Drew Pratt was my worst nightmare... and now I’m fake dating him to boost my career.

Drew was my brother’s best friend.

I had a crush on him in high school.

So imagine my surprise when he shows up at my welcome-home party asking me to pretend to be his girlfriend to impress a client.

He has no clue how in love I was with him, and how much he hurt me with all his pranking and immaturity.

But when I agree to weekend away with him and things heat up, I’ll never be the same. I might be faking this forever if someone doesn’t convince me he’s bad for me.

How can something I’ve wanted for so long be bad?

But how can I forget how he used to treat me?

Drew is hot, but is he worth risking my heart again?

This was the first in the series. It was so good. Cici moved to New York after she finished college. She moved in with her brother Beck until her new place was ready. Cici and Beck were really close growing up. They lost their parents Beck was 7 and Cici was 1 so she didn’t really remember them. Cici had a welcome home party and Beck invited his best friend Drew. They always picked on Cici and pranked her quite often growing up. She always liked Drew. Turns out Drew liked her as well but he never acted on it because Beck told him to keep away from her like that. They each helped the other out with their jobs and both of them discovered the feelings never went away. I loved how it all played out. There were a lot of ups and downs.

Faking Forever is book one of the Illusions of Love Series.

Cici has grown up being tormented by her brother and his best friend, Drew. To say she has some hatred towards Drew, is stating it mildly. He really did a number on her. But deep down the reason for her pain is the fact she had a major crush on him. Now years later, Drew needs her help in order to get a client. They make an arrangement together to help each other out. However, the hatred behind the doors grows and grows until finally it combusts to some hot and spicy moments.

I got the hatred Cici was feeling. I would've been super annoyed with him as well for everything that happened in their past. He did have some moments of immaturity and kind of went hot and cold with her. He needed to work a bit on his communication, but overall they were eventually able to work well together.

Steamy Brother’s Best Friend Read!!

Cici grew up in the shadows of her brother, Beck and his best friend Drew. Because of them bugging her all through her childhood and adolescence, Cici is convinced that Drew doesn’t like her and she is very cautious around them. They end up coming to a mutually beneficial agreement, which puts them in each other’s circle. From the outside, it appears that they don’t like one another, but that is really a front for their true emotions. As they spend more and more time together, they can’t help but fall prey to their true emotions.

This book is a fun, contemporary read. I loved the quick moving story, and the chemistry between the characters was hot. This is my first read from this author, but definitely isn’t my last! Highly recommend this one!

I enjoyed the book and the characters! It was an easy and quick read. Read this one in one sitting. Didn’t want to put it down.

A playboy, girl in love with her best friend’s brother, and fake dating what’s not to love? Cici fought to try to keep her emotions and love of Drew buried for so long. Drew was always a playboy but found love in Cici and wanted more with her during their fake dating. Beck did everything he could to keep these two apart but love won in the end.

This is my first book I have read from Ovni Michaels but won’t be my last! Looking forward to Beck and Nev’s book.

I really liked reading this book, two people who have known each other most of there lifes, one had a crush on the other, but also got hurt with their actions. Need each others help further down the line , fake dating , what could possibly go wrong !?

So much happens in there story from trauma , hurt, spice, drama, misunderstandings and so much more it's action packed. It's a crazy rollercoaster ride. Great characters, storyline and plot.

This is my first time reading from this author and I can't wait to read more. Great start. Highly recommend.

I liked this! She's a new to me author & this is Cici & Drew's story. They've known each other a long time & she's always had a crush on him; but his past behavior puts him in the "don't trust" category.
But when they find that they both need help work-wise they decide to fake date. There's a lot going on in the background here, a lot of angst & misunderstandings. Loved the spice & the storyline. Recommend this book & author!

Here's another great, super easy and entertaining read from Ovni Michaels and the first in a new series, Illusions of Love. I absolutely fell in love with CiCi - she is so relatable but I must admit that my feelings towards Beck and Drew are complicated to say the least, but I imagine that's what makes CiCi so loveable and real. The storyline is full of angst, drama, trauma, and spice that'll draw you for more. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in this series!!

Lovely read. Usual enemies to lovers trope with some standard office romance faux pas. Some emotional baggage and reminiscing takes place and low and behold Drew realises he has feelings. Cici’s character is a lot more straightforward and the lead onto the next instalment was clever.

This is the first book in this series, and this is Drew and CiCi’s story.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, enemies / lovers, drama, fake relationships, forbidden romance, undeniable chemistry, and is an entertaining and compelling page turner.

Overall I enjoyed the book. It was a quick easy read. Kinda a bully/ enemies to lovers mix and throw in brothers best friend. I liked that Liv didn't give into Drew right away but in the end they were able to work things out

Good love story. Cici loved Drew for a long time but her brother and him did a lot of crazy things to her when she was younger. But Drew needs a fake girlfriend for a new client and asks her to do. She agrees. This is a cute hot sexy read. Loved it

Grayson Thome...That name makes Liv want to get violent,

Grayson is egotistical and manipulative the typical wealthy playboy who has his own selfish intentions who intentionally hurt Liv's best friend really really badly and now he has his sights set on Liv and he keeps asking her out.

Making matters worse, Liv's trying to launch a new and innovative dating app that pairs people with their perfect match based on a very specific algorithm that she created with her partners, and Grayson's name is at the top of her list of “perfect matches”.

Liv's test groups have been loving the new app, but her board is insisting that no one is going to download or subscribe if the CEO can't even land a man.

Liv is perfectly happy with her single life, but her investors are starting to back out, so she decides that she has to do something drastic. Date Grayson Thorne.

They are fake dating of course. But Grayson's affection seems genuine, even when Liv gets really frustrated with him.

She can't tell or decide if he's actually being sincere or if he's just good at making women swoon for him, but Liv is starting to believe she might have been wrong about him being a total waste of space.

And then everything comes crashing down around Grayson.

Grayson has this idea that he can use Liv to steal her company's data. Liv's not going to let that happen, not this time. His fake dating game is weak. And it's a game he's going to lose.

Or maybe Liv's going to lose...she can't tell just yet. Do you win even if your heart is broken?

Faking Forever is the 4th book in the Illusions of Love by Ovni Michaels. This is the first book by Ovni Michaels that I have read and I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it. There are times when I get nervous reading a new author because I am not sure what I am going to think of the author's writing style or the story that they have created.

I found that Ovni has created a story that has a well-crafted plot, and sub-plot that leads into a strong storyline with a well-defined story arc. There is depth to the story that adds beauty to the story.

I loved the characters of Grayson and Liv. They are well defined with arcs that are well developed and both Grayson and Liv change and grow throughout the book. They each have their own personalities and they both have their own strengths and weaknesses that make them feel real. And I loved the way that their relationship started out as a fake dating agreement that evolved over time into something new and different and that was really enjoyable to read.

This was such an enjoyable book to read and I really enjoy Ovni's writing style. I highly recommend this book and I would recommend anything written by Ovni Michaels.
