The song calls me to the gates, but vengeance demands I ignore it.
Now a student at the Academy, Leo has complicated his training by joining a second school. The School of Aura will teach him the Song and the power within it, but the School of Craftsmanship may lead to the vengeance he seeks.
First, he must prove himself within the School of Craftsmanship.
However, a threat to the fae lingers outside the city, and only an aura can stop it. Halden might not know how to stop the danger that comes.
It might take more than an aura and their magic. It might need a member of the Guild.
But can he prove himself to the Guild in time?
The Wayward Chronicles continues this epic journey as Leo searches for his place in the world. He’s destined to become more than Wayward. He’s destined to become a part of the Song itself.
I enjoyed this book but it lost me in some aspects of the magic building. It seems to me to be a “The Name of the Wind” lite book.
This is a PSA to all books with sequels releases dates far in advance. PLEASE write a foreword so we can pick up right where we were with the character and not stumble around the first few chapters remembering the dynamics and names.
So much Repetitive information. Why? So many paragraphs to skip over because it is saying the same thing again and again. The magic is inventive. The man child is irritating. The characters are not that well developed. Missed opportunities abound.
Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
