Dick Stone is Regency England’s hardest-working man.
Lord Edward Richard Stone — “Dick Stone” to scandalous society — is a marquess’s second son with scars from the Peninsular War, an empty purse, and a business curing the ton’s most delicate succession crises. When two foppish friends hire him to put a bride in the family way, Edward thinks it’s seduce the lady, collect the fee.
But Lady Maria Mabbot is not merely innocent — she’s curious, eager, and far too intrigued by her neglectful husband. And Charley Mabbot? He spends more time at the molly house with his best friend than in his wife’s chamber.
Edward proposes a mutually pleasurable a sword-crossed ménage that will leave Maria expectant, Charley fulfilled, and his own coffers replenished before he rides off into the sunset.
The Regency Stud Makes a Ménage is a filthy, fast-burning 10,000-word romp featuring a sporting veteran with a truth-telling pikestaff, his requisite urchin sidekick, and a marriage problem only the greatest libertine of the age can solve.
Lord Edward Richard Stone has taken up a rather scandalous job for himself. He is what's known as a regency stud. He is available to those in the ton who need their wives bred and can't do it themselves.
In this installment, Edward is happy to oblige breeding a young wife whose husband turns out prefers the company of men.
So I liked this, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The main character is NOT part of the HEA, even though he does participate in the sex. He is a true stud in that he is only there for a job.
Now, on the one hand this could be terrible. But the way it's done is pretty interesting. I loved how Edward went above and beyond to find a long term solution for the married couple -- which entails inviting the husband's best friend into the bedroom so he can get it up while his friend impregnates her.
Anyways, we don't really get to know any of the three people the story is about. Edward is a vibrant character and I liked him a lot. It just wasn't what I was expecting.
At this point I don't think I'm going to continue the series. I enjoyed this one, but it's not what I look for in a ménage.

Feeling rather down in the dumps on a Friday afternoon, I turned to historical erotic writer Elizabeth Roubaix. This time I read “The Regency Stud Makes a Menage” book one in the series Dick Stone, Regency Stud. I really like this character that Ms. Roubaix has created. He’s funny, he’s cynical, he’s smart, he has a keen sense of observation, and he’s learned to earn money the best way he knows how. And, best of all, I like that Dick loves his job servicing those in need. This short and sweet novella wastes no time getting to the heart of the matter, who is hiring him and why. Lots of dirty talk, enough steam to fill a sauna, and breeding, lots and lots of breeding. Lord Edward (aka Dick) goes above and beyond by showing the married couple and the husband’s male lover how to become a family. A great happy ever after for his efforts. I did enjoy reading the bits about Lord Edward’s past and some of the reasons why his father cut off his funds. Anyway, by the end I was smiling! If you love these kinds of stories you’ll fall fast for this one.
The infamous Dick Stone bringing people together one bedding at a time.
Sent home from the war following an indiscretion with a commanding officer’s wife and a reduction of allowance has led Dick Stone to offer his breeding services.
With his newest client though, he sees an opportunity to bring the wife and husband closer together. With a monetary incentive, the duo needs to be a trio to work in and outside the bedroom.
A very creative solution is derived to solve the couple's marital woes and keep them both very happy, in love and with a growing family to boot. Plus it's super steamy reading how they get this HEA ending.
Adorable. Fans of the genres know but a lot of the rest of you all don't: historical romance and erotica can be some of the most progressive, open-minded feminist LGBTQ+ friendly writing out there. Sure this story is naughty AF but it's also charming.
How is this so sweet about a hired stud impregnating a neglected wife!?!? Hero's prick is the stone of truth and he solves problems with it one marriage at a time.
This story has a hilarious romp! Lord Edward is an absolute naughty mess who found a way to make a living doing what he absolutely loves, while also bringing immeasurable value and pleasure to other's lives. His primary services as a problem solver got upgraded as he added matchmaker to the list for the Mabbots and the mystery of the cold husband. Between Lord Edward's intelligence, his snarkiness, his filthy mouth and his long stroke game, you'll be hard pressed to not like this MMC.
Lady Maria and Lord Charley have a problem! They need an heir but haven’t managed to conceive after two years! Enter Dick Stone! Will their problem be solved? Five white hot shooting stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Two friends want Lord Edward to work his magic to help a married woman. But Lord Edward comes up with a better plan to greatly improve the situation. I sure like his thinking (for the best over solution). Lord Edward can sure think quick.
This second book in the Dick Stone Regency Stud series was an erotica historical romance novelette. It was a very filthy, pageturning threesome romp. Marital bedroom woes need a creative solution that includes steamy sexual techniques and ideas to fix their rift and lead to a happy ending.
This is only a short book and it could easily have been nothing more than a wham bam thank you maam treatment set in Regency times. However the author manages to develop a real character for the titular stud Richard and provide some empathy for the situation of a young married couple where the husband is gay and needs his wife to produce a baby.
