This is the third book of this mafia romance series. My review is not specifically for this book but the series.
This is a very typical, trope-focused romance series. I would say its an ok filler read. I think my main issue with this series was the Solokov sisters. They were supposed to be this amazing assassin and strategist, but we see literally zero of this in any of the books. The little sister is considered to be the Bratva 'secret weapon', but we never see a single successful assassination, and in fact every attempt she makes between the three books fail! Same with the older sister, 'the tactician,' but we see zero strategizing. Quinn is the only fmc in the series that matches her supposed qualifications.
Maybe I'm just being too picky, but this was not great for me.
Untouchable Queen was a great book. I love when mafia books have a strong FMC but struggling to step into a role that is male dominant and owning it. This book had a great balance between spice, anguish, and love. Even though the MMC caused alot of pain to the FMC his heart was in the right place.

She did what she had to do in order to save her sister and the men in her command. He was in love with her and only did what he did because he thought it was the only option. They have a lot to work thru and showing a united front is the first thing they needed to do. She doesn't think she can ever forgive him or trust him but time will tell. I would love a follow up on all of these characters.

Untouchable Queen by Lisa Cullen is a powerful, emotional, and fiercely captivating read that had me hooked from the very first page. As a reader who enjoys strong, independent heroines and complex, steamy romances, this book was everything I could’ve wanted and more.
The story centers around a queen who must navigate a world of dangerous power dynamics, political intrigue, and unrelenting passion. What I absolutely loved about this book is how Cullen created a protagonist who is both vulnerable and unyielding. She’s a woman who knows what she wants, and the way she challenges the world around her—while also grappling with the intense emotions and desires within herself—was something that really resonated with me.
The romance between the queen and her love interest is sizzling hot, but it’s not just about the chemistry between them. The emotional tension is palpable, and the development of their relationship felt raw and real. As much as they’re drawn to one another, there are forces at play that make them question whether they can truly be together. That conflict kept me turning the pages as I couldn’t wait to see how their love would ultimately unfold.
The power dynamics and themes of control were also incredibly compelling. It’s not just a romance; it's a story of self-discovery, strength, and resilience as the queen learns how to take control of her own destiny. I was really impressed by how Cullen explored these deeper themes without ever losing sight of the story’s pulse-pounding energy.
Cullen’s writing is evocative and beautifully detailed, making the world come alive with every scene. The settings, the tension, and the emotional depth all combined to make this book an unforgettable experience. The moments of intensity—both romantic and suspenseful—kept me at the edge of my seat.
As someone who loves reading about strong, complex characters navigating their own internal battles while also facing external forces, Untouchable Queen was a perfect fit. It’s a steamy, suspenseful, and ultimately empowering story that I’m still thinking about long after finishing it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A gripping and passionate tale of love, power, and resilience. Highly recommend for fans of strong heroines and steamy, intense romances!.

Untouchable Queen is the third book in the Dangerous Gambit series. Each book can be read as a standalone featuring a complete story with its own HEA. The author did an excellent job of creating a suspenseful, emotional rollercoaster, with a fun cast of secondary characters that added depth to the story/narrative. A thrilling read that kept me engaged from start to finish. It had a complex plot, unexpected twists and turns, well-developed and relatable characters, and a captivating storyline.
Tatiana built an empire and became a respected leader after her parents were killed. Lucian Agosti presented Tatiana with an ultimatum: either she would marry him or he would destroy her and her sister Natasha. Tatiana chose to play in this charade and cat-and-mouse game until she finds a better solution. She was driven by determination to hate him, but at the same time she felt conflicted about the attraction she had for him, as well as going through grief, hate and feelings of betrayal. Lucian is ruthless, possessive, and protective yet he was determined to win over Tatiana and make her his, despite going through feelings of remorse. The chemistry between them is intense, and the forbidden aspect adds an extra layer of intrigue. The banter between these two was everything. Both are very perceptive and possess vulnerability even though they are trying to hide their emotions.
Untouchable Queen is an engaging story that balances romance, intrigue, and danger.
Untouchable Queen is the third book in the series. While it is a standalone story, it is also a continuation of arcs found in previous stories. There is a grief summary at the beginning to catch you up to speed, but if you truly want the best reading experience, I recommend reading them in order as the complexities of the family drama is much easier to understand, as well as understanding the relationship of the other characters from the previous stories who do appear in this one. She has gone to war as the Bratva queen, with the man responsible for her parents deaths. He gets the upper hand, however, and gives her only one option to marry him or have the blood of her sister on her hands. He has known that she was to be his from the first time that he saw her and everything he has done has been in pursuit of that goal. They have a strong chemistry that neither can deny. The author has done such a good job in building these characters. You have a preconceived idea about him from the previous stories and so this is especially interesting to be able to see things from his perspective. The author does a really good job in not only depicting incredibly strong, possessive, alpha men, but also showing their vulnerable side. It is so nice to see a strong meal character who is not afraid to go all in until the woman. He loves that he is obsessed with her. She shows what feelings they have how it consumes them and their obsession with their women. She also writes strong female characters who can be leaders even in a man’s world. This makes these stories incredibly engaging. The passion and spice between them is panty ripping, steamy, butterflies in your tummy kind of spice. The happily ever after is worth every battle they had to fight until the end.

" I will do whatever it takes to make Tatiana Sokolov mine. Even if it means killing the man who raised her."
I would very much cheered for a man who make this kind of declaration for his woman, unless he kills her parents. Without solid proof, just blind prejudice, he killed her parents to "free" her. For me, that's psycho and nothing can redeemed him.
Now, I have to say, I jump on this book as my first read from the author. I only learned this is book 3 of the series. So i dont know if her parents murder were already told in previous books in detail, but the first chapter took me by suprise.
It felt like the story was jumping to him blackmailing her for marriage. But the plot was easy to follow. You'll know why when you read the book.
Super easy plot line. I feel like, its barrely there for you to think about anything heavy. The erotic genre put in the book wasnt kidding. Pages after pages, after chapter full of segs. Fine with me. But when she fall for his prowess in bed just from the first time together, yeah this so called Pakhanshah with great strategic leadership, just goes to the gutter for me.
While the MMC “You see, Tatiana. I don’t fuck. Anybody. I make love. And I want to make love to you. I want to give you pleasure until you call out my name. I’ll make you feel so good you’ll be begging me for more,”....eh...just yeah no
For the whole plot line? The mafia/bratva whatev's are only in the background. The book was heavy on the FMC/MMC personal relationship. Aka lots of segs. Four star only for the various segs scenes.
And for the secret baby and dark romance troop? Yeah, for me thats missleading.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Lucian and Tatiana Genre- Mafia Romance (Mafia and Bratva) Length- about 285 pages Heat- 5/5 Volcanoes. Who knew married sex could be so hot? Heck, who knew married people have sex? Series? Y Safety? Y Triggers- graphic violence, sex, explicit violence, language in three languages, unadulterated violence, Unaliving of family members, extreme violence. And all the blood. Tropes- Dark Romance, Forced Marriage, He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva, Do-Si-Do with the Mafioso, Surprise Pregnancy (well, kind of a surprise, but not really because they are like minks since they have gotten married), The Enemy of My Enemy Is Probably Another Enemy. What I thought- the premise of the story is intriguing: a mafia Don is in love with a daughter of the Bratva, but when her father refuses the Don’s suit, said Don kills him and forces her into marriage. It’s a really interesting study of love and whether there can be forgiveness for everything. The FMC wrestles with betrayal, grief, and forgiveness while the MMC is driven to his knees by his love for her and wrestles with feelings of remorse. Plus, there’s a side plot about their organizations having trouble getting along, and another with a deal with the Yakuza. Kept my attention, which is a feat because I have the attention span of a hummingbird on Mountain Dew. Enjoyable.

That was me falling for and getting sucked into the mafia romance world of Untouchable Queen, after only having read the first couple of chapters.
I love mafia romances. But let's be honest. You usually get stories that fallow along very similar lines. Morally grey characters, conflicts between rivaling families, a developing love story defying all odds, big showdown in the end, ...
With Untouchable Queen you get most of that as well but this book still feels like a gust of fresh air blowing through a genre that seems to be telling the same story in a thousand different ways.
Without wanting to get into too much detail and spoiling this experience I will simply say that especially Lucian is unlike any other mafia romance MMC I've ever encountered. Is there such a thing as a cinnamon roll mafia don? If that might make him sound tame, don't worry, he most definitely is no such thing. His intensity is ... Off the charts. Put together with Tatiana, and the heat is on. Better keep those fire extinguishers close.
I, for one, was not ready to let those amazing characters go and I really can't believe I didn't discover Lisa Cullens books before now. I've been missing out, and if you have never read one of her books before, you have as well. So better start catching up!
it's just pages and pages of them going at it like rabbits with no real connection
🔺 [obvious spoilers ahead] 🔻
H sees h, wants her so he asks her father to marry her. he refuses so H kills him in cold blood. forces her to marry him by threatening to kill her sister as well. she very much loved her father, he wasn't evil either so she hates H for what he did but just not enough hate to not fall into bed with him the same night they marry.
she's supposed to be this badass mafia head, heir to the bratva and all but that's a joke ig cause there was nothing badass about her. the amount of mental gymnastics this girl did every time she slept with him was exhausting to read. i'm not kidding when i say they do it every single chapter and it's her same inner monologue every single time.
and i can't decide who's the stupider one b/w these two. he's genuinely surprised that she's upset and hurt and not happy about him killing her father. like dude, what did you expect? and he's a don lmao. there's two full chapters of him feeling bad but guess how they fixed this conflict? did you guess they banged? you're right, you get a cookie
even the surprise pregnancy couldn't save them but ig that's what happens when there's no relationship to save. read it for the plot ? no. read it for the smut ? yes 😮💨

This is the final book in the Dangerous Gambit Series by Lisa Cullen. This is Lucian and Tatiana’s story. Lucian is responsible for killing Tatiana and Natasha’s parents. He forces Tatiana to marry him. This story started with Lucian appearing to be quite the control monster and I had no idea how he would be redeemed. Lisa Cullen has some tricks up her sleeve when the entire plot is revealed and we find that Lucian has been in love with Tatiana for at least a year prior to her father’s death. This was a fabulous book. The characters become enmeshed with each other from the start. The sensuous storyline is quite beautiful. There is a lot of intense push and pull between them to get past the harm Lucian has caused. There are warm and tender moments and just absolutely beautiful sexy scenes. This was such a well written book. The characters from the previous books are intertwined so we get to keep up with them. This is a Mafia book so there is quite a bit of violence as expected. I will say it’s a relief to see these main characters treat their women with love and respect. In some dark mafia books recently, there’s a lot of spanking, bruising and rough play. It’s refreshing to find an author who can write a dark mafia book that doesn’t rely on beating the main female character and call it love, I really enjoyed this series! Well done!
Lucian has bartered the life of her sister Natasha. Titiana either marries him or Natasha's real job for the Bratva will be made public to their enemies. Titana agrees. But is this a good way to start a marriage?
Tatiana hates Lucian with a passion. He killed her parents and threatened Natasha's life. She will play along with this charade until she can find a way to end it!
Lucian has been taken with Tatiana for a while. He saw the fire beneath the cool exterior. He wanted to burn in that fire. When her father Boris refused a marriage alliance, he thought he was setting Titiana free from a controlling parent, but he was so wrong. How can he come back from making such a grave error?
Titiana may hate Lucian but her body doesn't. He plays her body like a finely tuned musical instrument. Every touch, every caress, makes her body mold to him. He sets her free, lets the pressure find release, and that steam sizzles!
Can they eventually find common ground where they can let their feelings be known, or have past actions caused the walls to stay firmly up?

Lisa keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns you don't see coming along with the steamy angst between Lucian and Tatiana. Lucian murders Tatiana's parents and then makes Tatiana marry to save her sister's life. Lucian gets what he wants, and he wants Tatiana. She has a fire within her that attracts him to her. Tatiana will do anything to save her sister's life. Determined to hate Lucian for all he has done to her family, she finds that she is attracted to him. Will the pair be able to join the two families and run their businesses smoothly? I received an arc from Booksprout for my voluntary, honest review for NN Book Blog. If you love a steamy mafia romance with some angst, you will enjoy this book. Although this is Book Three in the Dangerous Gambit series, it is possible to be read as a stand-alone. But it would be better to read the other books first so you can keep up with the other characters.
I can't really say whether it was good or bad because I didn't finish it. So I gave it a three. It was not very dark . What I did read was disappointing her dad did not want her to get married and she was supposedly prim and proper but yet she wasn't a virgin she'd been around a little. I just wasn't in the mood for the same old same old. She hates him but she has sex with him on the first night because she can't control her treacherous body blah blah blah. Same old lines say my name when you come, see something you like. Supposedly she came three times. It would be much more enjoyable if there was a little bit of realism. I know it's a fantasy romance but it is not a Sci-Fi Romance. I just wish the authors could be a little more creative and not use the same lines. I think I'm burnt out on this genre if it can't have a little more originality so I'm going to try a Sci-Fi Romance LOL
Untouchable Queen is absolutely suspenseful and is definitely a page turning mafia romance. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading this phenomenal mafia romance. Untouchable Queen is the story of Lucian and Tatiana. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. The chemistry between these two characters is absolutely smoking hot. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their story unfolding throughout the pages of this book. Lisa Cullen continues to prove what a brilliant author she is with each book that I have read by her so far. I’m looking forward to seeing what will come next from her in the future. Untouchable Queen is definitely a HIGHLY recommend mafia romance.

Untouchable Queen is a great, dark, age gap, enemies to lovers-esque story and is book 3 in the Dangerous Gambit series. Italian Don, Lucian Agosti and Bratva Princess, Tatiana Sokolov take us on one heckuva journey in this one.
"The Russian princess has fire in her veins and I want to see how close I can get to the sun."
Lucian, being accustomed to getting what he wants and Tatiana, fierce and unrelenting make quite a pair.
"He sets my blood on fire and my empire on edge."
And as a bonus we get visits from Lance, Quinn, Killian and Natasha! This story as with Brazen King and Ruthless Knight is an absolute must read! The Russians, Italians and Irish all together, what more could you want?
Tasked with an impossible decision, Tatiana sacrifices herself to save her sister. Now she must wed Don Lucian of the Italian Mafia. The one responsible for the deaths of her parents. As she struggles to navigate being thrown into this mess, Tatiana must show that’s she can lead her Russian Bratva just as well as any man. But old wounds sometimes never fully heal. Lucian will do anything to prove that she means everything to him, even if he knows she can never forgive him. You won’t want to miss the finale of the Dangerous Gambit series!! Absolutely brilliant series with that has been a blast to watch unfold. I loved this book so much. I finished it and immediately wanted to restart the series again! Lisa Cullen truly rocked this book series!
I can't tell you how much I was dying to get my hands on this book after reading & loving the other books in this series. After the traumatic events of the first two books that all tied into this one Tatiana (FMC) is now the head of the Bratva. She finds herself stuck in a marriage of convenience to Italian Don - Lucian. Someone that she hates because of what he did to her and her family. To me it was the internal conflict that Tatiana had about Lucian that gripped me. The swinging between hatred, respect and trying not to fall for him throughout this book. It definitely kept me on my toes. This was a brilliant read.
Untouchable Queen is a dark age gap Mafia romance between Tatiana, who becomes the head of her Mafia following her father's murder, and Lucian, an Italian Don who blackmails her into marriage or he will kill her sister as he did for father. Tatiana agrees to the marriage to save her sister but fights Lucian every step of the way. The book is an enemies to lovers theme which has complex characters, Mafia action, suspense, danger, steamy passion, and a secret. The final book in the Dangerous Gambit Series was a great way to end the series.

Untouchable Queen by Lisa Cullen was…in a word…FANTASTIC!!!! It’s the story of Lucian and Tatiana. She despises him for what he’s done to her family. He has decided that she is to be his….and the battle begins!!! The delicious banter between these two is delectable…and always ends up the same.
Lucian is strong, possessive, and fiercely protective. Tatiana is no tenderfoot…but, a determined, respected leader in her own right. The two together is an explosion waiting to happen. Loved this story!!!
The third book to the Dangerous Gambit series by Lisa Cullen was awesome. Lucian Agosti, Dom of the Italian Mafia in NY, is smitten with Tatiana Sokolov from the moment he meets her. But her father refuses his offer to marry her, but Lucian refuses to take no for an answer. And that starts a chain of events no one expected. Well paced storyline, compelling characters, sizzle, steam, action, drama, and some twists along the way. This was a 5 star ending to this series.

While I loved the other books in this series, I think this one might have been my favorite one. The forbidden, deceitful, and treacherous way that Lucian went about getting what he wanted was dark and dangerous for all involved. His out foxing the others was interesting and they were all surprised at the deceitfulness of his game.
I love the characters and this story was an edge of the seat read. I wasn't sure what was going to happen next or if everyone would survive the danger that was surrounding all of the families. I loved it!
This has been one of the best mafia series I have read! Lucian was dark, ruthless, and intimidating; but had a soft side for Tatiana. Tatiana was a strong leader and always wanted to be in control; but, was willing to sacrifice herself. When the two join forces they are unstoppable as leaders and lovers.

Lucian and Tatiana are forces to be reckoned with both powerful in their own right. When he gives her and ultimatum, she has no choice but to oblige for the sake of her sister. This story is filled with drama that had em all caught up in the characters from start to finish. It is one a great mafia story that with colorful characters and a storyline that will have me rereading it.

OMG this series has been AMAZING! Tatiana and Lucian's story is here. When I tell you the ANSTY between them is off the page. Tatiana has reason to hate Lucian for everything he has done. Even though this is a standalone I recommend reading in order to get the full effect and the emotions. Lucian is ready to make Tatiana his and we learn why he has been the way he is. This series is a must-read I can't wait for more from Lisa.

This author is incredibly creative. With that said, there’s zero chance of a romance between a groom who kills his wife’s parents in cold blood. This stretches the bounds of credibility too far. Also, I think this author is too in love with the word adamant. She uses it frequently and in ways that don’t make much sense. I think a Thesaurus would be of great value for future books.

I absolutely loved Lisa Cullen, books and book three was amazing. This was Lucian and Tatiana's story, he wants her and will do anything to have her. Tatiana she wants him but families are at war, this was a fast paced Romance, dark mafia romance, enemies to lovers, secret pregnancy, age gap.

A brutal world took the life of Tatiana's parents, thrusting her into the position of Queen built on a dangerous empire. Her arrangement with Lucian was tense and emotional. Circumstances brought them together, and twisted motives try to separate their union. This was an exciting and suspenseful read. I could not put it down and needed to know how it all ended.
