Lovely Book✨
What a cute little story! It started with a boy and his dog searching for what is making a noise in their family home. But only the two of them could hear the sound. Everyone else is too busy to pay attention to what is going on. When they find out where the sound is coming from it’s a magical surprise. Wrapped up in an incredible dream.
In, “A Snowy Summer’s Day,” author J.L. White teaches children an amazing lesson about friendship and loss. Taking from her own personal life experiences to teach them about healing. This book is an uplifting and enchanting story to read at bedtime. Beautiful illustrations throughout the book of the characters. I highly recommend reading this story!

A Heartwarming Tale My Grandkids Loved
As a grandmother, I treasure the moments when I can curl up with my grandchildren and share a story that makes their eyes light up. The story gave us a chance to talk about how friends, loved ones, and special memories stay with us, even when things change. The artwork is colorful and engaging, and the QR code for coloring pages was an added bonus that my grandkids will enjoy. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful illustrations. The ice skating pond had a great luster that begged for outdoor play in the snow and ice of winter. However, a snowflake comes to life and wishes to play, even during summertime. In fantasy, wishes are granted, and this ends up being a magical tale that JL White weaves. No doubt children will love this tale, and adults as well. It takes the reader through loss wonderfully and gives a nice resolution which reminds us all to live each day making happy memories as much as possible.

I greatly enjoyed this book’s colorful illustrations. I also found appeal in the theme of loss and transformation. Jared’s sister and parents could have been better fleshed out, but that is a minor quibble.

Heartwarming story of imaginative adventure
A Snowy Summer’s Day could be enjoyed with children for the story and rich illustrations. And that would be great. It’s a fun, imaginative children’s book. But the way it addresses loss through Jared’s friendship with Tingle, desire not to lose him to melting in the heat, and viewing the “change” while continuing to be together in his dreams is the real magic of the story.

“A Snowy Summer’s Day” is a beautiful and poignant story for children and adults. Tingle the Magic Snowflake is a charming sidekick to Jared, the main character. There are nice visuals throughout the book which complement the text well. The author’s personal message to readers at the end of the book is powerful and bittersweet. Kudos to J.L. White for sharing her highly personal story with the world. Recommended.

What a sweet and uplifting story that dives into the difficult topic of loss. It beautifully teaches the importance of cherishing the moments spent with loved ones before they pass and finding ways to keep their memories alive. It is a heartfelt exploration of love and loss.
