part of him as breathing. The trust he once had in his instincts is broken and for the first time in his life, this alpha man is lost and without answers. So when a friend suggests perhaps a professional submissive could help him, Harry's reluctantly willing to try. He doesn't hold out much hope, though. Until she shows up on his doorstep and turns everything upside down.

A professional submissive for the past seven years, December doesn't belong to any one master. And she likes it that way. But when her best friend’s Dom asks December to help his friend, she can't resist the chance to really do some good. Here's a man who doesn't just want someone to flog - he needs what she can provide and December is determined to help. She's prepared for this to be tough, but what she's not prepared for is how Harry makes her feel. It’s obvious from the beginning that he’s not like any other client and this is not just a job – for either of them.

She’s got five weeks to help him heal.

He’s got five weeks to learn how to keep her… or how to let her go.

Harry's a Dom who’s lost his confidence, his trust, his love. A large part of his life was the BDSM world but one day that ALL changed. He doesn’t know how to find his way back until a friend recommends the service of a professional submissive.

"I want to serve you," she breathed
This gives me the tingles

Enter December…. “She’s got five weeks to help him heal.” She selects her clients and enjoys the healing process. Sex is sometimes an enjoyable added bonus….. Would she enjoy adding it for Harry???

Would five weeks be enough???

Five Weeks in December centers mainly around the healing of our main hero, even the sensual, highly erotic threesome has the healing process in mind. I'm not always a fan of threesomes but I thought it worked perfectly in the context of this story.
"....she was drowning in the scent and taste and touch of these two men."

Is he the only one who needs healing???

The 3 Star Feelings
I liked this story but it was a little too instantaneous for my tastes, if I'm honest, and the sentiment, although lovely was slightly laboured. The story felt like it went round in circles, just a little.

"Something heavy simmered in the air between them."

The Lovely Feelings
I needed an erotic fix and this book delivered with its many, many sexy scenes.... Very, very sensual and lovely!! I loved the relationship Harry and December shared, although it all happened quickly, it was an extremely sexy, sensual, delicious read; they certainly enjoyed each other. I'd recommend Five Weeks in December when you're in the mood for something short and sexy with a BDSM theme.

"I understand why you didn't tell me initially. I need you to be honest. Even if that's just you saying you can't do something. That something affected you negatively."
Harry snorted. "Shall I pick a safeword next?"

I started reading this book a couple weeks ago and had to put it down because it didn't grab me. I gave it another try but realized I just couldn't connect with the characters. Fact is there wasn't any chemistry between Harry, December and me. It's better to bow to the inevitable instead of dragging myself through the whole story at snail's pace.

“My name is December. And for the next five weeks, I belong to you.”

December is a professional submissive, who doesn’t belong to no one, she chooses her clients specifically based on the needs they have. She is always in control and vows to be the submissive her client needs, ”The scenes are business, the sex is recreational.” She loves being needed, knowing she is truly helping someone, that’s what makes her who she is..
“I’m not a soft, demure sort of sub who’ll crawl for just any Dom and beg prettily for more. “

Harry needs to get his groove back, it’s been ”two years, three months and twenty-one days” since the one who he thought was his everything, shattered his heart and his trust. He knows its time to finally get back to the man he used to be, the man in control, the Dom. He knew a piece of him was missing, but he wasn’t sure if it was Katie he missed or the control he once had, most likely it is a little bit of both but the only way to know is with December’s help. What he wants is simple, he needs...
“Someone who doesn’t just accept, but who demands I be the best Dom I can be for her, not the Dom for me.”

Something about the whole arrangement didn’t sit right with him, knowing she “has to” belong to him because he is her client; it feels too orchestrated, too planned out. He doesn’t want the December she gives to all her clients but the December who is can react honestly, wanting reality not fantasy. December knows she shouldn’t be doing this, but something about this broken beautiful man has her agreeing to almost anything he says. What happens when what you thought you needed or wanted no longer fits in the life you lead today? What happens when the line between business and pleasure is blurred, finding yourself no longer in control of your own emotions and actions? Well Harry and December are about to find out.

Five weeks in December was a sweet erotic story about finding yourself and your true desires. Harry was beautifully lost, he could be playful and controlled one moment and the next vulnerable and withdrawn. His belief in himself was taken away from the one person he trusted and believed in, and seeing him get his groove back was damn sexy. December was a product of her work, she was so wrapped up in her world, she lost touch with reality, not willing to believe someone could actually like the real her. I enjoyed the chemistry between Harry and December, plus it doesn’t hurt having Henry Cavill be the main star of my imagination.

Genres:

This is a contemporary romance erotica with BDSM elements.

The story & characters:

Part of the story is about a woman name December that is a submissive for hire. The line between being a submissive for hire and a prostitute was a little blurred. It was realistic in a way that not everything in life is black or white, definitely a lot of grey area going on there.

Overall, December was a likable character, but most of the book kept me at a distance from her. It’s not until near the end of the story that we really get to see more of who she really is. I think it was written that way on purpose though. It helped me to understand and relate to the frustration Harry was going through.

Harry is the other main character and December’s client. He is in a way the opposite of December. December seem messy and contradicting. While Harry is neat, organized, and fit into some clichés a little too perfectly.

Overall, Harry was also a likable character, but it was hard at first for me to grasp how what happened damaged him so much. The story in general had a quick progression and things moved forward rather quickly. Because of this, it didn't really give me enough time to relate to the turmoil he went through.

My star rating:

I’m giving this three stars because it was a good story, but there were things I just didn't get. I’m not going to list them though since I think it’s just personal to me.

Recommended:

To anyone looking for a contemporary romance with some kinky sex thrown in.

Harry is a Dom who lost his confidence as a Dom and a man. December is a for hire submissive who Harry's friends think can help him. Harry has December for 5 weeks. What begins as a professional relationship evolves in a romantic one. Harry is charmed by December's personality and falls in love with her.The scenes were very erotic and hot. This was a good BDSM story. The characters are very likeable. I gave this book only 4 stars as their were a few errors but overall it was a great read and I am looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

My name is December and for the next five weeks, I belong to you

I really wanted to like Five Weeks in December. The summary and plot sold me, so I was anticipating a ready steamy read between dominate and trained submissive. Instead I got a somewhat “dominate” Hero with past issues and a very opinionated “submissive”.

The summary told me Five Weeks in December is about Harry, a dominate who kind of lost his way. Two years ago, his fiancé died and so his dominate life style went with it. He paid a submissive, December to sort of get his groove back.

When Harry and December first meet, it was kind of insta-lust, which is okay because she’s a paid submissive, I kind of figured they would get to the steam fairly quickly. But she goes and tells Harry that she isn’t a prostitute and she picks and chooses who she has sex with (her clients that is). So when she said that, I was thinking, oh, there’s going to be good tension. Nope, they have sex right away, but not the kinky kind.

There was hardly any BDSM, D/s role play. Harry is hardly a Dom, sure he tells December to kneel, spank her a few times, but what I really wanted was to get into the heart and meat of the matter. What happened to Harry? I understand his fiancé died and it messed him up, but I kind of wanted December to push his buttons and get him to really play the Dom role. Instead she was kind of pushy, but not in the submissive way, but in a Mistress way. She talked back and was sometimes punished, but not really. She also suggested things and Harry went with it, instead of Harry commanding to her. I don’t know about you, but in a true submissive role, I like the Dom to take total action. I didn’t get that.

I also felt that the story was lacking, depth, chemistry and drama. Sure the threesome and mild M/M scene was entertaining, but I felt like it was kind of thrown in there for the much needed kink I was looking for. Long story short, I didn’t get my romance I was looking for. I am very disappointed. I feel like there’s a lot of potential, but I just couldn’t connect with the characters.

Towards the climatic ending, I felt like the author really did try hard to get Harry and December to work on the relationship, but to me, it just felt awkward and out of place. I didn’t understand the scene change. Then December started to frustrate me and I basically gave up.

Overall, it was a short, fast read and had it presented itself differently in the summary, I probably would have enjoyed it much more. It’s more about two people with hurt pasts trying to find love with a mild BDSM tone in the background.

For two years, Harry Everett has been without a sub.

After a series of events leave him questioning his ability as a Dom, Harry eschews both his dominant nature and the lifestyle that was his lifeblood, leaving him a shell of his former self. Concerned for him, his friends recommend a professional submissive to help him regain his confidence.

December doesn't normally take on clients she doesn't personally know. After learning about Harry's problem from her friend, however, she decides to make an exception. December desperately wants to help someone, for her work to have a purpose. Helping Harry heal is a salve to her own self-worth. But as their five weeks come to a close, can she deny the feelings she has for Harry? Will she be able to walk away?

Harry and December were both likeable, dynamic characters. One of my favorite things are characters that grow and evolve throughout the course of a book. Here, Blue Kincaid delivered. Their journey towards love is what kept me turning the pages. The BDSM was light, but hot, with scenes that included objectification, orgasm denial, bondage, impact play and public exhibition. The sex scenes were steamy, varied and well done.

So, why the 3.5 stars?
There were a few continuity and editing errors that had me re-reading sentences (i.e. Harry is referred to as Henry while they are in a restaurant. I thought I had missed a character introduction until I realized it was a typo.). Also, while we learn what happened to Harry to cause him to lose confidence in himself early on in the book, we don't learn about December's history until the very end. Unfortunately, this left me very frustrated with December for most of the book, as I didn't understand the motivation for the decisions she made regarding Harry. Had December's history and issues been laid out up front (perhaps in a prologue), I think I would have been much more connected to December. Ultimately, though, my biggest problem was with one little sentence that irritated me so much I had to set my Kindle down.
Harry says "We've never discussed safewords, because I don't believe in them."
December is a professional submissive who doesn't know him personally. I just can't bring myself to believe that this would be okay with her. AT ALL. In the end, I wish that whole exchange wasn't in the book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this light, erotic BDSM romance. I would recommend it to someone who likes Cherise Sinclair or Maya Banks and is interested in trying a new indie author that shows a lot of promise. The next installment in the Twisted & Tied series, Taming Drew, is about Sebastian, the incredibly hot Shibari Master you meet in FWiD. That one is definitely going on my tbr list!

I received the book in exchange of an honest review. Here it is: 4 stars.

The plot: Harry is a Dom who's lost confidence in his abilities after a drama two years ago. Retired from the lifestyle he denies an important part of himself. One of his friends convince him to try once more with the help of a professional submissive. December has been contracted for five weeks in the quest to make Harry the Dom he once was. But what began as a professional relationship evolves in a romantical one. Harry is charmed by December's personality and falls in love with her.

What I liked in the book: the atmosphere is set in soft strokes. With a few well chosen words the writer paints the scenes and set the mood.
"She stood outside his door, unseasonably early snow flakes catching in her dark hair as he peered through the peephole ... and Harry's heart thudded inside him. Afraid".
This sentence hooked me up from the beginning.
The first part happens mainly inside Harry's house conferring a very intimate and soft sensual vibe. They learn to know each other, adjusting. December is very perceptive and intuitively senses what Harry needs, which button to push to help him regain his confidence. As she ensnares Harry, she didn't expect to fall for him. Suddenly, she does not want to think about the termination of their agreement. December is sensual, without inhibition and cares a lot about Harry.
Harry expected a whore not a soft sweet girl. He is hesitant, damaged and reluctant to say the least. But the alchemy is present and December brings the Dom to the surface. Harry loves objectifying and displaying his submissive ... at first.
The scenes were very erotic, hot but not in a pornographic way. Even if they were very explicit with lots of steam (Oh MY!)they were not crudely depicted. There was always a great sensuality but also a kind of softness. I always felt it was more than pleasure and sex. Harry reverred December throughout the book like a precious loved possession. He did so much more than purely objectifying her!

All in all, a good erotic story with, well, a delicate feeling for me. So, hot but tasteful and loving sex. Not real extreme BDSM like you can find in some other novels.
I truly enjoyed it.

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!!

This is the first book in the Twisted and Tied series by Blue Kincaid. I've looked, but can't find, any other books by this author. This reads like she's been writing for years. It's that good. Yes, it's erotica...but it's also romance. It's sweet. It's hot. It made me smile. It made me want to smack some people (their exes). And then...back to sweet.

Can an erotic book be charming? This one certainly is. Harry was hurt. His Dom side took a hard hit two years previously. He needs to find his confidence. He hires a professional sub at the behest of one of (hot) friends). December takes on the job because she likes to help people. And she knows he does need some TLC, in a perfectly sub sort of way, of course.

Both of these characters need some healing. Lucky for us they find it with each other...oh, and with Raphe at one point. (Yes, some m/f/m action)

Yes, this is not for the under 18 crowd. There's some kink here. But this isn't smut, at least not to my mind. I'm not fond of "smut for smut's sake." Thankfully, Ms. Kincaid doesn't go that route.

I liked December's "bratty" mouth as she pushed Harry's buttons. And Harry liked it, too. There's a line that sums this relationship:

“Because any Dom knows that the submissive is the one in control. He might wield the crop or the candle wax or the rope, but she holds the reins. Nothing happens without her consent.”

So while she's the sub...she's still in charge, and they both know it.

Yes, I'm impressed with this elegantly written book, and now anxiously awaiting the next one, Taming Drew. The writing was that good. I need more.

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, this is a hard book to review.

Let's start with my usual positive/negative dichotomy:

On the positive side, I enjoyed the evolution of the two main characters. They changed as they learned about each other and, even more, about themselves.

Negatively, I do not see this book as BDSM. Better to describe it as "a little kinky romance." Its slightly less vanilla than the 50 Shades series, much better written of course, but still...not BDSM, especially in the last 50 pages.

I tried to connect with Harry and December. I made a lot of effort. But Harry is cliche "broken dom" with shades (pun intended) of Christian Grey. I did find it easier to connect with December, but perhaps that is owing to my nature.

In synopsis, we have a dom who has suffered a tragedy to which I can relate a bit too well. Rather than cope with it like the strong man a dom should be, he whines and hides. Enter December, who is supposed to bring him out of his sulk and back to who he was. The secondary and tertiary characters contribute mostly encouragement of a relationship that was not supposed to happen. A few "scenes" and a blow-up at a sex club lead to more drama, an unexpected trip, what appears to be the end, then the actual conclusion of the story directly out of central casting.

I liked the story though I did not love it. As a slightly kinky romance novel, it succeeds. But the tragically fallen dominant, the sub who needs to be loved, and the contrivances that bring the story to a close were all too much out of previous stories. Read it as a romance novel.....do not read it as a BDSM novel. With those expectations in mind, I can recommend it with four stars.

Provided by the author through the BDSM group on Goodreads.

At times, this book has a slower-paced, romantic, classy feel to it. I found that vibe refreshing in a contemporary story.

The evolution of the characters was interesting. I feel like they were not 100% the Dom/sub readers might expect. This highlights the variety of dynamics in BDSM (and in all relationships). I liked the fact that the characters were unique and not the same Dom/sub dynamic written over and over. In the beginning, December feels like more of a dominant in the relationship than a submissive. She was a leader and instigator in their relationship. Harry was awkward and uncomfortable instead of confident. As time passed, he gained his confidence when hers faltered.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I plan to continue reading the series.

ok I was given this book by the author for an honest review, overall this book was really good, I enjoyed the way December treated Harry pushing him to get back into his dominant personality. Even though she is being paid to be his submissive it is clear to see they have chemistry and sparks between them and I liked that Harry was the one to pursue the relationship more than December, in most books its typically the woman doing the pushing not the man. But Harry quickly gets back what he was missing, and he wants December to have a permanent place in his life. Overall a great read and I look forward to the next book in this series :)

Five Weeks In December is a well written BDSM book. I absolutely love the story line. It played out nicely. I love December's attitude. She's a great lead. I also like how Harry is portrayed. They were a nice match for each other. The hot and steamy scenes were written nicely. I like how the author told the story. A great series for me to follow. I would definitely recommend this book be added to your tbr list. A very good read.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Five Weeks in December by Blue Kincaid is listed with the labels BDSM, Erotica and Romance. What Five Weeks in December actually is, is a sweet romance about two people who learn to love themselves and each other through BDSM. I read the story in one sitting because I was charmed by Harry and December and was rooting for them to find their happy ever after.

The book starts off with December, a professional submissive, appearing at Harry’s front door. Harry hired December to help him get his dominant groove back. But from the first moment, Harry was mesmerized by December. And as he gained his confidence as a Dom and a man, he realized that he had fallen in love with December.

In a nice twist from the traditional romance, it is the heroine who pulls back from a long-term commitment. December is wildly attracted to Harry; in fact, he has everything she could ever want in a Master. But December has her own secrets and doubts and while Harry has regained his assurance and poise with her help, she is still convinced that he won’t love her once he discovers those secrets.
Harry has only five weeks to convince December that what he feels is love and not gratitude for helping him. He sets out to romance and woo her. Well he certainly won me over. In fact, I was just “wild about Harry.” His inner strength as he fought for December made him irresistible. There was such sensuality in his every touch and the way he treated December like a prized and precious possession just about did me in.

Meanwhile, December was also a fascinating character. After all, what type of woman chooses to become a professional submissive? She certainly wasn’t a doormat. In fact, December was independent, smart and a whole lot of sassy. As Harry slowly knocked down her walls, it was obvious what made him fall in love.

While Five Weeks in December may not be your traditional dark BDSM book, that doesn’t mean the sex wasn’t hot. There is one mind blowing sex that will make you wish you were December. I especially loved that even in the midst of a flogging, the love Harry felt for December came through in every stroke.

We were also introduced to Harry’s friends who I am sure will be the focus of other books in the Twisted & Tied series. Each man was so delightful in their own right that I’m not sure who I want to read about next.

This is the first book I have read by Ms. Kincaid and I was impressed. Five Weeks in December is a terrific start to a new series. If this first book is any indication, it’s going to be a wonderful series and I can hardly wait for the next one.

"My name is December. And for the next 5 weeks, I belong to you". Okey-dokey, then. As long as that's clear. But as things turns out, it's not.
Harry Everett agreed to a business arrangement. He'a a dom who, two years ago lost his fiancee, his self confidence & his way. Since then he hasn't been active in the lifestyle but when friend Jeremy suggests hiring a professional submissive, he thinks maybe it's time. Enter December North.
December is a sub but she chooses to have no one master. Instead, she focuses on men who are broken in some way, thinking of herself as a "fixer" in an attempt to drown out the taunts of a man from her past. She's lovely, patient & straight forward but maybe a little sassier than you average sub ("I'm a bit more on the mouthy side.")
Through Jeremy, she agrees to take Harry on & flies to his house in DC. By the end of 5 weeks, neither of them will be the same.
When you pick up a book in this genre, you have some idea of what to expect. Ya, there's going to be lots of sex, probably a little kink & hopefully, characters who come across as adults. The rest is up for grabs & whether you enjoy it or not will be a matter of personal taste.
I liked this book & it wasn't because it was a take on the plot of "Pretty Woman" . I liked the characters. Harry comes across initially as a guy who has it all. But being a dom was part of his essential make-up & when he couldn't hold on to his previous sub, it shook his belief in himself & who he was. As soon as December walks through his door, some old feelings begin to stir. December is the farthest thing from a weepy, spineless, drama-addicted heroine, praise the Lord! She speaks her mind & enjoys her job.
And so we get to be peeping toms as they slowly redefine the rules & a business agreement becomes something more. They have stuff to work through & Harry will have to survive a trip to December's home town (and a gun toting stepfather) but the end is never much in doubt. The sex is provocative & hot but never extreme. We also meet Harry's three closest friends, all hunky dudes who will star in their own stories in forthcoming books (I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Raphael again after his "appearance" here...yum).
These are not books that will change the world but they will give you (and possibly your partner) a little kick & a smile. Not a bad thing at the end of a long day in reality.

HARRY MAY BE 50 SHADES F**KED UP, BUT HE ONLY HAS DECEMBER FOR 5 WEEKS TO GET A WHIP BACK IN HIS HAND TO BE A DOM!

Five Weeks in December is a BDSM erotic romance novel and the first in the Twisted & Tied series by Blue Kincaid. Harry Everett lost all the confidence of a dominant when tragedy struck two years ago. He no longer feels the desire to go to the BDSM club, nor utilizes the playroom like he has in the past. Since then, his friends convince Harry to hire a professional submissive so he can be the dominant he was before the incident. Harry’s friends recommend a mutual friend, December North, who feels a personal accomplishment when she fixes broken dominants while allowing herself to heal from her past.

“He didn’t know what he’d expected, but definitely not a soft eyed, sweet-smiled girl with snowflakes on her lashes.“

December may be a submissive, but she is no ordinary submissive because she is mouthy, sassy, and has no master. When she agrees with Harry on the arrangement, she leaves her home in Los Angeles, California and flies out to Washington DC. Will December help Harry be the same dominant he used to be before tragedy struck?

“The first time I submitted to anyone, when it was over he led me out of the playroom, shut the door behind us and the rest of the night was just kind of a normal date. I guess that sort of set the tone for things for me – playrooms are for playing, the rest of the world is for other things.” - December

Was December getting more than she bargained for with Harry, was he changing her too by helping her heal from her past?

“He hadn’t said a word, there wasn’t a rope or chain in sight and yet he had her bound in breathless anticipation with nothing more than his silent, wordless gaze.” - December

Five Weeks in December is a HOT PANTY-DROPPING LOVE STORY that will capture your attention immediately and will have you on an emotional roller coaster of LOVE, COMPASSION, SADNESS, ANGER, DISTRUST, FORGIVENESS, COLLARS, LEASHES, M/F/M, and HOT SEX SCENES. Five Weeks in December does not end with a cliffhanger, but Blue Kincaid provides us a preview to the second novel in the Twisted & Tied series, Taming Drew, coming March 2014.

"My name is December. And for the next 5 weeks, I belong to you.”

Blue Kincaid’s novel in the Twisted & Tied series, Five Weeks in December, receives - 5 AMAZING STARS!

Five Weeks in December
Twisted and Tied Book 1
Blue Kincaid
I received this story in exchange for an honest review from Net Galley.
Harry Everett is a Dom without a sub. His last sub, his fiancee had died two ago on her way to meet her lover. Harry obviously has not been the same since. He has not been able to top anyone since then. His friends are worried about him and suggested a professional submissive to help him out.
December is this person. She is to be his submissive for five weeks. She is to help him to regain his dominant nature. She is sweet, loving and soft. She terrifies him.
This story was not your typical dom/sub story, I found it to be deeper emotionally. It was not simply about the sex or the act of BDSM but rather about two people getting to know one another. I loved how she was always running through the house in her bare feet. It made it seems so much more real to me.
The sex scenes were beautifully done, I felt very honored to be reading them , almost trespassing on something beautiful. There was straight sex, voyueristic sex, and lots and lots of toys. He really treated her as if she was a treasure. He cares about her feelings and fulfilling her needs. They do everyday things together and they just seem so perfect.
Well, we know that there has to be some bumps along the way and this story is no different. Harry is still hurting from his past relationship and December must come to grips with the reasons that she bounces around in her live. Why does she prefer to keep bouncing from job to job. She has some secrets to tell. This story was very well done and I loved the way the focus of the story was on the development of the two main characters and not just simply sex after sex scene. Now don't get me wrong, there were sex scenes and they were hot stuff. I really thought the secondary characters were well done. His friends were awesome and her family was definately a hoot.
I would recommend this story to all romance readers and would rate it 4/5.

I got this book Via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Harry is a Dom who hasn't been a part of the scene in two years. Ever since the passing of his beloved Katie, what is crippling him from carrying on with life is not so much her passing but the fact that on the night of her death she was on her way to meet another Dom, a man she was going to leave him for. He has a hard time getting past this and belief in himself lacking.
His friends persuade him to buy time with a professional Sub, somebody who can help him find his way back to the life he once lived.

December is a girl who wants to fix what's broken it seems to be her calling in life and helps ease her own baggage and self doubt so when she takes a job in DC living as Harry's Sub for 5 weeks she can't help but be excited. But when she finds herself caring deeply for this man the lines get blurred and she gets confused about what's real and what is part of the job.

I liked these characters they where very enjoyable with well defined personalities. The author has a good back story and fills the pages with love, lust, sex, angst and comical banter.

I loved the romance and the need that showed between December and Harry. Although they have a Dom/ Sub relationship it came across and very deep, caring and emotional from the very start. He might of been the Dominant but she was the one that held the power.

I think Harry had a great set of friends that I hope the books to follow focus on because I can't wait to find out more about!
This story contains a mind blowing sex scene that wont be everybody's cup of tea... it was, well carnal to say the least.. male on male lip lock action!!! I blushed honest to goodness blushed LOL. PAGE TURNING!

Their are a few errors within the story but nothing major that takes away from the enjoyment of the book. This series definitely has room for growth and I'm really excited to read more of it.

The author won me over with Five Weeks in December!

**** I RECEIVED THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE OF AN HONEST REVIEW****

I really liked this story, it was very original. The story centres on Harry, a man that after having encountered tragedy a couple of years back has lost his confidence as a man and as a Dom, he is completely lost and he cant seem to regain a trust in himself which is a vital part in a BDSM relationship, a friend suggest that a professional submissive might be the answer to his problems so he unwillingly gives it a go; enters December, and Harry's world completely turns upside down, December on the outside seems to be the picture of confidence, she has a way about helping people, its in her nature, so when her best friend's Dom asks her to try to help Harry she sees is as her next project, however December has been badly hurt in the past, hence her reluctance to belong to a single Master, that is the way she has always liked it, as its the best way to not get burned again, but as soon as she meets Harry all her reservations fly out of the window and she starts having feelings which she cant control, throughout the space of 5 weeks the lines between client and Master begin to get blurry and emotions get in the way, for both this is a challenge, for Harry is to regain his alpha power and forget about past transgressions in order to win the love of December and for her is to open up and give love a second chance in order to find true happiness. A great story of forgiveness and chances, wonderfully written, the BDSM scenes are well delivered and there are plenty of steamy moments, the dialogue is engaging, I liked the fact of having a one single story, even though this is a start of a series, its a standalone but next instalment will probably provide us with some insight into these characters, I cant wait to read more from Ms Kincaid.

Who says short stories can't have it all? Because this 154pg story is very convincing. I even have to say what kept me reading was how different the storyline was. It's a D/s relationship but in this case the Dom, Harry, has "forgotten" how to be Dominant. There's more to it but I'm not giving any spoilers out. December is the payed submissive hired to "help" Harry with his little problem. Strong, confidant, knows what she wants type woman and so full of sarcasm. Yes you're probably thinking exactly what went through my mind. I thought she was a sub?

This story will truly explain to you what power the submissive has over the relationship. I'm really pleased at how the author incorporated it all into the story. Where you can feel and understand what you are reading. There's this one scene (besides it being one #OvaryExplosionPantyWettingINeedAColdShower) that just leaves you at "Did I just read that?" And I'm sure you'll go back and re-read it (Guilty).

I don't think I need to explain myself anymore on why you should read this story. Look at my rating. Yes I also understand this is just my Opinion and we all have many. Not every story gives you a good blend of it all...romance, hurting, healing, steamy sexy times. This story doesn't give you any darkness or anything like that. No annoying cockblockers either. Some real interesting characters...Sheridan, Jeremy, Raphe, Bas. I'm interested on how the author is going to play out the rest of the series. The little bit I learned about the other characters was enough for me to want to keep reading it. I'm keeping my eyes open for more Twisted&Tied.

I received Five Weeks in December as an ARC through NetGalley.

Five Weeks in December is a BDSM novel staring December, the submissive, and Harry, the dominant. December is a professional submissive. She lives in LA but travels pretty much anywhere in the world to work with dominants that pay her for her submission. Harry is a broken man, who has spent the past two years trying to get over a loss so great he feels like he has no hope. Harry has given up everything. He doesn’t go into the playroom, he doesn’t visit his BDSM club, and he doesn’t do anything for his BDSM lifestyle anymore. Can December fix what is broken in Harry? Can Harry allow December into his home and into his arms? What will happen in the 5 weeks December is supposed to spend with Harry? Will December allow herself to fall for a client?

I really enjoyed Five Weeks in December. It had a different plot line than any other BDSM novel I have read, and trust that I have read a lot of them. The scenes between December and Harry very beautiful, not dark like some I have read. Harry was a very good Dom, and December was an excellent submissive.

I found that there could have been a bit more information on each of their backstories, but what was there is understandable. There was very little drama, but is this book I didn’t want drama.

I recommend this novel to anyone who likes to read novels containing light BDSM.

I look forward to the next book in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the ARC for my honest review.

After a recommendation from my girl on twitter (shout out to Yahaira woot woo), she told me to ask for the ARC for this book.

Meet December, she is a paid submissive (who knew there was such a thing). She’s is sweet, sassy and a little bratty, just want Harry needs. He is still devasted after the death of his last submissive. Yes, he is mourning her death, but more so, he is angry to find out how she died. SPOILER ALERT: She died going to meet another Dom. It has been almost two years since Harry has had a submissive, so when his friend Jeremy recommended the services of December, Harry could not pass it up.

December arrives with the hopes of helping Harry get over his loss. December loves fixing broken people (as her friend Sheridan would attest to). Who knew throughout her time with Harry, that her feelings for him would be more than Master and submissive. He’s sexy, funny and downright sexy in December’s opinion. But in her mind and heart, she cannot see a “future” with him because of her “professionalism”.

Harry pours his heart out to December, he breaks their arrangement so they can fall into a “real Dom/sub” relationship. December has her guard up, with good reason.

At the end things come together for December and Harry. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for more of Ms. Kincaid’s work. Thanks again to my girl Yaya for the recommendation.

I really enjoyed this book ...I was doubtful, but really enjoyed it. It was well written and kept you engaged through out the whole read. I did not feel lost and or rushed. It gave you insight into who these characters were and there hang ups and why. December is a professional submissive and she takes a job with Harry who has baggage all of his own. December is there to help him find himself after a very bad time in his life. The only problem there seems to be is the instant attraction from the moment he opens his front door. December is going to have to fight the insane attraction between them. The journey they make together is beautiful, but can December fight it off completely and does she really want to? This was a good read and a new to me author as well. I think I will be reading this series. All these hot, gorgeous, sexy Doms is a very much a Yes on my part!

I received this ARC from the author via Net Galley for my honest review.

This book had an intriguing premise. I am already looking forward to more from the series! The plot is as outlined above, but there is so much more to this story. I got a sense of tenderness and gentility. Blue Kincaid works with the pacing to help set her scenes, and it works really well. It kept me on my toes! The hero and heroine were multi dimensional, if flawed characters, but their potential for growth and change was obvious. The elements of erotica and BDSM were handled with dignity and passion. Again, I sensed tender4ness as the underlying layer. It was an excellent depiction of the spectrum of BDSM D/s. I so appreciated Blue Kincaid's voice and will definitely read more.

This was a very good book. Harry has lost his confidence in himself as a Dom after his fianceé left him for another Dom (you don't do that) and that's why he recruits December to help him. December, a professional submissive doesn't belong to one Master, she chooses that but she also has a heart for broken souls that's why she decides to help Harry. Only none of them anticipated their chemistry and how good they were for eachother.
I really liked the development of the story and the sexy scenes. There's bdsm, of course, and m/f/m action (hot!). The rating wasn't higher because it was very short and I didn't quite believe December's reason to be hesitant at the end but I enjoyed this one.

All in all this was a very sweet read. sweet, sensual read that is. It's about finding what was once lost. Becoming the happier person you once were.

Harry hast lost a lover in a tragic accident, due to this he has built walls around himself. With the help of December, he tries to go back to his old lifestyle he once loved having in his life.

Even for a sub, she is still very demanding, that's what's pretty unique in their relationship.

One thing is for sure, not meant to be for 18 and younger.
