Beautiful heartfelt story of the mighty oak
The thing that grabs you most about this book is the stunning illustrations. The young girl running barefoot over familiar ground, to meet up with her loving mother waiting beneath the great oak tree is truly breath taking. I felt as if I were there running into the forest myself. The surrounding nature is captured beautifully too. The sense of connection between humans, animals and the trees is just wonderful. There is so much to spot in each image. A book well worth checking out.

Deserves A 10 Star!
I have read tons of children’s books and this will stand in my heart for a very long time! This book is so beautifully written and illustrated and has such a powerful message. You can feel the love and passion that the author put into this book with every single word. Absolutely amazing book and every person should read this book!

HEART WARMING and HEART-RENDING!
The Acorn and the Oak, is poignant story that resonates with us all, touching both the deep pockets of sorrow and of joy. Along with the Beautifully illusutrated pictures it takes you on a jouney with a little girl and her love and loss of a tree. But reading it, you will know that, it is about so much more. The symbolism starts with the story beginning in the Summer and ending in the Winter. This story will encapulate you with the feeling of a warm hug, from everyone you ever knew and everything around you.
