Reborn in Blood: Reincarnated As My Hot Vampire Alt

Rate this book
Army veteran Lawson Baker logs into his favorite MMORPG, Elder Era Online, on its final night—only to complete what most considered an impossible quest mere moments before shutdown. When he wakes the next day, he finds that he has become his vampire femme fatale character, Valeria Gremory, and is in a strange world that’s neither Earth nor the game he once played. Embodying Valeria’s memories and powers, he struggles with his new identity while navigating a realm teeming with magic and mystery.

Valeria rescues Lisa—a powerful, steadfast warrior—and quickly forms a profound bond with her. Yet danger pursues them at every turn, all tied to the machinations of a single scheming noble determined to seize power through any means. With Lisa by her side, Valeria must protect her newfound friends, untangle the noble’s plot, and discover her own place in a world that challenges everything she once believed—all in pursuit of a peaceful life.

A+ for originality. Well told and entertaining. The author's forward regarding adult material is accurate and should be respected. The unusual concept of the bonus short stories at the end are very relevant to the story line and add depth to the main content.

Fortunately volume two is already available. And I'm starting as I type this.

I'm already anticipating a volume 3 as so far April is among my top 2 new (to me) authors this year.
[ to put that in perspective I read approximately 200 books per year with about 40% of those being new to me. ]

Interesting sty

Valeria and her companions are entertaining. I like how powerful she is but also very low key. I do enjoy that several of the side characters have shown much depth. I did feel that lovey scenes, not counting intimate scene that was forewarned, got kinda repetitive after awhile. I liked the bonus stories. They helped expand the world. I look forward to the next book!

Catching

Soooo I was perusing the unlimited portion of kindle.

And!!

This book hit me in the face, a few pages in it takes off on a fantastical journey that draws you in and puts you in the eyes of the main character. And what a story it was.

Anyways I suck a reviewing, but this one needed the stars annnnd it's deserved as once I was caught I couldn't put it down.

Very intriguing story.

I'm finding myself hooked on this story. Compelling characters. Could use more spice in my opinion, but still intriguing. Five stars. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Edgy, dark, but the opposite of depressing

This book shows talent and imagination. I, personally, don't approve of the sexual content, but I admit it was well placed and not so long that it would disturb the story. I generally don't like any stories that seem to indoctrinate readers to pro homosexuality or some other non-standard development of human sexuality, but somehow I found this book not offensive in this regard. It is a true gem that expresses both a realistic main character perspective and has all the fun a well written adventure story should have. Even though thematic elements are dark (abuse, death, evil politics), the main character does not obsess over it like a caricature poorly depicting a bipolar disorder, but rather the main character behaves like one would expect an imperfect rational person in an imperfect world to behave, and then advances the story. I also enjoy the balance in discipline against the potential for carnally driven mayhem.

The reason for my earlier mentioned disapproval is that relevant authors usually give the impression they are trying to express and gain support for very poorly reasoned concepts of human sexuality that they obviously didn't come up with on their own. Here, this is not the case. I feel like this story is a genuine exploration of "what if" and makes sense in a relatable way. The genre, I like, the skilled writing, I like, and the genuine representation of a subject that has inspired great controversy, I like. This story deserves five stars even if I would be cautious about who I recommend it to.

Niche author

The author has genuine talent and a clear gift for worldbuilding — the kind that could easily carry a bestselling fantasy or sci-fi trilogy. The story concept is refreshingly original compared to most reincarnation series, and the writing draws you in fast.

That said, the constant sexual content and innuendo in nearly every other paragraph limits the audience to a niche market. It’s a shame, because this author’s imagination and storytelling depth deserve a wider readership.

Suggestions:

Consider separating the explicit content into a different series or toned-down version.

Focus on the immersive universe — it’s strong enough to stand on its own.

A clean fantasy or sci-fi trilogy from this author could absolutely hit New York Times levels of success.

The talent is there — it just needs the freedom to reach everyone, not just the Literotica crowd.

impressed

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I usually gravitate toward stories that feature earlier and more prominent physical intimacy, but this book completely won me over with its exceptional writing and compelling storytelling. The pacing is a true slow burn, yet it never feels dull—in fact, it’s incredibly engaging from start to finish. The author builds tension and emotional connection so skillfully that the payoff is deeply satisfying and absolutely worth the wait.

By the end, I was completely invested, and I immediately ordered the sequel—I can’t wait to continue the journey. This author has gained a new fan, and I’ll definitely be reading more of their work. Highly recommended!

For some reason, the Kindle app does not like me leaving reviews, so I will just leave this one here.

I don't believe that I am the target demographic for this book. That being said, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was actually one of the best books I have read this year.

Yes, there are some parts where the book seems to be trying to figure out where it is going. The thing is, those parts don't take away from the book at all.

I honestly believe that most people are going to like this book.

Highly recommended.

This was… much better than I thought it would be! I was pretty put off by the weird boundaries thing going on with Remy (who I, perhaps unfairly, found to be a pretty annoying character), but it was otherwise an engaging, fun read!

Not much else to say about this book, lol. “Guy” who Totally Isn’t Trans gets to be “his” hot vampire video game character in a new fantasy world—and actually on that note, the feudal system is given surprising attention that sets the world apart from more generic (isekai) fantasy. Cheesy and, dare I say, camp!

Pretty good

I enjoyed 90% of the book but I absolutely hated Remy since I don't think he soke more than 2 lines to the MC that wasn't a sexual innuendo or a double entendre and the golden knight zes is an idiot with her belief system about monarchies and how she treats her adopted son makes me lose all respect for her.

I can tell that a lot of love and care went into writing this book. It is technically excellent and very detailed. I'm just not feeling the vibe so it gets a DNF

(my latest entry into "goodreads needs a DNF option in the dropdown")
