Little Lost #6

King Daddy

Rate this book
He’s the most hated and dangerous man in town. The only good thing he’s ever done for this world is his sons. That probably won’t change.

Beau is the biggest weapons dealer on the west coast. He built an empire from the ground up. Having the world at his fingertips, and giving the world to his family, cost him everything. He went from having a beautiful life to a drug addicted wife and son. Then he lost it all except the money that brings no warmth. He’s bitter and done. That’s not a good combination for someone as deadly as him. There’s only one person who doesn’t fear him or look at him with disgust. Kylo has no idea how much danger he’s in.

Kylo lives in his head. Always has. For the most part, that’s fine. He doesn’t have any responsibilities, so he’s free to be his Little self. The only area he’s lacking is his love life. There aren’t many men out there searching for someone strange like him. It’s one thing to be a Little, but to also be odd is too much for most people. Beau looks at him in a way no one else ever has. It’s too bad the guy could get him killed. He’s not the first.

King Daddy is the sixth book in Charity Parkerson’s Little Lost series where adorable, sometimes bratty, and scared Littles meet the men of their dreams.

At one point I was hell bent on not reading this book after the cruelty Beau displayed in all the previous books. the author taught us to hate him for the monster he was. His behavior toward his sons, his wife and then Adan, was despicable and there was no way for a redemption arc to be possible.
And then you realize that in each book, a deed was done by Beau that showed his kind side always existed yet hidden deep.
Beau was larger than life and the only way to counter balance his aura was to match him with a character who's aura was just as bright or bright to his darkness.
Kylo was such a surprise. From their first stunning meeting in Dangerous Daddy (chapter 6) when he crowned him "King Boo" , Kylo showed us he was a unique creature and in this book we got to marvel at all his bad-assness. Strong enough to match Beau and delicate enough to be exactly what Beau needs to be his better self.
I loved this story and even though I can't totally forgive Beau for past deeds, I'm glad we got to meet, Kylo one of the most wonderful characters in Charity Parkerson's books.
This was a beautiful conclusion to this series.

Beau, a ruthless weapons dealer, has built an empire at the cost of everything—his family, his happiness, and his soul. Now bitter and dangerous, he has little left except his sons and a fortune that means nothing. Kylo, lost in his own world, is one of the few who doesn’t fear or despise him. But his innocence and eccentricity put him in grave danger, as Beau is not the first man who could cost Kylo his life.

I loved this story with themes of power, loss, and unlikely connections. Both men were perfect for each other as they learnt to trust each other. There were lots of big emotions and feelings as they discussed all of their history with family and relationships. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

I am not sure how I feel about an author that gives us a character to hate and then pulls the rug out from under our feet by making us turn around and love them... 🤔🤷‍♀️

Either way, Kylo and Beau were meant to be together, which is all we really ever want. Someone who understands who we are, where we have been, and where we need to go shouldn't be too much to ask for, right? I think we need to be reminded that real life is hard. The choices we make in anger or desperation have consequences, and we must make the best of the hand we are dealt.

Seeing how this series has a spin-off series coming next month, I guess I will allow myself to be roped into reading at least the first book because, color me intrigued by Rain. Also, why do I feel like I have met him before?

A Special Little

I have to say that in the recent books Beau was not my favorite character. He was one of them you hated but needed to know how things would work out. But in the last book, book 5, Kylo steps in and I became curious as to what would happen between the two. Well, they didn’t disappoint. Kylo is not like the others Littles and gives Beau a run for his money. He’s special and Beau knows it. Kylo knows Beau has a soft spot and that he’s not all ruthless and mean. Kylo knows deep down Beau does have a heart. Even though it’s a short story King Daddy was well written. It didn’t take me long to finish reading because it held my interest the whole time. 5 stars ⭐️💜

4.25 🌟 This might have been one of my fave in the series, perfect to tie all the loose ends when it comes to Beau the old jaded mafia boss. Him and Kylo were 2 jagged pieces fitting together against all odds (non ideal families for starters). I loved how Kylo managed to be a functional neuroatypical little, becoming a bit more confident every day. The HEA was bittersweet but fitting. Both being too old & independent at heart to play games so transparence & clear boundaries it is.
I will keep an eye for the next saga.

Silver Fox and Dancing Sprite

In this one, Beau the head of the family, runs into Kylo the adorable sprite and Little, trying to get his groceries up to his penthouse - with a Stab wound.
Lots happening in this one including stalkers, dancing, fighting, reunions and spice.
There's finally some acceptance and resolution with the Bosis.
And we meet a few new characters including Austen and Mickey

Little survivor.

This was heavy in it's themes of neglect and emotional abuse. It also seemed to be the most fleshed out of these short stories. I liked seeing Beau get his bit of happy after all his heartache. Kylo being as strong as he was made him the perfect partner. They make each other better. I enjoyed this series completely.

short story Queen

No one can tell a story that makes the characters stand out in your mind and tell the whole story in fewer words .
It’s always amazing and a treat to go back to read from the beginning of any of her stories. They are that good.

Loved this story, I am not usually a fan of the dark romances that have been coming out, but this one was fantastic. I think Kylo was the reason. The author made his characters so charming, a little dreamer who understands the worst in people too. Great characters. Recommend reading.

I have to admit, at first I didn't want to read Beau's story. I kind of hated him in the other books and never thought I could get to like him. This book proved me wrong. The story was so good and I adore Kylo. In the end this turned out to be my favorite of the series.

Its always hard for me when I get to the end of a Charity Parkerson series. I always want more. Thankfully, she's as addicted to writing as I am to reading!
