Hope Hanson has fictional characters where most people have friends. A loner at school, she thinks love is as fictional as the stories she reads. Real-life love shattered her parents' marriage with punches and screams, resulting in her Dad leaving them. Three months later, her new fractured reality is turned upside down when her Dad returns and Hope becomes his new target.
Grumpy. Sarcastic. Angry.
Heath Travon has almost everything. He's intelligent, rich, and the daydream of the girls at Bellmare High School, but all he wants is to be left alone. Beneath his cold eyes and icy attitude, he's mourning a devastating loss that has him both fighting for every breath and wanting each one to be his last.
By accident they collide in the hallway. One look at her and he finds himself intrigued.
Heath sees the tears she doesn't shed, the bruises she desperately hides, and the truths behind her lies.
Hope sees his buried pain, as well as the thoughts he doesn't reveal and isn't fooled by his tough persona.
As Hope's home situation worsens and Heath's grief spirals, both are determined to help each other. He is adamant about protecting her and she is adamant about saving him.
Mary loves creating characters who feel real. She’s always wanted to help people and writing books allows her to do it. One day she wants to travel the world, eat everything chocolate-laced and meet her readers. When she’s not writing she’s watching anime, reading books, and learning how to play guitar.
I want to sue booktok and everyone on booktok who said that this one is like binding and keeping 13 ✋🏻 lies 🌚
-This was sooo poorly written like I couldn’t even get through the first half so i had to dnf it. binding 13 writing wasn’t the best but i loved the story. Here the writing was bad and the story was bad everything was just bad.
- the mmc was so rude for no good reason 😭 we need to stop normalizing this please! Him being mean and rude towards everyone because poor boy had bad past? Please we all have tough life you don’t see me slapping everyone i see in my way 🌚 having bad life doesn’t normalize or excuse you treating people like shit! Stop normalizing this please ✋🏻
- the fmc 🌚 ugh the amount of time i rolled my eyes at her is criminal, idk if it’s because of her stupid actions or because of the very bad writing but I couldn’t stand it please it was so cringe.
- it’s soo wattpad codded and i said it before and i’ll say it again. Sometimes what’s in wattpad should stay in wattpad ✋🏻
₊⊹⁀➴ 2 stars i think rated this lower than i wanted to given that i was recommended this book under the guise it was boys of tommen equivalent (spoiler : it was not). i would not recommend this book if you are looking to fill the void that the boys do tommen series left for u. the writing bored me. it was lots of telling you instead of showing you. randomly the very last 2% of the book made the plot do a 180 (i did not see that ending coming).
I just had one tiny issue that cost a star in my rating: the amount of times Heath cursed, or rather, the amount of times he used any form of the verb "fuck" (700+ times). I had to roll my eyes so many times because it got really repetitive, and so many things he said to Hope would have been 1000 times sweeter if he’d left out that word but....
This was such a sweet book, help!!😭💖
A super cute school romance with the classic bad boy x good girl trope, and EVERY TIME I eat it up like this 🥣🥣🥣❗❗
Their moments together were EVERYTHING. Heath making bracelets with her?? Him giving her his phone so she can create an Instagram for her business??🥹🥹 Him being super protective after seeing bruises on her body?? Such a big swoon. The way he was so head over heels?? Calling her pretty and beautiful every chance he got??? I'm gonna cry. All their scenes were so swoon-worthy 😭
The found family in this book was so beautiful too, and I need to read about Sebastian and Marie ASAP. They were just side characters, but I was so invested in their relationship. All four of them (Heath, Hope, Sebastian, and Marie) had distinct personalities with their own unique lore, and I need more!! Especially after that CLIFFHANGER!!!! I cannot wait for book 2.
straight to jail to those who said you have to read this if you love binding 13
this was so. exhausting? especially during heath’s pov. i’m all for a traumatized dark & brooding love interest because i love to see said character GROW and DEVELOP and MELT
heath did none of that. he just stayed angry. and mean. the way he treated hope didn’t make me swoon—it just left a nasty taste in my mouth. the whole time i was just sitting there like “hope i know you have massive daddy issues but run while you still can. heath is not the love of your life! he’s literally just a GUY—“
this did have potential. yes, it was on wattpad and wattpad can be cringey and messy but the bones of the book were solid, the execution just needed a lot of work
tbh the writing was fine, hope wasn’t a bad MC, and i enjoyed marie & sebastian…heath just gave me the ick to the point where all the good things were eclipsed by that
disappointed in hope though. she’s literally a book girlie. SHE HAS THE BLUEPRINT IN HER HANDS and yet she still fumbled 😭
DNF⭐️ This reads like it was written by a Gen Z with a booktok account whose favorite series is Boys of Tommen and who one day decided to write something similar. It was unoriginal, the storytelling was full of info dumps and the main characters felt surface-level and flat.
I will insert a short excerpt so you can see what I mean!
________________________________________
I unlock the door and step inside. The hallway separates into three rooms: the living room, kitchen, and my parent’s—now Mom’s bedroom. At the end is a staircase which leads up to my room. I open the refrigerator and find a plate of spaghetti. I put it into the microwave, which only half-heats because it needs to be repaired, but Mom has no plans to spend money on it, or anything really. When I have stuffed myself with food I go upstairs.

I don’t need all this unnecessary infos…just keep on telling the story without getting lost in the details.
this book could be a good one for the fans of binding 13 the vibes are giving that world so if you want to read a book with those vibes well this could be the one for u!
it was so cute to see and read the development of all the characters because yes we read about the main couple but seeing how the friendships were portrayed and developed was so good too!
all the tropes were well done and it was a pretty fast read in the end for me!
hope’s a cute character and heath thanks to her developed to be better for her in the end and that’s what’s matter.
the ending well i guess i need book 2 because i need to know more about them and what will happen next!
thank you so much mary for sending me this book and i’m so curios about the next one!
Firstly, five stars. Secondly, this is my new favorite book. I’m not kidding.
Words cannot describe the love that I have for this book. I go into most every book that I read with low expectations and if you know me, you know that I dnf half the books I read, my point with this is that it’s rare for me personally to really love a book. If that alone doesn’t make you want to read this book I don’t know what will.
I absolutely loved Hope and Heath. They are my babies and I would put my life on the line for them, no questions asked. Hope is the biggest reader girly and I absolutely love books where the main character is a reader so I ate it up. She is also the sweetest soul, she’s an actual angel and I love her so much. But omg Heath is everything I personally need in a man and more. I love me a man who acts tough but has a soft spot for his girl. Every time he spoke I was blushing and his humor was so amazing, I was laughing so much. The dual POV in this book was so perfect because I got to watch both characters individually fall in love with each other and it was the greatest thing ever.
I also LOVED Marie, I don’t know if I’ve ever loved a side character in a book more. My personality is exactly like her’s which is why I connected to her so much and adore her (except I could never live up to be as perfect as she is). She was so bubbly and always constantly talking, I fell in love with her from the start and got so excited when she was in a scene.
This book was everything and more. It had me giggling, blushing, crying, screaming, and laughing, it was so flawlessly done. The writing style though was SO PERFECT. I’m literally so obsessed with this author’s writing style and humor, I need a million more book right now.
Pleaseeeeee everyone go buy this immediately, it’s available on September 7th on Amazon. It’s literally the biggest honor ever that I got to read this early, like I’m in shock and so grateful. I’m going to be thinking about this book and the characters for the rest of time. I need the next book like I need air. Thank you and goodnight.
So this book used to be a wattpad book and then got published which I think just says it all. Also whoever on tiktok said that this is just like binding 13 is as blind as a bat
A lot of the writing was not cohesive and did not flow well. It’s very evident this was a wattpad book it needs a lot of work. I think people on booktok were paid to promote this.
— friends to lovers. — bad boy x good girl. — high school love story. — found family. — grumpy x sunshine.
📘🍂🎧🎡🦋🍫🩵☕️🥊🎳📖
So I found a new obsession 🥹 Hands down 5 STARS!🌟I devoured this story and it became my favorite!
I indeed collided with one of the best young adult romances! This book follows Heath, the school’s bad boy, and Hope, a girl who loves books and has no friends. That’s a cliché that I love soooo much, it can’t go wrong, and with Collided it was no different!
The anxiety and domestic violence were painfully well written. The author’s care in not romanticizing and describing panic and fear is clear, besides, her writing is extremely captivating and the more I read, the more I wanted to know more about! ♡
I adore how Hope is one of us introverted, bookish girlies, my baby is so relatable! Heath OH MY GAWD he’s my jam! He’s the stereotypical bad boy who doesn’t like anything or anyone, but as soon as he falls in love with her he REALLY falls hard! A guy who buys you books and, even though he doesn’t like reading, reads your favorite book just to know what your favorite mc is like (the cutest jealous moments)? Sign me right up 😭🦋
You guys need to try it if you liked Johnny and Shannon from BOT series. Heath and Hope give off the same wholesome and “I’d do anything for you” vibes 💌
Read it if you want to see lots of scenes of care, friendship and love! I hope you like it as much as I did! I NEED THE SECOND BOOK RIGHT NOW 🫶🏽
a beautiful debut novel from Mary Wyne that follows two struggling teenagers who find comfort in each other despite their differences.
check the trigger warnings before reading because it follows themes such as grief, trauma & ab*use.
the story follows Hope & Heath. Hope is a shy & introverted girl whose world revolves around books. she’s quiet & reserved around other people but wishes to have someone special in her life just like the characters in her books do.
Heath on the other hand is a complete opposite of Hope. he has that “bad boy” reputation, is always grumpy & seems like someone who doesn’t care about a single thing in the world. but once you get to know him, there’s a completely different side to him.
Hope & Heath get drawn to each other despite their differences. she sees more than just a grumpy guy who uses the word “f*ck” every single chance he gets. he sees more than just a shy book nerd. there’s sadness in her eyes & he’s determined to find out what she’s hiding under that beautiful smile of hers.
as the story unfolds, you get know these characters & what they’re going through. it definitely makes you emotional in a way that you just want to give them the biggest hug in the world.
there’s an element of found family, which i absolutely adored. the group of four friends that were extremely supportive of each other, which made my heart warm.
i only wish there was more plot to it. it felt like a lot of parts were repetitive & nothing really happened for half of the book. i guess, i wanted to see more outside of the high school ground setting & got a little bit bored a couple of times.
other than that, it was a beautiful story of two people finding comfort in each other & helping overcome each other’s struggles. i grew fond of these characters & can’t wait for the second book & to see more character growth.
there’s also a cliffhanger at the end of the book, which has me intrigued.
𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: grumpy x sunshine, opposites attract, he hates everyone but her, found family.
thank you to the author for sending me a copy of this! 🤍
What an amazing debut novel! This book is ≈500pgs long but it didn’t feel that way because I flew through it & wanted more, especially after that cliffhanger! It’s raw, beautiful, emotional, moving, & deals with themes such as grief, trauma, & ab*se (check TW’s). My heart broke when I learnt about Hope’s abusive home life & Heath’s struggle with grief. I absolutely loved the friendship group because they all needed one another. I cried & my heart hurt, but I also giggled & swooned so much!
Hope is quiet, introverted, shy, reserved, a book nerd & has been alone her entire life. Heath is the bad boy who is hiding his grief & hurt under his broody, standoffish, & angry personality. Watching Heath go from this bad boy who doesn’t care about anything & keeps people at arms length, to him becoming a total softie & doing everything in his power to make Hope feel happy was so heartwarming!🥹
These two have tragic backstories, so watching them find safety & home in one another pulled at my heartstrings! Heath showed Hope that she wasn’t alone & what safety is, & Hope brought Heath out of his grumpy shell & showed him that it was okay to grieve. I giggled so much when Heath would get angry at himself because even though he swears he doesn’t catch feelings & isn’t interested in girls, his every second thought was about hope🤭 This couple oozes comfort & watching their friendship slowly turn into them developing feelings was so cute🫂❤️🩹
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: Bad boy x nerd/quiet girl, found family, he hates everyone but her, friends to lovers, opposites attract, “who did this to you?”
This man cusses like he just got permission to. Every other sentence he said did not need the word fuck in it. I could see the vision the author had but to say this book is like Binding/Keeping 13 would be a crime.
Before I begin this review, I want to thank Mary for giving me the opportunity to read her book. I've never done this with an author, but it has been one of the nicest experiences I've ever had! 🥹 I also want to personally thank you, Mary, for being such a nice, caring and beautiful person; you know that when I comment on books I don't shut up even under rocks, and you've been putting up with my thousand comments and voice messages as if we were lifelong friends 🫂 Perhaps Hope and Marie are not real, but they remind me a lot of us when I don't shut up and I comment to you even the smallest detail and you answer me to all of them. So thankful to have met you!!! 🥹💙
Now, I want to go in parts ‘cause I have so many things to say that if I don't get organized it will be very chaotic!
💙 The writing: Mary, as a self-published author, has done a hell of a job with this book. We're not just talking about writing the book on her own, but also proofreading it. Some people are unaware of the work that goes into that. Obviously, there are mistakes that can slip through the cracks; this can happen to absolutely anyone, and I personally don't take them into account when the story itself has me hooked. It's true that sometimes I felt that some stuff was repeated, but that didn't take me out of the reading, and my want to keep reading remained. I find Mary's writing simple but good, therefore it’s not difficult at all to understand the book if, as in my case, you’re not a native English speaker.
💙 The characters: The way this author manages to make you feel related with several characters at the same time is something I’ve already told her that impresses me and I will keep repeating it because it’s something that’s not as simple as it seems. When I read a book or a series, I rarely feel related with more than one character, but with Marie's book? I didn’t feel related with only one but with the four of them 🫡 Hope and Heath, the main characters, Marie, their best friend, and Sebastian, their best friend, too.
About Marie: I find her to be the best character in the book and the person in whom I see myself reflected the most. We both love to talk about absolutely everything, we are excited about almost everything, and we are there for our loved ones at all times no matter what. The one thing I’m sure as hell about is that I’ll defend her no matter what! 🥹
About Sebastian: one of the best friends I’ve ever read about. Just like with Marie, I relate to him for several reasons. He's as good a friend as he is a partner. He's there for his loved ones no matter what, and despite everything he's been through — just like his girlfriend — he doesn't give up. ❤️🩹
Now, about both the main characters, Hope and Heath. I have SO MUCH things to say that this might be the longest review I’ve ever written.
About Hope: There are so many FMC I love, and Hope has now become one of them. I've loved her from the very first moment. It's not just about both of us sharing a love for reading—it goes much deeper than that. We share the fact that she longs for a love that is far more genuine and beautiful than what she's used to seeing at home. Like Marie, Hope struck me as a character with a pure and beautiful heart—someone who, despite all the pain she endures, still has enough love to give to others. Someone who, despite all the bad things that can happen, finds the good in both situations and people.
Hope is for the girls who love blindly but with hearts that beat fiercely; for the girls who feel safe between pages, with minds constantly wandering to other worlds; for the girls who prefer to avoid problems and stay in our own worlds because we know that there, no one can hurt us. Hope is for the girls who have faith despite everything, for those of us who don't give up.
I hold an unexplainable affection for her, and I wish I could dive into the book and give her the biggest, longest hug possible. She’s still a 16y old girl who suffers what someone at her age shouldn’t.
About Heath: Even though some of his actions weren't right, I'd dare to say that he's become one of my favorite MMCs. Heath is aware of his mistakes and tries to be better; he apologizes and grows, which is something I don't always see in books when the MMC behaves poorly. Just as he makes mistakes, he also treats Hope and his friends so well that I spent most of the book with tears in my eyes (I won't blame it entirely on being overly sensitive with books, even if it's true) 😭❤️🩹
There's one thing I share with him — the fact that we both blame ourselves for things we know we can't control, but we can't stand to see our loved ones doing the same to themselves. Sometimes everything becomes too much for us, and we stay silent, but we refuse to let others do the same and suffer quietly. I think that's why, when he acted based on his emotions, I could understand him, and I didn't feel any rejection toward him.
The way Heath loves Hope is absolutely beautiful; in the last chapters, he loves her so loudly that there are pages I've completely marked up! It's going to be a lot of work when I write my review for IG and I gotta look for scenes to add, but fuck it—it was impossible to not highlight it when he was (and is) so perfect!!! 😭
About their relationship: The. Fucking. Cutest. I’VE EVER READ!!! They match each other so good I spent almost the whole book crying and screaming AND ABSOLUTELY MELTED! 😭😭😭
💙 Last thoughts:
I'm so excited to read the second part (MARY, I DON'T FORGIVE YOU FOR THAT ENDING EVEN THOUGH I LOVED IT) and keep reading about my babies. I don't think one or two books will be enough, which means I don't just want—I NEED Sebas and Marie's book for yesterday. Anyway, Mary: if you decide not to write it, we’ll still love you, or if you do write it and it takes a while, we’ll sit here and wait as long as it takes, just knowing that we’ll get to read it someday 🫵🏻
I really hope all of you give these book a chance because they're so worth it and their author is just as wonderful as the book itself! You can truly feel the love she pours into her characters, and I'm so grateful to have met them and her. 🫂💙
(This is the longest review I’ve ever written, but I already said—and told Mary— I never shut my mouth whether written or verbal 🙂↔️)
pre-read: could September 7th come faster? this book sings to my 15 year old self's heart and is such a comfort read ❤
POST-READ: heart is in shambles
3.75 stars ೃ⁀➷ Wattpad Heath, you will always be elite, my love.
This book is so perfect for fans of Binding and Keeping 13! It's like B&K13 but with a smaller found family group, a modern American setting and YA. It follows young Hope Hanson and Heath Travon who both are facing their own demons. Hope is suffering because of her abusive dad and mom who enables him and Heath is still grieving his sister who passed a year ago. He's the mystery bad boy fo the school and she's the shy quiet girl. What better match could there be?
this book... the nostalgia, ahh. as someone who read this on wattpad like 4 years ago i'm so emotional that this has become a physical book! this book has always been such a comfort and will be to my young self. i recommend this book to anyone who loves the YA genre and loves their cute romances. (for my wattpad readers- there were some changes but i assure you it's still so precious!!)
the small little found family this book had was everything. i truly felt back at home when we had scenes with the core 4. the relationships and dynamics were so good and real i adored it. i laughed, giggled, swooned- literally the whole shbang. the romance was adorable and i loved seeing them both progress when it came to the difficulties they were having to overcome.
i sort of wish we got more when it came to heath's grief and that he talked about it more. i feel like grief is so raw and vulnerable i was sad not to see it much- HOWEVER, this was BEFORE, i realised there would be a book 2!! So I am so excited for Heath's trauma and grief to be explored and especially now his reltionship with his parents, especially his father!!! another thing is the writing, which, now that i'm older i can acknowledge that it isn't great. it's almost too concise and lacks the synergy good writing has.
now, onto the one thing that was truly the star of the show... marie and sebastian (AKA mom & dad). goddamn- i have never been so excited about a side couple. they are claire and gibsie reincarnated i'm not lying. i fear they may be the comfort characters i take from this book- i love them too much to comprehend. seb, oh my heart, just... i'm so glad seb and marie have eachother.
hope and heath though. their relationship... ah... never will get old. kinda messy but yk what they both got messy lives y'all and i will see them to their happy ending or i will riot!!
and lastly... the ending. guys you better be ready because i was raging (not in a bad way!!!) all i'm saying is that i can't wait for book 2... my rating: 3.75 stars!
This book is a collision of sweet, cute, and utterly adorable moments that will make your heart race and your cheeks flush. It had me giggling, blushing, and kicking my feet in the air like a teenager with a first crush! Hope and Heath might seem like total opposites at first, but their shared struggles with mental health create a beautiful connection that hits you right in the feels. Watching them open up to each other is like watching fireworks explode—bright and beautiful! Especially when they find themselves leaning on each other for friendship and more🥺
There were so many cute moments that had me blushing hard🫠 One of my favorites was Heath asking Hope for updates on the books she was reading—OH MY GOSH, THAT’S A DREAM COME TRUE!😩 The found family trope, which I absolutely love, was done perfectly here. The group’s bond is strong, and their interconnected stories are written so well. I need Bash and Marie’s book ASAP, they were adorable and loved how they stood up for each other and Heath and Hope🥺 Mary—you’re making me wait, and it’s not fair!😭
As a slow-burn girlie, I had so much fun with this book—the tension was everything! The buildup between the characters kept me on the edge of my seat, I read the book in like 24 hours, and loved every minute of it.
I was really touched by the storyline about Heath’s sister, which made me cry a lot because it brought up some personal feelings of loss.
Most moments reminded me of Binding 13😭and Heath’s frequent use of the word “f**k” had me irritated and a bit annoyed. And that cliffhanger—I did not see it coming! I thought this was a standalone, and now I can’t wait to see what happens next! 🥲
Also, please read the trigger warnings before reading!
Rating: 4★
Read if you like: ♥Good Girl x Bad Boy ♥Found Family ♥YA (high school) ♥Dual POV ♥Boy Obsessed ♥Hates everyone but her
if you started the book bc of booktok saying that “this is so similiar to binding 13!” dont. -poorly written, it was too obvious that this was once a wattpad book -it was a good girl x bad boy trope but mmc was hating everyone and rude to everyone for no reason? like yeah i get it you have a traumatizing past but that doesnt gives you a right to be a bitch -fmc inner monolouge was awful -fmc and mmc was so cringe i started crying after he got jeolous over a fictional character and tbh this felt like a binding 13 wattpad-dupe for me
if you’re feeling nostalgic for your wattpad days then this book is for you!!
this is a debut novel from the author of around 500 pages but you can easily fly through it because the story hooks you in straight away! this books covers a lot of heavy topics like abuse, grief and trauma.
hope is very shy and introverted. she grew up alone with no friends and uses her time to study and escape within the pages or books. heath is the bad boy who is struggling with his grief and keeps everyone at an arms length but when he bumps into hope (literally!) he suddenly finds himself wanting to keep her close and safe and it was so cute watching him change around her and become a complete softie 🥹 they found a home within each other and ugh i just died! so many sweet moments i couldn’t get enough
the friendships that developed throughout this book were everything and so sweet to watch them all blossom. i loved their friendship group🥹 this book will have you giggling, crying and kicking your feet in the air
that cliffhanger though! i can’t wait to read more from this series!! 💙
read if you love 📚 bad boy x good girl 📚 friends to lovers 📚 high school romance 📚 “who did this to you?”
can i just highlight everything heath & hope BECAUSE OF HOW FREAKING CUTE THEY ARE! there were so many times i was giggling, blushing, kicking my feet in the air🤭 IT WAS JUST EVERYTHING!! like i need mary herself to come and tell me what is it that she was cooking up when writing this book
hope is me, i am hope 😌 it literally felt like i was reading about myself, except i don’t have a heath in my story or a story 😔
hope could be described as a freaking angel. this girl has the sweetest soul ever. i love her so darn much 🥺 reading about what she has to deal with at home makes me so sad because she deserves better 🤍 and heath my gosh! the standards have definitely jumped up to a place that probably won’t be met 😭 this man truly truly loves hope! like hello, he buys her books and he reads her books AND ANNOTATES THEM 😧 what these two have i think is something you only see in books (channeling my inner hope 🙃) they both find comfort in each other no matter what life has handed them.
if you ask me about my favorite scenes or favorite anything about the book, i will tell you everything 💙
Some books entertain you, some books make you think—but then there are the rare few that *feel like they were written just for you*. This book was one of them.
I feel seen… From now on Hope is my “this is so me” character! Y’ALL HEAR ME HOPE IS SO ME CHARACTER! SHE’S ME I’M HER! she feels real. I saw so much of myself in her. her character is written with such raw truth that it stayed with me long after I closed the book.
This book isn’t just a story—it’s a mirror, a friend, and a quiet voice that says, “You’re not the only one.” It reminded me that even in the loneliest moments, there is hope.
From the very first page, I felt a deep connection to Hope Hanson. She’s quiet, thoughtful, and lost in a world of fiction because reality has never been kind to her. Her loneliness, the silence in her life, the weight she carries behind a calm face—I felt all of it like it was my own. She doesn’t have friends and the pain she hides from the world mirrors the kind so many of us are too afraid to talk about.
Then there’s Heath—sarcastic, guarded, and broken in ways that don’t show on the surface. His grief is heavy, his heart is hurting, but he notices things no one else does. The way he sees Hope—not as the girl everyone ignores, but as someone worth protecting—was both heartwarming and beautiful.
Their story isn’t just about romance. It’s about survival. There is connection. There is someone who will reach out and say, “I see you.” And sometimes, that’s all we really need. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest corners of life, there is hope. It’s about the quiet ways people save each other when words aren’t enough. It’s about the strength it takes to keep going when you’re hurting, and the beauty of finding someone who sees the truth behind your silence.
There were moments in this book that made me cry—not just because of what the characters were going through, but because I *saw myself* in them. In the way Hope keeps it all inside. In the way she still manages to care. In the way Heath tries so hard to be strong, even when he’s falling apart. This story reminded me that healing doesn’t happen all at once. Sometimes it happens in soft moments, in quiet kindness, in simply being seen.
This book touched parts of me I didn’t even realize needed healing. Hope’s quiet strength, her loneliness, and the pain she hides behind silence felt so personal. Her connection with Heath isn’t just about love—it’s about finding light in the darkest places. Their story reminded me that even the most broken hearts can still find pieces of peace. I saw myself in these pages, and I’ll carry this book with me for a long time.
I felt so connected to this book and this book will always be close to my heart. I love Sebastian and Marie GOD THEY ARE SO CUTE AND SWEET AND EVERYTHING! I love Marie and Hope’s friendship the way the had each other when they had no one AAAAA that’s wholesome I love them so much! And let’s not forget the Heath and Sebastian they’re sooo fun! Overall I LOVE THE FRIENDSHIPS IN THIS BOOK!
THIS ENDING!!! HELLO??!!! Nah this was too cute I loved hope and heath they was adorable and I loved the development of their relationship and they gave Johnny Shannon vibes, I loved this book!! Need the rest of the series immediately
Also I'm so thankful to have received the arc for this, thank you Mary
WHAT WAS THAT ENDING !!!😭😭😭 if you like binding 13 READ THIS !!! gave Johnny & Shannon vibes. hope & heath were so SO CUTE omg i loved them. him reading her favourite book and annotating it & asking for book updates 🥹🥹✨💖
“I can't imagine not reading books. They're like oxygen to me. I won't survive without them.”
