I guess it's an ok read for young readers and Sonic fans. If you happen to be both, even better. For everyone else, i don't think it has much to offer. Basic plot and very simple dialogue.

If you want to shut your brain for a bit and read something light to pass the time, this will do. If you are looking something with an intriguing story and character development, i would say you can skip this one.

Aimed primarily at younger readers with its modernised dialogue and repetitive quips, DC X Sonic is full of fan service and not much else. The attempt to cross over these two very different worlds is handled well enough, and the pairings between the two are predictable, but fun. A colourful adventure that is nothing more than harmless entertainment, fans of both franchises should get at least a little kick out of this.

This was a fun time and a decent crossover. I’d compare it to a popcorn flick. They are fun and forgettable but then again sometimes they become a favorite.

j'ai kiffé de ouf le meilleur cross over de ma vie. Je pensais que Knucles était mon goat avec Batman mais je me suis trompée les vrais Goat sont évidemment Batman et Amy Rose
d'ailleurs le duo batman shadow était pépite
ah et selon mon avis Sonic est plus rapide que Flash
bref trop bien j'espère qu'il y a une suite !

the prospect of this is so bonkers it shouldn't work and yet it does. every single issue it outdoes itself with fun yet serious humour. the final issue is quite possibly the most fun i've had with a comic in a long time. incredible. ian flynn understood the assignment and went above and beyond for it.

This is a crossover event I don’t think anybody asked for or even thought would happen but here we are, the Justice League and the characters from Sonic the Hedgehog in one miniseries.

When Darkseid invades Sonic’s dimension, the Justice League hope across to lend a hand but soon the two groups are displaced, DC in Sonic’s world and Sonic in the DC world.

This had no reason being this fun. It really does not take itself seriously at all. The characters make some funny quips and jabs at each other’s universes and it is just a bit of fun. The story is simple and resolved really quickly, no major issues with it. The idea of having Shadow and Batman bond is a stroke of genius, it is a perfect fit and having Joker refer to Shadow as “Edgy the hedgy” is quite possibly the greatest dialogue exchange in this whole series.

The art is fine, some members of the Justice League look a little bit too young (primarily Superman). Towards the end of the series I could tell the artists had had enough of the story so there are several pages that are full of bright light panels that don’t really need anything else drawn in them.

Overall this is fun, nothing overly special. It is not as good as some of the other DC crossovers I have read or the old Archie Sonic and Megaman crossovers from several years back.

This was a fun read and that's all it tries to be. It's not trying to tell any kind of deep story or anything like that. Just, what if Sonic met the DC universe? Most of the comic is fan-service-y moments where were see the two gelling with each other's worlds and pretty much getting along with all the heroes and fighting all the villains. I would say my favorite parts were the scenes where Superman was interacting with Eggman or when Knuckles is talking with Lex Luthor while taking over for Superman.

I do wish a little more was done. Despite it being a crossover, the Justice League and Sonic & Co are separated for most of the run. The comic ends on an interesting note, one of the few interactions I was hoping was in the book proper, but wasn't. I'm not sure this will get a sequel, but if it does, I'd be interested in seeing if we get a little more.

All in all, hard to hate it really. It's just here to have fun and I had fun.

Well integrated interactions between the DC and Sonic characters, and lots of fanservice. Much, much better than the Multiversus series.

Read this for content review at work, but it surprised me. Who would've expected the most random crossover to actually be super fun to read? Witty dialogue between the two groups, some cameos, and easy-to-follow action on top of beautiful art makes this a great read.

Pretty fun crossover, loved Batman and Shadows parallels and that it didn’t take itself too seriously. Nice page turner with satisfying art, loved the variant covers with SA2 and the sonic meme/alex ross one lol

DC Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog are two wildly different universes. I am quite familiar with both but never felt like they needed to interact. The first panel of the first page has Darkseid appearing in Sonic's universe. Then throttles in to relentless action sequences which take up almost entirely the rest of the book, aside from brief moments where counterparts interact without telling a story. Very little is done to tie anything together. Darkseid wants the Chaos Emeralds for his conquest and, that's it. Cyborg occasionally stops everything to remind the reader that there is a plot. The book struggles to juggle ten main characters, supporting characters, and a dozen villains. Far too many ideas and cameos are squashed in to a limited 5 issue series. "How would Amy Rose connect with Wonder Woman?", "Could Batman beat Metal Sonic in a fight?", "What would Knuckles say to Superman?" are all questions that nobody asked.

A colourful and fun read although borderline nonsensical and misses all potential to be anything more than fan-service. Feels like someone writing "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" every page.
Putting Shadow the Hedgehog in a Batman costume would have worked sufficiently as an action figure.

For starters, I am a fan of both DC superheroes and Sonic and friends. And, as far as crossovers go, it's okay. Nothing ground-breaking, but nothing that will be a black mark for either fan-base.

The characters are all more-or-less true to form and their interactions and clashes of perspectives are good. The artwork is especially nice, settling for a more angular-style that works well for anthropomorphic animals and humans dressed in spandex alike. Writer Ian Flynn showcases his superb character dialogue.

The only thing that holds this back from being an easy recommend to fans of either franchise is the story. While it's not bad, it is the same type of crossover story that we have seen time and time again, with little to differentiate it from its contemporaries. And there doesn't feel to be any need for a sequel.

Fans of DC and Sonic the Hedgehog will both find things to enjoy about this book. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like something I can easily recommend to someone on the outside. As someone who has seen multiple DC crossovers in recent years, this ranks above DC x RWBY, but below the surprise gold that was Batman x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The plot and everything was a 5 star. I thought this was a great, hilarious crossover. I loved Batman and Shadow bonding in only that way Batman and Shadow can. Talk about peak fangirl moment there lol. 😂 Flash and Sonic having a man up contest was also hilarious. Knuckles as Supes was funny to see cause Supes is so mild mannered and people oriented and Knux is so… gruff and blunt but at the end of the day he means well the poor guy just spends so much time alone he just doesn’t do socialization well. But the art is where I find issue. Supes’ eyes (actually really his hair too) were a bit weird; I think they were going for anime/manga style but it just seemed like an odd choice to me. And a fat Lex Luthor? Lex isn’t fat. Lex is a tall, towering politician type persona. Short fat bald person isn’t in any of the comics/tv shows I’ve ever seen Luthor in so that was a very weird choice of drawing for me. But Luthor teaming up with Eggman at the end? Can’t wait to see what happens next. Luthor is probably gonna get annoyed with Eggman if I’m honest lol. 😂 Luthor is much smarter than Eggman and has better executed plans but we’ll see what the two geniuses do together.

It's rare to find a crossover as good as this.

While the mix between DC heroes and Sonic characters is weird, this book surprisingly has enough time to present the threat, the initial misunderstanding, and resolution, and united efforts to prevail.

Darksed invades the world of Sonic in search of the Chaos Emeralds; apparently, they can summon the Life Equation when reunited. The Justice League tracked him to this alternate world and quickly joined forces with Sonic and his friends. We actually get some cute interactions between both sets of characters, with a running joke between Flash and Sonic regarding who is faster.

Darkseid seemed odd as a villain to unite both universes, but he's written surprisingly well. Brutal and powerful, actually posing a challenge to everyone, and it makes sense that they have to work together to try to defeat him.

For a few issues, both heroes get trapped in each other's universes, and we get to see how they'd interact in these new environments. Still heroes, but using their unique abilities to solve the issues they face. Initially, I thought they'd get fused with the DC heroes (due to the Sonic dressed as Flash promotionals that I saw), but nothing like that, it's just them adapting to a different world and looking the part.

Anyway, the comic works because it treats both franchises seriously without losing what makes them fun.

Even putting aside my dislike for the naming scheme that simply labels it as a cross promotion and nothing else—art is ever more stripped to branding exercises not even trying to promise substance—I find it so strange that the title uses the brand name DC itself and not the Justice League. Is the name of the company really more of a draw or recognisable than the actual Justice League themselves? Do people get excited just hearing “DC”?

Still, this is about as good as it could have been. It’s very pretty (other than the superhero costumes the Sonic characters end up in which look atrocious on them), it has a snappy pace with each issue establishing a new set of ideas to play with before quickly moving on to set up the next one, and it has a few good gags and some charm to it. I especially like the bit in the first issue of the Justice League asking how the hedgehogs got their powers only for Sonic and Silver to say that they’re just normal men.

A fun, colourful, clearly non-canon adventure that sees Sonic and co meet and switch places with the Justice League. This was pretty good, with loads of Easter Eggs and references for long-time fans of both.

I especially liked the bond between Batman and Shadow, who became instant broody bros, and the mutual respect between Superman and Knuckles. I did like the rivalry between Sonic and the Flash, but I don't like seeing Barry Allen portrayed as a cringe, wannabe jokester. It was weird seeing him say stuff like "cope", for example, and I just feel if you're gonna make the Flash a bit immature then just use the Wally West version.

The art is really good and there's a lot of action that culminates in a big, universe-threatening showdown with Darkseid, but this was a bit short. It's clearly setting up a sequel, though, and is worth a read for fans of either or both properties.

This was cute!

I had a lot of complaints about TMNT x Naruto recently, about playing things safe, and DC x Sonic got all of those notes (retroactively, clearly) and did the opposite. This isn't just a silly team-up or something between the Justice League and the Sonic characters, this has the JL heading to Sonic's world while Sonic and friends have to defend the DC Earth for a while. There's a suitably stupid plot from Darkseid involving Chaos Emeralds which made me laugh, some great costume changes, and a big heart right at the centre of the story, plus a tease for another potential crossover like this in the future.

This is how you do these weird little crossovers between two properties you never expected to see together. Just like this.

Very cool idea.
1) This is for kids. The dialogue and story reflect that. I'm happy with that, because I want more good comics to read with my kids, but you should know what you're getting.
2) Even so, the writing felt lackluster. "For kids" doesn't have to mean low quality. This story felt very "by the numbers."
3) The parallelism between the two teams of heroes was very well done and fun to see.
4) The art is not my favorite, but it gets the job done, except for the action scenes. It is often difficult to tell exactly what's going on.

If your kids like either the Justice League or Sonic, this is great for them. For myself, I'm glad I read it, but I don't need to read it again.

Just a bit of silly, simple fun!

Most of these issues is just jumping from perspective to show DC characters doing something with Sonic Characters and vise-versa. Not a whole lot of substance.

But I like Sonic characters and this was aimed at a way younger audience so this gets a pass.

If you like Sonic and DC this is a fine read but you definitely won't be missing out on much, but still it's fine!

Bohužel dětská blbina. Na tenhle crossover mě kdysi namlsal hezký dialog Batmana se Shadowem, ale celé to stojí jen na vzájemných podobnostech z obou vesmírů. Sonic je rychlej a Flash je rychlej, tak mají scény spolu a štengrují se. Batman je drsňák a Shadow je drsňák, tak mají scény spolu... a tak dále.

Eggman je tu za blbečka a vidět Sonica, jak mlátí Darkseida, ke štěstí úplně nepotřebuju.

Yeah it’s a bit basic, but it’s really fun and I like it. I like how it pulls from all over the Sonic franchise even the lesser liked parts, I just wish that same love had been extended to DC. I love the art, I think the league is super visually appealing, and overall it’s just a fun time. Not groundbreaking, but worth a read if you like Sonic and want to see him and his cast of characters interact with The Justice League

If I could give this a 4.5 I would. It did a lot to make its premise have more heart than it had to an I appreciate that, but it seemed to lean into the fun side of things with Sonic and his friends a little bit more than it gave the Justice League a chance to shine. It's the first time I've ever read a crossover and felt it was a little one sided. I'm just saying... not having Superman collect the chaos emeralds to become SuperSuperman was a missed opportunity.

A fun and colourful adventure, with the two worlds blending perfectly together. The character match-ups were on point, and the DC and Sonic characters we encounter along the way made it even more fun. Knuckles and Superman are two of my favourite characters in all of fiction, so this was a real treat for me. Some of the dialogue was on the quippy side and it’s hard to feel the stakes with an approach this light and fun, but I had such a great time with this. The art is just stunning.

Sillier and flimsier than I expected/hoped it would be, which is maybe on me. But I did get a rofl out of Eggman calling Superman a tourist. Also I'm very sad that when all the Sonic characters had to replace the JL members, there was nothing about approx. 1438 Robins finding out that the Batman slot had been taken by a tiny grumpy traumatized hedgehog. Like... come on. I know there's limited space but that deserved a page or two at least.

An exciting crossover that gave me exactly what I wanted out of it. Awesome artwork, great character interactions, witty humor, occasional awkward dialogue, and even a decent storyline. When I pick up a book like this, I’m not expecting it to be Watchmen level writing. I had a blast reading this and really loved the artwork. Sonic and Flash especially had great chemistry. Really fun!
