Where to begin. The mmc and his friends are pigs. He isn’t redeemable and it isn’t a romantic read. All I could think was,”May this type of love never find me.”
Spoiler- there is major OW drama including in book scenes in depth of him with other women. Guess what? Fmc was a virgin and only ever with him. He even gets with other women after he’s screwed the fmc over multiple times. It’s gross. I finished just because I’m not a quitter but honestly BARF I want my time back. And bleach for my brain.
But honestly why do WOMEN authors write such awful characters for WOMEN? We don’t want trashy men who are not worth it. I wanted her to get with anyone else. Do better.

So, this was trash. Skip it.
I can handle OW drama because I love me a good angsty grovel, but this book was just a mess of OW drama and a cringy MMC that never once redeemed himself. If you’re looking for a romance, look elsewhere because it didn’t exist here.

There’s drama and then there’s this
I love drama in books but I actually had to skip chapters cause it was like a back and forth on who could do the most damage. There’s cheating and then there’s Aiden. His groveling consisted on basically just the last chapter. And wasn’t a fan of wrapping up which I find to give the story negative points. Certainly one of them would have had and STD. If they’re gonna cheat at least make it seem like sex with heroine is special or something. I love Nicola’ books but this was as bad as cooper which was another book that fell flat I had to skip chapters in that one too.

This was a 🚗 crash, which ended on the tracks and became a train wreck, and then an airplane crashed on top of all of it 💥. To finish it off the mixture of all the chemicals in the air, with the decomposing bodies released a plague and caused a zombie apocalypse. ☠️ (If you think that's unbelievable, then you understand how I felt at the end of this book)
Do not read this book if you want romance in any way. At no point in this book was there any, and I do mean ANY romance. However, the FMC and the MMC do end up together, so I'm sure you're asking how that happened. Honestly, if you figure it out, let me know. Because no self-respecting girls girl would write this book and call it a romance.
I absolutely LOOOOOVE books with OW drama, stupid men, unforgivable acts, and ultimate betrayals. I love enemies to lovers and bully romances. I even love cheating books where the fmc forgives the cheater. So that should tell you my level of tolerance of what I will deal with when it comes to some of the darker romances because I need you to understand when I say that I HATED this book. I loathed this MC and even the FMC so much. And this isn't a tribute to the writing because it wasn't good writing. There was no flow, no obvious transition between one moment and the next. NOTHING, and I do mean absolutely nothing made sense or seemed logical.
Someone on here did a perfect account of spoilers and unfortunately I didn't read them beforehand because most times I don't take reviews seriously. I should have here. There are only a handful of sweet moments in this entire book. I'm talking 90% in and he is still being cruel and hateful to this woman. In fact compared to the end of the book he was actually prince charming in the first half so heed my warning. If you think it's bad in the first 50% the second half will have you black listing the author without thought.
This is not dark romance. There is usually a redemption arc. Even a small one. This man becomes a full fledged monster and destroys this woman's entire life for revenge and only after a few pretty words at the 96% mark she of course runs to his arms.
Do not read this book if you want romance in any way. At no point in this book was there any, and I do mean ANY romance. This was my first book by this author. And wow just wow this was Monday boggling but in a good way. In the beginning it was hard to follow but I really enjoyed this book

This was a great refresher from this authors usual MC books. However, that doesn’t mean she pulled back on the drama. I love her MC books, but I would definitely read about the side characters from this one too.
There’s OW drama, betrayal, NO TRUE cheating, lies, secrets, second chances, third chances, and everything else you come to expect from this author.
I am NOT grovel person, so I can’t say whether any grovel was there and good enough. I can say that the hero and heroine didn’t change their personality’s to fit into a HEA. They grew as individuals, but I feel they remained true to themselves still.
There’s OW drama, betrayal, NO TRUE cheating, lies, secrets, second chances, third chances, and everything else you come to expect from this author.

Book opens with a 23-year-old virgin Bella coming home to learn her alcoholic degenerate father tried selling her last night to horrible people. A club owner Aiden (out of the goodness of his heart he says) informs her so she can stay safe and leaves.
Her father the next day, while sober, then decides to “protect” her by calling her ex-boyfriend Carl, a cop, whose already put her in the hospital once after she wouldn’t put out. She stays with him a single night because she has no other options (what!?) and the next night, while her life is in danger mind you, decides to go clubbing. Bella meets the dangerous club owner again Aiden who generously lets her be in the VIP area. Bella insults him, gets wasted falling drunk and has to be helped to the bathroom. She then strips naked and passes out drunk in his bed. He takes photos of her passed out. This girl is TSTL.
Meanwhile, the ex is going psycho and is blowing up her phone, threatening her, and saying he is going to illegally track her phone. She hurries up to go pacify him.
We also learn Aiden has ulterior motives and “needs” her virginity but we do not know why. In addition, we learn about his first love Laurie, who is now married, but still cheats on her rich asshole husband with Aiden quite frequently.
Bella goes home to Carl; the ex and he beats her because he sees photos that Aiden took of Bella sleeping in his bed. (Slaps, punches, chokes then tries to sexually assault her). Carl is stopped by one of Aiden’s goons and takes her to Aiden, who is in the process of fingering another woman. Aiden jumps up when he sees Bella bloody and offers magnanimously offers to let her stay with him and convinces her to come out clubbing that night. She agrees. (Remember, she is bloody and has been punched and choked so wtf?!)
Another scene shows Aiden and his goon JP talking about Bella and how to win her over so she will sleep with him. He will pretend to not want her, screw her then throw her away. We still do not know why. So in a stroke of genius, he has decided to throw other women in her face to get her attention. Rolling my eyes.
While at the club, he takes two women to his office to fuck after making sure Bella saw him kissing/touching them. Her friends, Aria and gay couple Jack and Beck convince her that because he’s SO hot she should sleep with him too even though she tells them she’s seen him with three different women in less than 12 hours.
He also makes sure to tell Bella he’s not monogamous, he doesn’t like relationships, he isn’t friends with women he sleeps with and he loves random pussy.
This is repeated ad nauseum most of the book. For real.
Aiden gets jealous at the bar of Bella dancing with other men then ruins it by opening his mouth and saying his bullshit. He offers to take Bella home then ditches her. She runs away (again despite danger she’s in) and he calls her pissed off. She hangs up on him. Aiden gets pissed but we see he’s at a hotel with his married ex, Laurie and we get the absolute pleasure of a scene of them performing oral, having vaginal sex then anal while she’s shit talking the girl on his socials and he’s calling her trash. So, he ditched Bella for his married ex, got jealous of her dancing with other men but is supposed to win her virginity.
Basically, the entire book is like this. It's revolting.
Bella tries to go on a date with a nice guy named Luke next. Aiden shows up saying he desperately needs her help. He takes Bella to a party and says he really needs a fake date, and informs her that he needs her to convince people they are together. She does this. Laurie shows up and he walks away from Bella and fucks Laurie on a balcony only to have Bella walk in on them. He chases Bella and tells her he’s sorry. He's a walking STD. Bella’s friends tell her she can’t be jealous because they aren’t together. So he's using Bella, having her do favors for him, trying to get her to lose her vCard but walks away from her at every sniff of Laurie's P.
The next day, Aiden and Bella are trying to be “friends” after arguing and are watching a movie and eating dinner, he’s telling Bella how toxic Laurie is and how he fucked her on her wedding day and liked it but that they’re terrible for each other. Laurie calls endlessly. He asks Bella to answer and tell her off so she does. He then kisses Bella. (This is like a single DAY after he was fucking Laurie!!!)
Then Luke, Bella’s onetime date calls and she answers. Aiden gets so jealous; he tells Bella to fuck off and goes to meet Laurie in the hotel to fuck her again. Laurie then sets it up so Aiden’s phone calls Bella while he’s shit talking her saying she’s a useless virgin looking for a free ride then records him fucking her (Laurie.) He then goes home the next day covered in bite and scratch marks and LIES TO BELLA about fucking Laurie (when she tells him she cancelled her date) until she plays him the message of him fucking Laurie and shit talking Bella, captured on Bella's voicemail.
Bella then tells Aiden she’s moving out and he barges into her room while she’s changing, kisses her and tells her he’s following his heart and walks out. She goes to sleep and he moves her into his bed in the middle of the night. She wakes up confused and tells him his behavior is not okay. They then take a shower together and Bella jerks him off.
HE’S STILL COVERED IN SEX MARKS/HICKIES/SCRATCHES FROM LAURIE. I WANTED TO FICTIONALLY THROW UP
Aiden finally puts in some work for like a week. He picks Bella up to and from work, sends her flowers and takes her to dinner a few times. He LETS HER explore is body and get him off but he does not touch her. Again, da faq?! He teaches her how to jerk him off and suck his dick but does not give HER orgasms until later in the book!!!! All while KNOWING he’s going to use her for her virginity and break her heart.
I nod. “It did,” I admit. “But not because I’m in love with you, Bella. It’s because I’m selfish and I don’t want another man to touch what I want.” There, I’ve said it.
She shakes her head in disgust and picks some clothes up from the floor. “You’re a bastard.” I still her hands and pull her towards me. “I haven’t pretended I’m not. I was a bastard last night when you let me do all of those things to you. I was still a bastard today when you were sucking my cock, and I will still be a bastard tonight when I go and fuck Laurie or some other desperate bitch.”
“Fuck you, Aiden. Stay the hell away from me.”
“Until later when you’re in my bed,” I snap, “Because let’s face it, you aren’t going anywhere. You have nowhere to go, and you thought that by putting me in that position with Laurie, you’d be able to force my hand,” I hiss.
She stares down at the ground. “It’s backfired, because you don’t want to leave any more than I want you to. So do us both a favour and stop the dramatics, Bella, because I didn’t change the fucking rules.”
I leave the room, slamming the door. Aria looks up from her mobile. “She might need you,” I mutter, and she rolls her eyes.
“Fucking men,” she snaps, stomping past me.
WHAT EVEN IS THIS BOOK?!?!?!?!
Spoiler alert, he treats her like shit, plays with her emotions, fucks other women while doing sexual shit with her until he takes her virginity and fucks her over. She finds out from going through his office that he must “woo” her for 6- 8 weeks then take her virginity consensually or he does not get his dead brother’s half of the club. His dead twin, Jake set this up after meeting Bella a few times and thinking her and Aiden would be perfect together. Even after learning this, Bella sleeps with Aiden anyway just to get rid of her vCard. She cries the whole time and he accidentally on purpose has people walk in to witness it so he can inherit the nightclub. It’s brutal. She leaves him right after and moves in with her friend Cal- a PT instructor.
Aiden does feel guilty but even after taking her vCard, even after drinking for weeks for being such a piece of shit, he still SLEEPS WITH THIS MARRIED EX. Bella tries to make a fucking go of herself, finds someplace to live (roommates with Cal), goes into a business partnership with her bestie (opens a wedding cake bakery) and accepts a fucking check Aiden wrote her father (who gives it to her trying to make things right) which essentially makes her a prostitute.
10 weeks goes by with all this shit going on and shocker, Bella’s pregnant. Aiden shows up on her opening day of her bakery and she throws him out. Next, she sees him at the OBGYN and gee surprise surprise he’s with Laurie who has left her husband and is also pregnant with Aiden’s baby!
Bella refuses to tell him about her baby and since he sees her at the OBGYN, lies and says the baby is her friend Cal's. Aiden doubles down on making a life with Laurie while Bella is alone and running her bakery.
Another 10 weeks goes by and Aiden finds out Laurie lied and the baby is likely her husbands. He dumps her and engages in an orgy. Bella comes over to tell him about the baby and walks in on him fucking two women at once. It's graphic and on page. He chases after her and tells her about Laurie’s baby, how she lied and that it was for the best because “he hates kids” so Bella walks away without telling him about their baby.
Bella then MISCARRIES which should come with a TW because she’s 20 freaking weeks along and has to deliver.
She still will not tell Aiden even though he comes to comfort her when he hears after what happened. Like barely a week later, she’s clubbing again and she lets him still believe the baby is Cal’s even after Aiden sees Cal with another woman and accuses Cal of cheating on Bella. Bella just allows this. This friend Cal allowed her to move in, helped her with her store, took care of her after a miscarriage and she treats him like shit as a friend. Both characters are fucking trash.
Bella stays with Aiden for a week recovering from the miscarriage after he saw her clubbing. He keeps telling her they should work on a friendship, he’s decided he’s going cold turkey with no other women and keeps telling her no matter what, no matter how bad, “no more lies.”
Bella winces each time but continues to lie to him. The next morning, Cal catches Bella and Aiden fucking and tells her she needs to tell the truth. She leaves and comes back and confesses that Cal wasn’t the father of her baby but again, LIES and tells Aiden it was some other guy. (Gee for a virgin, she really gets fake around.) They sleep together again and get back together.
Aiden finds out the next day that she lied about the baby not being his and shows up with a morning after pill so she cannot “get pregnant again on purpose” and forces it down her throat. (Rolling my eyes, she was a virgin and he slept with her bare). Calls her basically gold digging, lying whore just like Laurie. Tells her they’re over and not to come into his club anymore that she’s banned and he’ll have her arrested. Goes on this big rant about how he chased her and groveled (Fucking when?!) and she just laughed behind his back.
He then sends everything she has at his house to her shop and has his friend JP threaten her. He also sends an envelope with a card of a lawyer’s name and says he’s suing her for half her shop. She says no and returns the papers. He sends his goon JP to threaten her again to sign the papers. She shows up and fights with him and says if he’ll be a silent partner she’ll sign. He does and she does. She then dramatically tells him she’s giving up her dreams and hiring a manager to run the shop so she doesn’t ever have to see him again because he broke her heart over and over.
A month later, Bella’s friends have a going away party. Bella shows up at the club after and asks to talk to Aiden who blows her off surrounded by women. She marches to his office and tries to explain why she didn’t tell him about the baby. He blows her off and says all women are liars. She explains that maybe they lie because of how he treats them and he dismisses her. She asks why he said he never wants children and hates them and he said that was just with Laurie.
She says well then what about me and he says quote “No Bella, I didn’t want kids with you either.”
She nods and leaves. Aiden sits there then thinks I can’t lose her I love her. WHAT?!?!?! He asks his friend where she went and they won’t tell him. They also say it’s weird she asked about kids and he dismisses them saying he watched her swallow a morning after pill.
(It’s obvious she’s pregnant, so this author thinks two miracle pregnancies happen like this!? After ONE single night of sex each?!)
Bella leaves London and moves to Scotland. Aiden gets drunk and admits he joined a dating app and that his “few weeks with Bella” was good until SHE fucked it all up. Weeks go by. Aiden keeps thinking it’s best that Bella left and her friends like to rub her new life in his face including telling him about the new hot doctor she met (they aren't together so this high school jealousy bullshit is so annoying). Aiden finds out Bella's in Scotland so he stalks her social media but keeps saying it’s for the best and he’s so over her. His friend JP and her friend Aria go to visit Bella at some point a few months into her pregnancy.
When they get back, Aiden is so jealous they saw her that he decides to call Bella just to fuck with her some more. He tells her he wants all the bakery and he’ll take her to court if she argues. He says it was his money that started it and she isn’t owed shit. He also says Laurie had the baby and he’s waiting for the DNA test to see if he has a son so will need MORE money even though he owns the club, the bar and 50% of her bakery. When she makes a snide comment on how he doesn’t want kids, he says no, I just don’t want kids with YOU.
“Congratulations,” she mutters, “Considering you didn’t want a kid you’re pretty keen on stepping up.”
“I didn’t say I didn’t want a kid, Isabella, I said I didn’t want one with you.”
“Jesus Aiden, do you sit and practice nasty lines to throw at me? Were you bored so you thought to yourself, I’ll give my ex a call seeing as I hate her so damn much, and I’ll throw some shit at her to ruin her fucking day. Well, mission accomplished, you’ve ruined my day so well done you. You aren’t having the business, I need it. So, take me to every court in the world, the answer won’t change. I moved away, I gave you half, I left my friends and still you want to destroy me.”
“Bella, calm down, think about your blood pressure.” I hear a male’s voice and my skin prickles. Is she ill?
She covers the mouthpiece, so I can’t hear what’s being said, and then she comes back on the line, “Aiden, I have to go.”
88% OF THE WAY THROUGH THE BOOK BELLA IS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT IN SCOTLAND AND AIDEN IS DATING SOME CHICK NAMED JENNIFER. He even, after only 4 dates, hires her at the bakery creating a unnecessary job for her without talking to Bella even though they’re co-owners. Her manager and friends have a massive problem with this and he threatens their jobs. (which makes zero sense since Aria owns the bakery half on her own). When his girlfriend calls him out on still loving Bella, he says he never loved her anyway, he just fucked her. Then Bella calls pissed about him hiring a fake apprentice that they don’t need, he’s rude to her and tells her he’s serious about his girlfriend. Bella hangs up and starts sobbing because once again, she wants to know why Aiden couldn’t love her or be serious with her. Rolling my eyes so hard
Bella's dads friend calls saying her dad is dying and she should take the train home to see him before he dies. Bella takes a train home, sits her dad, finds out he's dying then goes out to dinner with her friend Aria. Her friend Aria’s boyfriend, JP shows up with Aiden thinking Aria's cheating on him (no one told them Bella was in town) and Aiden’s new girlfriend also shows up. They have a uncomfortable dinner together where NO one seems to notice that Bella is 7+ months pregnant. Bella gets to sit there talking about her dying dad with Aiden rubbing his new girlfriend in Bella’s face.
Two weeks later, Bella’s dad is dead and Aiden’s girlfriend tells him Bella’s pregnant. He shows up at the funeral and she runs. He makes his friends and Aria come to the bar and asks if the baby is his. Calls Aria a lying whore. She tells him to finally leave Bella alone that all he does is make her sad. Aiden calls Bella and says he wants to chase her to Scotland and she texts him and tells him to pretend her and the child don’t exist. So he does.
Bella has the baby, a boy. Aiden dumps Jennifer and she shows him a picture of his son. He gets Bella’s address and shows up on her doorstep. Bella named the baby Braiden (Aiden) Jake (dead brother). He tells her he wants to be a parent. She says good. He says together? She says one step at a time.
Aiden gets jealous over her friend the doctor (because he’s a fucking looney toon) when the doctor has been there for NINE freaking months and delivered her baby!! (The doctor is a widow btw and adds almost nothing to the story except drama just like Cal.)
Aiden stays a month. Aria and JP show up and see the baby and give Aiden crap. He admits he wants Bella and Braiden and wants to marry Bella. Aiden sets up a date and tells Bella he bought her the cottage and the local bar for himself. She agrees so he admits he set up a wedding already. They get married.
18 months later, Bella is heavily pregnant again. HEA I guess.
What a terrible book. If this was real life, Aiden would be cheating on her 24/7 and she’d be a miserable cow at home with kids he didn’t want. This entire book they were never together until the end. They dramatically danced around each other while he slept with copious amounts of other women (mostly his ex) so he could take her vCard to get ownership of the club. This guy is already rich and owns two other businesses.
The only excuse I can see is that the author admits this was her first book and was never meant to be published. It was taken down at some point then put back up. Her other stories are far, far better than this one.
It's the characters I think that are so just God awful. 465 pages of them using and abusing each other while pretending to or actually fucking other people until a baby forces them together. A second baby. A second accidental one-time miracle pregnancy. Aiden is a misogynistic unrepentant asshole and Bella is a cliché doormat who can’t help love someone who absolutely does not love her back and has no problem telling her so.
Her father the next day, while sober, then decides to “protect” her by calling her ex-boyfriend Carl, a cop, whose already put her in the hospital once after she wouldn’t put out. She stays with him a single night because she has no other options (what!?) and the next night, while her life is in danger mind you, decides to go clubbing. Bella meets the dangerous club owner again Aiden who generously lets her be in the VIP area. Bella insults him, gets wasted falling drunk and has to be helped to the bathroom. She then strips naked and passes out drunk in his bed. He takes photos of her passed out. This girl is TSTL.
Meanwhile, the ex is going psycho and is blowing up her phone, threatening her, and saying he is going to illegally track her phone. She hurries up to go pacify him.
We also learn Aiden has ulterior motives and “needs” her virginity but we do not know why. In addition, we learn about his first love Laurie, who is now married, but still cheats on her rich asshole husband with Aiden quite frequently.
Bella goes home to Carl; the ex and he beats her because he sees photos that Aiden took of Bella sleeping in his bed. (Slaps, punches, chokes then tries to sexually assault her). Carl is stopped by one of Aiden’s goons and takes her to Aiden, who is in the process of fingering another woman. Aiden jumps up when he sees Bella bloody and offers magnanimously offers to let her stay with him and convinces her to come out clubbing that night. She agrees. (Remember, she is bloody and has been punched and choked so wtf?!)
Another scene shows Aiden and his goon JP talking about Bella and how to win her over so she will sleep with him. He will pretend to not want her, screw her then throw her away. We still do not know why. So in a stroke of genius, he has decided to throw other women in her face to get her attention. Rolling my eyes.
While at the club, he takes two women to his office to fuck after making sure Bella saw him kissing/touching them. Her friends, Aria and gay couple Jack and Beck convince her that because he’s SO hot she should sleep with him too even though she tells them she’s seen him with three different women in less than 12 hours.
He also makes sure to tell Bella he’s not monogamous, he doesn’t like relationships, he isn’t friends with women he sleeps with and he loves random pussy.
This is repeated ad nauseum most of the book. For real.
Aiden gets jealous at the bar of Bella dancing with other men then ruins it by opening his mouth and saying his bullshit. He offers to take Bella home then ditches her. She runs away (again despite danger she’s in) and he calls her pissed off. She hangs up on him. Aiden gets pissed but we see he’s at a hotel with his married ex, Laurie and we get the absolute pleasure of a scene of them performing oral, having vaginal sex then anal while she’s shit talking the girl on his socials and he’s calling her trash. So, he ditched Bella for his married ex, got jealous of her dancing with other men but is supposed to win her virginity.
Basically, the entire book is like this. It's revolting.
Bella tries to go on a date with a nice guy named Luke next. Aiden shows up saying he desperately needs her help. He takes Bella to a party and says he really needs a fake date, and informs her that he needs her to convince people they are together. She does this. Laurie shows up and he walks away from Bella and fucks Laurie on a balcony only to have Bella walk in on them. He chases Bella and tells her he’s sorry. He's a walking STD. Bella’s friends tell her she can’t be jealous because they aren’t together. So he's using Bella, having her do favors for him, trying to get her to lose her vCard but walks away from her at every sniff of Laurie's P.
The next day, Aiden and Bella are trying to be “friends” after arguing and are watching a movie and eating dinner, he’s telling Bella how toxic Laurie is and how he fucked her on her wedding day and liked it but that they’re terrible for each other. Laurie calls endlessly. He asks Bella to answer and tell her off so she does. He then kisses Bella. (This is like a single DAY after he was fucking Laurie!!!)
Then Luke, Bella’s onetime date calls and she answers. Aiden gets so jealous; he tells Bella to fuck off and goes to meet Laurie in the hotel to fuck her again. Laurie then sets it up so Aiden’s phone calls Bella while he’s shit talking her saying she’s a useless virgin looking for a free ride then records him fucking her (Laurie.) He then goes home the next day covered in bite and scratch marks and LIES TO BELLA about fucking Laurie (when she tells him she cancelled her date) until she plays him the message of him fucking Laurie and shit talking Bella, captured on Bella's voicemail.
Bella then tells Aiden she’s moving out and he barges into her room while she’s changing, kisses her and tells her he’s following his heart and walks out. She goes to sleep and he moves her into his bed in the middle of the night. She wakes up confused and tells him his behavior is not okay. They then take a shower together and Bella jerks him off.

Aiden finally puts in some work for like a week. He picks Bella up to and from work, sends her flowers and takes her to dinner a few times. All while KNOWING he’s going to use her for her virginity and break her heart.
I nod. “It did,” I admit. “But not because I’m in love with you, Bella. It’s because I’m selfish and I don’t want another man to touch what I want.” There, I’ve said it.
She shakes her head in disgust and picks some clothes up from the floor. “You’re a bastard.” I still her hands and pull her towards me. “I haven’t pretended I’m not. I was a bastard last night when you let me do all of those things to you. I was still a bastard today when you were sucking my cock, and I will still be a bastard tonight when I go and fuck Laurie or some other desperate bitch.”
“Fuck you, Aiden. Stay the hell away from me.”
“Until later when you’re in my bed,” I snap, “Because let’s face it, you aren’t going anywhere. You have nowhere to go, and you thought that by putting me in that position with Laurie, you’d be able to force my hand,” I hiss.

Spoiler alert, he treats her like shit, plays with her emotions, fucks other women while doing sexual shit with her until he takes her virginity and fucks her over. She finds out from going through his office that he must “woo” her for 6- 8 weeks then take her virginity consensually or he does not get his dead brother’s half of the club. His dead twin, Jake set this up after meeting Bella a few times and thinking her and Aiden would be perfect together. Even after learning this, Bella sleeps with Aiden anyway just to get rid of her vCard. She cries the whole time and he accidentally on purpose has people walk in to witness it so he can inherit the nightclub. It’s brutal. She leaves him right after and moves in with her friend Cal- a PT instructor.
Aiden does feel guilty but even after taking her vCard, even after drinking for weeks for being such a piece of shit, he still SLEEPS WITH THIS MARRIED EX. Bella tries to make a fucking go of herself, finds someplace to live (roommates with Cal), goes into a business partnership with her bestie (opens a wedding cake bakery) and accepts a fucking check Aiden wrote her father (who gives it to her trying to make things right) which essentially makes her a prostitute.
10 weeks goes by with all this shit going on and shocker, Bella’s pregnant. Aiden shows up on her opening day of her bakery and she throws him out. Next, she sees him at the OBGYN and gee surprise surprise he’s with Laurie who has left her husband and is also pregnant with Aiden’s baby!
Bella refuses to tell him about her baby and since he sees her at the OBGYN, lies and says the baby is her friend Cal's. Aiden doubles down on making a life with Laurie while Bella is alone and running her bakery.
Another 10 weeks goes by and Aiden finds out Laurie lied and the baby is likely her husbands. He dumps her and engages in an orgy. Bella comes over to tell him about the baby and walks in on him fucking two women at once. It's graphic and on page. He chases after her and tells her about Laurie’s baby, how she lied and that it was for the best because “he hates kids” so Bella walks away without telling him about their baby.
Bella then MISCARRIES which should come with a TW because she’s 20 freaking weeks along and has to deliver.
She still will not tell Aiden even though he comes to comfort her when he hears after what happened. Like barely a week later, she’s clubbing again and she lets him still believe the baby is Cal’s even after Aiden sees Cal with another woman and accuses Cal of cheating on Bella. Bella just allows this. This friend Cal allowed her to move in, helped her with her store, took care of her after a miscarriage and she treats him like shit as a friend. Both characters are fucking trash.
Bella stays with Aiden for a week recovering from the miscarriage after he saw her clubbing. He keeps telling her they should work on a friendship, he’s decided he’s going cold turkey with no other women and keeps telling her no matter what, no matter how bad, “no more lies.”
Bella winces each time but continues to lie to him. The next morning, Cal catches Bella and Aiden fucking and tells her she needs to tell the truth. She leaves and comes back and confesses that Cal wasn’t the father of her baby but again, LIES and tells Aiden it was some other guy. (Gee for a virgin, she really gets fake around.) They sleep together again and get back together.
Aiden finds out the next day that she lied about the baby not being his and shows up with a morning after pill so she cannot “get pregnant again on purpose” and forces it down her throat. (Rolling my eyes, she was a virgin and he slept with her bare). Calls her basically gold digging, lying whore just like Laurie. Tells her they’re over and not to come into his club anymore that she’s banned and he’ll have her arrested. Goes on this big rant about how he chased her and groveled (Fucking when?!) and she just laughed behind his back.
He then sends everything she has at his house to her shop and has his friend JP threaten her. He also sends an envelope with a card of a lawyer’s name and says he’s suing her for half her shop. She says no and returns the papers. He sends his goon JP to threaten her again to sign the papers. She shows up and fights with him and says if he’ll be a silent partner she’ll sign. He does and she does. She then dramatically tells him she’s giving up her dreams and hiring a manager to run the shop so she doesn’t ever have to see him again because he broke her heart over and over.
A month later, Bella’s friends have a going away party. Bella shows up at the club after and asks to talk to Aiden who blows her off surrounded by women. She marches to his office and tries to explain why she didn’t tell him about the baby. He blows her off and says all women are liars. She explains that maybe they lie because of how he treats them and he dismisses her. She asks why he said he never wants children and hates them and he said that was just with Laurie.
She says well then what about me and he says quote “No Bella, I didn’t want kids with you either.”
She nods and leaves. Aiden sits there then thinks I can’t lose her I love her. WHAT?!?!?! He asks his friend where she went and they won’t tell him. They also say it’s weird she asked about kids and he dismisses them saying he watched her swallow a morning after pill.
(It’s obvious she’s pregnant, so this author thinks two miracle pregnancies happen like this!? After ONE single night of sex each?!)
Bella leaves London and moves to Scotland. Aiden gets drunk and admits he joined a dating app and that his “few weeks with Bella” was good until SHE fucked it all up. Weeks go by. Aiden keeps thinking it’s best that Bella left and her friends like to rub her new life in his face including telling him about the new hot doctor she met (they aren't together so this high school jealousy bullshit is so annoying). Aiden finds out Bella's in Scotland so he stalks her social media but keeps saying it’s for the best and he’s so over her. His friend JP and her friend Aria go to visit Bella at some point a few months into her pregnancy.
When they get back, Aiden is so jealous they saw her that he decides to call Bella just to fuck with her some more. He tells her he wants all the bakery and he’ll take her to court if she argues. He says it was his money that started it and she isn’t owed shit. He also says Laurie had the baby and he’s waiting for the DNA test to see if he has a son so will need MORE money even though he owns the club, the bar and 50% of her bakery. When she makes a snide comment on how he doesn’t want kids, he says no, I just don’t want kids with YOU.
“Congratulations,” she mutters, “Considering you didn’t want a kid you’re pretty keen on stepping up.”
“I didn’t say I didn’t want a kid, Isabella, I said I didn’t want one with you.”
“Jesus Aiden, do you sit and practice nasty lines to throw at me? Were you bored so you thought to yourself, I’ll give my ex a call seeing as I hate her so damn much, and I’ll throw some shit at her to ruin her fucking day. Well, mission accomplished, you’ve ruined my day so well done you. You aren’t having the business, I need it. So, take me to every court in the world, the answer won’t change. I moved away, I gave you half, I left my friends and still you want to destroy me.”
“Bella, calm down, think about your blood pressure.” I hear a male’s voice and my skin prickles. Is she ill?
She covers the mouthpiece, so I can’t hear what’s being said, and then she comes back on the line, “Aiden, I have to go.”
88% OF THE WAY THROUGH THE BOOK BELLA IS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT IN SCOTLAND AND AIDEN IS DATING SOME CHICK NAMED JENNIFER. He even, after only 4 dates, hires her at the bakery creating a unnecessary job for her without talking to Bella even though they’re co-owners. Her manager and friends have a massive problem with this and he threatens their jobs. (which makes zero sense since Aria owns the bakery half on her own). When his girlfriend calls him out on still loving Bella, he says he never loved her anyway, he just fucked her. Then Bella calls pissed about him hiring a fake apprentice that they don’t need, he’s rude to her and tells her he’s serious about his girlfriend. Bella hangs up and starts sobbing because once again, she wants to know why Aiden couldn’t love her or be serious with her. Rolling my eyes so hard
Bella's dads friend calls saying her dad is dying and she should take the train home to see him before he dies. Bella takes a train home, sits her dad, finds out he's dying then goes out to dinner with her friend Aria. Her friend Aria’s boyfriend, JP shows up with Aiden thinking Aria's cheating on him (no one told them Bella was in town) and Aiden’s new girlfriend also shows up. They have a uncomfortable dinner together where NO one seems to notice that Bella is 7+ months pregnant. Bella gets to sit there talking about her dying dad with Aiden rubbing his new girlfriend in Bella’s face.
Two weeks later, Bella’s dad is dead and Aiden’s girlfriend tells him Bella’s pregnant. He shows up at the funeral and she runs. He makes his friends and Aria come to the bar and asks if the baby is his. Calls Aria a lying whore. She tells him to finally leave Bella alone that all he does is make her sad. Aiden calls Bella and says he wants to chase her to Scotland and she texts him and tells him to pretend her and the child don’t exist. So he does.
Bella has the baby, a boy. Aiden dumps Jennifer and she shows him a picture of his son. He gets Bella’s address and shows up on her doorstep. Bella named the baby Braiden (Aiden) Jake (dead brother). He tells her he wants to be a parent. She says good. He says together? She says one step at a time.
Aiden gets jealous over her friend the doctor (because he’s a fucking looney toon) when the doctor has been there for NINE freaking months and delivered her baby!! (The doctor is a widow btw and adds almost nothing to the story except drama just like Cal.)
Aiden stays a month. Aria and JP show up and see the baby and give Aiden crap. He admits he wants Bella and Braiden and wants to marry Bella. Aiden sets up a date and tells Bella he bought her the cottage and the local bar for himself. She agrees so he admits he set up a wedding already. They get married.
18 months later, Bella is heavily pregnant again. HEA I guess.

She arrives home to find the MMC is there, where he informs her of something her dad had done that will place her in danger so he offers a solution to keep her safe. Little does she now this was all a plan because the MMC is working to fullfil a contract created by his deceased brother. The terms involve the FMC and he needs her to fall for him, among other things.
This begins the web of lies and deception from both the FMC and the MMC. The MMC also has an ex that stirs up trouble and causes a ton of drama with the couple. It’s like they were doomed from the beginning even though the MMC’s brother had such high hopes they would be the people to make each other happy. Deciding to be done with all the drama, the FMC moves away.
Months pass and the MMC can’t seem to move on from the FMC so he tracks her down to finally let her know he has changed and wants to settle down. Bella reveals her final secret which the MMC fully understands how everything happened and takes responsibility for his part. But can the MMC accept he has changed and let him back into her life is the biggest question?

This would be a good book if some did a proofread and they kept the names of the characters right. Aiden is just a man whore and throws tantrums when things don’t go his way. His toxic relationship with his ex is just over the top. Aiden and Bell go through an emotional roller coaster ride. He doesn’t want anything serious but doesn’t know how to stay away from her. He keeps asking her to hangout gets mad when she has date plans and goes to fuck Laurie (his ex). She knows he is not the relationship type and she is still a V. She admits he is hot but knows he will only break her heart. Bell finds out that Aiden’s dead brother has left him a challenge to complete before be can take full ownership of the club. To get to know her for two months and take her V card. She sleeps with him hoping he would tell her the truth but he doesn’t he just uses her. She leaves and finds out she is pregnant but also finds out his ex is pregnant (not his kid). She also open a bakery with the money her dad for getting her and Aiden to meet. She loses the baby and somehow get back w Aiden. For Aiden to fin out she never told him he was the dad not Cal her best friend/PT/roommate. He is so mad at her he wants half of her bakery because she open the bakery w his money. She gives in but also ends up moving to Scotland and is pregnant again with his kid. He finds out when she returns to see her dying dad. He loves her but his pride always has him saying mean things to her just to get her to fight w him. He finds out from the girl that he is dating that Bell had a baby boy and she gives him Bell’s address because she knows he is in love with Bell. He goes to see Bell and his son and ends up staying with her and trying to win her back and work on their relationship.

Let’s say that….he gets around. Often. Frequently.
Like for 50% of the last half of the book - he’s in explicit situations with OW and not with the MFC.
I didn’t think an author would write a plot with a MMC like this and call it a romance but ….here we are with this story

Ok I didn’t love nor hate this one - I was intrigued by it when I saw a promo for it and overall I enjoyed it, sometimes you need an angsty romance filled with drama and betrayal that all eventually wraps up in a HEA. This one maybe just had a bit too much drama for me, I would’ve loved it once the mmc (Aiden) messed up he really focused on sorting his shit out and then the same for the fmc (Bella) with a focus on grovelling and making up for their wrong doings on both parts to be honest. It does show though that sometimes we make a mistake and continue to do so when we get so far into our heads rather than stopping and just sitting down to talk - so I can definitely get why the main character’s kept losing it. But if you love drama, angst, betrayal, that does come with a HEA then you will enjoy this one because the author does not hold back!

This book had so much twists and turns. Aiden and Bella were so good for each other but Aiden was so pigheaded and stubborn to see what they had and just acted out when he didn't like something. It was giving alpha male possessive vibes. Touch her and die like vibes. But Jake was great that he brought them together. It took them a long long time to get to the point that they needed to be. They both had to grow into themselves and learn who they were before being in a relationship. They had their own issues they needed to deal with to be the best versions of themselves. It was a slow burn in a sense that it took a while for them to get to the point they needed to be. Bacillus the whole book was back and forth. But I completely enjoyed my first book from Nicola.

Ohhh this book will give you all the emotions. What a read it was. There was a few times I’ve wanted to scream at Aiden for what he was doing . I’m not going to say much about the story as it will only give it away. I loved Bella I think the choices she made were right for her. All I’ll say is definitely go and read it you will not be disappointed. As always Nicola done an amazing job with the book 📕

Did the author dump her head?
What the heck happened? This book was horrible, and that is being nice. There is not a single likeable character.
I have enjoyed this Authors previous books, but this was just straight up a waste of my time. I kept thinking it would improve but nope, no such luck.
I would strongly suggest this author get new beta readers. They should have been honest with her. The story is lacking in so many ways.

DEVIL WINS
What a book, Nicola Jane, I could not put this down. I read this in 1 afternoon and was so obsessed 😍 so much happening lots of drama and back and forth with the banter so different to her normal books but she excelled with this..... thank you for such a great story .... loved it !!

Dayum!!
So much drama!! I love a good crazy wtf did I just read story and this definitely fits. I had no idea where this story was going. I REALLY wanted more grovel from Aiden, I mean he was a total douche to Bella and I think she forgave him way too easily. Don’t get me wrong, Bella made her own mistakes but they were made based off Aiden’s actions/attitude.

This was a bitter sweet book some of it made me tear up over the things this girl went through but Aiden comes to bella rescue supposly her father trying to sell her virginity in the middle of games being played she falls for him and he is awful to her to a certain point he loves her but don't know how until she cuts all ties it's then he realize what he lost

if you want to rage read, pick this book for sure.
zero safety, playboy sleeping around before during and after being with the FMC, virgin with a Body betraying Syndrome and who is also forced to apologize for her decisions.

I loved this book first time round and really enjoyed this re written version Aidan is still an idiot but eventually he learns but its a great story watching him get there and him and Bella getting their hea

Aiden and Bellas story isn't an easy one, the deception and lies lead to more than heart ache but can there ever be any redemption for them both? Well written the story is engaging, kept my attention and hade on an emotional rollor coaster!

I loved this story! It was a refreshing break from "cookie-cutter" stories! I don't think I have ever read a story with this plot & I was all in for it! The reason behind the shenanigans made my heart happy!

Loved this book. It's full of anguish, hate and love between Bella and Aiden. Aiden needs one thing from Bella in order to keep his club and has to trick her but real feelings come to the forefront. Can two damage souls repair each other or is it to late?

poor choices and life get in the way
I loved the characters and the obstacles they had to overcome. Make sure to check your triggers. There are a couple here. The twists and turns were entertaining and it was a fast read.

This book is a angsty romance filled with drama and betrayal that and OW drama. Aiden is a big douche and doesn’t grovel enough to Bella for everything he put her through. This was an ok book compared to what the author usually writes

I like a good grovel but dang it I hated Aiden from start to finish. He didn’t deserve Bella. At. All. And she was so weak for that garbage human being. I can’t wrap my brain around it.
