Who's the Top Dog?Nobody realizes Ohkami Ichirou is an omega. At his high-class restaurant job, he poses as an alpha to advance his career and status. Everything is going smoothly until a new trainee, Oukami Ako, becomes a thorn in his side. When he tries to show her who's boss, she reveals she's secretly an alpha. If he doesn't submit to her will, his life will be ruined. One alpha proves she's on top in this spicy role-reversal omegaverse tale!
Ok so basically, he gets angry, rips off her clothes, films it and tries to r*pe her but she turns the tables on him, knocks him out (with her pheromones I assume. It was never really explained🤔) and proceeds to r*pe and film him instead , then things kind go from there.
A large part of the plot is smut and like all of it is based oh her blackmailing him with the video and the threat of exposing him as an omega to their employer. However, towards the end, they both seem to start having feelings for each other.... Kinda
I'm not sure what to rate this one tbh. Both of our MCs are red flags and their whole interaction/relationship (?) is messy. However, underneath it all there is an interesting story about how society treats omegas rather horribly and unfairly and how while being an alpha is seen as the best thing ever, the burdens that come with it are too much for some to bear
I somehow read most of this in public, and now I am no longer sane after reading this. Why was this published and who approved this being published? All it is, is basically SA in the beginning it literally said "major TW for rape." Like if that doesn't speak volumes about the author then I don't know what does. Finally, why was the art for this so damn good?😭😭😭
An unserious omegaverse but with a man Omega and woman alpha....
Has SA and other triggers so uhhh make sure you read them before starting this book.
However if you're used to how manga authors treat consent and sex well.... this was ok.. kinda smut with minimal plot.... I like reading about dominant women x submissive men so this was the reason I picked it up but uhhhh ya this isn't anything too serious but I liked it well enough to continue...
why do all manga with Dom fem x sub men have to be toxic bruh... I think I've only found one manga where it wasn't 😭
I have a love-hate relationship with this manga because it started off really really bad with an odd premise but then the MMC attempting to rape the FMC and the FMC actually raping the MMC and it's like wow that's a lot and that's always annoying but I guess that's just a given with these stupid ABO manga things? I don't know, it's just annoying and on top of that the fucking ABO stuff is so dumb and confusing and it's impossible to understand what the hell they're talking about with the bitching and the pheromones and DON'T get me started on the periods because I have literally no idea what she was talking about but yeah for the most part, have no idea what's going on, basically ever. But for the good parts, I do think it's getting kind of cute with the enemies to lovers and the softening up to each other and the dynamic they have and I really do enjoy the roles being reversed because it's just refreshing. I hate to say that I think a lot of it is really funny and I like how much they lean into the humor, though I do have to say the art seems pretty bad at times. It seems super rushed and messy and Akko's face looks really weird at times but I think I'm getting used to it. I do like that guy that keeps walking in on them having sex I think it's funny but also I really like the dynamic he has with Akko I think it's platonic?? and I really love male/female platonic relationships with like actual intimacy you know what I mean? Whatever I'm probably going to keep reading this because I have low standards
I have to say it was kinda bad at first, it all started with rape (which made me want to stop reading it cuz i don't like rape, and i also had a feeling it'll be just straight up porn with no actual feelings) but the more i continue, the more i see why they act like that, and it's not just "oh yeah, it's because of that, excused" the female lead actually forms a feeling towards the male lead, and the male lead is also slowly trusting the female lead, so it's basically "rape first before forming an actual love later on with actual healing and change" which i'm not sure whether they'll heal and be a better person for each other or not, but from the signs, i think they will
This is a rather twisted omegaverse story. While the base universe is standard for this type of tale with betas, alphas, and omegas of both the male and female variety, the main two characters are twisted in unique ways. We have the omega pretending to be an alpha to elevate his social standing and the alpha pretending to be an omega to lure out omegas and punish them rather harshly. Of course the two would end up in a rather strange if not somewhat unwilling relationship that neither one truly recognizes or will name at this stage. Neither one is a great character individually, so putting them together and with this type of universe is forced and challenging.

Umm. Idk. I liked the idea of it but the non con kinda made me go ugh. The ML is an omega hiding as an alpha and the FL is an alpha hiding as an omega. They each have a dislike for the other because of their secondary sex and it leads to assault/non-con/rape from both parties. It gets brushed aside with blackmail and on goes our story. There are other scenes that can be why our ML can’t stand Alphas but it’s not explained, well at least it yet and our FL alludes to her reasons here and there but nothing specific. Gonna see what vol 2 brings to make my call on whether to drop or not.

I need to know more about those girls personality. What in her past makes her hate Omega. It’s very evident on it and that he has trauma that he has not dealt with and in a sick way I think that she is teaching him to be better. But I also think that he’s showing his kind sides of himself to her. It’s definitely a Ying yang relationship between the two of them. I wish this wasn’t blackmail. And I hope by the third volumethat it is genuine interest from both parties.
I really wish people would look up info on books if they have particular triggers! I'm super excited to read this and knew full well the kind of content before getting my hands on it. I wish GoodReads would implement what StoryGraph has, user-agreed upon warning/trigger tags. I could see where that could be abused, but it's incredibly useful as well.
found an online version to skim as i wanted to know how female alphas function. Not especially clear but the gist is: this particular alpha wolfgirl is not wanting anyone, definitely not the omega wolfboy to consent. and that is the point of the story. So bored now. He might be interesting but she is the main character and everything is by her direction so I don't care.
Non consentual, very gross. I wish I could get rid of them. I tried to give it a chance, but getting halfway was hard enough on it's own. I wanted this to be a cute romance between an Female Alpha and Male Omega, but I was wrong.
I am a huge lover of the omegaverse but this, this right here was not good. I swear it was like everyone in here just wanted to rape each other. Scenes that were supposed to be steamy weren’t, there was no chemistry and 0 likable characters.
*єдиний (!) допустимий варіант гетного омегаверсу, до речі
щодо самої ж манґи, то це було відверто погано, на жаль. тупий сюжет, ще гірша манера оповіді, антипатичні г, місцями дуже потворна мальовка, а про атмосферу я взагалі мовчу — коротше кажучи, not a single redeeming quality in sight. бе
First glance concept was interesting, having me think okay cool a switch up where the girl is the alpha and the guy omega. Should be fun, right? WRONG.
