Rosa Lee lives in a sleepy Wiltshire village, surrounded by the beautiful English countryside and the sound of British Army tanks firing in the background (it’s worth the noise for the uniformed dads in the local supermarket and doing the school run!).

Rosa loves writing dark and delicious whychoose romance, and has so many ideas trying to burst out that she can often be found making a note of them as soon as one of her three womb monsters wakes her up. She believes in silver linings and fairytale endings...you know, where the villains claim the Princess for their own, tying her up and destroying the world for her.

Oh my sweet heaven. This entire story had me wrapped in its claws the entire time. The ending of the second had me sobbing and this book was everything this group needed. It broke me and put me back together, by the end I was cheering for murder. I absolutely devoured this book in two days and god I need to own these books like yesterday. If you want to have a complex, heart warming, gut-renching ride of a story about a found family, this series is for you. Rosa knocked out of the fucking park hardcore. Please for the love everything, if this series is on your TBR, bump it up asap. It's so worth it.

These people are having sex CONSTANTLY! And it’s not even sexy. Like what are we doing here?! Stop it! Put your clothes back on people! It actually interferes with the plot. Like we have to run for our lives, but first, we simply must have sex! It was so annoying! I couldn’t take it anymore.

The only reason I have gotten through the first two books to this point is because I wanted to know how it ends. I no longer feel that impulse. After realizing that if the majority of sex scenes were taken out, this could have literally been one book. I mean give me a break!

Don’t do it. Don’t start the series! Run away!

I finally finished the Shadowmen series and boy was it a journey! I absolutely love Rosa’s writing. I just love the possessiveness these guys have over Iris and each other! They will stop at nothing to protect her and again… each other. I don’t want to spoil anything so all I will say is, if you have been waiting for book 3, then you will not be disappointed! If you are new to this series, prepare to read the entire thing in one go. I promise you will be flying through all 3 books so quick because you won’t be able to put them down!

Heart wrenching moments!
This is not a plain sailing happy ever after for this family, they have so many ups and downs to work through 😳 there’s plenty I of action happening with the almost cat and mouse trail between these guys and Sergei, although they’re movements all seemed to happen in two weeks/couple of weeks time made it feel less authentic at times.
You really see them come together as a unit in this book 🥰 they have some deep chats and understand where the other is coming from, it’s heartwarming to see Nicky come into the fold and the development of his relationships! Some hot group scenes occurring 🔥I struggled with the constant use of pet names (esp daddy - maybe cause it’s juts not my thing) just felt OTT at times. It was good to see a representation of pregnancy that wasn’t all glowing and straightforward! Although the guys doing everything they can to help was sweet ☺️
The biggest heartbreak was the loss of a semi main character, reading the authors note I understand why it was done but yikes that one hit hard and I struggled with it 😭
For me a little more understanding of why Sergei was so obsessed with Lily would have given a bit more insight into the story but other than that a satisfactory end to this trilogy!

Nope, not for me. I only read all 3 books in this series due to the cliffhangers at the end of books 1 & 2 and because I liked Ronan's character.
Book 3, Bubby was my favourite, shame he died but reading the authors note at the end, it was a very lovely reason why.
Rowan's psychotic behaviour made me like him more than Ronan in this book, made me smirk a few times, too.
There's not much to say on Nik or Hunter characters, only that I loved Hunter's nickname for Iris - Peaches 🥰
Iris... nothing about the FMC I liked. Could. Not. Stand. Her!!

One of my several notes through this book:
This book in a nutshell....
Cringe
Sex
Sickening love declarations 🤢
Sex
Eat
Sex
Overwhelming neediness from Iris 🤬
Sex
Repeat

I actually only read the last paragraph of chapter 39 as I was sooooo done with yet another sex scene.

The emotional devastation continues in the conclusion of Iris's story. Owned by Shadows was almost as heart-wrenching as Claimed by Shadows. This was an emotional roller coaster from beginning to the very end.

Iris, Rowan, Roman, Hunt, and Nik have not gotten a break. Sergi Petrov won't stop until he has Iris again and destroys the Shadows and Nik. Iris becomes more vulnerable as her pregnancy progresses and her men become even more protective. The only choice they have to protect the family they have created is to get rid of Sergi and have Nik become the leader of the Bratva.

I love watching violent morally grey men become cinnamon rolls for their love interests. They are in constant danger, sometimes fighting for their lives, and they will melt for Iris and do whatever they can to keep her happy and safe.

The final book in The Shadowmen Trilogy didn't disappoint! I ugly cried for a good 30 minutes with those last few chapters. The Authors note made it worse 😭😭. I was full of anxiety through this entire book, but it was all worth it. I truly can't even put to words a good enough review for this final book. It was just.. everything. This series has/had me in a complete chokehold, and it couldn't have ended any better. I can't wait to read Rosa's next installment, The Fallen. We got to meet those 3 guys throughout this series, and I just KNOW it's going to be amazing. Well, that's a wrap, guys! Please check your TW before you dive into this AMAZING series!

Arc review- this was an absolutely perfect ending to the shadow series, but also completely heartbreaking. I am so grateful for the authors note to provide more insight to my devastation but I was not prepared and I cried so much. I hate to see how much the whole gang had to go through but to come out the other side stronger was such a great ride.

Why choose, force proximity and found family

One of my favourite series of all time.

Please check your trigger warnings before reading this book

Rosa lee you have done it again I absolutely loved every single page of this book - yes including the start of the book after the ending of book 2

This book starts straight after the cliffhanger of book 2 so make sure you are up to date with the ending
It was an emotional roller-coaster from start to finish with tears then happiness in the next breath.

I read this book in 48 hours could have done it sooner but wanted to enjoy every page
I was lucky enough to be an arc reader for both book 2 and this book and so absolutely lucky and grateful.

The ending had me in tears after everything that they have been through. There was a happy ever after In the end.

Anything that Rosa lee writes I read and will never stop recommending

Thankyou Rosa lee for an amazing book.

This was a roller coaster of emotions for me. So many things happen in this last book of the Shadowmen trilogy. These characters gripped me from page one of Kissed By Shadows and I’m so glad to have gone on this journey with them. I cried with them, I smiled with them and I can’t be happier with their ending. Rosa has written another beautiful and emotionally charged series!

The author does us dirty in this book.
There’s a lot of running away from sergi the Russian bearcat leader who finds out that iris is pregnant with his baby after he spent three weeks raping her. One of her four men is Nikolai who is Sergei’s son. But Sergei is a rotten shit so they plan to kill him off.
They enlist the help of alexei and his guys, one of which happens to be a cousin of the twins Rowan and Roman. And then there’s Hunter who is a gangster too but he’s clearly the main dom in the family because he has his way with everyone but Rowan. Rowan will only do iris. The rest of them all do each other. Nikolai falls in love with all of them.
He has shot Rowan in the last book and everyone thought Rowan was dead and Nikolai went back to be a Russian overlord with his dad.
Iris comes down with the preeclampsia and andrej takes care of her. Along with bubby the teenager who is like the little brother everyone wanted.
There’s a lot of continent hopping because sergi knows what’s up. Finally they stage a coup for New Year’s Eve but shit gets moved up to Christmas. They all storm daddy’s castle in London. Iris has the baby during the struggle. Nikolai kills his father with Alexis help. The boys all survive and then bake we kill of bubby and fuck this author for doing that.
At the end of the book she describes that bubby was based on a real 14 year old boy who died of a drug overdose but in the story she makes him a hero that gave his life to save iris and the baby. But still, fuck this author for killing him off.
Everyone in the book refers to Hunter as “daddy” which is icky. There’s a lot of DP and sword crossing but ya know, good for them.

Actually soooooo bad. The nicknames got to be absolutely too cringy. The first 50% of the book could’ve been 100 pages MAX. And don’t even get me started on the ending. The entire build up, 3 book story line for it to come to a ONE PAGE CONCLUSION? Terrible.

And justice for you know who !!!!!!!

MY HEART!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 This series... Never would I have imagined that a plotline so spicy would also create some extremely emotional and deep characters. This mafia trope carried a very different vibe than others I've read, but I enjoyed its tone heavily. I think as far as a final book, it did really well in closing all of its opened doors that it has been unlocking as we travel through all the pages collectively. I would say that out of the three, this is the slowest book, but for good reason. There was a lot of deep character building in this plot and that made it feel like the progression of the serious situations our characters were facing had hit a limbo, and we were simply bouncing between deep emotional realizations for each of our characters as individuals along side their building interconnected relationships between them all including past traumas, being open to giving and receiving love, healing, and non stop..... spicy scenes. And I mean non-stop.

As we continue on with Iris and all of her men, we find ourselves feeling as trapped as she does in the nonstop unknowing of when Sergi will pounce as her condition escalates and Nik and the Shadowmen try to figure out a lasting solution to finally stopping the Bratva King who will not stop until he destroys or owns them all. We spend a lot of time within the minds of every character bouncing between all the dual perspectives and become intimately aware of so many real fears and traumas everyone is trying to navigate alongside the endless danger tightening its grip. Its clear that as they all work through those things, they also start realizing how much stronger their ties to one another are making them as a whole. It's a final story of more than just taking on the leader of the Bratva but truly finding yourself within those who truly love you and how overall that will prevail if you stay true to your moral code and stay true to those who really have your back for who you are at your core. The power of found family versus poisonous bloodlines. More than once we find ourselves wrapped up in an emotional grieving session of each character as they purge the pain of their pasts caused by others, and replace it with the love and strength their new soul mates bring them. Relationships deepen and expand and so much happens between everyone on top of the encroaching fight we know will happen to finally settle the score between Sergi and Nik who now creeps more in the Shadows with Hunt and the Twins and he isn't happy about it.

It took a journey to reach our final climax, and although it wasn't as dramatic or intense really as I thought it would be, the ending left me emotionally spent. Deeply. If or when you reach the end of this series, you will know why. My heart knew it. I kept repeating it over and over in my mind, but still, the reality of it hit me so hard I just sat and sobbed. It was a hard process... I'm still processing. The entire experience of this final book really hits home at the end. All of a sudden you realize how deep you have fallen into all of these characters and how they all in the end became so vulnerable before one another to truly fall back together stronger and I definitely felt it.

Alongside the mafia chaos and deep emotional healing, this book is so sticky... and you know exactly what I mean by that. I can not stress enough that this is probably one of the spiciest book series. It is non-stop. And at times, oddly placed. I will admit I got tired of it after a while and was desperately wanting some more plot depth. Some of the intimacy was a little cringey or seemed overdone considering the extreme dangers Iris was in for her condition. Also, I struggled with them nonstop doing it in front of the minor orphan in their crew, who at 15 was nonstop in the room while everyone was shamelessly going at it. As well as talking about her walking around nonstop in front of him unclothed. Can yall at least protect him and go to a bedroom? That at times had me shaking my head, but overall, if you like spicy with your plot, this one does really well mostly.

I enjoyed this series as I did the first series of hers I read and definitely plan on adding more of her titles to my completed list this year. I can say that I am a Rosa Lee fan for sure.

I would like to state that the final conclusion of this book wrecked me for only one very specific reason. And that reason carried into the Authors note at the very end which I was not expecting. It left me feeling so heavy with grief, but I felt it my duty to carry that and feel it for that person because he deserves it.

If there was any possibility that I could give this book more than a five star review, I 100% would. I’ve never devoured a book the way I did this one, and I would do it again, because to succinctly put it, it was the f@#king good.

Book three picks up where book two ended and we’re in for a roller coaster of emotions as Iris, Hunter and Rowan deal with the fallout of Nikolai’s choice and what it will mean for all of them, a life without Roman.

Iris, Hunter and Rowan lean on each other, to help them get through the pain and loss, the heartbreak, soul crushing, until Iris gets a text from an unknown number, which sparks recognition from a past conversation that she had with Nikolai, hope alive in her heart, but Hunter shuts her down. Taking things to chance, a risk she knows could cost her, she goes in search of answers, with Bubby by her side.

Only those answers she comes face to face with when she is reunited with not only Nikolai but Roman as well, and then before long Hunter and Rowan. To say they are shocked is an understatement. But for Rowan it means more to him than his brothers will ever know, for his bond with his twin Roman is solid, unbreakable, he’s just glad to have him back.

As things seem to be somewhat settled, complications arise with Iris’s pregnancy, this jolts Hunter, Roman, Rowan and Nikolai into action, because the threat against them, against Iris leaves no room for error, Sergi will use whatever means necessary to claim Iris and his baby, however the Shadowmen will move heaven and earth, utilising any and every resource available to keep their girl safe.

They’re working against the clock, Sergi always one step ahead of them, until they realise he has resources beyond their capabilities, he’s been tracking their every move, but more so Iris’s pregnancy, someone has been filtering information to him, but who. They take calculated risks to keep Iris safe, facilitating attacks, creating diversions to draw Sergi’s attentions elsewhere and it works.

Iris and her Shadowmen return home, giving her a sense of security and stability. There are moments of happiness where her Shadowmen help her celebrate her birthday, but also engage in the joyous yet festive season of Christmas.

Time has come to put their plan into action, everything that they have all fought hard for hinges on the one thing they are fighting for, their future and it starts with eliminating the evil that has plagued their family but more so Nikolai and Iris, because for them this is where their pain started and this is where it will end, everything coming full circle. In the midst of the ensuing chaos Iris goes into labour, with Hunter and Roman for support and Alexei guiding her, she gives birth to her beautiful baby boy, as he takes his first breath, Sergi takes his last, Nikolai and Rowan’s retribution along with their Shadowmen swift, only to loose one of their own, Iris’s heart breaks for the sacrifice Bubby made to protect her and their family.

With the pain of their past behind them are Iris, Hunter, Roman, Rowan and Nikolai able to live their lives together with their son Novak, their future brighter, the love they have for each other solidifying their relationship, their happily ever after perfect, yet bittersweet.

And I would be remiss in saying that this author knows how to put the smut in smutty and the spice in spicy because those smexy scenes were out of this world. I loved how the relationships developed between Nikolai and Roman, then Nikolai and Hunter, but with Roman in between them it was explosive. Hunter was packing the daddy vibes big time, but when it came to punishing his brats Iris, Roman and Nikolai accepted every delicious morsel that Daddy Hunter dished out, and Rowan had no problem doling out his own when it came to satisfying his Lamb. Because when it comes to Iris’s Shadowmen they know how to satisfy Evangeline’s every need, their dominant, controlling and possessive nature knows no bounds, they push Iris’s limits, giving her equal amounts of pleasure and pain, taking everything they had to give, giving back in equal measure. Not only was their claiming primal and carnal it was hot, steamy, sinfully wicked, dirty, dark and deliciously depraved and I was there for all of it.

Highly recommended both the author and the book. Can’t wait to read what the authors writes next, because no doubt The Fallen will take us on another thrilling ride.

Well... I devoured this book I have been waiting so impatiently for this to come out after that cliffhanger in book 2, and I read it in 1 day, it was sooo good! I was actually really surprised about the relationship that developed between two characters as I assumed it was only with the other (don't want to say as I don't want to give away spoilers) but I am NOT mad about it! I loved seeing Dima and Alexei and Buddy (if you know you know)

I am still not over the growth in the relationships between the characters, seeing Nikolai finally break down and actually show his true feelings because he knows he is safe, and the protectiveness of all of them over him even after everything he had to do to protect them all, I loved seeing Rowans Chaotic energy throughout this book it made me laugh honestly how unhinged he was and what he would do to protect his family and him calling Nikolai Nikky made me laugh every time like he's a child being scolded and not a Russian Bratva leader. Getting to see an even more possessive side to Hunt as he works to protect everyone and work through his fears of not being good enough, I don't know what it is about seeing a grown mafia/shadow man break down when they feel safe that gets me every time!

and Iris oh our girl Iris, I loved how she loves them, I love that she is completely and utterly herself with everyone of them, and how each one of them brings out a different side to her and how she brings light to the darkness in all the men, and the fact that without Iris, Hunt, Rowan, Roman and Nikolai wouldn't have found what they needed in each other, and wouldn't have found what they needed in themselves to be who they truly are, iris is the sunshine that fills the cracks

and I cannot wait for the next book about the Fallen, and hoping to see some snippets our shadows and Nikolai the only thing I wish I got more of, is them all as a family, a little more in the future, we saw them suffer so much and I wish we got a little more of the future BUT knowing after everything they got their HEA I could cry, and to be fair I did cry chapter 46 why did you do that to ME!

Rosa has quickly become an instant download for me!

Alright, get ready for a total mind-meld because "Owned by Shadows" by Rosa Lee just landed like a damn meteor, and wow, this is how you stick a finale! After book two absolutely shattered me, I was holding my breath, desperate for closure, and let me tell you, this book delivered everything I hoped for and then some. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster that starts pulling the rug out from chapter one and just does not stop. You'll feel the pain, the love, the chaos, and the sheer strength of Iris and her men on every single page.

Iris has been through hell and back – pregnant, grieving, hunted – yet she finds her power and her voice in the fiercest way. Watching her lean into that strength without losing her vulnerability? That’s what hit me right in the feels. And her men? Roman, Rowan, Hunt, Nik – they are EVERYTHING. It's impossible to pick a favorite because they each bring something uniquely hot and protective to the table, making her feel safe and loved even amidst the Bratva madness. This series is a rare gem that balances chaos, kink, and so much damn heart, all while delivering spice levels that will have you needing a cool-down!

Rosa Lee is the queen of Reverse Harem for a reason; she crafts the perfect dynamic every single time, and "Owned by Shadows" is no exception. This book gives you everything: love, pain, loss, scorching intimacy, heart-pounding action, and an ending that shocked me right down to the last pages (in the best way!). I sacrificed sleep, cried buckets (both happy and sad!), and devoured this masterpiece in under 24 hours. The emotional whiplash is real, but the payoff? Absolutely phenomenal. Thank you, Rosa, for this incredible series – I'll be thinking about this one for a long, long time. If you want a read that is sexy, savage, and devastatingly perfect, you must read this series in order. You've been warned – get ready to be wrecked!

This book surprised me and it took a few turns I didn't see coming. Book 2 ended with a pretty brutal cliffhanger (although not as bad as book 1 which is probably still my favourite book in the series) and I was glad it wasn't dragged out too long. I didn't really feel the threat of Sergei so much in this book as I had done previously as he wasn't on page that much; he seemed a bit too all knowing and I had money on there being a mole somewhere which meant I trusted no one reading this! The pregnancy plot was more of the focal point though and I did appreciate that it wasn't straight forward for Iris considering this character has been in fight or flight mode for a year. I also liked that it took place over a few months as there was a lot of emotions to unpack along the way as well as physical recovery.

I love a nickname but I still can't keep Ro and Roo straight in my head even after three books. The characters are distinct though and I loved how the MMCs mental health was such a focus in this book as so often that can be overlooked. Each of the guys has key points where they work through something and Hunt and Nik in particular were standouts. Although they all still treat Iris like their North Star, I liked how the individual relationships developed too, and not just the romantic ones. Nik and Rowan's adventure with the grenade was a total highlight and I could see them having a full on bromance. There is still plenty of spice throughout however I would have loved to have seen more of the Nik/Hunt/Roman dynamic outside of Iris as their emotional connection was just as strong. Although there are a couple of scenes, I'd have loved a few more glimpses.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

What an absolute banger to end this trilogy. There was not a single dull moment in this book and I straight devoured it in less than 24 hours. Every time you thought things would slow down, something crazy happened again. Did I sacrifice sleep for this book? Absolutely! Do I regret it?? Not even a little bit. After that brutal hangover in book 2, I could not wait to get my hands on this book and Rosa did not disappoint. Just as expected with any Rosa Lee book, the emotions were high in this one, and I cried multiple times, but I also laughed and felt the love between all these characters. The spicy scenes were so flipping hot. OMG 🥵🥵

I don't want to give too much away with the way book 2 ended, so I'll do my best not to spoil anything. I loved reading the developing relationship between all the guys and the found family in this book was so damn good. The way Iris' men always have her back and love the baby despite whom the father is warms my heart. When Hunt called Nik sweetheart, I just straight melted. I wondered what the dynamic would be like between them, since they're both these Alpha males, and they definitely fought for the top spot, but Hunt will always be the daddy of their little unit. It's just in him to take care of everyone.

This book may have put me through the ringer emotionally, but as promised, they all got their HEA and Sergei got exactly what was coming to him. But chapter 46 WTF Rosa, I was not prepared for that, and you had me crying like a baby in public!! The set-up for the next series has me so excited because those men are even crazier than the shadows. Think Rowan but x5. 🤣🤣

Owned By Shadows is Book 3 of the Shadowmen Series and a thrilling conclusion of the Dark Romance Trilogy! This book continues from where book 2 ended, so I suggest you to read previous two books - 'Kissed By Shadows' and 'Claimed By Shadows' first.

Rosa Lee is my favourite why choose romances author. The dynamics between her characters are always amazing. Iris, Nik,Hunt, Roman and Rowan, all of them have incredible bond between them - love, emotions and protectiveness.

Irish is the centre of their world. All these powerful, possessive & dominant men shows their tender, romantic and emotional side only for her. They can die for her and kill anyone to keep her safe.

They have to eliminate Sergi ( Bratva leader) to protect Irish and baby and to live a peaceful life and build a family. They all face every challenge, threats and obstacles together to fight their enemy. I love the other characters also who helps them throughout their journey.

This book is rollercoaster of emotions🥹 and it kept me on edge of my seat with unexpected twists and turns. It gave me all the feels, excitement and anxiety!

The emotions are so raw & intense, the intimate scenes between Irish and all 4 of her men are so so spicy 🔥🔥Nik, Hunt and Roman also have explosive chemistry and it was So Hot 🥵 🥵 when they're together.

I loved reading this book so much. Storyline is so wonderful with plot twists, action, adventure, romance, emotions and spice!

Actively disliked this book. Book 1 was great, book 2 was disappointing but still good, THIS BOOK WAS SHOCKINGLY BAD. This book is the epitome of “a trilogy that should be a duet”. 80% of this book was hanging around waiting for stuff to happen and the characters deciding to fill the time with smut. Now smut it fine, good even, but when it’s consistent from the beginning or written into the story. Book 2 was maybe 30% smut, this book jumped to 80% which made it a longed out boring read.

Also, like book 2, I just don’t believe the dynamic. It feels so fake. Nikolai and Hunter texting was sweet. And I thought they would mess around a bit but they went FULL ON relationship TOO QUICKLY and I just don’t believe it. I also just don’t see all the men in relationships with eachother, it feels forced and fake and I just don’t see it for these characters.

Iris was just pregnant and ill all of the book and I do love a pregnancy trope, BUT I just didn’t care what happened to her. She gave NOTHING this book.

I can’t even talk about the ending. The authors note was sweet but if it meant that much why was it a paragraph of the story? They moved on too quick. A blanket, in the backseat, forgotten. Ffs. Angered me.

1.5 stars, rounded to 2 as I read and finished it. PLUS Rowan’s crazy made this book a little better (although very random and out of character as he had plenty of opportunity to be this crazy throughout the series. Appreciated it though)

What an ending to the trilogy. Honestly, I have never read a book that kept me on my toes and overthinking every possible thing until I read this book and trilogy. Rosa did not go soft or light on this book, everything was traumatic in a way. Yes, we ended up getting the right ending to everything that had happened but getting there was hard enough.

Iris is such a strong woman and surrounded by all her men she is as powerful as she can be. I loved getting to see her mama bear side come out across the book and rightly so after everything she has been through. The pregnancy did not come in the way it was supposed to by her loving partners but instead by the man who held her captive. My opinion but I don't think I could have gone through with it after what Iris had been through and then raised that child but she is a lot stronger than I am and that is clear by the support system she naturally has in place.

The book did have a shocking start but then we see everything even out until all the shit starts happening. I am not sure how to even accurately represent this book in terms of words because no words can describe how crazy this book was.

Overall the trilogy was amazing and I am so glad I got to read it. So many emotions went through me while reading the book and I would not have wanted it any other way.

This final book dives right into the heart of things, with Iris back among her Shadowmen, confronting a significant loss and betrayal. Believing the loss isn't real, Iris courageously follows her instincts (and a text!) to Russia, bringing Bubby along. Though initially frustrated by her departure, her Shadows loyally follow. Her intuition pays off, bringing everyone back together to strategize against the Russian Mafia boss. Along their journey, they receive crucial aid from Kai (a familiar face from the Highgate Prepatory Academy series) and "The Fallen." Amidst the action, the romance intensifies, not just between Iris and her men, but beautifully among the men themselves.

Their devotion to Iris and their baby is profoundly touching, and their unwavering love and trust in each other are truly inspiring. Ultimately, after all their trials and trauma, they achieve a richly deserved HEA.

Here are a few more options for rewording that sentence:

The emotional depth provided by Bubby's real-life information was both heartbreaking and touching, and it brilliantly contributed to his unexpected story turn.

It was a privilege to be an ARC reader for both Book 2 and 3 of this series. Rosa Lee consistently delivers captivating stories with characters that leap off the page, and her interconnected worlds make for an incredibly immersive reading journey.

I have a few authors that I consider automatic reads and Rosa Lee is definitely one of them. I was so excited to read this new shadows trilogy and now I’m sad to see it at its end. Of course if I know Rosa, we will see these guys again somewhere down the road in another book! Dare I hope for a series about the Fallen??

Book 3 of the Shadowmen series, Owned by Shadows, is a satisfying (if not a little sad) end to the trilogy but overall I think book 1 is still my favorite of the series. Long story short book 3 picks up shortly after the events of book 2 and essentially we are leading up to the final showdown between our heroes and Sergi with a few stops along the way :). We once again get some of my favorite tropes: touch her and die, pregnancy with a smidge of lactation, daddy kink, and sword crossing with bi-awakening! I think for book 2 I said the spice was extra wild, but if that was the case then the spice in book 3 is out of this world! There are some things happening here that I had to re-evaluate what my kinks are :).

I really like Iris and her men and I think Rosa does such a nice job creating a family among what are essentially a group of misfits.

I received an advanced review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.

In the words of Rosa Lee, “The Motherf***ing End.” And what a freaking ending it was!!!!

After the devastating cliffhanger in book 2, I was DYING for book 3 of the Shadowmen Series.

I couldn’t have asked for a better ending for Iris, her Prince, and her Shadows. Well, minus one tiny part, but we won’t talk about that. 😉

Rosa is a Queen of Why Choose. The dynamics between her characters is always amazing. Iris, Hunt, Nik, Rowan, and Roman were no different. I loved watching the relationships form within the relationship. Two alpha males falling for each other?! Yes please.

The twists and turns throughout had me in a chokehold. I swear once I got one answer, it left me with 3 more. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for these guys to end it. All I have to say is, F, Sergei.

I absolutely loved every minute with Iris and her guys. I can’t wait to see what Rosa gives us next. Might I hope for more Alexei?! 😉

Favorite Quotes:

“We are connected by our agony, mirror images of each other’s broken souls”

Oh, he’s got it bad for Daddy.

She’s so perfect for us, my sun with a hint of darkness, a hint of the star that can destroy as well as give life.

Thank you Rosa Lee and team for the ARC of Owned By Shadows!

Affinity Star read!!!!!! 💫
Loved this book!!!!
And I also enjoyed reading it too.
It is one of my favorites for the year!!!!
Book three picks up where book two ended and we are in for a roller coaster of emotions as Iris, Hunter, and Rowan deal with the fallout of Nikolai’s choice and what it will mean for all of them, a life without Roman. But I am so happy that Nikolai saved Roman and bought him back together with Iris and Hunter and Rowan.
Loved the romance between The Shadowmen Hunter Anderson their gorgeous leader and The Kent twins Hunter's seconds Roman and Rowan and also Nikolai Petrov!!!!!
I just loved the possessiveness these guys have over Iris and each other! And They will stop at nothing to protect her and again.... each other.
I extremely hated Sergi Petrov- Nikolai's father and what he did to Iris and the guys.
So much spice in this book. And it was full of suspense and twists and turns too.
This book was leading up to the final showdown between our heroes and Sergi with stops along the way. And I am glad the guys gave Sergi the death he deserved I really loved Iris and her men.
I loved Dayton also called Bubby who also died protecting Iris , Andrei, and Dima who help protected Iris and the other guys too.
With the pain of their past behind them Iris, Hunter, Roman, Rowan and Nikolai are able to live their lives together with their son Novak, their future brighter, the love they have for each other solidifying their relationship, their happily ever after perfect, yet bittersweet.
Rosa Lee is now one of my favorite authors and I loved this series and another series by her.
It was so sad that this was the last book of the series I wanted to stay in their life with Iris and her baby and all of her guys. If you are new to this series, prepare to read the entire thing in one go. I promise you will be flying through all 3 books so quick because you won’t be able to put them down!
