I was not sure what to expect when I saw the preview art for this comic. I mean, Discord and the Cutie Mark Crusaders could either go really good or really bad. I loved how Cook/Price treat the Cutie Mart Crusaders, but the Microseries for them was rather disappointing.
I was happy to say that this one did not disappoint me.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders are always off doing things to try to figure out their cutie marks. Discord shows up at Sweet Apple Acres and the girls get the idea to have him help them on their quest. What follows is Discord exposing them to all sorts of new adventures (except lion taming because they already did that).
Got this as part of a Fun Pack I bought from Ota-Fest.
This comic was my favorite of the four I bought. I went into this thinking, "Ugh, a Crusader story, this is going to be mediocre." But obviously not! The Crusader-Discord dynamic was surprisingly nice, and I just generally enjoyed what happened in this comic. I also enjoyed all the pop culture references, let's be real.
This also had my favourite illustrations of the four, since all of them are drawn by different people.
I don't think Discord ever interacts with the child trio in the show, so it was neat to see that here. all the references were great too, lol (especially the Star Trek Next Generation one - his VA plays Q in the series).

Such a unique paring! This one made me laugh a little and twi wasn’t hilarious with her overreaction to Discord being around again and “helping” the girls out. Such a fun read!
Oh goodness, all of the references were wonderful, especially the Star Trek one, of course. Nice little story with Discord and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. It was nice how Discord was reigned in at the end.
I wasn't sure if we deal with good Discord or bad Discord in this one. But I love the way he was depicted here. And that the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the end made him so happy. Lovely comic.
