Something is bothering Angela as they prepare for a last day in the office before getting to take New Year’s Eve and Day with their kids, enjoying the historic home they’ve just managed to move into after Christmas. Jackson knows his wife. Then she receives a text from Adam. A body has been discovered. While they can’t save the life of the young woman whose remains have been found, Angela is haunted by an old case. One that came to them early in the year, but appeared to have been the case of a young woman rebelling and taking off for an extended European vacation. Well, Angela can’t get rid of the ‘old’ for the New Year, unless . . . They head out. And in their search for just what might be going on, they’re going to receive some unexpected help. And getting rid of the ‘old’ to welcome the new may never feel quite so good again.

I have read a few Heather Graham titles and thoroughly enjoyed them but I have not read the Krewe of Hunters series and was unaware that this short story was connected to that series. That being said, I was a little confused and felt as if I was missing something but the story was very good nonetheless and has made me interested in reading Krewe of Hunters soon.
Short. A bit gruesome especially for any female reader. For any female reader who had ever suffered any sort of physical violence at the hands of a man. should probably DENOTE A TRIGGER WARNING IN IT'S JACKET. The writing was good grammatically speaking. The plot moves along. This one was one of my least liked of all this authors books just to be highly honest.
Another quick holiday story from Heather Graham and the Krewe of Hunters. Of course, Angela and Jackson want to spend the New Year's holiday with family, but are called out on a case. Angela is having strange vibes on this one. Another great story about this special FBI force.
Another great short story in the Krewe of Hunters Series. Angela & Jackson help Adam when a body is found. Will they find the killer in time? Or will they be to late & the killer claims a new Victim!?!?
I love everything about this series and always look forward to the next story. This one is such a positive and uplifting story. Something we all need as we start a new year.
Have read several of her books. Every one of them has been a delight too read Some how after I read them even though they are dealing with evil, I always come away with the feeling of peace.
A delightful edition to Ms. Graham's Krewe of Hunters series! I received a complimentary copy of this short story as a Heather Graham newsletter subscriber. This is my honest opinion.
