Emma knows she shouldn’t reveal herself to David. After all, humans think mermaids are a myth. But she’s drawn to him. Will he love her in return, or will he threaten her very existence?
Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this short story and this is my freely given opinion.
This is the next iteration of Sophia Poe's Naughty Fairytale series and is her erotic short story inspired by the Little Mermaid. It is exactly that, a steamy, erotic short story about a sailor who meets a mermaid, they fall in love, and have a torrid affair, with a HEA. 'Nuff said. I felt it was pretty faithful to the story, with the erotic elements.
A Scandalous Encounter is the tenth installment in the Naughty Fairytale Series. A Scandalous Encounter follows the journey of David and Emma, I found these two amazing characters to be both intriguing and interesting at the same time. I couldn't get enough of their story, and was slightly sad when their story came to an end. A Scandalous Encounter is a quick read that can be read within one sitting, which I sometimes enjoy reading those kinds of books. A Scandalous Encounter is charming, suspenseful, and a definite page-turner. A Scandalous Encounter is written beautifully, well-balanced, and perfectly executed by Author Sophia Poe. Author Sophia Poe continues to write fascinating romance stories that keeps the reader's attention throughout the book. A Scandalous Encounter is most certainly a book that I would encourage other readers to give it a read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Spicy and hot! From the first page, I was hooked by Emma's internal struggle as she battles the urge to reveal herself to David, a human who has no idea that mermaids like her even exist. Poe skillfully weaves together fantasy and romance, making Emma's dilemma feel relatable and real, despite its otherworldly nature. The chemistry between Emma and David is undeniable, and I found myself rooting for them to overcome the immense odds stacked against their love.
Naughty fairytale retellings are some of my favorite books and this series is no exception. My only complaints are that they are so short making it hard to say much else. Next?.
