Rate this book
Ethan Miller isn’t just chasing me—he’s fighting destiny to make me his.

I wanted to hate him. Instead, I buried the heartbreak and swore I’d never look back.

But you can’t outrun fate—or the Alpha who’s suddenly everywhere. He’s at my doorstep, in my thoughts, stealing every chance to pull me back. His touch burns, his gaze lingers, and his presence demands.

Now, Ethan is desperate to claim what he once threw away.

But he will never know the truth I’ve hidden all these

It’s like a bad Google translation.

“My legs were lifted above my head, the pussy between them like a dewy rose in the morning, and the Alpha moved with determination, pressing that very scary looking hot cock against the biting hole, fucking savagely into territory that no one had ever entered before. The wet, lewd pussy was freshly opened and was roughly pushed up against it, bringing out the lewd water that had soaked inside and still managed to greedily wrap around it and suck it in.”

Story was all over the place!
This story had a great idea but boy was it all over the place. I have never come across a shifter romance with a twist and I was there for it. Mr. Cat/Ethan was brilliant and Claire and Omega caught my heart. However there were so many loose ends left, such as what happened to the white kitten, was it Alex or even better, what happened to Alex. I was confused that when Alex first started Ruby made mention of him but then Jay proposed. Wait Ruby and Jay. Then the POV was so off. The scene would be told by Claire then repeated word for word from Ethan's POV with nothing added. Slow burn with absolutely no spice until the epilogue and then the ending left me totally confused as well. Really should have focused on the Mr. Cat theme in my opinion.

The description of this book sounded good. The plot solid, the characters all written appropriate for their place in the book.

The length of 319 is not over long but I struggled to finish. There are many typos that the further into the book started to be detracting to the story. The plot slowed down so, while I like the story, the twists and turns different I can’t say it was a favourite which bothers me as I want five star every book I read.

This was... Um... Bad.

Thank you Krista for the ARC.

Alrighty, the start of this book started out interesting enough. Then you get to about the 60% mark and things just spiral into a mess of words. This really felt like I was reading a really poorly constructed 2nd or 3rd draft that desperately needs to be sent to an editor. That being said, I have read other books by this author... and they were GOOD! So, I am more confused than anything that this represents more firestarter than a well written book.

Far too long, jumping between tenses, chapters that bring you back in time. At the end of the day I was glad to have this over. Hopefully the next one will be better.

A little bit confusing.

i didn't even make it to the end of chapter eight. This story is all over the place.

I understand dual points of view but the way this was written was very confusing. One minute you are reading about Claire and the next you are going back a week and in Alex's pov. Although Krista did change chapters, you are left confused as you are back to the beginning in his happenings.

Another confusing item is in one paragraph the cat has ocean- blue eyes and then in another paragraph he has green eyes. I was also confused due to Claire shifting to her wolf form but still able to verbally talk to the cat like when she is human although the cat cannot verbally speak to Leon while shifted.

The characters are not really described or well developed and seem to lack relatability. The emotions that come with a fated rejection were glossed over, she wakes up in the hospital no clue how she got there what happened, how long she was there, next thing she is walking out of work after taking 8 days off and sees the cat and cheerfully talks to him and bandages his foot then goes home (no clue how, walks? Drives? How far) and is then happily talking to mom and sister.

Needs to be edited a little better as well, some words should be in past tense to make sense for the way the sentence is written.

First off, Miss author-send your book back to the editing stage. There are so many typos and misprint sometimes it’s hard to follow your plot and where you’re trying to go with your thoughts
Second-if you’re gonna include him turning into a cat, which is a stupid idea-at least explain it. You never told us if he had control if he could it was just awful.
And your epilogue was two years later and you wanted to try to throw a plot twist in there and you never explained half the crap that happened in your book.
I can only hope with how poorly this is done that this was your first attempt at writing a book and you only got one star because I had to give it otherwise heaven
This was one of the worst books I’ve ever read

something not right

This was like a translation from a different language. They did not get it right. Almost like a storyline from a Chinese novel. Parts of the story didn’t make sense.

This could have been a good story

Instead it’s has a bizarre plot with so many spelling and grammatical errors that I felt like I was constantly sending error reports for content on every other page. At times it reads like complete nonsense as though it was written by someone whose first language isn’t English. Or by a faulty AI.
At one point during a sex scene between the two main characters they suddenly evolved into two men.
I’m still not sure why I actually persevered to the end.

The ending was very rushed in comparison to the rest of the book and the epilogue was even weirder. I have no idea whether or not to look at other books by the author. Maybe the wrong copy was published in error?

I really wanted to like this novel. The premise had so much potential. It just didn’t live up to expectations. The development of the story was slow and the conflict was not fully established. The love scenes were awful. At some point in the novel, it felt like the author ran out of ideas or wasn’t sure how to move forward with the story. The ending was also confusing.

**Spoilers to follow, but I could not explain my reasoning for how I felt about the book without them....sorry**

I am sorry but this was the worst written and most confusing shifter romance I have ever read, and I have read a lot of bad ones. I feel the author did not even read through her writings, and honestly, I do not feel that there was even an editing stage.
The book was like a translation from a Korean drama, or a book that was on one of those pay per chapter books, but it was not a great translation. The amount of spelling and grammar errors were phenomenal, but this was not just isolated to a chapter or two, it was all the way through the book.
I was not a fan of the actual storyline; I am not sure that the big bad Alpha then transforming into a sweet little pussy cat was a smart way to go nor do I feel that there was anything actually showing they were mates, or that they actually were shifters all through the book. When the storyline was okay, the writing was so all over the place, you could not enjoy it.
One minute she is going to work, a car comes ploughing towards her and Mr Cat jumps in to save the day, off to the vet, he then turns to Ethan and then it is night, and she is going to bed. This example was captured over and over, start of the day, she starts her day, next minute she is going to bed at night.
I felt the only sex scene was not fitting for the book, it was just too dirty for the storyline. This part of the book was so badly written and did not fit.
Then we have the Alpha trial..... there was the first part, but then he is the Alpha and that was that, how was it agreed that he could have the alpha position when this storyline was not finished.
Then we have the Epilogue, which is supposed to be two years after the fact. But here the sex scene described, is like her first time seeing him naked and the first time they are having sex, so out of character with the other sex scene that is in the book. Also, there is a new storyline coming in in the epilogue, that does not even go anywhere, it is completely off course, like we are ready to continue the book. Then it stops.

This book blurb drew me in.

You have a stubborn Alpha named Ethan who meets his fated mate in his place of business. After meeting her briefly he decides that Claire his mate is just too weak to be his Luna so arranges a meeting in a café to reject her. After her first encounter with Ethan she is down and doesn’t understand his reaction of lack of reaction to her being his mate but when she a message asking her to meet him it gives her hope but for that to be dashed.

I am not sure if it is by chance or if the Moon Goddess is playing her crafty tricky on this Alpha but an experiment, he has workers working on goes amiss which affects him. After the effects of the experiment he starts to see the potential in Claire and realises that he was wrong in his assumption of her so starts turning up when Claire least expects it as like most rejected mates she is trying to avoid him. Is Ethan able to win his fated mate back or will he lose out?

I did find this book a slow burner. The characters could be developed more, and some added spice would be nice. There are a few loose ends that need clearing up, but I did find it an easy read.

Hmm. So much going on in here .

Wow.....

This book, at times, seemed like it was 2 different books , written by 2 very different people.
Claire is an omega, the very bottom of any pack. She has just found out that her boss, a man she has known since high school, is her fated mate.
But he rejects her.
So , she feels that she must reject him. Even though it's the opposite of what she wants.
Ethan is absolutely gobsmacked that this nobody omega is his fated mate. How could the goddess have gotten it so wrong ??? He just wants this situation over.
And when it is, when she is gone, he learns that the goddess may not have made a mistake after all.
Not gonna lie, there were a LOT of typos and words that didn't make sense to me. But I plowed through , and it's not a bad story. Could it have been better ?? Yes !! But I'm not one 2 down an artists work. At LOT was ok with this story. Don't want to make any spoilers , but I did have a hard time with all the bouncing back and forth and who was speaking. Also , there were times when there should be clearly a line denoting a different time or an end to a situation. This book didn't always have that. But , all in all, not a terrible read.

Heartache. Longing. Redemption. If you love second-chance shifter romances with fiery tension, unresolved emotions, and an Alpha who will stop at nothing to reclaim his fated mate, Rejected by My Billionaire Alpha by Krista Lark is the kind of book that will have you clutching your heart and flipping pages at lightning speed.

From the very first chapter, you’re pulled into the emotional storm of the heroine’s pain. The words “You’re not my mate” echo like a dagger through the soul, and I felt every ounce of her heartbreak. The pain of rejection is raw and visceral, but she doesn’t crumble. She becomes stronger, more determined, and fiercely independent. Her resilience is one of the highlights of the book. It’s impossible not to root for her as she faces down the same man who once shattered her.

And then, there’s Ethan. Possessive. Obsessive. Relentless. He’s the Alpha who made the biggest mistake of his life, and he knows it. The way he chases her, invades her space, and refuses to let her go is the very definition of an Alpha male driven by instinct and regret. You know he’s going to grovel — and oh, how satisfying it is to watch him squirm. Ethan's transformation from cold-hearted Alpha to desperate, love-struck mate is chef’s kiss perfection.

The push-and-pull between them is deliciously intense. Their every encounter crackles with chemistry, unresolved anger, and that simmering attraction that never really went away. The slow reveal of her hidden secret adds another layer of emotional depth, and I found myself holding my breath, waiting for the moment Ethan would discover the truth.

The emotional weight of this story is heavy — betrayal, longing, and love that never really faded. If you love the “I hate you but I love you” dynamic, this one is going to hit all your favorite buttons. It’s packed with:

Second-chance romance (because nothing hits harder than love after betrayal)
Alpha possessiveness (he’s overbearing, protective, and just the right amount of obsessive)
Fated mates (and oh, the pain of rejection is real)
Hidden secrets (you’ll be dying for Ethan to discover the truth)

One of the things I loved most is how the heroine holds her ground. She doesn’t just fall at his feet the second he shows up. She makes him work for every glance, every touch, and every sliver of hope that they might have a chance. That slow-burn emotional payoff is everything. Watching Ethan face the consequences of his mistakes while still being undeniably, passionately in love with her? Perfection.

And of course, the steam. Oh, the steam. Every moment between them is charged with intensity, and when it finally boils over, it’s explosive in every possible way. If you love a hero who loses control only for her, Ethan delivers.

The climax will have you on edge. The reveal of secrets, the raw emotions, and the final resolution feel deeply earned. This isn’t a story of "I love you" fixing everything. It’s about rebuilding, about earning love back, and about destiny finding a way even when you try to fight it.

If you’re a fan of fated mates, Alpha shifters who grovel, and emotionally charged second-chance romances, Rejected by My Billionaire Alpha is a must-read. It’s the kind of story that stays with you, the kind that makes you believe that even the most broken love can be mended. Ethan and his mate’s journey is one you’ll be thinking about long after the final page.

Rating: 5/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tropes you’ll love: Rejected mate, second-chance romance, Alpha groveling, hidden secret, destined love
Steam level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (When they finally collide, it’s scorching)

If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing a powerful Alpha broken down by love, this is it. Ethan’s pursuit of the one woman who refuses to be his again is heart-pounding, emotional, and oh-so-satisfying. You’ll feel every bit of the heartbreak, longing, and ultimate surrender in Rejected by My Billionaire Alpha. Don’t miss this one.

Yep, you might want to make sure you are comfortable because you won’t be putting this one down despite the way it reads a little all over the place. Ethan a billionaire, dominant alpha who has waited for his mate but when he discovers she is an omega immediately he assumes she isn’t strong enough to be his mate, the moon goddess made a mistake and so his only option is to reject her. Claire is sweet an omega working in the same building with the CEO whom she has known for most of her life so when she realizes that he is her mate but when he asks her out for coffee only to reject her devastates her to the point of needing hospitalization. But waking she realizes she is much stronger than she knew but she also shows him she isn’t just an omega like he thought but he also discovers now that he has rejected another has stepped in wanting her but will he let her go or will he be honest owning up to his rash decision, will she accept him or reject him, and can they find their own path to something more like happiness?

Call me stupified because I'm so confused. (Spoilers ahead)

What is up with that ending? Was it all a dream I have reread the last couple of chapters twice and I am still so confused.

Plot:
He rejects her because she's an Omega and he knows his family would not approve. She falls into some deep fever which sends her to the hospital for 7 days.

___________
Then some failed experiment happened which turned him into a cat. So he became her cat. He sees a side of her and falls in love. He works hard to win her back. He fights with his family and finally stands up to them. They stand up to the world. Then they get married and have sex.

But wait.......the ending shows him waking up at his desk and going to find his wife only to find out she left the country after she got out of the hospital (right after he rejected her) so everything in this book basically was just him dreaming it. Or maybe the goddess was showing him what he could have had. IDK. He goes home and she's there in his bed.

Ugh...if somebody knows please let me know. I'm so confused.

This book felt like a teenager wrote it about some girl-boy fantasy. Neither character was well written or defined, I could feel no chemistry there. Claire was indeed a very weak character. Told in two POV but very repetitive chapters. She is holding Mr. Cat when he turns into Ethan and the next chapter she hasn't seen Mr. Cat for three days and doesn't know he is Ethan. What is the trial of legacy, since it was really not explained? There was no real transition between a lot of scenes. Quite confusing. I felt the Epilogue was quite rushed. She had been with him for 2 years but had not seen his package, because she mentions it is HUMUNGOUS? It never really explains how he managed to retain the company or his being made Alpha. Was the ending a dream or what happened there. Not my kind of book. I was very disappointed.

I can normally work through a book

This was a DNF at 55%. It was just too hard. The first 25% was really good. It was easy to follow and the dialogue was definitive. Then around 30-35% in quotation marks started dropping and you couldn’t differentiate between their “wolves” talking to them and their own inner dialogue. It got confusing and the thoughts that they were having were jumbled, jumping around and contradicting their own thoughts. At one point it was as if the FMC jumped into the MMC’s thoughts and for 2 paragraphs you got the FMC’s thoughts in the MMC’s point POV chapter. There were entire pages repeated…and this was all before 50% in. It took such a nosedive in editing I honestly was pulled from the book to such an extent I genuinely can’t continue. I REALLY hope the author edits this book because I would without a doubt come back to it. I just can’t read it with the way it is now.

Ethan is an alpha wolf shifter, CEO of his company, and a billionaire. Claire has known him since she was younger. She works in the building and is an Omega. She discovers he is her fated mate, yet he rejects her. She is terribly unhappy and hurt. He did it for personal reasons. A failed experiment will leave him in a vulnerable shape, but will it? There will be things he will discover, new experiences, new feelings, and new awareness.

Claire is also a very talented painter. When her skills go viral, she will know new fame like never before. She wants Ethan, but she also does not want him to reject her again. It will literally be a game of cat and mouse! He will discover another wants her as well. He needs to make up his mind and act upon it before it is too late. What will happen?

I knew Kate was trouble…

Maybe werewolf businesses hire like that, but usually you have to actually be qualified! This is a fun little story, that could have been four stars if this was proofed and edited correctly. There are a huge number of sentences that make absolutely no sense at all. Using the wrong gender, like she when it was he. Verbs being left out, or then nouns being missing. It was not good…

If there was a service used to edit this book, the author was ripped off. She needs to get a refund. This was really bad.

The rejection didn’t seem to cause a really huge problem. But that Kate person knew she was the mate and made her professional life a living nightmare. Mean girl who wants to be the mate. She was nasty.

KU read fortunately. No way would I pay for this mess… sorry!

I absolutely loved reading this book I was hooked from the start I couldn't put it down, the story was written well and the characters were sensational. This story was about Ethan, and Claire's, Ethan is a dominant Alpha boss he just happens to be her boss. Claire received a phone call it's to meet at a Cafe she was excited until he told her he rejected her as his mate, it landed Claire in hospital devastated. Things happen as if the moon goddess is playing tricks.

I loved Rejected by My Billionaire Alpha. Ethan thought she was too weak to be his mate. He rejected Claire. It hurt her beyond belief and she could never forgive him. An experiment gone wrong changes his perspective and gives him a chance to see another side of his mate and his strong she really is. Claire tries to keep her distance from Ethan but he keeps showing up. She doesn’t know if she can ever forgive him for his rejection. I loved the story and the characters I woukd definitely recommend this book.

Enchanted wolf

This is really not an adult book. The plot is tropy at best and fairytale. They are wolf shifters, but the pack doesn't believe in fated mates, and believes Omegas are simply weak wolves not to be considered. Of course the soon to be alpha is fated to an omega woman and her rejects her because she doesn't fit the traditional hierarchy for an alpha's mates. Then the plot introduces a machine that can do great things, but basically allows the alpha to turn into a basic housecat. As a cat he follows her home, returning to human during the days. Lots of other woman, other man drama. Weird but happy ending.

This book is all over the place.

I initially was very into this read. As the book progressed I had a hard time figuring out where it was going. I don't understand the significance of the change into cat form of the male lead.
I also had a lot of difficulty with the incorrect grammar and missing letters or words the would make a sentences easily readable. Scenes changed with no warning and I had to back up multiple times to figure out what was happening. I will not continue the series because I don't want to have to put so much work into figuring out a story I am reading for pleasure.

Needs heavy editing

Cannot go over 3 stars due to the typos, lack of editing and grammar. But the overall story was actually really good. There's a couple paragraphs repeated 3 times, wrong words, descriptions that don't make sense, and a lack of consistency on small details such as how much he paid for the painting, it changes 3 times; what she tripped over, a board or a pebble, etc.
I did enjoy the story though and wish this would have been edited as it deserves more respect as a book before you publish. As is, I'd say a middle schooler wrote it, or perhaps high school that doesn't speak English as there first language. Please have your book edited and republish.

He rejects her because he thinks she's not strong enough for his world.
Little does he know that she's going to get to prove him wrong over and over again.
His little accident has him seeing her in a different light.
But he has to get past her broken heart and his family legacy.
His jealousy is endearing though.

This was an emotional, intense, sweet but harsh story. One of mysteries, surprises, and fighting for love. There are a few issues that a good edit would fix. The lost star is from the last few chapters. They could have been written so much better. They were either rushed, written by someone else, or the muse was used up.

A werewolf story with a twist.

An imaginative twist included in this tale of rejection. The plot has some unusual parts that's for sure but they make it more interesting than the average.

The characters are interesting and well developed.

The story could use some minor editing but other than that it's very good. It kind of leaves you wondering at the end but not in a bad way.

Needs Editing

The concept of the story line is good but this book was a hard read between the grammatical errors to the story line being inaccurate at times or having areas that jump around where it feels like the author had an idea but forgot to finish it
The epilogue was super confusing as well.
Just be prepared if you read this you almost need to piece part the story line together.

Did not finish. Honestly, what is this plot line? Why is he a cat sometimes? Where did that come from and why? Apparently he’s not super concerned about it either because he’s in that form more than any one is in wolf. For a wolf shifter book there is no shifting, at all. This book was all over the place. Also, probably the biggest thing, PROOFREAD. There were so many mistakes in spelling, grammar and punctuation it hurt my head to read.
