"If he calls us ‘his boys’ one more time, I’m changing my gender and giving up my Alpha designation.”
I think the fact that I read this series in three days speaks volumes about my love for it. (I've never read a series so fast). I picked up the first book without any particular expectations—I was just curious, and I always enjoy giving in to my curiosity. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn’t.
In this case, it more than paid off. I absolutely loved this series and adored every single one of its books.

𐙚 The Alphas
My little list of my favorite Alphas doesn’t mean I don’t love Moses —far from it. In truth, I love them all.
I’ve grown attached to each of the Alphas, and just like Isobel, I love them all differently.
I don’t think it’s possible to dislike any of them or to love one less than the others. They all have something special, something that makes you care for them and want to know more about them, to read more about their interactions with Isobel.
I just loved all of them—I needed to read about them.
Everything is perfectly balanced—nothing too much, nothing too little—everything is just right, so that we can truly enjoy the story. It’s so captivating; they’re so captivating.
𐙚 The Alphas and Isobel
I love seeing how, with each book, multiple relationships are developed and given even more depth. For example, I got teary-eyed realizing that all Mikel wanted was to have a relationship with Isobel, and he simply didn’t know how to build one that would be just theirs. I loved that we got to see this new side of him in this book—Isobel needed it, and so did we.
Or like about Isobel and Gabriel’s relationship? It’s so deep, fragile, and beautiful... It was incredibly touching to see them grow closer, to see Gabriel accept Isobel when he could have easily pushed her away because of his trauma. I’m not saying he’s 100% healed from his past, but he’s taking it step by step with Isobel, and it’s so moving to witness that journey.
I find that each relationship is fantastically beautiful. Each one is different, yet none is overlooked. At least, no relationship feels less developed than another. They all have a certain depth that makes this series so incredible.
Now I’m just eagerly waiting for all of them (including Isobel) to realize their love for each other. I can’t wait to see Mikel and Calen choose to build a relationship with her. And I’m so excited to see Moses finally give in as well.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” he interrupted, his eyes going wide like he was surprised at the words that fell out of him. “Be my girlfriend,” he doubled down, recovering from his shock, his hands slipping up to her face, cupping her jaw with long, careful fingers. “Be the person I can be gentle with, or rough with, whatever you like. Be the person I can laugh with. Be the person I can look at and have a conversation just with our eyes. Be the girl who teases me and challenges me. Let me take care of you. Come to my room and talk to me about nothing or all the important things. Tell me how you feel about your dad or how much your feet hurt. Let’s get each other real presents instead of exchanging flowers on our birthdays. Be my girlfriend.”
And please, this scene ????? It has to be one of the most beautiful moments in the book, along with the one where Mikel talks to Isobel about their relationship. I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time—it was just so sweet. I love that Elijah is the first to officially become Isobel’s boyfriend, especially since he was the first to take a step toward her during their first year. I think it’s such a perfect parallel.
In any case, I absolutely love each of the relationships Isobel has with the Alphas.
𐙚 Bellamy
I absolutely adore the friendship between Bellamy and Isobel. As I mentioned in my review of the fourth book, it’s so refreshing! They’re always teasing each other, and Bellamy is truly a real friend to Isobel. I really hope we get to see more of them in the future.
Bellamy and Lily was the cutest moment i've never thought i needed.
Bellamy with Sophie? I love that just as much!
𐙚 Thoughts about the series
At this point, I’m hoping there will be ten books... I love this series so much that I don’t mind if the story takes its time. There’s always something happening, and that’s all that matters.
I know there’s a sixth book, and I can’t wait to read it. I’m also a bit scared that it might be the last one, though. I wonder how everything could wrap up in just one book? There’s still so much to do—defeat Ironside, destroy this system... Maybe not everything will be resolved, I don’t know, but that’s definitely what I hope to see. I think 400 pages won’t be enough, especially after the ending of this book.
𐙚 Quotes
“You hate everyone,” Isobel said, too tired to care that Oscar was being a big, snarling bully.
“I like you.” The words were a scrape of gravel, utterly without warmth. They still made her stomach burn, her skin tingling with pleasure.
Kalen: You’re not even going to wait for them to fuck? Who are you going to kill first?
Oscar: Probably Theodore, that smug fuck.
Kalen: He’s our lead singer, you idiot.
Oscar: Then Kilian, that fake gay smug fuck.
Lips pushing at her cheeks—she always smiled like that, like her mouth was too narrow for it, creating multiple little dimples in her skin. With lips like hers, it was a smile that drew the eye. It wasn’t cute like she could sometimes be, or cold like she could sometimes be. It was plush and soft and inviting—like she almost never was.
Theodore: Stop it.
Isobel: Make me.
Oscar: Stop flirting in the group chat.
Isobel: That was fighting.
Oscar: As I said.
“Do I look like I flirt, Sigma?”
“I could see you flirting,” she hedged. “Maybe with a scientific manual of some kind? I could see you stroking its spine by the fireplace, fingering its pages.” He looked amused, so she continued. “I could see you flirting with a documentary on binary code—snuggled in with some wine and fondue.”
His firm lips twitched, giving her a flash of the reaction she craved. “Do I look like I eat fondue?” he asked blandly.
“Did you really just say fingering?” Gabriel interrupted.
“I’ve got a little bit of a fucking problem, Carter. I need to be the one who takes this fear away. I can’t explain why. I just know it needs to be me. I’m the one who makes you feel safe again. It’s fucking me.” He slid against her, making her body bow back, a low whine catching in her throat. “But if I take you …” His voice grew deeper, more gravelled, his cock twitching as he began to grind into her. “The possessive bastard inside me will grow unbearable. I need a way to remind myself that you’re mine.”
“You’re still doing those?” Theodore asked, glancing at her screen as she began to draw.
“It’s not like he’s getting any other presents,” she said, frowning at him. Theodore smirked.
“You want me to get him a present? What do you think he’d like?” “Hand sanitiser,” Kilian commented without looking up.
“Why are we talking about Bellamy?” he growled lowly.
She chuckled. “First example I could think of.”
“Every time that fucker makes you laugh, I want to kill him.”
“You could try to be funnier,” she said casually.
“I’m fucking hilarious. You should come to one of my fights. I made a guy’s nose explode before break.”
