THEY CUT OUT THE KISS! THEY CUT OUT THE KISS! THEY CUT OUT -
Somebody sedate me, RIGHT NOW! From all the things you cut out, you chose Percabeth‘s first kiss? HOW? WHY?
Calming myself now... SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?
Okay, okay... I am calm... maybe...
Other things they cut that really should have stayed in include: Literally everything with Calypso (geez, wonder if that’s important for the Heroes of Olympus?), Rachel hitting Kronos with a brush, Percy saving one of Mr. D‘s sons, the romance between Clarisse and Chris (sure, cut her most human moments out), JUNIPER (!), Grover‘s moment of badassery and probably more that I don’t remember because I AM YELLING ABOUT THE KISS!
Here’s the thing, I get that you have to make cuts by adapting a book into a Graphic Novel, but the decisions about what to cut her puzzle me to no end. It just doesn’t make sense to me, because if I hadn’t known the story at this point and my introduction would be this Graphic Novel, I‘d be lost. They chopped one of the best books Rick Riordan has ever written down to a shell and I know they can do better and that makes it frustrating. Compare that to the graphic novel adaptation of The Lost Hero which almost includes the entire story (and I think the book is longer).
The artwork is also not that compelling this time around. It’s very messy and some of the characters look downright unpleasant, especially poor Annabeth. Also, Nico looks way too old. Get a grip, he is like 10 here.
So, why still 3 stars? Because it’s still The Battle of the Labyrinth, one of my favorite Percy Jackson stories and at least it includes some of Percy‘s most badass moments. Plus, the scene with Pan always gets me. And the Grover/Tyson cuteness.
Despite my... minor outburst of... yelling, I did not dislike the graphic novel. I don’t think I have it in me to dislike anything Percy Jackson related. I‘m just frustrated. Very, very frustrated.

Yet another excellent addition to the graphic novel series! A+ artwork! The story is obviously condensed from the written novels but it hits the important parts. 5 stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This GN was MUCH better than The Sea of Monsters! Besides a few spots, I felt the story had a much nicer flow. Although, it did skip over some major moments! Moments like Percy and Annabeth’s first kiss! And the whole bit of Percy choosing to be a hero and leaving Calypso’s island. I was a little shocked at the very different art style (compared to the last one) but I quickly started to really enjoy the illustrations. The characters were easily distinguishable and the backgrounds were always so beautiful and detailed.

Ich bevorzuge die Bücher immer noch, aber wieder in die Welt von Percy abzutauchen, war großartig. Wie die Bücher umgesetzt wurden, kann ich gar nicht mehr genau sagen, dass ich die Bücher zuletzt gelesen habe, ist leider einfach zu lange her, aber ich hatte beim Lesen des Comics erstmal kein Störgefühl. Die Zeichnungen sind sehr gut gemacht, bin keine Expertin, aber gefallen haben sie mir und das ist doch jetzt die Hauptsache.

I liked this novel better than all the other PJO related graphic novels thus far. This is largely because the artstyle just appealed more to me in this one.
Once again I missed a few part, Calypso was barely in it and I MISSED THE KISS.

I really liked this art style so much more! Im glad they changed it because this is more how I picture the characters. As for the story they obviously cut out details and a lot of them, but I found I didn’t mind as much because I think they did it in a better way then the first three.

After Five years we’ve been waiting for this since fist third graphic novels adaptation.
Robert Venditti Bring 4th installment into the Comic Screen for Percy Jackson’s Dangerous Quest. I was really surprise that This is absolutely refresh of unique Illustrations quite Match very much alike in the Source Material for Fans. As for me as for Fan, This is Wonderful, Well not Perfect, But Wonderful. I love It!
My Opinion of This was Great.
- Original Story Adaptation, Much Like Previous, was Same as quality. But the problem was Pages is too short including few storylines and some important moments were skipped including Percy’s school orientation, few supporting characters focus scenes, Council Meeting, Percy Meet his father in his birthday party and of Course, Annabeth kiss Percy (😡😢🥺). It was quite too much rush from one place to another that should’ve been more pages of 192 (Like Both Kane Chronicles GN And Heroes of Olympus GN) or. Ore that made whole experience.
-Attila Futaki Been replaced by Orpheus Collar, who adapted, draw, and colored the Kane Chronicles GN Trilogy as well as colored The Heroes of Olympus GN, and Antoine Dode, Who Illustrated The Heroes of Olympus GN. Collar and Dode did worked together once with Venditti adapted the 2nd Installment of The Heroes of Olympus, The Son of Neptune. Now, they combine the great formula of their Both Illustrated And Colored are very outstanding what we picture in the Original Novel. Although, background can get a little bit messy, yet beautiful and great detail. Action, Violence, Intense, Emotion, And Humor Are all glorious with the different art style.
-Different Artstyle Are better than previous that characters are well fan serve, well almost for fan’s criticism. Collar and Dode got right appearances including Percy (Black Jet Hair Son of Poseidon with Green Eyes, Right Height, And his Riptide Sword), Annabeth ((Curly Blonde Ponytail Hair Daughter of Athena with Grey Eyes, Roght Clothing, And Yanke Hat), Grover (Brown Curly Hair Nervous Goat Boy), Tyson (Tall And Gentle Cyclop Boy), Nico (Black Hair Son of Hades with dark brown hair and grim look with jacket and skull shirt), Rachel (redheaded Tall And slim girl who can see things) amd Many more. Some Characters are here and looks pretty well and some (Calypso And Clarisse) Are barely here or not. They’re really fit in dialogue and plot.
-I look layout of this was quite good, but it’s too short that not quite enough. I really felt like this was original edition of GN, but I really wish that Extended Edition of Blockbuster GN Extinct should've be more measurable like the Lord of the Ring films.
-The Cover is the best fan service Illustration by Collar and Dode are both quite Perfect. Show Percy, Annabeth, amd. Nico run in Forward towards Labyrinth covered in Greek Fire, And Behind Are Rachel wearing mechanical wings and Creator of Maze in his Workshop. This is Bright And Attractive.
I was little worried that won’t be made and released after First-Second Heroes of Olympus Graphic Novel released but thankfully Venditti finally came back where he continue to adapt wrote the fourth time of Son of Poseidon’s Adventure in Camp Half-Blood. With Criticism for this and the series, but I quite enjoy it. This is the best of the series with Illustrated and Colored since The Sea of Monsters Graphic Novel.
I love it, I cannot wait for fifth and final installment of Graphic Novel.

We’ve done a 180 on the art, and overall it’s an improvement. Futaki’s art style was more cinematic and some of his landscapes were breathtaking, but Collar’s character design is sooo much better. I also thought this adaptation carried over a teensy bit more humor.
Sadly, so much of the story was cut to keep the graphic novel short (the kiss in Mount St. Helen’s, Calypso and Percy, Rachel hitting Kronos in the eye with her blue plastic hairbrush…) and I think Riordan’s writing & Percy’s voice are so strong that graphic novels will never quite work for these books.

Tengo que recordarme que son adaptaciones y como tal tampoco pueden meter todo en un libro, pero hubo tantas cosas que se saltaron 🥲
Lo mejor de todo fue ver que cambiaron el estilo de la animación, el anterior era un dolor de ojos pero este nuevo diseño, con los personajes siendo más ellos mismos fue lo mejor que pudo pasar al mundo de las novelas gráficas.
RED es lo mejor de estos libros, siempre es un placer leerla!

Definitely the best one by far with an interesting art style and a fully cohesive storyline! I’m incredibly happy that it was done so well too because this was always my favorite book in the series.

There was a lot more going on with the plot in this normal and I really enjoyed it. I also liked the change of the graphic designer because the art felt different and I absolutely loved it. It was very nice to see the different changed. It took me awhile to get used to it at first, but it was a nice addition to go along with the plot line.

On the one hand, this is a quick enjoyable read and I definitely like the art here more than in previous volumes. On the other hand, I felt like literally nothing happened? It's been probably a decade since I've read the books so I'm not sure if this book in particular was just really slow or if they cut out a bunch of stuff and that's what made it seem that way here. It's still a nice refresher since I'm trying to wait until after the last Apollo book comes out before I reread the entire Greek Gods portion of Riordan's work, but it definitely feels like it's missing something.

3.5 stars. I enjoy having a visual to go with the great books by Rick Riordan! And I know that there are a lot of reasons for pieces to get cut out in the transition to a graphic novel. But this one felt particularly choppy and disconnected. Kids who haven't read the novels might be fine with this as their only experience of the story. And kids who really get into the visuals of the monsters and other characters they already enjoy from the books might be fine with this, too. Kids who love the novels might be frustrated with the disjointed feel of this compared to the story they know so well.

I don't even know what's going on. I went straight into reading the second comic and now I skipped to the 4th comic because those are the only ones I own. I don't think comics are for me, and neither is trying to keep my eyes open while reading this at 11:30pm. I liked the art better than I did in the second one. Nice.

Meh. It only gets three stars because I’m an artist and I saw a few panels that I really want to draw in my style. The plot was close to the main plot of the book, they didn’t add anything to my knowledge, but it was missing a lot of scenes, like the two headed guy, the sphinx, THE kiss to name a few major scenes. If you’re reading this trying to figure out whether you should read the books or the graphic novels, read the books and then the graphic novels.
