From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes Dragon in Boots, a Paranormal Rom-Com with way too much baby oil, awkward dirty dancing, and a scorching hot love.
MEET MALE STRIPPER, ANIMAL LOVER, AND…DRAGON?
JACQUELIN Jacquelin would do anything to save her struggling animal sanctuary—including bartending at a strip club, enduring drunken bachelorette parties, and putting up with her weirdo boss, who’s obsessed with all things pink.
But nothing could prepare her for the club’s star performer with abs you could grate cheese on and an ego bigger than his, ahem, moves.
From the moment Dash struts onto the stage, Jacquelin can’t decide if she wants to throw her drink at him or pour it over her head. “Is it just me, or is it scorching hot in here?”
When the women in the audience start acting like wild animals, Jacquelin knows something strange is going on. Is Dash’s off-the-charts charisma driving her mad, or is there more to him than meets the abs?
DAMIEN Damien, the immortal tailor, has tackled demonic fashion emergencies, violent vampires, and unhinged deities. But convincing Dash—a male stripper and, oh yeah, the last male dragon on Earth—to embrace his scaly destiny? That’s next-level absurd.
But Damien would do anything to win back Sky, the love of his life, who is, well, dead and needs a new body—something only a deranged goddess can arrange. A goddess who wants an army of dragons for her war.
Can Damien nudge the reluctant dragon into the mating game? Or will Damien lose the ghostly love of his life forever?
DASH I’m the world’s greatest stripper. Not a dragon. Pass the baby oil.

Whether it’s Romance, Suspense/Thriller, or Fantasy, there are always big heroes to root for, smart and resourceful heroines, and a ton of heart pumping excitement in every story.
Mimi lives with her extremely patient husband (“Be right there! Just one more page, honey!”), two pirates-in-training (their boys), and their three spunky dragons (really, just very tiny dogs with big attitudes) Snowy, Mini, and Mack, in the vampire-unfriendly state of Arizona.
Four and a half big paranormal (there's actually nothing normal here) stars. This was an ARC copy sent to me from the author. I have been reading MJP's books for years now, and it never ceases to amaze me how this author is not locked up! Oh, hell, maybe she is! We mere mortals wouldn't know! The worlds MJP gifts her readers with are completely crazy, and bizarre, and we love it!, and her characters are no less mad. I'm sure this is Mimis decent into utter madness, (her happy place 🤣) along with her cacophony of characters. Every crazy creature you can imagine, and then some come to life on the pages, and Mimi's humor is in full swing! It's gross what Cimil gets up to, but also completely laughable. Loads of our favorite creatures are back for us to enjoy, in a fantasticly twisted story. So pull up a chair and a cuppa, and get to reading.
BAWBAGS!!! Hahahaha!!! My Scottush ancestry had me laughing.
Dragons, Demons, and Cimil, oh my! Sprinkle in more demons, strippers, dragonetts, a ghost, Belch, and Minky and you’re off on the craziest roller coaster ride of your life. What’s Damien to do when he is told by a god to look for his sister, Cimil (also a god and a real whackadoo). Well you go looking for her. When he finds her, deals are made because he needs a body for his ghost girlfriend to inhabit. But if you’ve read any of the Immortal God series, then you know Cimil lies, is very quirky, always changes her mind, and has a pet unicorn, Minky, who is invisible. Jac, our reluctant heroine, works in a strip club because she needs money for her animal sanctuary and encounters Dash, the main attraction. Women drool over this guy and Jac is not immune to his charms. One thing leads to another and mayhem ensues. Can’t get into it too much because I don’t want to spoil the fun of uncovering the craziness and how the stories of these characters intersect and evolve. All I can tell you is that it’s a roller coaster ride full of twists and turns, you’ll laugh so hard, and it will have you waiting for the next story.
Jac will do almost anything to save her animal sanctuary which includes taking this job at The Pink Pit of Pleasure strip club no not stripping bar tending is her limit and besides the dancers are all male an the headliner is so hot honestly hot enough to weaken any females resolve but Jac has no problem working there yes the first show she sorta lost her top long story lol but after meeting Dash the headliner stripper yea she doesn’t like him you see he’s bossy rude and feeds his cat whiskey like who does that but there’s just something about him that’s drawing her to him. Little does Jac know she’s working for a God and a mad unicorn who have world domination in mind starting with a stripper with hidden talents a cat who loves his drink and a poor unsuspecting Jac who’s walked into one of Cimil’s mad plans this could all go completely wrong because like most of Cimil’s plans nothing is ever straight forward. Guess you gotta read it to believe it 😂

A stellar paranormal rom com, Dragon in Boots is a laugh-out-loud roller coaster of zaniness that is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat! The Immortal Tailor, Damien and his quirky entourage are back and as always, find themselves roped into an unpredictable adventure. This novel also features animal lover and bartender Jac and the pheromone-oozing Dash.
As always, this author wows me with her creative world building, unique characters, and original storylines. I would love to get a glimpse into her mind to witness how she comes up with these eccentric characters and out-of-the-box plots. The humor is, at times, a bit campy which I LOVE! The inner musings of Damien, the snarky banter, and their overall antics leave me in stitches! This fast paced novel is Book 3 in The Immortal Tailor Series. While it can be read as a standalone, it is best to read the previous novels for the ultimate reading experience.
It’s too easy to escape reality in her books. Gods, vampires, vanity demons, dragons, and talking chihuahuas are just a few unique characters running through this story. Cimil has brought chaos to many of the books with her unicorn sidekick Minky and nothing ever stops her. What could she be up to this time? Well, it involves Damian our immortal tailor and some new friends. I highly recommend that if you’ve read reviews or blurbs and are interested in this book you must read the others in the series and then go back and read all of her books in this world. The fun never gets old. Just fair warning, you need a sense of humor, enjoy dirty jokes and silly banter. An early copy was thoroughly enjoyed and I’ve written this review voluntarily.
This book is the craziest of any of Mimi Jean’s books to date! The Immortal Tailor is asked by Votan to locate Cimil, not really giving him much of a choice. Votan suspects that Cimil is trying to get the Gods to come out of retirement. Meanwhile, in Texas, a girl desperate for money to support her animal rescue takes a job as a bartender at a strip club. The women in the club go bonkers when the headliner comes on stage along with an adorable little kitten. What goes on from that point to the end of the book is some of the strangest stuff I have ever read! I laughed so hard at times that I am surprised my granddaughters didn’t wake up. I cried as well. I finished this book in the early hours of the morning because I couldn’t sleep until I finished it! Of course, the end of the book is, as usual, not the end of this story. If you are looking for creative, outrageous, over the top characters, you are going to love this book.
This next installment has an equal amount of crazy antics that one comes to expect from Ms. Pamfiloff's work and I still look forward to what can happen next. I enjoyed this latest installment just as I have enjoyed the rest of the books for this series.
In this installment we meet Jac. A down on her luck animal lover that has taken a job at a strip club to earn money to keep her exotic and strange animal sanctuary open. Her animals have special needs but that doesn't change how she cares for all of them - she loves each one just the same. What she does not expect at her new job is to be attracted to the main event on stage known as Dash and the unexpected discovery she makes about herself.
Damien, the immortal tailor is tasked to find Cimil by the Gods and see what her latest scheme is now that she has broken out of prison. Damien and his band of interesting characters go to Dallas where he does find Cimil but then needs to convince a dragon who is a stripper to fertilize dragon eggs even though he does not want to. Damien also discovers at this time that even though Sky no longer wants anything to do with him - he may indeed be in love with her. Can Damien convince the dragon and stop whatever Cimil is up to now before it is too late? Stay tuned and find out.
This installment has the typical antics that one comes to expect when you here that Cimil has any role in a book. This book kept me guessing though and I did not expect the dragon to be the one that the dragon turned out to be. Where this can be read as a standalone I recommend reading all of the other books in the series so that one understands what is going on. Also, this book moved along well and kept me guessing what would happen next.
Overall, this was a good addition to this series and I look forward to seeing what happens next I this series.
First off, I absolutely love that the book is based in Dallas, where I live, and I really, really need to find this magical strip club here, LOL. Soooo, this book is actually part of the Immortal Tailors series, and like all other MJP books, was not anything that I expected, and everything I THOUGHT would happen, was not even close to what actually happened.
Jacqueline, aka Jac, runs an animal sanctuary for exotic animals, but when she needs money to help the sanctuary and catch up on bills, decides to go bartend at the Pink Pit of Pleasure. That’s when things start getting strange. Mrs. Peepers, who we figure out later is actually Cimil in pseudo-disguise, and her manager “Mink” do the strangest things that puts Jac off from wanting to do the job, but it’s not until the “main attraction” takes the stage, that she decides that something is not right. The main attraction just happens to be guy named Dash, and his adorable cat, Heebie, and while Dash may be super-hot, he is a grade A a-hole.
Meanwhile, Damien, the immortal tailor, is voluntold to go investigate unnatural things that are happening in Dallas by Voltan, while Sky, who is dead again, is trying to guilt him into going to rescue her sister and nephew who have been randomly kidnapped.
This book is a collage of awesomeness that makes no sense while making perfect sense at the same time. I loved the characters and the story line, but now I am especially interested in finding out more about what is going to happen with Damien and Cavi… I used to REALLY love Sky, but man, this book made me want to absolutely RAGE at her. I think that Karma definitely came back to bite her in the butt, and she got exactly what she deserved.
Fantastic – can’t wait to read the next amazing book the MJP puts out. They are always HIGHLY entertaining!!!
🔥 Read if you like: paranormal rom-coms, reluctant heroes, found family, chaotic gods, and way too much baby oil.
📚 A male stripper who swears he’s not a dragon, a ghost who needs a body, and a goddess who loves causing chaos—welcome to Dragon in Boots! Dash is the hottest act at the club, but there’s more to him than ripped abs and smirky charm. When Jacquelin, the new bartender, gets roped into convincing him to embrace his scaly destiny, things get weird fast. Meanwhile, Damien, the immortal tailor, is caught in the middle of it all—desperate to strike a deal with a goddess to bring back the love of his life.
👨👧 Dash is the definition of denial. He’s perfectly happy oiling up for screaming bachelorettes and pretending he’s not the last male dragon on Earth. But Jac? She sees through his ridiculous bravado and accidentally gets tangled in the supernatural mayhem surrounding him. And Damien? Poor Damien just wants his dead girlfriend back, but fate (and a goddess with questionable ethics) has other plans.
💞 The romance? A delicious mix of I-want-to-throttle-you banter, reluctant attraction, and undeniable heat. Jac isn’t looking for love, but when Dash’s primal instincts start kicking in, resisting him becomes impossible. And when the truth comes out? Whew.
👧 The side characters steal the show. From Damien’s exasperation to a cast of vampires, demons, and an unhinged goddess, every moment is packed with humor and chaos.
✍️ Mimi Jean Pamfiloff delivers another wild, hilarious, and completely bonkers ride. The story starts off light and fun but escalates into full-blown madness, complete with shocking twists and laugh-out-loud moments.
🌟 This book is a paranormal rom-com fever dream in the best way. It’s unpredictable, steamy, and filled with the kind of hijinks that just works. If you love romance with high stakes, supernatural shenanigans, and a hero who takes his sweet time accepting fate (but looks great doing it), this one’s for you!
📲 QOTD: What’s your favorite reluctant hero trope? Alternate for non-romance readers: What’s the weirdest book premise you’ve ever read?
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Book Review: Dragon in Boots by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff (Immortal Tailor Series, Book 3)
Damien Greyston is once again called to help find the evil goddess Cimil so her brother can finally end her existence. But Cimil, always the master manipulator, strikes a deal with him: convince the last dragon to shift back to his natural form, and in return, she’ll grant a body to Damien’s ghostly friend. To achieve this, Damien enlists the help of Jac, the new batrender, to persuade Dash to do Cimil’s bidding. However, things take a turn for the worse—nothing is quite as it seems.
From the very first pages, I knew I was going to love this book. It kicks off with eccentric characters, a creepy setting, and bizarre occurrences that immediately draw you in. Every time I think this series can’t get any weirder, the author proves me wrong!
The first half of the book is easy to follow, setting the scene, explaining what’s happening, and dropping subtle clues. Then the second half is a whirlwind of mind-blowing twists. Cimil’s schemes keep escalating—just when you think she can’t get any worse, she does! Poor Damien is always caught in the middle of the chaos, yet his quirky little family of demons, vampires, and a fairy remains a highlight.
My favorite parts? Cimil’s shocking surprise and Jac’s unexpected ending.
If you love paranormal romance packed with humor, twists, and unforgettable characters, this series is a must-read!
I was given a copy in return for my honest opinion.
What can I say? This is possibly the best book in the Immortal Tailor series. Poor Damian, despite his best efforts, is drawn back into the mayhem that is Cimil when Votan orders him to find Cimil, who has escaped her prison, so that Votan can end her. Unable to rid himself of his posse of misfits, Damian heads towards Dallas.
Meanwhile, Jac is struggling to maintain her animal sanctuary and takes a part-time job tending bar at the Dallas strip club, Pink Pit of Pleasure, owned by the very odd Mrs Peepers. The star of the show is Dash, an adonis of a man who has the customers screaming for him, throwing huge sums of money his way and tearing off their clothes. Despite her attraction, Jac dislikes Dash intensely and the feeling appears to be mutual, but Dash's kitten, Heebie, clearly likes Jac, causing more acrimony between the two.
Suffice to say, the usual mayhem that normally surrounds Cimil follows. It's a really well-crafted story, a roller-coaster ride with twists and turns you won't see coming. Every time you think things are almost resolved, you're hit with another whammy. The characters are striking, the dialogue sparkling and it's good to see some old favourites from the Accidentally Yours and Immortal Matchmakers series' make an appearance, as well as the group of supernatural reprobates and oddballs who surround Damian. It's madness and mayhem and I laughed out loud so many times I nearly cried. Just brilliant & definitely the best yet. Can't wait to see what's coming - mwahaha!
There's only one storyteller I can count on for a wacky, madcap paranormal romance ride with wildly unique but ridiculously endearing supernatural characters. Our girl, MJP, always has our back when it comes to a phenomenal, unique, PNR reading experience.
In this episode of adventures with Damien, the immortal tailor, we go to the great state of Texas. Jacquelin Flanagan runs an animal sanctuary, and she needs extra income to cover the many expenses of caring for exotic wildlife. This leads to her tending bar at an all male strip club, a place where the women turn into wild animals when headliner Dash struts his stuff.
It's not long until Damien arrives in Texas with one mission: convince the last male dragon to embrace his heritage and legacy. Dash, however, has other ideas, but he answers to someone else. He's not at all in favor of resurrecting the dragon race and would rather spend time with the new bartender.
With an eclectic cast of characters we’ve come to love (or hate, as the case may be), it was pure delight and lots of giggles being in this world again. We sill don’t know if the immortal tailor will find his forever love, but I can’t wait for our next foray into this charming, crazy world. In the meantime, dive into this one and get to know all the players. Who knows? You might just stumble upon some steamy times and find out that dragons do it best.
You're almost always guaranteed a lot of grins, giggles and guffaws with any Mimi Jean Pamfiloff book. She does have darker stories but the majority of her work has a comedic bent that ensures you are in for an entertaining bit of reading. Dragon With Boots is no exception. You're in a treat that starts off with a startling warning and never slows down. Damien Greystone (the Immortal Tailor) once again tasked with doing a God's bidding by discovering the errant Cimil's whereabouts because she's up to her usual chaotic schemes that could lead to disasters of epic proportions. Minky is there right with her and running amok. Add in a group of middle aged dragonettes, Belch and his usual drunken shenanigans, a deceptively sweet cat, a strip club, an exotic animal rescue and Damien's oddball family group that vex him at every turn. As you can well imagine, bedlam reigns.
All Jac wants to do is make enough money to keep her exotic animal rescue afloat. She didn't count on a seductive stripper named Dash to completely undo her. When she's told Dash's secret identity by Damien she ends up finding out something about herself that shakes her to her core. Now she's got an ancient dragon shifter bent on making her his and a demon whose fate may lie in her hands.
As always you better know what you are reading or you could be...shocked or worst...this instalment is right in the series Damien once again is caught in the gods's schemes and given difficult task: capture Cimil who is still as crazy....after vampires he is supposed to save...Dragons...
Honestly....i'm starting to enjoy these less, but it's only me, it's well written but Damien keep suffering and i don't know i would have hoped for him to get something positive for once..One good point one : "vilain" finally get a karma backfire but still not suffering enough in my opinion, yes i like when bad guys get punished and well. Damien is still helping everyone and this situation is even more risky with a team reduced and strong oppponent Dash , the stripper and more is loyal and protective ; i liked that about him and Jac is sure to see kitten under a new eyes. She is attentive to other and a great character, determined for sure despite discovering a total new world
the cliffhanger oh my the craziness is far from over and i fear he will have even more problem ahead because of Cimil team
really if you love crazy paranormal and are adult this is series worth trying you won't be indifferent after for sure
Reading a new MJP book is like coming home to a crazy, unpredictable party with the most unconventional, bizarre guests, costumes and games you probably can't even imagine, yet know you're where you're meant to be.
In this latest Immortal Tailor installment, we have Jac, champion of the unwanted, weird and wonderful animals who don't belong anywhere else. From an incontinent bat to a 3 legged giraffe, Jac loves her animals but is running very short on cash. To help, she gets an evening job at a strip joint, with the oddest owner and manager. There is more here than meets the eye, especially with the way women lose their mind and clothes when the star act Dash struts his stuff.
With the infamous twists and turns we've come to expect but can never predict from this amazing author, I think she's finally cracked and taken the crazy to a whole new level!
Of course we have Damian and his found "unwanted he claims" family of misfits, but will he ever manage to find his happily ever after with ghost Sky, or does fate (or Bat $h1t crazy Goddess Cimil) have other ideas? With invisible, evil unicorns, an in heat Dragon, demon chihuahuas, a teeny tiny sex fairy and much much more, this book is so much fun? I did love the twist with Sky at the end.... haha!!
Thanks Mimi!!
You don't have to read the previous books in the series, but it definitely helped to understand how the crazy fits together. Can't wait for what's next
This was one crazy roller coaster of a ride with Jac as she gets a job as a bartender to help pay for her animals when she comes face to face with Dash a very hot and sexy stripper and his little cat. They don't get on at first but things heat up and it's never straight forward and this is what i love about Mimi's books there always hilariously funny and a bit bonkers and nothing is as it seems. I loved how we met Damien, pet, Sky, and a few old favourites as they ran after Cimil and her crazy antics. But I think Jac did very well considering everything going on, and I forgot how funny the gods can be, especially Belch and his love for partying. And how grumpy Gabr'an and Votan can be. I also thought the end with Jac and Dash was super hot but funny at the same time. And of cause, mini is amazing at happy endings and a cliffhanger with a twist to the story that will keep us all wondering what's going to happen next. I can't wait!!
4.5 stars for me and this is definitely one of those books (and authors) who leave me saying: What did I just read again?!? This is book 3 in Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's The Immortal Tailor and can be read as a standalone but definitely a great addition to the series. While our tailor Damien finds himself in the thick of it yet again with some outlandish and crazy gods, our story also goes to main characters Dash and Jacquelin and the twists and turns Pamfiloff take us to get to their HEA. Layers upon layers of paranormal characters with an intrigue that seems singular to Pamfiloff. I truly can't get enough of her imaginative writing and the worlds and characters she writes. Such a fun read with plenty of giggles and just the right heat level. I am eager to find out where the latest twist will take us!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.
Mimi you have done it again. Damien has been asked (I mean he can't really say no) to locate his sister Cimil, because Low and behold he suspects shes up to no good... again. Of course Damien locates her and deals are made... Damien needs a body for his ghost girlfriend. But in true Cimil fashion she lies and is not to be trusted. Jac our reluctant heroine in this one works in a strip club to raise money for her animal sanctuary. But its Dash the headliner that has everyone drooling. Then in true Mimi style... mayhem ensues. This crazy rollercoaster will keep you enthralled and uncovering craziness you never knew you needed. Twists and turns, lots of laughs and the unexpected. A must read.
I was given a complimentary copy but voluntarily chose to review.
Oh wow. I always think I know what I’m in for when I sit down to read a Mimi book (and, yes, they’re so good I read in one sitting)…but I am NEVER right. The imagination that goes into these stories astounds me. I loved every minute!! On one side, you have new characters, Dash and Jac. On the other side, you get more of the Damien and his Immortal Tailor band of crazies. Let’s throw in a few Gods from the Accidentally series (can’t leave out any of Cimil’s brand of crazy.) In mad Mimi style, there are twists and turns that you won’t see coming and an ending that will leave you NEEDING to know what’s going to happen next. 5 stars!!!
Mimi's books are like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get!
And isn't that the truth?
This is hilariously funny, and sweet at times and keeps you updated on all the characters we love from the Immortal Matchmakers world, along with new characters dipping in. I love Pet, Gorgonzola and Bonbon, they're quirky enough to keep you guessing what's going to happen next. I really feel for Damien, I was hoping this was going to be it for him and Sky but I am looking forward to seeing what happens with Queen Caviar de Catelina
Oh Mimi…You are such a talented entertainer of words. When I read one of your stories, I get immersed in a world I want to belong to. I want to personally know your crazy characters, Cimil and Mindy and Damien and his crew to name a few. Like the other Immortal books in this series, which you need to read first, this book will have you laughing out loud and saying what just happened? There’s twists and turns with dragons and gods and many other special creatures. If you want to get lost in a fantasy world, then start this series ASAP!
Cimil is staging a revolution and Damian is tracking her down. Getting a new body for Skye seems like a good idea but now she wants to pass on (or does she?). Jac is desperate to save her sanctuary and takes a job in a male strip club where she meets Dash. She discovers supernaturals, demons and dragons exist and one of them wants her. Can Damian help or will all hell break loose? Humor, betrayal, love and fun, this book has it all. Poor Damian just can't seem to win. I loved it. I got this ARC and read it straight through
I would give it a 10 star rating if possible. Great return of the gods combined with the tailor and his strange family of creatures. Cimil is at her best causing mayhem and making and twisting promises once again. Many surprises with dragons and gods and demons. A great combining of the Accidentally series with the Tailor series with another cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next book. Come on Mimi get to writing.
I always know when I read a new Mimi book it's going to be a great ride. This one is no exception. Jac needs money for her animal sanctuary, and boy is she going to need that.. Dash is the greatest stripper ever just ask him. in denial that he is a dragon.. He is a stripper!
I love how Mimi is able to weave old and new friends together to write a fantastic story.
I can't wait for the next book in this series to see what happens to Damien next.
I enjoyed reading this story it took me on a wild crazy ride with some twists and turns and Laughs. I was drawn in to find out who everyone is what is happening to them and how they deal with it. I had to read this twice to make sure I didn't miss something. Love the crazy wild world that Mimi creates in her stories and look forward to reading more of Mimi's books.
Damien Greyston is called to help find the goddess Cimil. Cimil make deal with Damien to grant body to Damien ghost friend. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
O.M.G!! This book had me snorting out my drink and giggling so hard that my husband started looking at me funny.
This book has no shortage of Mimi's genius nature with so many twists and turns you never see coming along with naughty gods and other supernatural beings.
Mimi certainly has a way of writing witty quips and a story that brings you in and leaves you feeling good.
This book certainly delivers what I have come to expect from the author and I am never sorry to pick up another book of hers, but sad when it seems to end so fast. (Only because I could not put it down!)
Certainly a book and series I would pick up again!
This well-written book has drama, danger, twists, romance, secrets, revelations, crazy antics, and humor. The secondary characters are defined, and OTT. The MCs are awesome, likable, engaging, and pack some large secrets. I enjoyed reading this entertaining and humorous book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
