Can Swan prevent the situation erupting into an all-out war and make it out alive?

This case looks like a major government cover up that could shake the very foundations of national security . . .

1980. During a routine military test, a tank commander goes rogue turning the quiet Dorset range into a bloody battlefield. With a possible traitor in their midst and a stolen military weapon, Swan is determined to find the truth. Another Soviet spy has recently been uncovered within the Secret Services and Swan must tread carefully to bring this traitor to justice.

David also writes for an international aviation related hobby magazine and is a reporter for his local newspaper. David has written seven novels in the Alex Swan Spy Thriller series which has been dubbed by The Big Thrill magazine as “A Cold War Sherlock Holmes”
His favourite authors of this particular genre are Frederick Forsyth, Charles Cumming, John Le Carre, Len Deighton and Robert Harris. His other chosen authors from other genres include Peter James, and Ian Rankin. For sheer escapism, David loves to re-visit the classics with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jules Verne and Alexander Dumas as his go to authors. However, David has said that he will generally read anything in order to broaden his personal perspective of the written word.
David has also written a romantic Christmas novella set during the Cold War, and a children’s World War II adventure novel.
Under a new pen name of Dave Becker comes Fallen Shadows, the first book of a brand new thriller trilogy set in the City of London.

Whilst these aren't my usual reading, I have to say I really enjoyed them. They aren't particularly formulaic, which is nice. I wouldn't exactly say they are spy thrillers, more like investigative cases starting at the time of the cold war and going up to 1980.

Disappointing
Way too much detail in trivial dialog, so distracting it was difficult to follow the real purpose of situations

A throughly good set of books
Not good books to read at night, you lose all track of time and before you notice it 11pm suddenly becomes midnight.
I enjoyed reading every book I now have to find a book thats as good to replace it.
