About the author

Martin Handford, the man behind the mind-boggling Waldo books, began his career as a freelance illustrator specializing in drawing crowd scenes. The turning point came when he was asked to create a book showcasing his impressive talent, and the character Waldo was born—originally to provide a link between each scene. "I can't tell you how pleased I am that Waldo has taken on a life of his own," Martin Handford says. "I'd like to inspire children to open their minds to explore subjects more, to be aware of what's going on around them. I'd like them to see wonder in places that may not have occurred to them." Martin Handford lives in England.

I don’t know if am proud or embarrassed to admit that I am of the Christmas Eve Box generation, and I love including activities within that box. The best kinds of activities are ones which take a little time, perhaps a few days, and are engaging and christmasy. This is that (and there is another very similar one available too!).

Filled with Wally inspired puzzles, mazes, word searches and various games (and facts), this Christmas themed activity book packs a big punch for something which is almost pocket sized.

I expected this would be Christmas themed where’s wally - as in, yet another wally book in a new design to find wally, but it’s not at all. It’s hours of fun and perfect for young children (aged 4+ because of the difficulty of some).

Take me back to my childhood! This was so much fun! Getting back into the fun of hunting down Waldo and his friends, while also giggling at the jokes was a blast from the past.

I spent time with my kiddos going through the pages in this book, and we had so much fun with each one.
Hours of fun await!
