I've loved all the visits to The Coffee Loft series and this was no exception. Cassie was such a stickler for plans and lists, her job as an events planner relies upon it. Working from her best friend's coffee shop, she encounters Ryan, a new cop in town, complete with K9 companion Max.
Assigned to work together on the Fall Festival that Cassie is planning and Ryan is in charge of security for, they start spending more time together. When Ryan's partner hears Ryan needs a place to stay, he casually suggests the house next door to Cassie and they end up spending even more time together.
I loved Cassie, she was dedicated to her work but so shy and sweet, and never been kissed. Could Ryan be the one to help her out with that dilemma? You bet he could. He's a cinnamon roll hero, leaving the big city for a quieter pace. He's quickly adopted into the small town and boy does he plan the best dates for him and Cassie. It's no wonder she's captivated so quickly.
Max stole every scene he was in, such a sweet boy.
Espresso Your Love is an engaging, never been kissed, heartwarming romance! I love Cassie, the event planner, Ryan, the K-9 officer and Max, the K-9! Ryan plans the very best dates. It is interesting that both main characters quote the Gilmore Girls! I loved watching Cassie and Ryan admit their attraction while planning for the fall festival, their witty banter and I could not put the book down! Most readers will enjoy this swoony, well written book.
Expresso Your Love is a delightful romance that follows the charming journey of Cassie and Ryan. Their story begins with a meet-cute at the Coffee Loft on Ryan’s first day in town, and from that moment on, fate keeps bringing them together. The book beautifully captures the essence of small-town living. As a bonus, the hilarious references to Gilmore Girls added a fun touch for anyone familiar with the series!
Plot Overview: The plot is refreshingly simple yet engaging. Cassie and Ryan are irresistibly drawn to each other, but they must navigate their own personal challenges before they can truly be together. The blend of light drama and a satisfying happily ever after makes it a perfect quick read.
Character Highlights: - Cassie: I loved her character arc! She's initially hesitant about relationships due to insecurities and fear of disappointment. Her journey is relatable, making her a fun character to root for.
- Ryan: He might seem confident at first glance, but beneath that exterior lies a struggle with fear of failure—especially in his demanding career.
- Max: He was so cute!
The supporting characters are equally enjoyable, offering great advice and adding warmth to the story.
Final Thoughts: Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Expresso Your Love. It’s perfect for anyone who loves sweet small-town romances with relatable characters and a heartwarming conclusion. I highly recommend it!
"Hey, big brother. How’s the first day in Stars Hollow? It’s Meadowbrook, Sadie. It was a Gilmore Girls reference. You should know that.”

Espresso your Love by Bella Greene Well Espresso Your Love I can’t help but want more of this sublime book by Bella Greene , you’d know what I mean when you read for yourself. It’s really top shelf ! No not in that way , just that it’s a great story of love and friendship and the relationship between a cop and a barista , she’s his and he’s her mister. Ryan is a cop who hails from the big city , he’s just moved to the small town of Meadowbrook where he is swiftly put in charge of security and looking for crooks at the Autumn Festival . Cassie is the organiser and when he happens to go upstairs in the Coffee Loft with his K9 Max, he sees her working . He can’t help but introduce himself , she’s the town’s event planner. Her lack lustre busy-ness is a hoot , pretending to type to boot.. Anybody’d think she had never seen such a hottie , if he saw her text he’d think she was potty because it’s all out of context and like she’d fallen asleep on her keyboard. That’s what his presence has done , made her all untoward and feeling faint. When he lets on that he’s in need of a place to live after a goat incident ,she’s thinking thank you goat , he’s heaven sent. Living next door ! Her hearts all a roar… He ends up working at her event too, but she’s insecure and he’s vulnerable too. What we going to do with these two? Good thing there’s more than enough small town gossip and a shove at the right place and time , not to mention meddling at its best . Well it’s not a crime to get officer Ryan ready for a kiss now is it? Cassie can protest until they’re done pleading but her friends and meddlers know who she’s needing.
A Beautifully Heartwarming Romance That Leaves You Smiling!
"Espresso Your Love" by Bella Greene is the perfect autumn romance with a wonderful balance of charm and depth, in a heartwarming small-town setting.
The dynamic between the lead characters—her structured, meticulous personality contrasting with his rugged and protective demeanor—adds an intriguing mix.
The theme of first love is heartfelt .The touch of her never having been kissed, and his patience, creates that sweet, slow-burn feeling throughout the story. The relationship that develops between them is pure magic.
Cassie, a meticulous organizer of the town’s Autumn Festival, is thrown off-balance by Ryan, the rugged K9 cop next door, who’s strong and impossibly captivating.
Ryan’s moment of vulnerability with Cassie at the Coffee Loft adds a touching layer to their connection and is a deeply moving moment, bringing a whole new depth to his character and to their relationship.
With no profanity and a sweet, fulfilling conclusion, "Espresso Your Love" is a cozy, feel-good read that leaves you smiling long after the final page. If you’re looking for a romance that’s both heartwarming and sincere, this book is a must-read!

Oh my, these Coffee Loft books are just perfect for your fall to be read pile. This one is just the right length with a sweet romance and great characters.
Cassie is an event planner who is planning the Autumn Festival for the town of Meadowbrook. She is minding her own business working on her laptop at The Coffee Loft when Ryan visits her table. She is so shook up that she finds herself staring, maybe even drooling a little bit. This is the perfect meet cute.
Ryan is the newest member of the police department, along with his K-9 Max. When Cassie finds that she will be working directly with Ryan at the festival, she is crushing on him from afar. She is way too shy to voice her feelings. She is so sweet, and to make this romance even more delectable, Cassie has never been kissed. Ryan could be her first kiss.
I loved this book. Their first date was beyond swoony. Max could give lessons to other men on how to steal a woman's heart by helping them plan dates that will sweep a woman off their feet. This book was all fun and will put you in the mood for lattes and blankets. This is the last installment for The Coffee Loft (at least for now), and I think it definitely went out on a high note. I am even smiling as I write this review.
I loved all of the references to Gilmore Girls, which made this book even more fun to read.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Another week, another cozy Fall novella for my “Read” list!! 😍☕️🍁🚓🐶
Thank you @bellagreeneauthor for the ARC!! ❤️ Espresso Your Love is one of 14 cozy novellas in the Coffee Loft series. All written by different authors, these stories all involve a chain of cozy coffee shops, called The Coffee Loft. I’m not a coffee drinker myself, but this novella felt like snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate all the same 🥰
Cassie Thompson is scrambling to get everything in order for the Meadowbrook Harvest Festival. She’s been put in charge of planning the long-awaited event, and she’s determined for everything to flow without a hitch.
Ryan Hayes, along with his K-9 partner, Max, are new in town. He’s felt the need to get out of the big city, and he’s immediately amused by Cassie as they small-talk over cups of coffee. He ends up being assigned security detail at the Harvest Festival, and the two work together to make it a success.
Meanwhile, sparks are undeniably flying. Both learn to put aside their fears and jump into love with both feet, and find it is so worth it. ❤️
This was a super cute story! Wholesome, sweet, and so very cozy. The dates that Ryan planned for Cassie were pure ✨swoon✨😍 It also had the hilarious small-town vibes, with old ladies who like to gossip snd a community that sticks together like glue. Ryan was new to the community, but he was quickly adopted in and became as protective of Cassie as everyone else was. So sweet ❤️🚓
Cassie is the owner of a successful event planning business. Although she makes her own schedules, the job seems to require continuous work. Her barista best friend Ashley fortunately keeps her going on her busy schedule. They are opposites in so many ways, but the two cherish their perfect friendship. The coffee shop Audrey’s family owns has a second story most customers ignore, and that is where Cassie hangs out while she works. The local bakery also delivers fresh donuts, so she’s set to begin work as the town’s event planner on Meadowbrook’s Autumn Festival! A shadow makes her look up as a tall man with tons of muscles stands over her and asks if he can sit at her work table. A German Shepherd lays on the floor beside his chair.
This is the start of a fun, adorable love story the author brings to us. The characters are very likable, and the story’s pacing is perfect. Not only does Cassie get assigned K-9 cop Ryan Hayes and his dog, Max, to work as her security experts, but he moves in next door so she really can’t avoid him. He’s the perfect guy to fall for, but Cassie’s all-business focus and lack of dating experience may lead to a humorous, rocky beginning. Grab your copy and join the fun! You won’t regret it!
Espresso Your Love is part of The Coffee Loft: Fall Collection. This is a multi-author series with each book featuring a Coffee Loft shop and can all be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.
This was such a cute addition to the Coffee Loft series! Ryan is a big city cop who has just moved to the small town of Meadowbrook, where he's put in charge of security for the Autumn Festival that Cassie is in charge of organizing... oh, and they also happen to be new neighbors! The two have a really sweet chemistry and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop throughout the story. I'll admit, I'm often a little uncertain what to expect from a 'never been kissed' story... but I thought this one was done really well. I loved how sweet Ryan was with her. This definitely had all the fall and smalltown vibes--- in fact it had a very Gilmore Girls feel to it... which is appropriate with the several references made to the show throughout! Throw in some animal antics and there was so much to enjoy in this sweet story.
Espresso Your Love is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for review. All opinions are my own.
When In Espresso Your Love by Bella Greene Cassie meets Ryan in a Coffee Loft Shop there is an immediate attraction. She is a planner for an event and he is the new handsome cop in town in charge of security with the help of his cute dog.
This was such a sweet story. I loved Cassie, she is determined to make a good job of the event and want to meet The One. Ryan is a lovely character and he moved from the big city to a charming small town. Both are very likable and just belong together. They have a sweet chemistry and are both a bit hesitant to start a relationship.
The setting of the small town is down very well and I just loved the Gilmore Girls references. As Cassie and Ryan I too love this show and it gave my all the feels, as well as Hallmark vibes. The walks around town made that I could see it all in my mind.
The writing is flowing and it is a really relaxing read.
Espresso Your Love is a cute and sweet romance story with two very likable characters, a cute dog, a nice writing style and a very picturesque setting, with romance, humor, and all the feels. It is a story I enjoyed a lot.
Am I sad the Coffee Loft series is ending and won't be constantly bringing couples together now? Absolutely! 😭 But what a sweet ending to the series, as event planner, Cassie, and new-to-town cop, Ryan, find love at the Coffee Loft! We get a relatively smooth road to HEA in this story, even though both MCs' previous experiences (or inexperience?!) briefly gets in the way. With a dual POV, we get to know how much they like each other from the very beginning. It's a realistic love-at-first-sight story without the trappings that can make a story lose its way in syrupy sweetness, where there is legimate chemistry and connection over shared interests.
This story was adorable, especially with the addition of police dog, Max, and a lovely, low angst way to wrap up. I really adore the good guy in a story, and Bella gives us a really caring and gentlemanly MMC in Ryan.
Don't forget to check out all the books in the Winter and Fall seasons of The Coffee Loft! Each can be read as a standalone story, so pick one and go for it!
I received a complimentary copy of the author's story to read and review. All thoughts contained here are my own.
Ryan and Cassie bring you one amazing story. I absolutely loved this couple so very much. I have read every single book in the Coffee Loft series this season and I will say that this one is my favorite. Cassie's life is all about the Autumn Festival right now. She is putting her nose to the grindstone to make sure this festival is perfect. She doesn't have time for love or a relationship. But Ryan and his K9 Max could change all that if given the chance? The instant these two meet there is some major sparks between them. But Ryan and Cassie are not looking for a relationship. Cassie is all about work and Ryan is trying to find his feet at his new job in the peaceful quiet town. But between the coffee loft, friends that meddle and fate things will definitely change between these two. But will Ryan be able to overcome the past and give Cassie a chance?
I absolutely loved each and every moment of this storyline. I was laughing, I was crying, I was swooning and cheering. This was a book that I just could not put down. I had to know what was going to happen between Ryan and Cassie. Highly recommend reading this one if you don't read any other ones in the Coffee Loft series.
Another visit to the Coffee Loft in this book we meet Cassie and Ryan. Cassie enjoys her job and now taking on even more responsibilities with the christmas festival she determined to give it her all. She's so focused on proving herself not letting her mind waiver to anything but what's important the festival. Ryan is taking up his new position in the police department after leaving the city behind looking for a quieter lifestyle. When he goes upstairs in the Coffee Loft with his K9 dog he sees the lovely woman working and can't help but introduce himself. When his rental falls through due to a goat infestation he ends up moving next door to her. Can Cassie and Ryan become more than neighbours or will her tunnel vision and work prove to much orcwill past secrets spoil any chance of romance. Yet another great addition to the fall series, the characters are typical small-town gossip mongers and matchmakers but they mean well. It's another to add to your tbr list I'm sure you'll love it ❤️☕️📖🐐❤️
Espresso Your Love is the first book I have read written by Bella Greene and I am so excited to read some more. It was an easy read, and once I started, I could not put it down. It was the perfect hallmark styled book.
The character development was good. I enjoyed getting to know Ryan and Cassie. Peeling back the layers to find out what makes them think.
The storyline and setting were cute. I loved the Stars Hollow type vibes. Small town, coffee shop, and a swoon worthy romance.
The romance between Ryan and Cassie is so cute. I love the falling in love but dealing with past hurts. It truly is the perfect closed-door romance. Which I appreciate when things are clean and not over the top.
This is not a Christian book, so there is no faith element. Though it is super clean. I feel ok recommending this to my fellow Christian readers if you are looking for a clean romance heavy on the hallmark and Gilmore girls.
*I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.
OMG this book was amazing! Bella Greene brewed up the perfect book to finish this series. Ryan is new to Meadowbrook and goes to The Coffee Loft to grab coffee and ends up sitting down next to Cassie. He introduces himself and his German Shepherd dog named Max. Little do they know they will end up getting to know each other well. Ryan is the new Police Officer and Cassie is the Event Planner for the Fall Festival. I loved getting to know these characters and watching these two get to know each other. Ashley is a great side character that you will love as well. She is Cassie's best friend and works at The Coffee Loft. I absolutely fell in love with all of the Gilmore Girl references. I love that show and this definitely gave me those vibes as well. The story and characters are well written and enjoyable. I loved everything about this book and didn't want it to end. This book will have you laughing, swooning and smiling throughout. I would HIGHLY recommend this book.
Thank you Belle Greene for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
This addition to the Coffee Loft books will make you smile. Cassie is an event planner and single minded when it comes to her business, That is especially true this time because she has been tasked with putting together the town's Autumn Festival which would help her business grow. Her best friend since Grammar school, Ashley is the barista at the Coffee Loft which her parents first opened. A place to hang out and relax. Ashley is a great best friend and is constantly trying to get Cassie to date. She's never even been kissed! Enter Ryan a police officer who has recently joined the Meadowbrook Police Department with his canine Max. When he entered the Coffee Loft, he went up to the loft and saw Cassie there busy on her computer. This was their first meeting and the town gossipers love that they met. This is a really great Coffee Loft book and I totally recommend this book as well as any Coffee Loft book! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
I can’t even espresso how much I loved this book! A small quirky town romance with no spice!
City boy Ryan needs a change of scenery after a close call at his police officer job leaving him with some wounds not visible to the human eye. He moves to Meadowbrook where he meets lifetime resident Cassie that makes him feel things he’s never felt.
Cassie a 30 year old with limited romantic experience has never even been kissed! When she meets the handsome Ryan she’s immediately interested. However she determines she doesn’t want a distraction with everything going on.
But when put to the test will their romance survive? Or will it expire before it even has a chance to grow?!
If you love ☕️Small quirky town 🚨Insta love ☕️sweet romance 🚨Gilmore Girls ☕️overcoming fear This is the read for you!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I swear I was smiling the whole way through this book. If ever you want to read a “feel good“ book, this is it Cassie is a Small Town Girl, who, at the age of 30, has never been kissed. Enter the new town cop, Officer Ryan Hayes. They meet at the towns coffee loft, which is owned by Cassie‘s best friends family and Cassie tends to do a lot of her event planning while downing a variety of fall flavored coffees. Cassie is working upstairs in the loft when Ryan, along with his dog Max, asks if it’s OK to join her. The rest is history. They are attracted to each other from the very beginning, but both are afraid to do anything about it. You definitely want to read this book and find out how they overcome the obstacles in their lives which keep them apart. Incredibly charming and very witty from beginning to end. A five star read and I look forward to reading the next book by this author!
A sweet story of finding love when you’re not looking for it Such a sweet story of two people trying to live their best life suddenly seeing that life could be more. Forcing them to face their fears and their pasts. Cassie is an event planner who’s career is just taking off and she has no time for romance, she has a Fall Festival to plan. When Ryan walks into the Coffee Loft with his dog, things start to change. Ryan has just moved from the big city to a small town in hopes of a new, calmer setting. When he sees Cassie and decides to set across from her, he has no idea of the path he has started down. A path that will have him examining his past and what he wants for his future, as she starts her own self-examination all mixed with plenty of fun, misunderstandings, and a sweet dog. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
Is a sweet clean small town, close proximity, Off-Limits, romantic comedy with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like ---- “I’m not getting any younger. Spill the coffee beans!” ---- “So arresting chicken…is that an everyday occurrence?” -- “I mean, we attempt negotiation but if that doesn’t work…” ---- I run into people when I can see. What did you expect when I’m blind-folded?” ---“Some -times you need to take risks in life, Cassie. You never know until you try.” ---- "you can’t let fear stop you from living and loving. You can’t let it make decisions for you." ---- What's Ms. Abrams up to? What's Ashley up to? What's Mitchell up to? These and other questions will all be answered. I loved Cassie and Ryan's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and can't wait to read her next book.,
Bella Greene is a new author to me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Clean and wholesome is not what I typically read; however, this story is so endearing. The story actually reads like a Hallmark movie. The hero is the new guy in town who happens to be a cop. The heroine is an event planner working hard to make the small-town fall festival a success. Both are waiting for the perfect person to be sent to them by fate and it just so happens that fate was on their side. The story is a quick read, its super sweet, with zero spice. It was a breath of fresh air and in my opinion highlighted the benefits of a small town and waiting for the right person to come into your life and give you the happily-ever-after.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cassie and Ryan's story is like being engulfed in a warm hug! I LOVED it so much! Ryan and his K-9 partner Max are new to the small cozy town of Meadowbrook. Before his first day he stops in at the Coffee Loft and meets event planner Cassie working upstairs in the loft. After an awkward but memorable first meeting, these two keep getting thrown together by well meaning townsfolk as Cassie is in charge of the fall festival and Ryan gets put in charge of security for it. Sweetness, nosy townsfolk, a random chicken, a goat mishap, self consciousness, swoon worthy dates, along with a 30 year secret of Cassie's, and so much more make this a must read that you won't be able to put down! It was a terrific read that had me laughing out loud and cheering these two on!
- Sweet romance - Small town romance - Gilmore Girls vibes - He falls first
Oh, how I loved this sweet autumn romance! The small town of Meadowbrook has a new resident - handsome officer Ryan Hayes. He is ready for the slower pace of a small town. What he isn't expecting is all the quirky calls he'll get (think goat-astrophe!). Or the stunningly beautiful event planner Cassie, whom he meets at the Coffee Loft.
Cassie is instantly attracted to Ryan, but she is a bit reluctant to begin a relationship since she is very inexperienced. But luckily her best friend Ashley convinces her to follow her heart. But the road to love isn't an easy one as Ryan has some issues he has to deal with as well...
Such a cute story! I was absolutely smitten by Ryan and his dog Max.
It's the last of this season's Coffee Loft series. Seriously friends, this had the perfect small town Stars Hollow vibes going on and I was here for it. Ryan is sweet and funny, plus he has the adorable Max. He is smitten the minute he meets Cassie and she won't admit it, but she is too. She has her best friend Ashley (think Sookie) pushing and cheering her on...and making her try all the fun coffee loft specials. Everyone in the book is so lovable and I love how Ryan and Cassie both have to find themselves to create true happiness.
"Love finds you when you least expect it, isn't that what they say? So I'll just not expect it, and if it happens, then so be it."
"This is my chance--she said only if a police officer pulls her over. It must be my lucky day."

My life is all about schedules, spreadsheets, and planning the perfect Autumn Festival. There’s no time for dating, especially not Ryan, the rugged new K9 cop in our small town. Ryan ends up being my head of security on this important event. I should keep things professional, but the way he looks at me makes me want to toss my plans aside. He’s protective and patient, and did I mention…he just moved in next door? Letting him in might just brew up trouble I’m not ready for. I’ve never been kissed, but if I let Ryan past my walls, this could be the love I’ve only read about—or the heartbreak I’ve always feared.
Thanks to the author for the arc to read and review for an honest opinion.
This book starts with a really sweet meet cute for Cassie and Ryan. And Max I suppose. :)
Meadowbrook is the quintessential small town, and Ryan is the new cop on the block, with his K9 partner, Max. Cassie is an event planner, in charge of the local Autumn Festival. Bella Greene's plot line to bring these two together was fresh, and entertaining, and a brilliant way to get the characters to work together, as well as to allow their friendship and relationship to grow.
This was a really fun and cosy read, and a great addition to the Coffee Loft Series Fall Collection.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Espresso Your Love by Bella Greene is a clean, sweet, small town, Fall romance! This is part of the Coffee Loft Series and is Ryan & Cassie's story. Ryan is a K-9 officer and Cassie is the town's event planner, working together on the Fall Festival & security.
Their chemistry is amazing and their banter amusing. Fate keeps intervening and Ryan & Cassie continue to get closer. Cassie has never been kissed, will Ryan change that?
This story is an easy, fun read. Loved the characters and enjoyed watching their relationship grow. Let's not forget Max...he stole quite a few of the scenes. Espresso Your Love is an entertaining book that definitely gives Fall vibes.
Thank you Bella for a job well done, I truly recommend!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Espresso Your Love is a sweet stand-alone within the lovely Coffee Loft Series: Fall collection. Each book can be read individually and in any order.
Cassie is busy planning the Fall Festival but when she sees Ryan in the Coffee Loft she cannot concentrate on anything else. Then she discovers he’s her new neighbour. These characters are total opposites, he appears so confident whilst she is a complete innocent but proximity and banter can work magic .. with some help from the very handsome and polite Max, who is a total scene stealer.
This is a lovely seasonal romance with a hea. I enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
