In the introduction to the series we meet the powerful force that is Shiba.
She has natural talents that were honed by her first handler.
As this book begins she is awaiting the arrival of her new handler.
It takes a while for them to appreciate each other.
Their job is to safeguard the boarders between Us and Them.

It is an adventure you will enjoy following.

I am so glad I could dive right into book 2 after having read the first book, which I also loved.

In book one we were introduced to Shiba and the duties of the line guards.
Now Shiba and Tallon, her partner and handler, have gotten to understand each other better and work well as a team.
They are not the only team guarding the line between Us and Them.
Most teams are human males and their hounds, but there is also a remarkable female handler. Her dog, Sabre, brings his own talents to the job.

Will Sabre and Shiba compete or learn to work together?
Will Magic slip across the line?

The series continues to get better and better.

A delightful fantasy romp for this third book in the Right Bitch trilogy.

I hope this is not the final book in this series. It has so much potential.
Magic comes in different forms in this installment.

There is still magic that must be avoided; the home lands must be prevented from it crossing over.
There is also magic of a different kind, a beneficial magic that the hounds have to figure out.
What happens when you, either human or hound, is exposed to magic?
Has it already happened?

I was fortunate to win the 3 book collection of this series but my opinions are my own.
When the series continues it is on my must read list

Woof!

The Right Bitch Trio is a series of three connected short stories about the dogs who, together with their handlers, help protect their humans from magic smugglers.

There is a sense of more happening (why are people attempting to smuggle magic, for instance?) but this is a dogs-eye view. The dogs don't care about the greater political scene and this is how it should be. Their job is to sniff out illegal magic and their concern is doing it well.

Shiba (the bitch in question) has to first train her new handler, Tallon, who just doesn't understand. Then she has to cope with Sabre, a male dog, with whom we sense a romantic interest. And, in the final story, puppies.

A quick read, good fun and an excellent sense of a dog's world. Well worth a little kennel time.

What a lovely 45 page trio of short stories about the same four characters set in a time with magic and dogs that wear armor. Blue Tick Hounds and their people are at the center of this book that has magic do-bad type characters to be thwarted and magic to overcome. Love is in the air in this book and what a delightful romp the author has created for both human and canine. I thoroughly enjoyed all three of the stories!
