About the author

Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!

Worst Couple Ever

As always, the book is really well written and the plot was good. The main couple, however, are completely unlikeable. Especially Dillion. Immature, apathetic, unmotivated, are just a few of the words that describe her. Like a teenager pretending to be grownup. Pretty much sums up Clink as well. Good Lord…

So excited for Humble’s story! After getting to know his sister in the previous book, I was excited to see what would happen to him once he was out of jail and Hayley did not disappoint! Dillon ran away from her family and everything they stood for years ago, but when she finds out her brother is dead and he left his house in her name, she relocates to town to figure out her next move since life wasn’t what she expected it to be after leaving. At night, Dillon is woken up by a man and while she understands that is not normal or okay, she can’t seem to fight the feelings and chemistry she has with the man. Turns out that man is Humble, and he’s sneaking in because he owns her based on the rules of the MC and what happened with her brother, but ideally, he would like her to want him for him rather than the MC rules. This book had a wild ride with the continued storyline with the Southern Mafia, and it was shocking that there were more people in the MC’s close circle that were traitors. I’ll be interested to see how Hayley wraps everything up in the next book since it’s slated to be the final book in the series.

Not enough connection

I wouldn't consider this stand alone. I've read the first 2 and likes those. But was completely lost with Humble and how this situation of owning Dillion came to be. I never got a good feeling of how he actually came to care about her. And on her side, she was way too easy on him after finding out the truth. I hate when a fmc is legitimately upset by the mmc's actions, and rarher than have him grovel, apologize, explain, etc he shuts her up with his magical skills and all is forgiven. The writing is good but I just didn't buy the relationship. She barely knew him.

Another MC Winner

This is another five-star read from this very talented author. I love how her MC men are all alpha and protective and that is just what Humble is. Dillion is not the pretty wallflower and she knows when its time to come home. What she doesn’t know it that Humble, who is a member of the Dark Horse MC, is the man who is going to possess her whether she likes it or not.

This was a book that kept me engrossed throughout with the lies, steam, club drama and everything I love in my MC romances. As always, I cannot wait for the next book to come from this author.

I thought that this read was really breath taking. The story is intense, dramatic, emotional, steamy, poignant, dark and unpredictable. Dillon and Humble take you for one epic rollercoaster ride you do not want to miss.

A great book!

I really liked this book, despite some things that I found missing. The plot is flowing and kept me invested and thirsty to learn more. I was already anticipating Clink’s story since the hints we got in the previous book – and it didn’t disappoint!

I generally liked both Dillon and Clink (aka Humble), as they were both determined and very down-to-earth in my opinion. But there were some character traits in both of them that I found difficult to like. Clink is in love with her – obsessed is more accurate – but he has a firm belief that she is rightfully his anyway, because of her brother’s mistakes that caused him to spent three years in prison. And he doesn’t find anything unnatural about it. Dillon is portrayed as a strong woman from everyone around her – Clink, the other women etc. – but she thinks the complete opposite about herself in every aspect. And her reactions in many occasions made me think that she is somewhat right – apart from the fact that she chose to flee and leave her horrible family (the Southern Mafia) behind and her constant talk about not letting anyone control her again – just not in that extreme degree. There is a bit of lack of communication between them, but this is somewhat understandable due to the particular circumstances and the nature of their initial relationship – he knows everything about her, she doesn’t. On the upside, I loved the “secret nightly lover” idea, as unrealistic as it might have been, Clink’s insanely Alpha behavior toward Dillon, and Dillon’s everyday struggles that made her feel so much real in my eyes. And the rollercoaster of events kept me sitting on the edge of my seat.

So, despite its weaknesses, I think this was a great addition to the series and I definitely recommend it. I can’t wait to find more about the rest of the guys – I think that I would love to find out about Nash next! 4 stars.

Hayley Faiman is the best at writing MC and Mafia books. She's amazing and you'll fall in love with the character with just one chapter.
Her books are dark, intense and so freaking hot with a twist that will leave you breathless.
Filthy Liar is her latest release and the fifth book from the Dark Horse MC Series.
Have you met the Dark Horse hunks?
I advise you to do so. Read this series from the beginning and get ready.
This book explores the lives of Humble and Dillion.
Humble is one of the Dark Horse MC brothers. He was arrested in the name of his club and was "given" a new bride.
Dillion just moved into her brother's house. She just wanted to get away from her family from hell. She wants to live her life out of their reach but...
Dayum... Just Dayum...
This book was so so good.
Loved the way the story progressed and I can't deny that there were parts of the book that I wanted to hit someone...
One minute things are flowing smoothly and the next, a hurricane is coming to take everything in its path.
Jesus.
Humble is that alfa guy who knows what he wants and doesn't ask for it. He takes it.
Anf Dillion... Dillion had suffered so much that she just wanted to get away.
Love their interactions and the hot stuff... Boy Oh Boy.
It was amazing to have news from the other Dark Horse Guys as well as their wives.
Overall, it was another amazing book that I didn't want to end.
Great series Hayley. Loved it.

This is the story of Humble and Dillon. Dillon left her family and everything they ever stood for a long time ago. But, when she finds out her brother is dead and left her his house, she picks up and moves to the place he has left for her. She is alone in this world. No friends, no money. She is a Mafia princess but she is tired of being a pawn in their games. But once she moves in she can't explain or rationalize why a man keeps climbing into her window and bed a few nights each week. She never sees his face but she is even less prepared when the ladies of the MC her brother was in take her under their wing because she is one of them. But Humble is owed restitution for the time he spent in prison because he was betrayed and framed by Dillon's brother. Therefore she is promised to Humble. You will understand all this as it is explained in the book. I really feel for these characters. Dillon is a strong girl who is facing a lot of unknowns and she sure isn't about to be a pawn in anyone else's game. Humble is a guy who is more than attracted to Dillon but he also wants to own her and she can't let that stand. She isn't from this world but she will soon find out what everything is all about. I loved reading this book. I didn't want to lay it down while I was reading.

This is the 5th book in the Dark Horse MC series featuring the deliciously dark and steamy intense and emotional MC romance between Humble and Dillion. Dillion has learned that her brother has died and that he has left her his house so she moves to Pineville. Dillion is a mafia princess who never wanted to be associated with her family and now in Pineville she feels at peace for the first time. What she doesn't know is that her brother promised her to Humble to pay him back for framing him and putting him in jail. Dillion is concerned about why a few times a week a guy keeps climbing in her window and getting into bed with her but she doesn't ever see his face. Humble is ready to collect his restitution he's definitely attracted to Dillion so much that he wants to own her and he knows that she's his and only his but Dillion is unaware of who Humble is. When the two of them face escalating danger and it seems that Dillion is in more danger than Humble will he be able to keep her safe? When the truth finally comes out will it change anything for them when it comes to their feelings? You really need to read this deliciously dark and steamy intense and emotional MC romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

The fifth book from Hayley Faiman’s Dark Horse MC series brings readers Humble and Dillon’s story. Theirs is a well written action packed story. Family, loyalty, emotions, secrets and betrayal all add to making this insta-lust page turner, one addictive read. As a result of betrayal within the club Humble, who’s club treasurer was sent to prison for three years and is fueled by revenge along with the rest of his club. Dillon was tired of being a pawn in her mafia family and had escaped them, and all they represented years ago. When her brother dies she inherits his house and decides to move there, what she doesn’t know is that Humble has in a way inherited her, she now belongs to him because of the part her brother played in his imprisonment. Dillon’s a strong, independent woman but is she strong enough to resist Humble when she finds out he’s been nothing but a Filthy Liar?

I highly recommend this author’s work and look forward to reading more from them.

Hayley has brought you another MC story like no one else can. This was intense, emotional, dark, steamy and unpredictable. Hayley has a way of writing a downright hard-core storyline with a twist of love and tenderness. This shows that off.
Dillion is back in town after learning that she has gained her brother's house after his death. She has no idea what to do with it or herself. The only thing she knows is that she wants to start over away from everything that was her old life.
Humble has his own demons to deal with. But he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dillion belongs to him and him only.
These two start off in a very unique way. Humble comes into Dillion's room every night but Dillion has no idea who is his. Things escalate and they both are in danger. Dillion more so than Humble. But the truth comes out. Will it change how they feel for each other? Will Humble be able to keep her safe? Will Dillion be able to get past the lies?
This was a gripping intense storyline with two amazing characters who are not only hardcore but tender. One very addictive read.

Dillion never wanted anything to do with her Southern Mafia family, but when she inherits a house from her brother, she moves to Pineville and takes up residence. She finds it to be peaceful and freeing after having been a commodity as a mafia princess. She doesn't know that she also has been promised as restitution to Clink (Humble) for his having been framed by her late brother and sent to prison.

I liked this latest book in the series. Dillion is a strong, independent women, tired of being used as a pawn. Although she is totally attracted to Humble, she isn't about to give him a pass when it comes to honesty and his need to own her. Humble is willing to wait as long as it takes for Dillion to trust him and decide to stay with him. Their story is fraught with danger, action, betrayal, and plot twists to hold your interest. There is also love, friendship, loyalty, plenty of steam and a HEA.

Filthy Liar is the fifth story in the Dark Horse MC. Filthy Liar is the journey of Dillion and Clink. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this phenomenal MC romance story. I couldn’t even set down this book because I wanted to see what would happen between Dillion and Clink. I thought their story to be well-written, well-balanced, and exceptionally well-executed. Author Hayley Faiman is a fantastic writer and storyteller. I also think she does a fantastic job with the way she writes this story and the way she gives life to the story. Filthy Liar is an ease to read, has wonderful characters, a happily ever after, romantic/steamy, a definite page-turner, suspenseful, and overall a pleasure to read. I would definitely recommend this amazing MC romance story. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes out next from this amazing author.

Dillion has no one. She left what is left of her family behind and has no friends or money. All she has is the house her brother left her and the guy who climbs in her bed a few times a week, but she doesn’t even know what he looks like or his name. One encounter with the old ladies in the bakery changes her entire life. They decide to keep her. She doesn’t really understand what that means for quite a while. She also meets a Clink/Humble there and finds him absolutely beautiful—too beautiful for her. But he is all in. Hidden agendas, secrets, huge betrayals, and lies both big and small start coming out, bringing war. I like the ladies bringing Dillion in right away. It was a little annoying that Dillion and Humble had such a hard time sharing information between them. She usually can’t even make herself ask simple questions, like why his room was suddenly so clean. Humble does a pretty good job of understanding her and he accepts everything about her, though he really dropped the ball not calling or texting for so long. Dillion just flounders most of the story, very lost. That was the saddest part to me.

Another great MC romance by Hayley Faiman. Let me start by saying Hayley writes fantastic MC stories. Clink, who goes by his MC name, Humble, has been away in prison and returns to the MC and to Dillion who basically belongs to him now. He sneaks into her bed under the cover of darkness while she is sleeping for steamy sex. She thinks she knows who it is, but not his name. She's new to the town and has no friends. She spends her time making plans to leave, but somehow can't seem to go. She has no money and is living in the house her brother left her. The story hooked from the first page; it has all the elements of a fantastic MC book; sexy MC men and their beautiful women, and danger just around the corner. I wasn't sure where Humble and Dillion were headed in this relationship. Loved Humble's character and was waiting for him to fall in love with Dillion.

I didn't dislike this book but it will not go down as a favorite. Dillon and Humble were a good couple but it gave off a tad bit of ick what Humble was doing to Dillon. Knowing that Humble took ownership of Dillon due to Loner's betrayal was weird. It was mentioned that Loner did what he did because the other crew threatened to kill Dillon should have offered a little more prospective but it obviously did not. I didn't see the point in Humble treating her the way he did in secret and why did she allow it to go on without saying a word. Then when she finally met Humble face to face she just jumped in with him on the same night of the party. It was so confusing and made me want to scream a million times over. Wasn't my best read despite my love for this author.

This is the fifth book in this impressive series, and this is Humble and Dillon’s story.
Humble is fueled by revenge after a betrayal sent him to prison, and he is now the treasurer for the Dark Horse MC. Dillon is strong and independent, and she is tired of being a pawn in her mafia family and has escaped them and everything they represent. When Dillon inherits her brother’s house, she moves for a fresh start, not knowing she belongs to Humble.
This is a well written action packed story, with family, loyalty, emotions, secrets, betrayal, drama, instant lust, an age gap, revelations, danger, suspense, intrigue, vengeance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, unpredictable, and twisted, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

As expected I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Hayley has such a way of creating such wonderful morally grey men who check off all the right qualities for book boyfriends. Humble, the MMC did not disappoint! He was morally grey, alpha, possessive, stubborn and fell hard for his woman!!! The FMC, Dillion was a great character as well. She stood up for herself, had a feisty attitude but also had chemistry galore with her man.

If you enjoy MC romance, lots of spice/smut and entertaining plot then you will enjoy this one! I highly recommend you check out this whole series!

This book is spicy spicy spicy! I just freaking loved Clink!!! He was so fun to read, I can’t imagine how fun he was to write! Filthy Liar is the 5th book in the Dark Horse MC series.

Sweet Dillion. I just wanted to reach into this book and give her a hug. She struggled so much with her family’s past and fitting in to her current life. I enjoyed seeing her becoming friends with the other guys wives. Clink/Humble is my favorite Dark Horse. Honestly he was possessive, alpha, dirty talking and most of all…loved Dillion so much. The whole thing was a great read.

Dillon is floating through life not really finding her purpose. She has left her family behind and wants nothing to do with their criminal enterprises. She moves to Pineville after her brother dies and she inherits his house. Humble has recently been released from prison and is trying to find his way forward. He meets Dillon at the local bakery, even though he has "known" her for months, and invites her to a party at the clubhouse. The attraction is instantaneous and although Dillon fights it because of his association with the MC, Humble will not let her go. This is a high heat, dark, MC romance with a ton of action.

This is the first book I have read in the Dark Horse MC series. I love that this book stared off with the spicy. This book is wild because Dillion wakes up to a stranger touching her in the middle of the night and she just goes with it. I must say as a dark romance reader I am here for it. Clink is a very interesting I liked both of the main characters. This story is a dark romance and my have some very questionable context that so people may not like. It is just a book and I take it for it is which is spicy entertainment. I liked the plot. I thought over all it was a good read. It kept me interested and invested. I would read again.

Holy cow what a wolf and exciting ride this book was!!! I couldn’t put it down until the end. This book is a dark MC romance and touches on farm themes and topics. The storyline was original, page-turning and filled with drama, mystery, suspense, action and smoking hot spice!!! This book can be read as a stand alone but it has a backstory that continues through each book. The characters were complex and had a crazy undeniable chemistry. Do not miss this book or series!!! I devoured this book in one day and can’t wait to see what happens next!!! The anticipation of what’s going to happen next is nail-biting!!.

3.5 stars for Humble and Dillion

I enjoyed this book in spite of the unconventional beginning of Humble and Dillion's relationship. This book was well written with so many steamy hot moments and some added fast paced drama.
Although, Humble and Dillion did not know each other very well, their connection and chemistry was definitely evident. I liked how Humble was obsessed with Dillion and his feelings for her was fast and unwavering.
Dillion had her moments of uncertainty but she was still fierce and strong in her own way. She needed Humble and the MC old ladies in her life to realize she was worth more and to believe in herself.
Overall, this book was a quick and easy read and another enjoyable addition to the series.

It took a while before I felt that connection with Humble and Dillion, but boy I loved how their story ended! I especially loved the “cupcake” at the end.
I can’t believe there’s only one more book to go in this series. I have enjoyed each and every book and couple. These guys love hard and would do anything for their women, and I love that. Hayley did a phenomenal job at writing the FMC for each book to perfectly match their man.
From book 1 right through to this book, it’s been nothing but action, twist and turns, betrayal and of course a little drama thrown in and a whole lot of HOT sexy moments!

This was another fab one-sit read for me that really had some fun elements to it. This is a mafia and MC drama rich story and I loved seeing poor Dillion get a fab HEA with Clink. He was so devoted to her but it took some time for him to be ready to step up. Dillion needed all the love after escaping her mafia family, only she didn't get as far as she thought.... Expect a wild reading ride with lots of drama, chemistry, secrets, action and steam as these two work their way to an HEA. I especially loved the cupcake ending and can't wait for the last book to come out to see how this series ends. So fun!

Oohhh this books hits from so many angles.

I wanted to hate the way Clink played with Dillion and the backwards thinking that made him believe she belonged to him.

Yet I fell so hard for him when he declared early on that he realised he loved her.

Drama and intense dark moments pepper this book but really it’s a deeply romantic book at its core.

I loved the characters, the MC group and the way the author really got into the heads of the main characters.

Looking forward to the final book in the series but hope this spins off more (I NEED to know about Nash and James!).

Whatever this woman writes grips you by the front of your throat just like what her characters do to their women.
She writes about characters that welcome you into their inner circle and hug you till you can’t breathe.
It’s a love story for Clink of the Devils Horse MC. Three years ago he was thrown in prison ( we learned this in the last book). Fast forward three years and he’s got himself a woman that he just worships… mind you it’s as a secret lover to her in the middle of the night. Until she finds out from one of the people she hates in this world.
Does she stay with him?
Does she run like she wants to?
I know I say this every time I read a book by Ms Faiman but this has to be in my top 5 favorites from her!

This is the fifth in the Dark Horse MC series. Dillon has inherited her brother's house after he paid the price for betraying the club. Clink/Humble has been sneaking into the house and into her bed each night but leaves before daylight. He plans are making her his old lady but just not yet. Dillon has had a lot of emotional trauma due to her family.

Both the club and Dillon's past come to put a wrench in those plans when she is abducted. Clink is ready to scorch the earth to find her. Cannot wait for the next in this series.
