About the author

K. Rose has been a part of the Indie Author Community for years. Getting her start as a reader, her keen eye led to a wonderful career in Alpha/Beta and ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reading. As a joke to her fellow advanced reader colleagues, she created a spoofed blurb and cover for a story and the feedback was so positive that it sparked her to run with it.
That stoked a fire that has her racing down a multi-genre freeway with no off-ramp in sight. K. doesn’t write to “market” and she is fairly certain that her humor and use of puns may cause an eye roll or two. This still wouldn’t stop her from making sure there is humor in every one of her stories. As a Multi Genre Author, there is sure to be something for everyone to love.
She has traveled the USA extensively, including Alaska, and lived in thirty-eight of the fifty states. Home is now the beautiful state of Wisconsin, where she dreams up her stories in the company of her menagerie of furbabies, including five puppies, five rescue kitties, a bunch of chickens, ducks and turkeys ruled by a Rooster named Chicken Parm, and a ninety-gallon tropical fish tank.
Life will always be interesting for K. Rose, which will fuel her works, and keep her muses singing, come join the chorus.

Tried my best with this but couldn't do it, dnf at 68%. Everything was too instant and I felt too much was missing to declare love constantly.

Emerald Legacy is a retelling of the Wizard of Oz but this version is a darker and more adult read. Lottie (FMC) lands in Oz and finds 3 men - Crespin, Sparrow and Tiffer waiting for her to help them turn Oz back into what it once was. Starting all of them off on a journey of discovery and adventure. Their relationship gradually building as the book progressed. It was endearing but also steamy too. This was an enjoyable read but the ending felt a little bit unfinished to me. It was still a good read through.

Emerald Legacy by K. Rose is a spicy, whimsical, and unexpectedly emotional spin on the Land of Oz that I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did—but I was hooked from the first page.

Lottie finds herself suddenly dropped into an Oz that’s darker, stranger, and way more dangerous than anything she ever dreamed up in her art studio. What really pulled me in, though, were the companions she meets along the way. Sparrow is pure sunshine with a devilish streak, Crespin is that brainy sweetheart with hidden strength, and Tiffer is gruff, commanding, and impossible not to love once you start seeing his softer side. The chemistry between them all is off the charts, and the “why choose” tension builds deliciously chapter after chapter. There’s plenty of heat here, but it doesn’t come at the expense of world-building or character growth.

The story itself is fast-paced and full of surprises. It blends action, heart, and steamy moments into a magical journey full of charm and grit. And honestly, I loved the balance of playful banter, perilous stakes, and genuine emotional moments. You’ll get your fair share of fantasy adventure, spicy group dynamics, and some laugh-out-loud quips that made the whole thing feel fun and grounded despite the fantastical setting.

If you're into reverse harems with actual plot, reimagined fairy tales, and found family vibes (with a heavy dash of spice), this one’s a win. I’d say it lands somewhere between a 4.5 and 5-star read, but I’m rounding up for the sheer creativity and cozy-sinister Oz aesthetic.

I found this one to be a fun and exciting read. The characters were fun to read about as they went on a quest that was full of lots of action, Spice and a perilous adventure. I, also, found many parts of the story that made me think. Specially these quotes:
"No matter what awaits us in the darkness, we face it as one. Our love is the light that will guide us, the strength that will lift us, and the hope that will never fade. My Mental health hasn't been the greatest, so I might need you all to pick me up when I fall" - Crespin

"We are ready".... "Let the gathering storm come-- we will weather it together" - Sparrow
"This is our time to rise, to confront every fear and doubt that has held us back. The sacrifice we made is our bond, and it will be our shield. We've got you." - Tiffer
I could go on as there are many quotes that really made me think that can be applied in real life situations. It made me think that one should never go it alone in life as we need the support of others to keep us going and to give us all the support that is possible to survive life's challenges.
I loved reading Emerald Legacy and it deserves the rating I gave and if I could I would of give more but 5 stars is the highest. I can't wat to see what this author has for future books to come I find her work to be amazing.
So, if you love Adventure, Spice, Quotes that make you think then this is the book for you.

Emerald Legacy by K. Rose is a reimagining of Wizard of Oz. I’m a big fan of reimaginings of classic fairytales that I loved growing up. This was done well, I enjoyed the spin the author did with the world and the characters. Something I found myself enjoying the most was the characters had faults but each was able to realize and vocalize them. Also I really liked that the characters were able to grow but in a very believable way. It is also a why choose romance so that was a fun little aspect for the story added in. The writing was good and I liked; Lottie, Crespin, Sparrow and Tiffer trying to find a way to break the curse. I will say I’m a bit conflicted with the ending. It felt like something was missing or it ended to quickly… I’m not sure, this could just be a me problem. Overall I had a good reading experience because ultimately the story drew me into this world. I would recommend it if you’re a fan of why choose reimagined fairytale romances that give an interesting spin.

Totally Unique Twist to Oz

Wow…. I don’t honestly ever think I’ve read a book like this. This is a Why Choose romance, and when Lottie ends up being transported to Oz, she is initially dumbfounded. When Crespin, Sparrow, and Tiffer came out to greet her saying they had been waiting for her, she was speechless. But when they tell her that SHE was needed to help heal Oz from the darkness that had come over it – she pulled up her big girl panties and got to work.

Crespin, Sparrow and Tiffer all seem like the Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man from the original Oz (but obviously NOT) and they go on a journey across Oz that becomes increasingly more treacherous as they go. They must survive against all odds and fight against things trying to either hurt or kill them, but they have each other. And love will conquer all.

I will say I am still pondering the ending… did it REALLY happen or not? Regardless, it was a fantastic journey!

The Emerald Legacy is a Wizard of Oz retelling. Lottie falls through a portal and finds herself in a cursed Oz. There, she immediately meets three men and they proceed to embark on a quest to save Oz. Sounds pretty intriguing, right? Well, for this reader...that's where the intrigue stops.
Everything moves pretty quickly. Insta-love, insta-lust and a quick moving story with a need for more world-building and development. This book has a lot of potential, but it needs more fleshing out. I wanted more development to really draw me into the story. As it is, I feel like there is a lot that I'm missing and left me wanting.
There are some steamy moments in the story, but they taper off and become more "fade to black" scenes with readers being encouraged to use their imagination.
I could have seen this book being a series, but this is what we have. It ended up leaving me feeling disappointed.

K.R. have written such Amazing books i loved her book Emerald legacy . I love following fmc in her journey and i loved to read her growth as a character…. I just really love the Way these authors writes… all the books she writes is always soo good and always keeps me on my toes… the Way their writing is soo intresting.. i have loved all the books i have read by her… i love the fmc story and i love watching her realstionship with grow stronger and stronger…. i really loved the twist and turn…This really Kept my interest the whole Way and i really loves this book…this book was freaking good.. I loved the movie Wizard of Oz when I was a little girl so, I love stories about it or similar to it. However, this was not your typical retelling, it's Oz reimagined!

I loved the MFC, Lottie, and the MMCs, Crespin, Tiffer, and Sparrow. They all made this story unique. I liked how there was character development but, the kind that was believable. The kind that makes the characters be, at times, not at their best but, along the way, they admit their faults and strive to overcome it.

I loved the world building and how it drew you in, like magic! Oz is a place of fantasy and with a dash of love and courage found through adventures and an everlasting bond!

I'd definitely recommend this book if your a fan of romance yet, with a good plot!

Wizard of Oz, Wicked, I adore these stories and always love it when I come across a retelling and this, well this one was incredible. An exciting and thrilling retelling told with the authors take and it is dark and captivating, mysterious and enthralling, told with incredible world building that is beautiful and descriptive and has you glued to the pages. Our characters are similar but different, you have Lottie, strong, likeable and determined. Then there’s Sparrow, charming and fun, Tiffer, heartless and kind and lastly Crespin our loveable coward. Their adventures draw you in as they battle evil and darkness to break the curse that is changing the land of Oz! Twists and turns, a little spice and a fantastic why choose romance, this is an incredible fantasy read!

Emerald legacy is a spicy, creative retelling of the wizard of Oz! I have not read too many retellings of this story so I was definitely curious! I thought this was entertaining! Lottie finds herself in a darker, dangerous world than she expected and throughout her journey through Oz , she meets her men. Sparrow, Crispin and Tiffer are each unique and very diverse and they each bring something different to their relationship with Lottie. This was a fairly quick paced book, steamy and action packed, filled with moments of laughter and intense moments,it was a great blend of emotions that was well done! Overall it was a fun, entertaining read and I am looking forward to more from this authour!

Emerald Legacy" by K Rose offers a bold and imaginative retelling of Oz, twisting familiar elements into something entirely new. The world is richly depicted, steeped in darkness and danger, and the cast of characters—Sparrow, Tiffer, and Crespin—bring an interesting dynamic to the journey. While the story unfolds with a compelling blend of adventure and romance, I personally found that things fell into place a bit too seamlessly. A touch more mystery and dramatic tension between the relationships would have deepened the emotional stakes. That said, I'm a sucker for anything Wizard of Oz-related, and I always enjoy seeing how different authors reimagine this classic tale. Fans of dark fantasy and unconventional romance will find plenty to love in this fresh take on Oz.

What if Oz has changed? Just like real life about the only thing that is guarantee is change. Lottie finds herself in some unexplained way landing in Oz, there as she lands is 3 men Sparrow, Tiffer, and Crispin. Lottie has an immediate connection with them. Lottie finds out that that Oz has been taken over by evil, and that it was for told she would come. As the four of them work their way to solving the puzzle, it because clear that their strength is in their unity. Can they make it through all the hazards that are being put in their way and not lose their convictions of their faith in each other? Who said Oz could still not be the whimsical story we loved as children retold now from maybe the perspective of an adult view?

Welcome to Oz, though it may not be the Oz of your childhood.... In this Oz we are re-introduced to some of our beloved characters, but in different forms, with easter eggs sprinkled in on who they were in our childhood stories.
This is not a PG retelling and are thrust into the action within the first couple chapters. (No pun attended) We also follow the adventure of our heroine and her men while finding a way to break the curse that is slowly destroying Oz. We have growth, found family, and inner strength brought to light.
My only peeve, is the ending felt lacking and a little abrupt, but all in all a solid story for those dreamers.

This is a retelling of The Wizard Of Oz. I do like retelling stories which is why I read this, it was different yet really good.

Our FMC lands in Oz and meets Tiffer, Sparrow and Crespin who want to restore Oz and make it a better place. I do feel like we are literally thrown in to it and their’s no real build up but it did turn out to be a really good, action packed read. So if you are looking for a fast paced read this is definitely a good book for you. Theirs so many challenges they end up facing and there are spicy scenes throughout!
Overall a really good read, fairly quick too I read this within an hour of starting it.

This was definitely not your typical re-imagined fairytale. If you're looking for unique and out of the ordinary, this take on the classic Wizard of Oz is for you.

This tale dives right in with our FMC, Lottie and the MMC's Crespin, Tiffer and Sparrow. They need to break a curse to save Oz. The world-building is phenomenal and draws you right in. It sets you up for the story that is engaging and plot driven. It has enough twists to keep you going and just the right amount of spice to make it spicy. The characters are not static, the develop as the story goes along and it just hits you in the happy.

This Wizard of Oz retelling was a new experience for me and was a very enjoyable read. First off, the world building was everything I needed to be fully submerged into this storyline. Lottie, Sparrow, Crespun, and Tiffer are some incredibly relatable characters as they go on a bit of dark and twisty, yet meaningful adventure through Oz. The character and relationship building was top notch along with some deliciously spicy moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this action packed story and can’t help but want to read more of Rose’s backlog in the future!

I love reading reimagined retellings of popular fairytales and classics! Knowing this was based off the land of Oz, I knew it was a must read! We are introduced to our FMC Lottie along with our scarecrow, tin man and lion, Sparrow, Tiffer and Crespin. These four must navigate the dark and twisty cursed land of Oz, while also navigating their new found feelings for one another. A page turning adventure, Lottie are men are definitely put through the wringer as they try to navigate all that is stacked against them while they try to save Oz. This was a page turner from start to finish!

Lottie is dropped into another world and there’s a curse which needs to be broken. She needs to do this and there’s a lot of action. Of course we’ve got the tin man, scarecrow, and lion Sparrow, Tiffer and Crespin to help her. I loved their interactions and how they played off each other. This is a darker take on Oz with lots of intense moments for these characters. It’s got some neat twists and turns to enjoy. I didn’t want to stop reading this and just kept wanting to find out more and more. If you like great retellings then this one is a great one to read.

This was such a fun retelling of the Wizard of Oz and I loved the RH spin on it. Lottie, Sparrow, Crespin and Tiffer end up going on quite the adventure as they journey to try and save the land. The characters were great, the plot, twisted and the fast burn romance, spicy. I really enjoyed how each men was unique and special to Lottie as they find that true love does conquer all. I really enjoyed how this one unfolded :D

Ms. K gives us the land of OZ.. with a twist! Lottie lands in OZ and is met by Sparrow,Tiffer and Crispin. They explain that Oz is being taken over by shadow and they are part of a prophecy and they begin the adventures. To find out everything that happens to them on the way to a hard won HEA, dive into this beautifully written story with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend it. Don't miss out on this book!!

I always thought the Wizard of Oz would make an interesting why choose retelling, and boy did K.Rose do it justice. This story was a wonderful take on the classic, while adding the steam and RH element. Lottie has to team up with her men in order to bring the old Oz back. This story had my attention from the get go and was a fast paced, steamy read. If you’re a fan of retellings, this wizard the oz one will blow you away.

Whimsical and steamy

A retelling that gripped me from page one. Lottie finds herself in Oz, helping Tiffer, Crespin and Sparrow as they try to break a curse and heal the land. She's swept away on a twisty and magical journey. There's adventure, steam and found family. I loved how seamless the story telling was. It was a fresh take on a classic story that will leave you wondering what's real and what's not, and completely unable to put it down!

I absolutely love a fairytale retelling and this one did not disappoint. The characters are enthralling, their chemistry and connection flys off the pages. The world building is dynamic and it pulls you into the story, making you want to just keep reading. This story is fast paced, well developed, action packed with just the right amount of steam. Oh what a fun retelling this story was. I was excited to read this adaptation and it did not disappoint. I was hooked from start to finish. I did not want to put down my kindle until I finished.

A short description with out giving much away is that Lottie finds herself in OZ. There she helps Tiffer, Crespin and Sparrow as they try to heal the land and break the curse. There they have lots of adventure, some steamy moments, family and just a really good story.

OMG I love the wizard of OZ always have and this new spin on it is amazing!!!!! You fall in love with the characters and want to see them succeed in helping OZ. The way they build each other up and help combat the evil magic is Amazing!!! I could not put this down seeing some of the old OZ story throughout with new adventures was amazing!!!!!!

Emerald Legacy is a Wizard if Oz retelling. The overall story and plot were interesting and kept my attention. I would have liked more depth -things just sort of happened with no explanation and I felt the flow was choppy. The fast burn was too much for me -might be because Im not an insta-love fan. Even with the negatives I was still able to enjoy the story.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about a Wizard of Oz remake, but I have to say I LOVED it. I loved the twists and the story and the RH aspect. Loved Lottie and her men (Sparrow, Crespin and Tiffer). The guys were all different and my attention never went astray while reading. I just I would definitely recommend this book!

An interesting why choose twist retelling of Oz. Lottie has intriguing personality as do her male characters. The story has interesting twist to the wizard of oz take on it. It has some steam but some action along with their adventure in Oz. There are unexpected occurrences and let’s not forget it is on the darker retelling.
