Another short Rivers of London moment, this one starring Augustus Berrycloth-Young of The Masquerades of Spring fame. Gussie is one of my favorite characters from the series, so naturally this moment is one of my favorite moments. There are no talking foxes (boo!), but I suppose I'll give that a pass this time considering the story takes place on a ship. I can't imagine ocean liners are a preferred habitat for foxes, talking or not.

Berrycloth-Young has run afoul of The Folly and is fleeing to New York aboard the RMS Aquitania, and the ship's captain has one small request: there's a ghost haunting one of the second-class cabins and can he please remove it post-haste? What follows is a short but amusing tale in which Gussie handles the ghost problem in a very Gussie sort of way.

Augustus (Gussie) Berrycloth-Young is fleeing to New York aboard the RMS Aquitania. The ship's captain requests his presence and has one small request - he believes there is a ghost in one of the second class cabins, and he wants Gussie to get rid of it pronto! A fun little read. I wouldn't mind a full novella about Mabel. She seems fun and zappy.
