Great Headline

This was a great story of drama, intrigue and faith. An orphan and her adopted brother from the orphanage and a rich man makes for an interesting book. Nathan the rich man was shot by men who was hired by Nathan’s uncle so he could get the shipping fortune left by Nathan’s dad after they blew him up in an explosion. He also tried to get Nathan killed but him and his best friend Charlie escaped. Flora found Nathan in the woods and brought him to her boarding house for care. A must read.

Interesting Western romance novel with well developed characters. After Nathan’s father is killed, he and a friend escape, but are separated. Nathan ends up in a small western town and is aided by Flora a young widow who runs an orphanage. He hides his real identity from Flora. The narrative moves along quickly with enough drama, hurt feelings, as the two main characters slowly get to know one another, while facing danger from man and nature.

Wen things look bad, miracles can happen.

From death and despair, faith can lead to a happy ending. Rescued after being shot and nursed back to health, life becomes worth living with a new found love.

It took me a long time to get through this book, there are so many errors and I had to reread paragraphs to figure out in places what the author was trying to say. The premise of the book is good and the characters and very good. I did make it to the end, and there were loose ends.

While the storyline was interesting, this author needs a better editor and proofreader. The mistakes, which were many, were distracting and cumbersome. Also, why can’t she just finish the book, rather than go elsewhere to get the ending? I won’t be reading any more of her books.

Perfect couple from perfect people

How special to grow a relationship based on no past history. Two people with such different backgrounds. Yet those backgrounds created two strong personalities who worked perfectly together.

I liked the storyline but the book would have benefitted from another round of editing. The characters were great especially her portrayal of David.
