Dr. Asano is working at the police department with his colleagues on the serial killer case, when he receives a very tempting invitation from one of them to have diner.
This chapter happily continues the flirting between Katsu and Shino. What starts out with a serious discussion about the case, turns into a discussion about the pleasure of eating a perfectly cooked steak. which according to Katsu can be better than sex;-). The steak meal was introduced to Katsu by David, but Shino does not hesitate to pick up the gauntlet…Oh, you go Shino…
Another very funny chapter, especially the double entendres in the steak talk: Shino: “What would you say if I cook for you and prove it isn’t necessarily better than sex? A tie, likely.“ Katsu: „I have very high expectations, Shinohara-san, I’ve had many impressive meals. Hell yeah, he had David’s d*ck for 3 years, he should be pretty stuffed by now.
Shino: “I’ve always had compliments on my cooking. No one’s ever refused seconds or thirds. „ Katsu: “Thirds, huh. Holding nothing back now that you’ve found one of my weaknesses?“
And then they go to Shino’s place to cook steaks:-). I love the illustrations, where we are shown Shino’s flat. I love the small details, like when Shino washes his hands after preparing the steak, or how his tie is thrown over his shoulder in order not to be in the way.
They are both soaked from the rain outside, and all I can say is UST. Major UST by the end of the chapter:-P. Oh, well, they do talk about deeper things there as well, Shino is sharing with Katsu that he grew up without a father, and has not been able to find him, but by then I was just waiting to move on to chapter 11…

How I picture Shinohara and Asano's relationship in this chapter:
Asano you sly kitten. I know what you did there ;D
There is a lot of talk between Asano and Shinohara over the case. While Asano dominates the conversation, Shinohara proves he is more than just a pretty face. He's capable of piecing together information and creating something solid. No wonder he is the point man.
More back story, profiling the killer, blah blah. Just as things heat up with Katsuya and Keiji story is over. I liked the seduction of Keiji through talk of stake, a little obvious but what the heck. Doesn't have the same feel as the previous chapters.
