This is second in a LitRPG power fantasy. Read in order.

So you know what you're getting with this. It's not exactly the same except in concept. We get new and exciting ways for Amber to "test my limits" along with new ways to be super special. She befriends more powerful people, engages in new power conflicts with thoroughly bad people, and she gains new powers and abilities. It's all very creative even if none of it is unsurprising.

Like the first, don't expect any human interactions that make sense and some plot developments are authorial dictate to impel Amber along. You knew from the first book this would be the case so no fair griping now.

So I'm going to put this one at three stars, like the first, and again, this is a generous rating. Amber is a wrecking ball in a world of tin-pins, but sometimes it's fun to watch things bounce.

A note about Chaste: Amber actively rejects a guy or two in this one saying she just isn't interested. So this is very chaste. For no reason whatsoever, but there you go.

It's super cute and fun

I find Amber's transformation intriguing--some good, some bad. For the most part, she's likable, if
a bit doofus. I really enjoy the sidekick stories as they each find their ways through life.

Too much time was spent on the rather high-school girl's understanding of politics, but in the end, I could see why the tea-cup drama.

I really enjoyed the first book, but this one feels like it was written in more of a hurry, without nearly enough editing. There's only so many times I can read variations of the phrase "but she didn't stop there" before I just have to give up. It started being all I could see when reading; I just kept counting appearances. The phrase is such a huge part of this book that it commonly shows up multiple times on the same page.

The rest of the book is... Serviceable, but feels similarly rushed. The wonder has worn off, leaving behind a protagonist for whom things work out for no apparent reason, time and time again, without limit or variation.

good second book of the series, fast paced well done.

Excellent MC, good world building, fast paced, not too many stats just enough. Plenty of intrigue series has the potential to be a long, running one if the authors keep up this good writing. there are a few issues such as a lot of stack callouts but the authors don’t tell us where the unassigned points go. That’s just a minor quibble. This book and series could be another defiance of the fall type of series or he fights with monster type of series just have to see which way the authors decide to take it. if you haven’t read it I suggest you do so you will definitely enjoy it.

Not a big fan of this one

Straight copy paste from the blurb for this book:
There are no cheats for her. There are no gods to guide her, and some would even laugh in her face. But the pain, the hardships, and the challenges only give her strength

Then she meets multiple gods who guide her towards cheat-like powers, given pretty much for free.
These powers then make it so she can do absolutely everything better than anyone else and completely remove the whole class identity.

The writing also continues to be clunky. My guess is that this story just straight from Royal Road to Kindle with minimal cleanup without passing through an editor.

Another solid Offering

This was on the longer side, and, as a result, you wouldn’t think there’d be a whole lot more story to tell. However, there is so much potential in future installments; I absolutely look forward to seeing what happens next for our Berserker hero. This story has a bit of political intrigue, quests, great supporting characters with their own motives and complex, fleshed out personalities, and a whole lot of fighting and action. While I definitely enjoyed the previous book, this one seemed less tedious to me. Thank you for the hours of enjoyable reading.

HUH

Well the second book in this series is interesting and of course the plot thickens. Now the MC is definitely OP'ed yet given the nature of her class she is not over powered by said class. I find the direction the author is heading to be intriguing so I will definitely keep reading. I just have to put my impatient self on a time out.
I recommend the series. It does get a little redundant however I believe that it flows well with what I think the author plans on bringing to the next books. Anyway it will be interesting to see.

DNF like 150 pages in. It's just boring. There's no stakes and no motivation. After a scene in which Amber, the most oblivious and external-motivation-proof character on the planet, suddenly becomes emotional and confused because her friend met a god (after meeting two herself) I called time and binned it.

The first one was okay enough, but it was plenty to get all the mileage you could ever need out of this series. This was more of the same but longer.

the cover art makes her taller then she is

Once more into the official study guide into the life of the first Amber- type human… Ok jokes aside the series continues has the adventures of Amber’s radom wims that just become sadly comedic has she stumbled into deeper lore and curse-bash her enemies in book 2

The first book was good, thus on is better!

I really like the world building so far in this series. The mechanics are great, and well thought out. I'm not thrilled about the heroin always winning, but I still love the story. I listened to the first book, and couldn't wait for this one on audio so I read it. All said if you enjoy thus type of book, this series is a must

WAY too stat heavy. The first 70% of the book has soooo much stat reading that it kept pulling me out of the story and I had to pause and read something else. And most of the monsters are so super powered that all I’m reading is “question mark, question mark, question mark” over and over and over and over again

Great books so far

This series is one of the few that so far has been able to combine intense, bloody fights and action sequences with a pretty good story arc and great characters. All the while still maintaining a fun loving atmosphere and some laugh out loud humor. I really enjoyed the first two books . Highly recommended.

Still good

This book is much like the previous, with great action and a fun main character. The pacing is a little off, with some interesting parts being quick and a strange amount of time spent on politics. Those parts are still fun, so it's not a problem.

obsessed

I have been searching for something new that can hold my attention and this series is amazing. It’s so fun and unique and fast paced without losing me in the world building or getting to bogged down with the leveling minutia. I finished these so quickly I want more!

Story has a great progressive storyline, character building, humor and a very ambitious heroine. Strongly recommend this series to fantasy fans

Love all the level grinds. Not a MC that just overpowers everything. There is a mix of tough battles and your occasional beat down
