The story started slow, but now things are picking up!!!!! Exciting....

Things are still extremely cute, but the supporting characters are really starting to irk me 😭 aya is getting more meddlesome by the page, ato (?) just keeps randomly appearing to ruin everyone’s day, and I don’t give a single got damn about the ex-love rival but she keeps showing up. the supporting characters are leaking a bit too much into the main story and it’s kinda annoying me considering how many volumes are left

Aaahhh, Hibi Chouchouuuuu!! XDD Akhirnya lanjut juga baca shoujo manga yg super kawaii ini setelah sempat ditunda sejenak karena nunggu seri ini tamat di vol 12. :) Lagi mood baca kontemporer YA bgt soalnya. Mumpung sudah tamat juga, so harus dibabat segera, sudah lama juga tdk baca shoujo manga krn sekarang aku rada milih2 kalo baca shoujo, plus kayanya shoujo manga sekarang ga sebagus yg jadul2... Paling cuma segelintir saja yg bagus, sisanya euh...
Sebenarnya nothing special dari shoujo manga yg ini, simpel pake banget ceritanya, tenang, tanpa drama, dan mungkin bikin org yg senang opera sabun itu jadi bosan. Tapi goshhh, dosis cute-nya itu selalu sukses bikin aku yg udah 33 tahun ini going awwww kyaaaaa XDDD jejeritan bak remaja lagi, huahahaha. Mungkin karena Suiren si bunga sekolah ini adalah gadis yg pemalu, pendiam dan jarang bicara yg lebih banyak ngomong dlm hati dan Kawasumi adalah cowok yg sama pendiam, kalem, juga lumayan pemalu dan canggung sama cewek sehingga tiap kali mereka berdua berinteraksi itu jadi kerasa bgt adorable-nya, so much feelings in the air gitu biarpun panel minim dialog dan mrk berdua lbh banyak diam dan jarang ngobrol. Banyak juga yg berpikir hubungan pasangan pendiam ini ga bakal bertahan lama, terutama krn meskipun mereka sudah pacaran, tapi masih jarang ngobrol, lbh banyak diamnya (terutama Suiren), tapi melihat interaksi mereka berdua yg begitu sweet, kita jadi mikir ahhh tiap pasangan kan punya gaya pacaran masing2, mereka berdua sudah merasa nyaman dan enjoy dgn kebersamaan mereka tanpa harus banyak berkata-kata.
Awal2 sblm jadian, Suiren yg lebih aktif ngejar Kawasumi, tapi belakangan Kawasumi akhirnya bisa lebih ekspresif dan aktif dalam hubungan mereka setelah mereka pacaran. :)
Di volume 7 ini juga Kawasumi dan Suiren masih tetap sukses bikin aku fangirling saking imutnya mereka berdua, misalnya adegan Kawasumi yg pertama kali beli hadiah ultah buat Suiren, atau adegan mereka pertama kali pelukan ringan, atau adegan Kawasumi menagih coklat yg hampir batal diberikan Suiren, atau adegan mereka malu-malu saat bertemu kembali setelah adegan pelukan. Aku jadi bertanya-tanya, masih adakah kisah cinta sepolos dan semurni ini di jaman sekarang? XDD

Konnichiwa to all, readers 🌸
Today I bring you the review of the seventh volume of Daily Butterfly in which the emotions of the leading couple will be on the surface. With that said, let's get started:
🦋 After the events of the Christmas holidays in which Suiren and Kawasumi strengthened their ties, the injury Kawasumi suffered in a karate practice becomes a new stumbling block for the relationship.
While he continues to find a balance between sport and his partner, Suiren suffers in silence for him, unable to ask him to rest, despite his open support.
🦋The tension that Suiren feels ends up exploding into a conflict between Aya and Kawasumi, which is resolved on Valentine's Day when Suiren gives him chocolates.
This event induces more doubts for Suiren, who wonders if in the early stages of the relationship she was happier. Kawasumi, for his part, steps forward to get closer to Suiren using his birthday on March 3 as an excuse.
🦋In the last few chapters we find the heartthrob's decision to give Suiren a much more personal gift for his birthday. Although he does not attend Suiren's party with his group of friends due to his karate practices, the choker topped by a butterfly that he gives her is very symbolic.
The present excites Suiren and leads her to briefly reflect on herself, although we do not find a development, since the volume closes with a brief advance on the next plot twist.
As a curiosity, this volume includes an extra chapter in which we see the origin of Koharu's love for Kawasumi.
Conclusion: It is difficult to objectively assess a volume when the story seems to represent passages from a person's life, as is my case now, but I believe that the beauty of these chapters lies in trying to understand the other and love them despite their rough edges.
Valuation: 4'5 🌸

♡ kawasumi was ADORABLE when saying suiren what he likes about her and later also saying that the only person who should know what he does like about her is suiren only

This Ato seems to be trouble, though he was clearly friendly enough with the boys before the events of this series if they still look up to him and consider him a friend. He seems to have a rather skewed and negative view on relationships though, and that could hurt those around him, including Suiren and Kawasumi. Not entirely clear why Aya got so mand at Kawasumi in the beginning there, especially when it was Ato that kept trying to throw him under the bus and rile everyone up. It's good the Suiren and Kawasumi at least were able to talk before things escalated any further.

...Atohira is a jerk. Like, there's a fun kind of character that stirs up drama, and there's him. Speaking of drama, Suiren and Kawasumi have a fight... kinda.
Then we're on to Valentine's Day, Suiren's Birthday, the start of the new school year, and Ryo maybe finding a girlfriend. And at the very end, Koharu has a bonus chapter.
Is Ichi every going to do anything other than glare? He made the cover, but he's done almost nothing.

I was a bit frustrated with Kawasumi in the 6th book, but he seems to be taking his relationship with Suiren more seriously in this volume which makes me happy.

A slow burn romance of two high schoolers that are getting closer and more open with each other.
The cover is deceptive. Although it reflects Ichi, he’s not even present in the volume except for a very few panels with no dialogues. However, Ichi seems to know more than he lets on and something tells me we might be seeing more of him in future volumes.
The volume starts off in Kawasumi’s perspective on New Year’s Day, spending it with Ryousuke and his injured arm in tow. It’s followed by a misunderstanding, that Kawasumi clears and his relationship with Suiren is getting stronger. On the other hand, Atohira has started to formally join the karate club again and Mina has expressed her feelings for Ryousuke on Valentine’s Day!
This was another slow yet adorable volume. The art as usual is absolutely stunning and I felt that there were more backgrounds in this volume. A lot of the focus was not just on Kawasumi and Suiren’s facial expressions but on their surroundings, body posture and sometimes the reaction of their friends.
I think I’m still not liking Atohira much. He seems to be coming in between Suiren and Kawasumi and sometimes his remarks are too straightforward and hurtful. I think there are better ways and circumstances to say and guide as an older sempai, if that’s his aim. Every time I see Atohira, I know I’m not going to enjoy it as much and I’m not sure why he is competing with Kawasumi. Kawasumi seems to genuinely respect and look up to Atohira as an idol.
The side story with Ryousuke felt sudden and a bit misplaced but it occurs during Valentine’s so I guess plausible. I would have liked it if we got to see it develop in the previous volumes, since now I’m not sure about Mina’s personality and if I should ship them or not. Mina seems shy about her feelings but almost broke Ryousuke’s heart until Kawasumi helped clear it.
Overall, I enjoyed this manga but I think some things were introduced without much context so there’s no build-up. I would have liked if the story gave Suiren and Kawasumi’s friends some story space so we could better understand and connect with them as well. I do love our main ship but sometimes we need to spice it up!

Ato really needs to mind his own business! But that’s teenagers for you… Either too scared to speak their minds or impulsively tell you everything that’s on their minds LOL. It’s a part of growing up though!
Ahhhh Suiren and Kawasumi are just too adorable. This story is so slow but I think that you just need that sometimes. Enjoy the fluff!
