Another good read. It took me a minute to realize who Cillian was as well as his sister and friends Virgo and Dante.
This story was a good one and I did like both characters. The only thing is I wish the climax wasn't so rushed.

1.5* Really badly written in places. It did get better near the end but still really disappointing.
I was going to take a break from this series but I wanted to read Cillian’s book, I really wish I hadn’t now. It was so badly written in places that it’s really annoying. Cillian is the worst leader of the Irish mob, EVER! After Cillian is conned out of a quarter of a million dollars by a man he trusted, I was questioning his intelligence! His employee Harlon is married to Chloe’s mother who borrows the money off Cillian for her restaurant. Her restaurant that if he had checked is massively in debt and has been failing for years!!! Cillian OWNS A BANK AND HE DIDN’T DO ANY FINANCIAL CHECKS BEFORE GIVING THEM THE MONEY! OH COME ON!
Chloe hadn’t seen her mother for three years after getting together with a man that her mom hated, as he was obviously controlling her. Not sure why she didn’t ring her mom after she splits up from her boyfriend, (Yes he was abusive and worse.) When Chloe finally checks her old phone (Her new phone is never mentioned again.) her cousin has rang and her mother has had a huge heart attack. Luckily for Chloe as soon as Cillian sees Chloe he wants her and lets her off with the debt, but there’s a price to pay, she agrees to marry him for six months and he’ll pay her debts. Of course they’re soon madly in love but Cillian who is a total wimp can’t face anything happening to Chloe so he won’t stay with her after six months. AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!!! Chloe has already had bad things happen to her and Cillian knows that, it’s ridiculous!!!
While this is all going on the enemy from the last book is threatening Cillian. This man who has managed to destroy a lot of Cillian’s businesses is running rings round Cillian, yet when it’s revealed who he is, he’s really stupid! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It’s so frigging obvious who it is, and he knows that the man he’s looking for has a distinctive tattoo on his arm. CHECK ALL YOUR STAFF AND ANYONE WHO COMES INTO CONTACT WITH YOU!!! It’s so obvious. 😡😡😡
Again there’s hardly any mention of Dante’s wife. At one point it names everyone who has at a certain place but not her. It’s weird!!!
Sorry but it’s terrible. I won’t spoil it but there’s obviously no research been done about a certain plot.

This is a well written dark mafia with strong characters and an interesting storyline. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes perfectly. She pulled me in with the chemistry, suspense and danger. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific read.

5 + Cillian and Chloe's story was one of those books I was immediately drawn to the main characters. There is no time wasted in deciding if you connect with the characters because for me it was immediate. Cillian is everything I like my anti-hero to be in these stories. He is tough when he needs to be and protective and loving, and relentless in protecting those he loves. This is a combination of a revenge trope, love story and a coming of age. Cillian finds out that he can have not only the woman he falls in love with but also get the revenge/perpetrator who has brought him so much pain and sorrow to him and his family.
Chloe is one tough MFC. Her character has a horrible backstory which the author gives ample time to without overusing too many flashbacks. Her character upon coming to see her estranged mother is then exposed to one catastrophe after another. She finds out how both she and her mother have been used and lied to by the men in their lives including her mother's husband who Chloe knew nothing about. While she and her mother dig through the lies and the truth they reunite amongst all the chaos.
What begins as a demand from Cillian to Chloe to recover the money her mother's husband owes turns into a story that takes you on a ride of twists and turns similar to a roller coaster. Nothing is as it seems with many characters and players emerging and enemies flying under the radar. Cillian must step up the the task of heading his branch of the Irish Mafia after the untimely death of his father and mother. He is also tasked with keeping the legal side running efficiently which is riddled with those that want to take that down as well.
Chloe and Cillian's story is one full of angst, redemption and a love that becomes stronger than each character every imagined. Seamus and Chloe's cousin are wonderful secondary characters who help both characters grasp their future together. I enjoyed all the secondary characters in this book, each adding an important part to the story.

A. because her mom knew that he was bad news with her telling her that she wanted run her and left. Cillian his very smitten by her and will stop at anything to get her even though it's inappropriate because of what's going on with him and her family. He stalks her and forced her to have a drink with him and play a game which could change her future. He had two European secret society coin one with a queen and the other with a dragon. If she chooses the queen everything stays the same and she would still owe him the debt. However, if she chooses the dragon he would absolve her of her mother's debt and he wants twenty minutes with her. She chooses the dragon and her debt was absolved. However, although Cillian absolve her of the debt that she owed him she was still desperate for money because her mother needs a new heart and the surgery cost two hundred thousand dollars and if she doesn't receive it she will be gone in two to three months. Cillian got one taste of her orally and he was hooked and although he told her goodbye he couldn't leave her alone and started stalking her every move. One day when checked the tracker that he had on her phone he noticed that she was at Decadence a sleazy sex club he know that that couldn't be right but he went to check anyway. When he got there she was just about to go have sex with fifteen men. He was livid and snatched her up out of there. Chloe was so desperate to help her mom that she would do anything even if she didn't want to. And when she tells Cillian everything that was going on he called her cousin Roxanne then her mother's doctor and paid for everything.
Cillian couldn't see himself being with anyone else and when is uncle Seamus tells him about the marriage clause in his inheritance as leader. He made her a proposition of being his wife for six months.
Cillian needs to be fully named succession of the O'Ridian mafia family and clan. But in order to do so he needs a wife in six weeks. He would only need to stay married for six months to solidify his position of the clan. He automatically became the leader of the clan after the death of his father but if he's not married he won't receive everything that goes with the title. His position could be challenged by the Gallaghers who have been vying for leadership position for years. Chloe loves Cillian so it was an easy yes for her. As their marriage progress Cillian became more possessive and obsessed with his wife. His uncle Seamus doesn't want Cillian to end his marriage after six months but instead give it a try for the happily-ever-after. As he continued to hunt he realized that his enemy was right in his face all along and that's why he's always ahead of them. It wasn't until Chloe left that Lance a.ka. Adrian who was her cousins Roxanne boyfriend made his final move against Cillian.
He killed Cillian parents because of a bad deal with his father and he his goal was to get the money that the O'Ridians owed him and killed the Irish King but it wasn't as easy as he thought, so he blackmail Chloe to poison her husband or her mom dies. As it turns out his real name is Borya Tarvorski and he had orchestrated the whole meeting from accidentally running into Roxanne because he wanted to get on the inside closer to get to Cillian. But Chloe couldn't kill her husband and they tricked him and Cillian killed him. Chloé finally got her happily-ever-after after being in a horrible relationship and had given up on men. A suspenseful read that's demands to be read.

As he continued to hunt he realized that his enemy was right in his face all along and that's why he's always ahead of them. It wasn't until Chloe left that Lance a.ka. Adrian who was her cousins Roxanne boyfriend made his final move against Cillian.
He killed Cillian parents because of a bad deal with his father and he his goal was to get the money that the O'Ridians owed him and killed the Irish King but it wasn't as easy as he thought, so he blackmail Chloe to poison her husband or her mom dies. As it turns out his real name is Borya Tarvorski and he had orchestrated the whole meeting from accidentally running into Roxanne because he wanted to get on the inside closer to get to Cillian. But Chloe couldn't kill her husband and they tricked him and Cillian killed him. Chloé finally got her happily-ever-after after being in a horrible relationship and had given up on men. A suspenseful read that's demands to be read.

Amazingly Awesome
Wow Faith your stories are NEVER disappointing. Cillian and Chloe's love story was amazing. The instant love at first sight.
They both experienced deep pain. Cillian on the hunt to find the man that killed his parents. The family loyalty and bond with his men and close friends. Cillian needed a wife to keep what is rightfully his.
Chloe meeting Cillian due to a debt caused by others. The love for her mom trying to save her life.
Both agreed to marry for six months. And the fun begins.
Lots of adventure and suspense not knowing what is around the corner. The different emotions; Love pain hurt fear joy trust etc. were felt. So detailed you can envision the words.
Their love for each wanting to keep Chloe safe from his world. Not end the marriage. Two different worlds connecting.
Faith you brought it all together nicely, really surprised on the villain.

This is the story of Cillian and Chloe. Cillian became the head of the Irish Mafia after his parents were killed by Lance Polinsky. Cillian has been trying to find Lance since his parents were murdered. Lance continues to be a thorn in Cillian’s side. Chloe wanted to be a ballerina. She was dating a man named Nate and she had a blowup with her mother. Chloe moved to LA with Nate and she got a job as a ballerina but Nate was a cruel, possessive man and he beat Chloe and threw her down the stairs and broke her legs. Chloe was finally able to get free from Nate after he killed two people in front of her and she turned him in. Chloe hasn’t seen her mother for over three years and Chloe gets a call that her mom was in the hospital after she had a heart attack. Chloe flew back to New York to find her mother in a coma and when Chloe went home to her old home she found mafia men waiting for her. Cillian is looking for Harlan who is married to Chloe’s mother and Harlan stole from Cillian. The debt is quarter of a million dollars. Chloe never knew that her mother married. Chloe feels a connection with Cillian. Cillian needs a wife for six months so that he can claim all the benefits of being a leader of the Irish Mafia. Cillian decides he wants Chloe. She has a close relationship with her mother and her cousin and do what it takes to preserve her family legacy. She is also sweet and kind and doesn’t hide her emotions.
Cillian leads the Irish mafia and has decided to close off his emotions so that he can remain focused. He spares no expense when it comes to things and people he cares about and remains steadfast to the Creed. He does go for what he wants but also will make sacrifices on his part if needed.
These two meet by chance as Cillian has ties to Chloe’s step father. He is instantly drawn to her passion kind heart and while Chloe hesitates at first, she is willing to soak up the time she has with someone who proves time and again that he cares for her well-being. They have easy and playful banter but come along some bumps when it comes time to decide what trajectory their relationship will take. However we see how their feelings grow and cheer for them on their journey.
Along the way we have a suspenseful plot line where Cillian is trying to track down the person who has wronged him. There are twists and unexpected turns, keeping us guessing til the very end.
Moreover we see family faces from the prior books in this series though I think, while getting minor spoilers here, you can potentially read this book first and Jen go back to read the others as their plot lines are stand alone.

This is the 3rd story in the Empire of Sinners Series where we find Chloe returning home with a call her mother is in the hospital. After several years away due an argument and no contact Chloe is surprised of all the changes her mother went through, marriage, unexplained loans and debts to some unsavory men. Chloe has had her dreams of being a ballerina destroyed by her ex and learning to walk again and whole is something she had to work extremely hard at. Cillian is in charge of the Irish Clan and high ranking member of The Creed is out to get the traitor, Chloe’s stepfather who stole guns and a large sum of money from him and another family from The Creed. When Cillian confronts Chloe in her home trouble follows. Chloe finds herself with a small amount of time to come up with the money owed but having thoughts about Cillian. These two find themselves in a position neither thought possible and Cillian finds a way into Chloe’s heart. Their two worlds collide and there are those out to destroy what they have and the constant threat from the evilness of others. Cillian is a man out to protect Chloe and her family at all cost and in the end Chloe finds herself in an impossible situation only to have Cillian to come up with a devious plan to end it all!

Chloe comes back to her hometown after learning her mother is sick and in the hospital. Not long after she arrives and makes it to her mother's home, she meets Cillian when she finds him inside the home. Cillian gives her a time to have the money her mother and stepfather borrowed before troubles comes calling. However, she has no idea about a stepfather and shocks Cillian by telling him to look up a case instead of being fearful of him. Cillian goes home and can't stop thinking about her and does what she said and is upset to see what had happened to her. This only makes him want her more. Its not long before things get complicated between them and then he asks her to marry him for six months, Will he see that she means more to him than a six month wife? Can they admit to what they want before its too late?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

4.5 Stars!! Chloe comes home when her mother has a heart attack and is hospitalized. She had been estranged from her mom for a few years and is not sure if she will be happy to see her or not. When she goes into her house though she is met by a group of men who inform her that her mom had married while she was gone and is in debt to them for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Cillian is a young Irish mob boss. He learned that in order to keep his position, he needs to marry and stay married for a minimum of six months. When he meets Chloe there is something about her that makes him feel very protective. He decides that she can pay off her mom's debt by marrying him, strictly a business transaction or is it. There is an instant attraction and some good steam. There is lots going on in this story with some pretty good twists and turns. Enjoy!!

This is the story of Cillian and Chloe. Chloe has been gone for a few years and was estranged from her mother. Coming back home when she found out her mom was sick, Chloe learns that her mom’s husband has borrowed money from the wrong people (Irish Mafia) and left her mother to deal with it. Chloe is willing to do anything to make sure her mother doesn’t lose the legacy of the restaurant or her house. Meeting with Cillian, he was willing to give her a week to pay back the money. But something about Chloe draws Cillian to her. He doesn’t understand why he feels this way about a woman.
When Cillian offers Chloe a way out of the debt and a way to help her mother, will she take it, or will things become more complicated between them? Will Chloe be able to see that Cillian wants more, or will she talk herself out of being enough for him?

3.5 stars … i’m glad I gave this book a chance.
After loving Dante’s book, only to not care much for Virgo’s book, I was a bit hesitant to read Cillian’s story. But I am happy I did. Cillian and Chloe are such a great couple who balance each other out throughout this book. While their meeting is right in line with a mafia book, their connection grabbed me and kept me entertained. Both have been shaped by such horrible events, yet they both kept pushing forward. I felt the push and pull between them was nicely done, not too heavy-handed, and believable enough.
I also liked the secondary characters. While Roxanne and Chloe’s mom helped keep things on the right track for Chloe so she didn’t wallow too much, Seamus did his part to humanize Cillian. I also enjoyed the plot carryover from Virgo’s and Olivia’s book. I also appreciate that I wasn’t able to figure out the villain until almost the end of the book.

Such a Good Fearless Series!
First of all, Cillian and Chloe are perfect leading characters. They are passionate about who they are and what they have to contend with in life. Yet, the author, respectful of their ages had them respond to those circumstances as adults, not outlandish characterizations. The author has achieved this throughout the series and is what keeps me coming back to each book. I loved the twist in the storyline and the resolution to that twist. Bravo to author Faith Summers. She has kept the intrigue, romance, and sizzling for three episodes and I look forward to the next installment. Highly recommending for your reading pleasure and satisfaction. PEACE.

Absolutely well written, full of drama, love, steam, mafia, murder, villains, revenge, action, intrigue, suspense and twists. May have some triggers for some people so please read the author's warnings. Chloe returns home after hearing her mother was in the hospital in a coma. She needs a heart transplant. Cillian meets Chloe while looking for her stepfather who borrowed money from him. She didn't even know that her mother had remarried. Cillian likes what he sees and has her followed. She needs him, he offers marriage to fulfill what he needs . Lots of feelings change from the original agreement so the heat is on. Lots of steamy scenes between them. Surprise who the enemy really is. Curl up and enjoy this book, a real page turner. Would recommend to others.

I knew Cillian O'Ridian's story would be good! He is the boss of the Irish Mafia and besties with Dante and Virgo, heroes of the two prior novels in this series. Cillian had to take on the leadership of his clan when his parents were killed. Mixed with the responsibilities of his clan are his duties to track and dispose of all who partook in the killing of his parents. He has succeeded and only has to find the villain who ordered his parent's takedown if only he knew what the guy looked like! Meanwhile, he needs to collect a debt owed from Chloe Ricci: the manor home she grew up in and the family restaurant started by her great grandparents. From here there is action, mystery, hardship, growing attraction and $ex, and a cast of supporting characters, including the villain who has offended everyone! You'll never guess who he is! Highly recommend this book.

I absolutely adored these two, they were so sweet! This story was fast paced, fun, spicy and suspenseful and I loved it.
I think my only issues were how easily she accepted his help of throwing money at her 😅 I like my FMCs to be a little more hesitant towards handouts... And then how our villain meets his end, it just seemed a bit out there for reasons I won't explain due to spoilers...

I’ve been waiting over a year for Cillian’s story since book 1, Ruthless Sinner. There was something about this Irish mafia boss that intrigued me right away. And like always, Faith did not disappoint me with his story. I loved how he was with Chloe and how he overcame his past fear to give her what they both wanted- forever together. I really liked that Chloe wasn’t from his world, she was innocent and naive to it all, but these two worked perfectly together.
This book had it all, lots of mafia action and suspense, a little ow drama, and a really good love story that was quick, but felt real. Cillian and Chloe were beyond hot together and really steamed up the pages!
I can’t wait for Jaxon and his runaway brides story next!

OMG!! I was riveted to my seat from the start until the very end I couldn't put the book down, the storyline had depth and emotions and the characters were sensational. Cillian O'Ridian he is a ruthless, dangerous king of the Irish Mafia. Chloe Ricci she can be nieve by trusting, but when it comes to her mum she is not as sweet. Cillian went to collect a debt and Chloe pleaded they need more time, Cilian had a better idea because it helped the both of them, now they have to realise it is only for six months, they didn't even last a month, they were hot and heavy and happy.

Chloe has returned home after surviving an abusive relationship. Her mother is in a coma. She learns that her mother's new husband has put her in debt and she may loose the family restaurant and home.
Chloe meets Cillian when he comes to her mom's house to collect the debt and find her step-father.
Their attraction is there and while it quickly progresses to a fake marriage, it also feels like a slow burn.
Chloe and Cillian are likeable characters. The story flows well. I did figure out who Lance was before it was revealed. The ending did seem to come rather quickly.

Cillian O’Ridian, the head of the Irish Mafia holds her mother's debts, but he is willing to work with Chloe on the repayment of those loans, he needs a wife for six months and she would be perfect. Plus they are wildly attracted to each other. Great characters, a well-paced storyline, the book is full of sizzle, steam, action, drama, and more. Great read.

Book 3 in this series and oh so good. If you are looking for books that are written well and have great characters, like to read about the Mafia and men who protect the people they love then this is the right author and books to read. Cillian is the head of the Irish Mafia and Chloe has been through a lot of tough times. The chemistry between these 2 is undeniable and very steamy. When their lives are in danger, can they find a way out?? You will have to read the book to find out what happens next. #badboyupdate
