First of all, a huge thank you to the author, Alexandra Banks, for sending me an ARC of this book! When she reached out and asked if I wanted one, I obviously said, "absolutely"! I hadn’t heard of this series before, but DAMN, you better believe I’ll be reading the other books too!
I loved this. Couldn’t put it down. This book broke my heart but also put it back together.
Mack & Grace—ugh, I adore them. This story made me so emotional, omg. They’re both broken but heal together. They heal each other. The way they support one another in their darkest times, pull each other out of it, and find their way to peace? Everything. And the Rawlinses too! You can feel the love they have for each other.
This story was so much deeper than I expected. It highlights the importance of mental health, and I absolutely loved the PTSD rep—I think it was done so well. And Grace? She’s amazing. A strong, lovable FMC. A survivor.
Also, Mackinlay Rawlins, the man that you are! Protective, devoted, and will absolutely ruin you in the best way. The perfect mix of strength and softness. Definitely one of my top book boyfriends now, hehe.
